195 Zerg: Major General X Falls into the Hands of a Malicious Mental Groomer
◎Yearning to be invaded, to be pierced through◎
X had just concluded his expedition and returned to the Capital Star.
His stellar performance during this expedition was enough to make him a candidate for Admiral.
Yet his mental state had already deteriorated terribly.
X was not certain whether he could hold out until the day he became an Admiral.
The higher he climbed on this path of power, the more lost he felt.
With the passage of time, the likelihood of finding the little male grew lower and lower.
This seemed to have become purely an obsession in his heart.
Without a glimmer of hope for success.
Even if he climbed higher and held more power, he could not unearth the little male’s traces from this boundless universe.
Perhaps he would ultimately march into the grave carrying this obsession.
His adjutant urged him to choose a male to marry.
If he did not wish to be bound by family, to at least seek out a mental groomer for treatment.
Over these years, from an ordinary military female possessing nothing, he had risen to become the Major General of the Third Legion and the commander of the Bloodblade Unit.
Such rocket-like promotion speed had consumed his very life alongside it.
This suicidal fighting style made many bugs revere him, while also worrying those who truly cared for him.
Even the Marshal who had nurtured and promoted him personally advised him to pause and rest.
Yet X could not stop.
His mental realm was far more critically damaged than the adjutant and the Marshal believed.
As early as his time in the Dark Star Region, his mental realm had already been mostly shattered.
Now, he survived solely on the obsession of searching for the little male.
The little male was his only motivation to keep living.
If he stopped, he would perish in an instant.
As for males and mental soothing…
His mental condition was not something ordinary males could resolve.
And those males capable of doing so would inevitably demand an immense price.
X still had many things left to do.
He had not found his little male yet.
He did not wish to offer up everything, driven around by a male from then on.
X had already made up his mind.
While consciousness remained, he would continue to carry out his mission of searching for the little male.
Afterward, even collapsing to death from mental breakdown would be a form of release for him.
However, the investigation results sent from an old acquaintance in the Dark Star Region thoroughly derailed X’s plans.
[Back then, the weapon of mass destruction that demolished your residence came from the Zerg Marshal’s mecha.]
[It was the Zerg Marshal who killed your little male!]
X’s eyes nearly split with fury.
He was unwilling to believe it, yet the materials provided by the other party were complete, the evidence incontrovertible.
That weapon was one he had seen while sparring with the Marshal, though the Marshal had not used it at the time.
It was the exclusive armament of the Marshal’s mecha.
One of a kind.
For the first time, X felt mocked by fate.
His little male had actually died beneath the artillery fire of the Marshal who had nurtured him with his own hands and treated him like a mentor.
Even though X had always refused to admit the little male was dead.
He knew in his heart that beneath such bombardment, no male could survive.
Even if he became an Admiral of the legion, could he take revenge?
That was the commander of the military, the Zerg Emperor’s Female Monarch, the Empress of the Empire.
Both imperial princes were born from him.
The Second Prince was a comrade who had fought side by side with him.
The Eldest Prince was the imperial heir, the future Zerg Emperor.
X closed his eyes in despair.
“Commander! Good news!”
The adjutant’s excited voice sounded from the other end of the terminal.
“A mysterious A-grade Excellency at the Mental Soothing Center is willing to accept commissions tonight! I submitted an application using your credentials, and it was approved!”
“The other party quoted two hundred thousand star coins. It’s a bit pricey, but high-grade mental soothing that can be bought with money is the cheapest kind of all.”
“However, this Excellency has a few special requirements. He is unwilling to reveal his identity, so…”
“Commander? Are you listening?”
Receiving no response for a long while, the adjutant asked in confusion.
Throbbing with headache, X rubbed his temples.
In his current state, he was no match for the Marshal whatsoever.
He needed mental soothing.
Only by stabilizing his mental state could he stand before the Marshal and interrogate him as to why he did that.
Did he know that a little male with light golden hair perished beneath his bombardment?
He was only six years old…
“What are that mental groomer’s requirements?” X asked.
“The location for the mental soothing is designated by him, you must wear an inhibitor, and… during the soothing process, you must absolutely obey the groomer’s orders and satisfy all of the groomer’s demands.”
“It sounds like a lot of demands, but this mysterious Excellency has excellent reviews.”
“He accepted several commissions previously, and the reviews were a continuous stream of praise. All said the soothing effect was extraordinary, and some military females even broke through their ranks because of it.”
The adjutant said, “I consulted some familiar military females; this Excellency is very good-natured, just relatively aloof.”
“Wearing black robes and a mask, he has zero physical contact with females, performing the soothing across half the room. He barely speaks, and his only requirement was forbidding females from approaching him.”
Pondering for a moment, X said:
“Alright, do as he says.”
He needed mental soothing.
Just as the adjutant said, an A-grade mental soothing obtainable with money was already the cheapest and best choice.
As for the other requirements, it was likely because the male did not want his identity exposed.
After all, across the entire Capital Star, there were only a handful of A-grade males like this.
All of them were noble Excellencies who drew widespread attention.
If exposed as taking mental soothing commissions for money, it would surely damage his status and reputation in male social circles.
Performing mental soothing on females for money was probably considered very shabby in the eyes of those noble Excellencies.
·
The address given by the mysterious Excellency exceeded X’s expectations.
It was surprisingly in the underground district.
Compared to other places, the underground district of the Capital Star could already be considered orderly.
Yet compared to the bustling neatness of the surface, it still appeared chaotic and noisy.
Passersby were a mixed crowd, streets narrow, bugs shoulder to shoulder.
High-grade Zergs and low-grade Zergs mingled together, some here to enjoy nightlife, others bustling for a livelihood.
Following the address provided by the groomer, X arrived at an exceptionally out-of-the-way equipment shop.
Inside the shop sat only a petite sub-female dressed in black robes and wearing a mask…
Sitting behind the counter, modifying a silver-white gun.
X cast a glance over.
He could tell the sub-female’s technique was very professional and his modification concepts excellent.
Yet that gun was distinctly the Mercury Snake recently phased out by the military.
X’s eyelids twitched.
Although phased out from the first tier, it hadn’t reached civilian grade yet, had it?
This shop was skating on the edge of the law.
X casually glanced over the weapons displayed in the shop.
Instantly finding it even more illegal.
Many weapons far exceeded civilian parameters.
There was even a hyperspace jump device here; spatial technology had always been an official monopoly.
Under normal circumstances, X might have casually contacted military females in the police bureau to give them some work.
Yet today he had come for mental soothing.
He now somewhat suspected he had come to the wrong place.
After all, no matter how one looked at it, this didn’t seem like a place a male Excellency would visit.
Just as X hesitated, the “sub-female” who had been focused on modifying the firearm looked up at him.
A calm, clearly synthesized mechanical voice came through.
“Are you wearing an inhibitor?”
X looked at him in surprise.
For the other to say such words proved that he hadn’t come to the wrong place at least.
“I am,” X said.
He wore a high-collared black trench coat today, the inhibitor clasped around his neck.
The eyes beneath the “sub-female’s” hood swept over him from top to bottom, then retrieved a silver-white bracelet, placing it on the counter, fair and slender fingers flashing past.
“Put another one on, then wait in the first room on the left of the second floor.”
The mechanical voice instructed.
With X’s strength just half a step shy of SS-grade, an S-grade inhibitor couldn’t fully restrict him, but if another was added…
“Is this the instruction of the male Excellency?”
X glanced up toward the second floor.
Even with his senses mostly muffled by the inhibitor, he was certain there were no bugs upstairs.
The “sub-female” looked at him once more, an icy voice drifting from beneath the hood.
“Yes.”
Hesitating for a moment, X picked up the bracelet inhibitor and put it on.
He didn’t have many choices.
That A-grade male willing to accept commissions was already the best option available to him.
A sudden wave of weakness and lethargy washed through his body.
X quickly adjusted his posture, his body still ramrod straight, revealing no abnormalities.
Adjusting the bracelet inhibitor, he gave a slight nod to the “sub-female” in the shop, stepping toward the stairs.
·
After X went upstairs, Mu Si in the black robes put away the modified firearm, locking the shop with one button.
Retrieving a prepared box from beneath the counter, he stood up to head upstairs.
That X hadn’t recognized him in the past had already annoyed Mu Si greatly.
This time, X had actually mistaken his gender.
This infuriated Mu Si even further.
Mu Si selectively ignored his own disguise, as well as his underdeveloped stature prior to physiological awakening.
Believing this was entirely X’s fault.
How could X fail to recognize him?
If you truly cared about a bug, you could recognize them even if they turned to ash, couldn’t you?
Just like how when X was still far at the entrance of the alley, he had recognized his mental fluctuations.
He gave X so many opportunities, even taking the initiative to speak with him, yet X still hadn’t recognized him.
He clearly didn’t care about him at all.
He had to retaliate fiercely.
From a hidden compartment on the shelf, Mu Si retrieved a beautiful yet menacing silver-white long whip.
His fingers brushed along the whip’s body, which resembled snake scales.
The originally raised scales flattened smoothly beneath his touch, fitting together seamlessly, exquisite and gorgeous like a piece of art.
Yet this did not alter its nature as a lethal weapon.
Mu Si added the long whip into the box in his hands.
·
Inside the second-floor room.
X looked at the cramped room holding only a bed, a chair, and a table.
Hesitating briefly, he stood straight on the floor in the center of the room, awaiting the male’s arrival.
The door was pushed open, and in came that petite “sub-female” dressed in black robes.
The “sub-female” glanced at him, closed the door behind him, and ordered:
“Take off your clothes and lie down on the bed.”
X furrowed his brows slightly, saying coldly:
“Apologies, I only accept orders issued personally by the male Excellency.”
Saying this, X suddenly realized something.
Looking again at the bug across from him dressed in black robes and wearing a mask.
His eyes widened in astonishment.
Black robes, mask…
“Y-you… You are the mental groomer Excellency?”
X was stunned.
It was no wonder he was astonished; what male could modify firearms with such familiarity?
Preconceptions had led him to subconsciously regard the petite black-robed bug behind the counter as a sub-female.
“Heh.”
Mu Si sneered coldly. Not bothering to waste words with him, he released his psychic power directly.
This was a male’s best proof.
Immense psychic power weighed down upon X’s shoulders; his long-dead mental realm screamed with yearning.
Yearning to be invaded.
To be occupied and controlled by the male’s psychic power.
X broke into a profuse sweat.
Clenching his teeth hard, he held back from making a sound.
Straining with all his might not to kneel before the male’s feet and beg for bestowal.
Yet his pheromones, stimulated by the male’s psychic power with an exceptionally high compatibility, released instinctively.
X’s pheromones had a very faint scent, lacking any distinct fragrance, merely a crisp, cool chill.
At first, Mu Si hadn’t even noticed that X had released pheromones.
Until he felt the ambient temperature seem to drop.
While his own body was inexplicably growing hot.
Only then did Mu Si realize something was wrong.
Yet it was already too late.
His pheromones had been triggered by X.
Rich, sweet pheromones flooded the entire room, the fragrance of sweet flowers and fruits burying the chill in an instant.
Under the dual stimulation of psychic power and pheromones, X could support himself no longer.
His legs turned weak, collapsing onto one knee on the floor.
Looking up in dishevelment, he glared fixedly at the male standing at the door.
Fierce fury and humiliation surging within his eyes.
