FIMA Ch5: Rescuing the Beauty
There was no time to think any further. Xie Qingxiao quickly pushed the stunned Huo Yi beside him. “Ayi, go to the security room and get the uncles to come over quickly.”
“Okay… okay.” Huo Yi snapped out of the chaos and nodded hastily.
After taking a few steps, he turned back to remind, “Qingxiao, be careful yourself. These Alphas have nothing better to do every day; they just cause trouble.”
Xie Qingxiao saw Shen Ting taking several hits and wanted to step in to help.
Among the Omega group, he was already considered to have better physical fitness, but facing these young, strong Alphas who fought regularly, he was completely powerless.
As a result, before he could even get close, he was pushed far away.
Not long ago, their school had just held an exhibition match. To welcome visiting leaders, they had placed several large pots of delicate flowers in the four corners of the indoor basketball court.
The fight had been so intense just now that someone had broken a flowerpot. Xie Qingxiao was pushed and fell directly onto the shards. His upper body avoided them in time, but his calf was cut, tiny spots of blood blossoming on the white porcelain shards like a painting.
“Shen Ting…” Xie Qingxiao called out instinctively in pain.
As always, there was no response.
Gu Siyuan frowned.
He was sitting by the window, and the commotion downstairs suddenly became loud. He naturally heard it clearly.
He stood up, one hand in his pocket, looking down at the source of the sound downstairs. It seemed to be students from their class.
Especially that thin figure who had fallen on the ground, looked very familiar, like Xie Qingxiao.
…
“Jiayang!”
Xie Qingxiao was just enduring the pain and getting up when Huang Cheng suddenly shouted.
“Jiayang… Jiayang got hit. Shen Ting, stop fighting and come here!” Huang Cheng shouted urgently.
Sure enough, Shen Ting immediately stopped, managed to break through the crowd after taking a few punches, and rushed to Lu Jiayang’s side.
Seeing Lu Jiayang holding his knee in pain, Shen Ting’s face turned extremely dark. He picked him up without a word and rushed out of the basketball court, with Huang Cheng following closely.
“Shen Ting…” Xie Qingxiao watched them leave and hurriedly called out, “Shen Ting…”
He stepped forward to follow but the wound on his calf caused unbearable pain with the movement, forcing him to pause.
“Shen Ting…”
A moment later, when he looked up again, Shen Ting and the others were already out of sight.
Xie Qingxiao stared at the quiet entrance of the basketball court, blinked, and fell silent.
Gu Siyuan stood by the second-floor window, squinting at the backs of Shen Ting and the others who were about to leave the school gate. He glanced down at the basketball court where his beautiful, expressionless deskmate stood, a smile playing at the corner of his mouth as if he had seen the most interesting scene in the world.
He threw down the book in his hand and turned to walk downstairs.
“Damn!”
Dan Kai unhappily kicked the basketball at his feet. He had intended to pick a fight with Shen Ting sincerely. It was finally the weekend, most teachers were gone, and no one else would see. The school couldn’t do anything about it.
Who knew that just as the real fight was about to start, Shen Ting ran away…
Lu Jiayang was an Alpha too. Getting hit shouldn’t be a big deal. Why did Shen Ting have to act so melodramatic, like he had lost his beloved spouse?
Realizing something, Dan Kai immediately looked at the beautiful, expressionless youth standing under the basketball hoop and laughed loudly, “Looks like our young master Shen has truly embraced the ancient saying, ‘Brothers are like limbs, partners are like clothes.’ He just left his Omega behind…”
“Hahaha, Shen Ting is good in this aspect. He has the potential to be a gangster.”
“Not bad, not bad. Shen Ting does have some redeeming qualities.”
Dan Kai’s lackeys quickly chimed in, laughing along.
Xie Qingxiao ignored them, only lowering his gaze to look at the calf and ankle cut by the porcelain shards. Blood was slowly soaking his white socks and canvas shoes.
The random splatter had a certain natural beauty.
It actually looked quite nice. He could paint with oils; maybe he could try it when he got home.
Dan Kai, coldly scrutinizing Xie Qingxiao’s silence, wasn’t planning to let him off.
He walked over with a sinister smile, “Shen Ting may have left, but today’s matter needs an explanation. Since you’re his boyfriend, you should give us a proper account, right…”
The voice was close, and Xie Qingxiao finally looked up at the approaching figure, his demeanor as cold and unworldly as ever. “So, what do you want to do, challenge me instead?”
A defiant and strong stance, entirely unlike an Omega facing a group of Alphas.
Dan Kai squinted his eyes.
He hated such looks the most, but the more someone held their head high, the more interesting and thrilling it was to break them.
Dan Kai’s snake-like gaze swept over Xie Qingxiao, laughing, “North Chuan High School’s famous unattainable flower may have been picked by Shen Ting, but he doesn’t seem to cherish it. But we’re all about cherishing beauty. Xie Qingxiao, it’s just Saturday, how about we go out for some karaoke and drinks? Make some friends?”
“We’ll definitely be more considerate than Shen Ting. Every Omega is a treasure; how could we treat them like Shen Ting does, caring only about his Alpha buddies?”
As he spoke, he reached out to put a hand on Xie Qingxiao’s shoulder.
Xie Qingxiao instinctively wanted to run, but his path was already blocked by Dan Kai’s cronies.
He had no choice but to retreat a few steps.
He had been standing under the basketball hoop, and now his back was pressed against it, leaving no way out.
Xie Qingxiao said coldly, “What are you trying to do? Forcing an Omega is illegal.”
“Just a drink, it’s not forcing, right? Shen Ting left you here to apologize to us, didn’t he?” Dan Kai laughed lightly, reaching out to put a strong arm around Xie Qingxiao’s shoulder.
Suddenly, a whistling sound cut through the air.
“Ah…!”
The next moment, Dan Kai was clutching his arm, screaming in pain.
A fully inflated basketball bounced heavily off his arm, flying dozens of meters before landing on the ground and rolling a few times.
Gu Siyuan whistled softly, inwardly praising his own accuracy as always.
That basketball had been kicked by Dan Kai when Gu Siyuan was coming downstairs, nearly hitting the stairwell window. He happened to catch it, acting out of a sense of public duty, and now it had come in handy.
Xie Qingxiao’s head snapped up, looking behind Dan Kai. His lake-like eyes seemed to sparkle with starlight.
However, as soon as he saw the person’s face clearly, the light in his eyes completely disappeared.
Gu Siyuan maintained his posture with one hand in his pocket, glancing down at Xie Qingxiao with an unchanged smile.
He looked like a pitiful little puppy abandoned by its owner…
This scene on the basketball court today was also a significant turning point in the original storyline.
It seemed that the protagonist, Shen Ting, had a conflict with students from the school’s sports class over the usage rights of the court.
As a result, both the protagonist’s love interest, Lu Jiayang, and Xie Qingxiao were injured, but Shen Ting only had eyes for his childhood friend, running off with Lu Jiayang.
Xie Qingxiao, his boyfriend, was left behind alone and became the target of Dan Kai and his gang’s anger, suffering humiliation and harm.
Of course, the story didn’t end there.
After Shen Ting rushed Lu Jiayang to the infirmary, they somehow got into an argument, stubbornly refusing to back down.
Lu Jiayang angrily said, “In that case, why do you still care about me? Go find your Omega!”
Shen Ting, feeling wronged, punched the sofa in anger and actually ran back to the school to find Xie Qingxiao.
When he returned to the alley beside the school, he found Dan Kai and his gang dragging Xie Qingxiao, forcing him to go to a KTV to drink and have fun.
Naturally, Shen Ting seized the opportunity to save the beauty from danger.
Although Xie Qingxiao’s predicament was originally caused by Shen Ting, people in despair often develop a Stockholm Syndrome-like attachment.
After this incident, not only did Xie Qingxiao not blame Shen Ting, but his love and possessiveness for him were fully awakened, making Shen Ting one of his life goals.
Gu Siyuan leisurely walked toward Xie Qingxiao and the group.
Seeing the arrogant posture of the culprit, Dan Kai ignored the pain in his arm and swung a punch at Gu Siyuan, “Where the hell did you come from, meddling in my business? Do you have a death wish?”
Gu Siyuan slightly sidestepped the punch, simultaneously reaching out to precisely grasp Dan Kai’s wrist, dragging him aside. He looked down and said softly, “If you want to talk, just talk. Why get physical? Didn’t your parents teach you to be kind to Omegas?”
“Let… let go…” Dan Kai struggled as the pain in his wrist felt like it was shattering his bones.
“Brother Kai?” Several of Dan Kai’s cronies hurried over, “Who are you? Let go of our Brother Kai!”
Gu Siyuan didn’t release his grip. With a slight twist of his waist, he used Dan Kai as a shield, causing the punches and kicks from the cronies to land on Dan Kai.
Gu Siyuan chuckled, his tone lazy and casual, “The physical education exam is in less than half a month, right? I don’t control my strength well. If this delays something important, is Dan Kai planning to repeat a year?”
