Tianjia: Little Tentacle Monster Mu Si 2

◎X was entangled by tentacles, dragged into an underground nest◎

After handling his military affairs through the terminal, X brought the glass bottle to the bedside table, said “good night” to the little tentacle monster in the bottle, and only then went to sleep.

The room darkened, leaving only the dim light glowing from the bedside constant-temperature system.

Mu Si crawled around inside the spacious large glass bottle.

Confirming that this glass bottle was not something the current him could escape from, he gave up struggling.

Finding a random spot at the bottom of the bottle to lie down, he viciously glared at the shallowly sleeping black-haired Tianjia on the bed, drawing circles in his heart to curse him with nightmares.

The Tianjia on the bed slept so peacefully and soundly that Mu Si gradually felt sleepiness creep up on him.

He let out a yawn, gathered his tentacles beneath him, and fell into a deep sleep lying on his front.

Perhaps the curse of a psychic-type tentacle monster truly possessed enough power to influence surrounding intelligent lifeforms.

X indeed had a rather restless dream.

In the dream, the little tentacle monster he raised grew bigger and bigger, growing up healthy, robust, and beautiful.

Yes, X thought those colossal, crystal-clear tentacles were breathtakingly gorgeous.

The grown-up tentacle monster had an astonishing appetite, and the space it needed for activities became far larger.

This was nothing, as X possessed sufficient resources to feed it.

He owned a private planet where he could raise the tentacle monster.

The real trouble was that the adult tentacle monster awakened its instinctual reproductive drive, wanting to obtain gestators to propagate offspring.

This was something X could not tolerate.

He was willing to raise the tentacle monster with the finest resources, nurturing it to be robust and magnificent.

Yet he absolutely could not accept it capturing intelligent beings as gestators to carry out unethical, wicked reproduction.

He couldn’t bring himself to destroy the tentacle monster he had raised with his own hands, so he merely imprisoned it on his private planet, forbidding it from leaving.

X often went to visit it, feeding it specialty foods he brought back from across the universe just like usual.

During a feeding, X was momentarily careless. Entangled by tentacles, he was dragged down into a deep, dark subterranean nest…

    ·

The next morning, when waking up from his slumber, X’s head was still throbbing faintly.

X propped his head up and sat up from the bed.

This was an old ailment of his.

Females possessing both Zerg and Tianjia bloodlines would more or less suffer from some mental realm issues.

Only the mental soothing of a male could treat it.

X had formidable strength and unshakeable willpower.

Relying on his own strength and tenacity, enduring mental riots was not an issue at all.

He had lived this way for all these years.

He never sank beneath the influence of psychological problems.

It was just that last night’s dream had likely been far too awful.

X’s mood at the moment was not very good.

In the dream, the tentacle monster he had painstakingly raised actually turned against him and attacked him.

X’s mood was even worse than if he had encountered a subordinate’s mutiny.

With a dark expression, he picked up the glass bottle sitting on the nightstand, staring intently at the little tentacle monster that had just awakened inside.

The tentacle monster before him was still very small, not even the size of his fist, completely incomparable to that colossal behemoth the size of a warship in his dream.

Yet they were so strikingly similar.

    Equally crystal-clear, stunning, and beautiful.

X opened the glass bottle, poured out the dazed, newly awakened little tentacle monster, held it in his hand, and kneaded its soft, bouncy body as he warned:

“Remember, I am your master. You are not allowed to make a move against me, and you are not allowed to attack me.”

A completely stunned Mu Si: Ah?

“You wouldn’t want to know the consequences of attacking an SSS-grade Tianjia.”

    X warned once more.

The dream had abruptly ended when the tentacles dragged him into the dark underground nest.

However, X was an SSS-grade military female.

Even if they truly fought, he would be the only one pinning the tentacle monster to the ground and beating it up.

If that dream had a sequel, it would inevitably be him giving the tentacle monster a violent thrashing.

Then leaving it half alive, dragging it out of the underground nest, washing it clean, and educating it properly.

Having been inexplicably snatched from the jar, lectured, and then stuffed right back inside, Mu Si was utterly baffled.

Watching the Tianjia get up to freshen up in the bathroom after lecturing him, Mu Si had question marks all over his head.

Wait, is this Tianjia out of his mind?

How could he possibly attack an SSS-grade Tianjia?

It wasn’t like he was tired of living.

Mu Si’s only desires all along had been simply to escape and survive.

He firmly decided that this Tianjia was mentally defective.

Yet locked inside a glass jar with no way out, he could only sulk inside.

When the Tianjia returned after freshening up to feed him, Mu Si refused to pay him any attention, regarding the dropped food with pure disdain.

Seeing that the little tentacle monster wouldn’t eat, X inserted the hollow glass rod used to draw nutrient solution into the jar and gently prodded him.

Mu Si moved away from the rod, turning a blind eye to the nutrient solution inside the glass tube.

“Angry?” X inquired with a guess.

His earlier action of pulling out the little tentacle monster and kneading it seemed to have offended the creature.

Furthermore, his tone at that time was too stern, perhaps scaring the little tentacle monster.

    X engaged in some self-reflection.

Looking at the tiny lump of transparent jelly inside the jar, X’s heart melted into a soft mess.

“You are still a tiny baby, I shouldn’t have been so strict with you.”

“Do you like pretty stones? I will give you a shiny stone as an apology. Don’t be mad at me, okay?”

X gently placed a red crystal core into the jar.

X thought that since the little tentacle monster liked shiny, transparent glass jars, he would probably also like equally sparkling crystal cores or gemstones.

Mu Si could not stop his mental power from shifting toward the red crystal core.

It was the crystal core of that cosmic behemoth from that day.

    Super A-grade!

    Given to him?

Regardless of whether the Tianjia gave it sincerely, and regardless of whether he could digest a Super A-grade crystal core, Mu Si lunged forward, locked the crystal core in an embrace, and merged it into his body.

A warm and super energy-rich crystal core was his now!

Having consumed the crystal core, Mu Si spun in circles with sheer joy.

Then he discovered that the Tianjia above was still staring at him.

    What? Regretting it?

Too late, it has already been completely eaten by me, bleh!

Mu Si danced his tentacles, smugly provoking the Tianjia.

    “…”

X remained silent for a moment, yet couldn’t resist asking, “Are you alright like that?”

    Like what?

Just as Mu Si was puzzled, he suddenly caught sight of a splash of red in the reflection on the glass surface.

    It was the crystal core.

But hadn’t the crystal core already been eaten by him?

Mu Si focused his attention to look closely, releasing his psychic sense at the same time.

Immediately, he discovered that a red crystal core was encased inside his transparent body.

The color and shape of the crystal core were clearly visible.

When a tentacle monster consumed food within its capacity, it would rapidly devour and digest it, leaving no residue inside its body.

However, if it consumed food beyond its capabilities, it would remain and show within the body, just like now.

His current appearance looked like he had transformed from a plain jelly into a jelly with a fruit filling.

Mu Si hurriedly raised his tiny tentacles, covering his head to shield it.

Of course, this served no purpose at all, as transparent tentacles couldn’t block anything.

Mu Si looked warily at the Tianjia above, waving his small tentacles in warning.

    This is mine!

    Mine!

Don’t even think about slicing open his body to take the crystal core back.

The little tentacle monster’s lively demeanor brought a smile to X’s eyes.

Recalling the data he had searched earlier, tentacle monsters possessed tremendous adaptability to various substances.

Stable objects like crystal cores could still be stored within the body even if they could not be absorbed right away.

It would not cause harm to the little tentacle monster itself.

X let the little tentacle monster keep the crystal core.

The transparent tentacle monster encasing a red crystal core was simply too adorable.

X couldn’t help reaching out, stroking his head with the pad of his finger.

“Baby, you are a filled jelly.”

Mu Si enjoyed the Tianjia’s stroking for a moment.

Then he suddenly realized something was wrong.

How could he let the enemy touch his head?

He hurriedly flapped his tentacles, trying to push the Tianjia’s finger away.

    It wouldn’t budge at all.

    However…

    Mu Si’s gaze shifted upward.

The Tianjia held the bowl of nutrient solution in his left hand, and his right hand reached into the jar, restricted by the jar itself, while the half-open mouth was spacious enough for him to easily slip out…

    Time to slip away!

Climbing onto the Tianjia’s finger, Mu Si leaped straight up, ready to embrace freedom.

Just as he slipped past the jar’s opening, he was pinched once again.

An SSS-grade Tianjia’s speed was simply too fast; any physical restriction was completely useless against him.

“Why are you always running outside? Do you not like this jar?”

    X was puzzled.

The jar was very pretty, but no one liked being locked up and restricted of freedom.

Mu Si’s small tentacles braced against the Tianjia’s finger, working hard to pull his body free.

“Since you don’t like staying in the jar, then… I’ll let you semi-free range.”

As X spoke, he placed the little tentacle monster onto the table.

    Mu Si was dazed.

He looked at the Tianjia sitting still beside him, and then looked at the flat, spacious tabletop without any barriers or restrictions.

He inched along slowly, arriving at the table’s edge.

The Tianjia merely kept watching him, making no move whatsoever.

Mu Si leaped forcefully onto the bed, then quickly darted beneath the pillow, shifting positions from time to time to hide himself.

X had exceptionally sharp senses and knew the little tentacle monster’s location like the back of his hand, yet he did not intervene.

“You stay in the room. There is food on the table, eat on your own if you’re hungry.”

Saying this, X straightened his military uniform, stood up, and walked out of the room.

Mu Si originally wanted to seize the chance to sneak out right behind him.

As a result, right when he reached the doorway, the Tianjia crouched down and pinned him down with a single finger.

“No. I have business to attend to today, I cannot take you.”

X pushed him back inside the room and coaxed gently:

“Play by yourself in the room. Be good, I will come back tonight to keep you company.”

The room door closed before him.

Mu Si scratched at the door in anger.

The door wouldn’t budge from scratching, and there wasn’t the slightest gap on the sides or underneath, making it impossible to slip through.

The bathroom door was closed too.

Otherwise, he could have considered taking the ventilation ducts or sewer lines.

Mu Si returned to the bed to ponder countermeasures.

He had finally figured it out: this Tianjia was keeping him as a pet.

He was in no mortal danger for now, nor did he need to worry about turning into an experimental subject.

Since that was the case, there was no need to rush to escape.

After all… the food this Tianjia fed him truly smelled wonderful.

    There were even crystal cores.

Mu Si clutched his head, which was currently holding a red crystal core inside, and lay flat on the bed.

With a Super A-grade crystal core like this, if left to himself, he might not obtain a single one even in decades.

Yet the Tianjia had casually handed it to him just like that.

Even after discovering that he couldn’t absorb it, he still let him store it inside his body.

Mu Si didn’t resist this feeling of being fed and pampered.

Tentacle monsters naturally knew how to select the survival method most advantageous to themselves.

Even adult tentacle monsters accepted provisions supplied by controlled gestators and offspring.

Choosing a good feeder saved decades of detours.

    Mu Si made a decision.

Before the Tianjia displayed any malice, he would temporarily stay by the Tianjia’s side, relying on the food provided by the other to grow rapidly and amass strength.

In the future, if the Tianjia changed his mind and no longer wanted to raise him, he would have enough power to escape.

When that time came, he would leave the Tianjia to live independently.

Having formed a new survival plan, Mu Si relaxed completely, rolling around on the soft bed.

    ·

    Inside the warship command room.

Like any person who had just gotten a pet or a cub, the moment X stepped away from the pet or cub, he could not stop worrying.

Fearing it might get cold, fearing it might get hungry, fearing it might accidentally get hurt.

X had already imagined the little tentacle monster crawling into an electrical socket and shocking itself.

He grew increasingly restless and fidgety.

He even wanted to toss his duties aside and return to check on the little tentacle monster’s situation.

It was just that he truly could not pull himself away.

Amid his unease and anxiety, X suddenly remembered that there was surveillance in his room.

He immediately activated his terminal, connected to the in-room surveillance, and checked the situation.

The moment he entered the feed, he saw the little tentacle monster lying flat on his pillow, sleeping.

X’s suspended heart settled back down, and he watched for a little while longer.

A tiny, transparent ball nestled into the plush pillow, exceptionally cute.

    X’s gaze softened.

Across the virtual screen, he tapped on the little tentacle monster on the pillow.

He had originally thought the little tentacle monster only liked bright, transparent things.

Now it seemed the little tentacle monster had a high acceptance of soft textiles as well.

In the future, he could take the little tentacle monster to sleep together.

When going out, he could also pocket him in his clothes.

Looking at the little tentacle monster curled up asleep, X reflected in his heart that dreams were truly illogical and entirely false.

How could such an adorable little tentacle monster ever turn into that rebellious creature in the dream, one that attacked him, wrapped around his ankles, and dragged him down into a subterranean nest?
