FLME Ch99
Chapter 099: Extra Episode of “Love Reality Show” (Part 2)
Yu Wen sat on the swing, watching the scene with great interest. He had been silent for so long that Chu Han didn’t notice his presence at first.
It wasn’t until Feng Chengzhou was dragged away by the black-clad people that Chu Han turned his head and locked eyes with Yu Wen.
“……”
Yu Wen felt perfectly at ease, completely unbothered, biting the straw and waving at him, signaling him to come sit.
Chu Han, after retrieving his envelope, sat next to Yu Wen and opened it. He glanced at it briefly, frowned, and asked, “What is this? Does it matter which one I choose?”
Yu Wen briefly explained his hypothesis.
Chu Han nodded, though somewhat confused, and said, “So, I have to guess which option Feng Chengzhou will choose for the production team to release him.”
Yu Wen nodded. “That’s the idea.”
Chu Han lowered his gaze and looked at the ABCD options.
“I won’t choose.”
Yu Wen: “Why?”
Chu Han pointed at option C, “Master,” with an unpleasant expression. “He’ll definitely pick this one.”
Yu Wen suppressed a smile.
Seems like President Feng enjoys pursuing thrills.
At the same time, in another room in the villa, Feng Chengzhou was staring at the ABCD options, deep in thought, asking, “What’s the difference between the four options?”
“The chosen option might be implemented,” a staff member answered.
Feng Chengzhou took a slow, deep breath.
With a swift motion, he ticked option C.
A misunderstanding. The production team had misunderstood.
This wasn’t troublemaking; this was giving him a benefit!
The PD is such a good person.
In the next room, Xie Heyu was holding the answer card, sitting on the resting sofa and idly scrolling through his phone.
The PD, worried that he might secretly send a message to Yu Wen, had arranged for a staff member to walk behind him. After the staff member had circled around him three times, Xie Heyu spoke up, “I didn’t send any messages. I respect the rules of the show.”
As the notorious rule-breaker on variety shows, Xie Heyu’s compliance caught the production team off guard. The assistant PD, holding a headset, awkwardly said, “Oh, so Teacher Xie, have you decided? Which one are you going to choose?”
Xie Heyu smiled at the camera. “I don’t think Yu Wen will choose any time soon. It doesn’t matter what I pick. Let’s all just rest for a bit.”
Assistant PD: “…How do you know he won’t choose?”
Xie Heyu lowered his head and typed quickly on his phone. The staff member once again wandered behind him to take a look and found he was replying to work emails from his company.
The staff member’s gaze instantly turned to one of sympathy.
What a poor worker, still having to work overtime while recording a variety show. This company is no good.
“He’ll definitely wait by the door and watch the reactions of the other guests being dragged away by the black-clad people. He probably won’t remember me until everyone has arrived,” Xie Heyu calmly replied while continuing to work on his email, “Don’t worry about me, go ahead and interview the others.”
The assistant PD, still holding the intercom, asked about the situation with another group. Sure enough, the PD responded harshly, “How do you know? He’s sitting on the swing, and so is Chu Han. Looks like these two don’t want their partners.”
The reactions of each couple being “taken away” were all quite entertaining.
Feng Chengzhou suspected that someone was trying to harm him; the third couple ran around the villa twice but were caught and brought back; the fourth couple performed a dramatic “no matter how the world changes, I will return” act. Compared to them, Xie Heyu, who was calmly taken away, seemed completely normal.
Yu Wen and Chu Han were laughing together, completely forgetting about finding their partners.
It wasn’t until all the guests had arrived and everyone gathered in the living room to discuss the answer card that Yu Wen, resting his chin in one hand, remembered Xie Heyu. He repeated his earlier guess to the others and then said, “I’ve searched all the rooms here. I didn’t find anyone.”
The two other guests, a female singer named Bai Yuan and a male actor named Zhao Feiyang, didn’t care much about the nickname, but they were worried that if they guessed wrong, they wouldn’t be able to release their partner tonight. They hesitated over the answer card for a while before deciding to search again.
The villa echoed with calls of “Feng Chengzhou—” “Teacher Xie—”
“……”
Hearing his name being called, Xie Heyu slightly lifted his eyes and glanced at the assistant director in the corner.
The assistant director picked up the intercom, then put it down again, wanting to say something but unsure how to respond.
For the first time, the director was glad for his foresight. The rooms where the four guests were locked up were very hidden and hard to find. As long as they could keep the people inside quiet, it would be fine.
A staff member approached with ropes and tape, but Xie Heyu politely declined, “No need. I’ll stay quiet.”
After all, this was a dating variety show. The guests searched for a while but found nothing, so they could only return to the living room and answer the questions honestly.
Yu Wen didn’t understand and muttered under his breath, “Now we’re playing an escape room on top of everything? Still can’t find anyone…”
He took out the answer card and ticked the option for ‘Brother.’
Clearly, everyone knew their partners very well. The other two guests, although hesitant, eventually chose the correct answer, and everyone was released.
Xie Heyu was the last to come out. In a place where the camera couldn’t see, Yu Wen pinched the soft flesh on his waist and said, “Why did you really choose ‘Brother’?”
He didn’t use much force, but Xie Heyu didn’t react, letting out a soft laugh, “The PD told me to follow my heart.”
It was already late, and the production team treated the guests to a seafood dinner to welcome them. Afterward, they had the most common heart-to-heart moment in dating shows. There was no need for the production team to cue anyone; everyone naturally started talking about their romantic experiences.
Yu Wen, feeling lazy after the meal, leaned in Xie Heyu’s arms, feeling sleepy, and chatted casually.
This couple, like Chu Han and Feng Chengzhou, didn’t like to show public displays of affection. Their romantic history was still a mystery to their fans, and even the other guests knew very little. So, when they had the chance, they asked.
Bai Yuan, enthusiastically, asked, “Quick fire questions: Where did you first meet?”
Xie Heyu: “At a bus stop.”
Bai Yuan: “What was your first impression of each other?”
Yu Wen: “A kind person who gave me an umbrella.”
Bai Yuan: “When did you first feel attracted to each other?”
Both of them turned to look at each other.
Bai Yuan: “Quick fire! Don’t think too long.”
Yu Wen looked at Xie Heyu, “What about you?”
Xie Heyu raised an eyebrow, “You don’t know?”
Yu Wen smiled and turned to Bai Yuan, saying, “For him, it was the bus stop where we first met. For me… it was when he came to my house to make me ginger milk pudding.”
Xie Heyu, seemingly uninterested, ate a small pastry, though his ears subtly perked up.
Bai Yuan urged Yu Wen to elaborate.
Being on a dating show, discussing such things was inevitable. Yu Wen thought for a moment and freely shared his own experience.
For him, love wasn’t an easy emotion to notice. His upbringing had been peaceful, and due to his personality, the people he interacted with were mostly kind, so any small affection shown didn’t stand out much.
Anyway, Xie Heyu liked him, but he hadn’t noticed it at all until the moment they were caught.
However, Yu Wen could talk about why he liked Xie Heyu.
“Teacher Xie’s body, style, and aesthetic are all very to my liking. I could even say they fit perfectly with my taste. When I first met him, I was envious because his muscles were so well-defined, something I’d probably never achieve in my lifetime,” Yu Wen chuckled, “No matter how hard I try, I can never become a 190cm muscular cool guy. My physique just doesn’t match.”
In the beginning, it was mostly envy, and he thought Xie Heyu’s personality was interesting and appealing.
“That time when he made me ginger milk pudding, I was sick. It was the first time I saw Teacher Xie angry, and I thought, wow, he looks so fierce when he’s angry.”
Xie Heyu seemed to have completely forgotten his expression at that time. He paused for a moment, “…Fierce?”
“It was fine. Later, you pitifully apologized, and I thought you were so cute.” Yu Wen smiled.
Bai Yuan: “Oh—”
It was these seemingly insignificant little details that often made a relationship touching. The other guests all wore expressions as if they were overwhelmed by the sweetness, but everyone listened more intently with each word.
Yu Wen continued, “That was the first time I truly realized that Teacher Xie is a very gentle person. He’s good at taking care of others. He would be cold when he felt he had let someone down, but then apologize right after… Every time I think about it, it makes my heart flutter.”
Yu Wen’s expression became nostalgic. When he looked up, he noticed the guests’ expressions were quite meaningful.
He followed their gaze and saw that Xie Heyu was staring at him intently.
The look in his eyes was focused and fiery, creating the illusion that he might kiss him in the next moment. No wonder everyone had that expression.
He secretly poked Xie Heyu with his finger, signaling him to snap back to reality—they were still recording!
After Yu Wen finished his interview, it was Chu Han’s turn.
Bai Yuan, still asking quick-fire questions, asked, “Where did you first meet?”
Feng Chengzhou: “On the street.”
Chu Han: “In a bookstore.”
Bai Yuan: “…”
The two of them slowly turned to face each other.
Chu Han: “Wasn’t it a bookstore?”
Feng Chengzhou, looking incredulous: “I told you before, I saw you on the street, then followed you into the bookstore.”
Chu Han: “…Did you?”
Feng Chengzhou: “I’ve said it a hundred times.”
Chu Han: “Hmm…”
Yu Wen woke up from his drowsiness.
He whispered to Xie Heyu, “Uh-oh, President Feng’s carefully crafted loving couple image is about to be ruined. We need to take action if we can. Help if we can.”
Xie Heyu nodded. Both of them straightened up, and Yu Wen cleared his throat, taking over the conversation.
“Quick fire! What’s your favorite part of each other’s body? Please explain why.”
He figured, since Chu Han was such a big fan of SA, this topic would probably make him talk endlessly. If they said more, their couple vibes would definitely rise.
Feng Chengzhou perked up, thought for a moment, and said, “His waist. Chu Han has a very beautiful waistline.”
Everyone laughed for a bit, then turned to look at Chu Han.
Contrary to Yu Wen’s expectation, the big SA fan stayed silent.
Yu Wen encouraged, “If you can’t pick just one, you can say more than one, just list them as tied for first.”
Chu Han glanced at the others.
“Well, I’ll say it…” he hesitated.
Feng Chengzhou held his breath, waiting for the praise.
Chu Han parted his lips slightly and coldly uttered two words: “**”
“!”
“Cough cough cough cough—”
Yu Wen nearly fell off his chair. Bai Yuan and Zhao Feiyang were coughing violently, trying to cover up the shocking two words just said. Even Feng Chengzhou froze, hurriedly trying to cover Chu Han’s mouth, “We’re recording! What nonsense are you saying? This will affect you negatively…”
Chu Han: “…”
Is this my fault?
You asked me to say it, but now I can’t even broadcast it.
Thanks for the chapter!
