After finishing the meal, Gu Huaiyu truly took Ao Zai away. Just as he had told the teachers when he gave them time off, he would be the one looking after Ao Zai.

Shen Qing followed them out of curiosity and caught a glimpse of what was happening in Gu Huaiyu’s office: President Gu was working at his desk, while Ao Zai was playing with his toy planes and ships in his “Big Dad’s” office.

President Gu had had all the toys Ao Zai needed moved over and even ordered someone to lay down a thick, plush carpet on the floor.

The office was very large. Filled only with office equipment, it looked clean, tidy, and rather spacious. There were no small parts, so as long as the little cub wasn’t too mischievous, there was no fear of him bumping or scraping himself. Ao Zai “moving in” wasn’t a problem at all.

But the question was, did it seem necessary?

Shen Qing couldn’t help but laugh: “Just let Ao Zai go back to his playroom. I’ll watch him for a while. Duo Duo will be out of school soon; once he’s back, Ao Zai will have to study with his brother.”

Hearing the word “study,” Ao Zai waved the robot in his hand: “That’s right, Ao Zai is going to study!”

After he finished speaking, he whispered secretly to his robot: “Once you guys are done playing, Ao Zai is going to study, okay?”

Shen Qing: “…”

He truly is “President Ao.” Even at such a young age, he knows how to balance play and study.

Gu Huaiyu said, “No need. Ao Zai is very well-behaved; just let him stay here. You go do your own thing.”

Shen Qing: “…”

Ao Zai was indeed well-behaved. He could basically play with himself and even make himself laugh.

Shen Qing took a look and knew exactly what young Master Ao was playing.

Ao Zai had lined up his favorite planes, cars, and robots, then mimicked conversations between them, making the toys perform sitcoms—a bit like the pretend play Shen Qing used to engage in as a child.

Little Ao Zai didn’t like adults interfering when he was playing pretend, because he had his own script, and adults usually couldn’t keep up.

Once he entered his immersive state, Ao Zai could play on that little rug for half a day.

Wearing shorts and short sleeves, with his little bare feet, Ao Zai would occasionally squat, sit, or even lie down. His activity area was limited to that large carpet; he wouldn’t run around wildly, and he would manage to tire himself out into a sweat just by staying busy. It was quite amusing.

He was indeed very easy to look after.

But the problem was… Shen Qing looked up at President Gu behind the desk. With Ao Zai chattering away over there, could President Gu really focus on his work?

After standing and watching for a while, Shen Qing realized his worries were unfounded.

How could a “workaholic” be affected by the naive babble of a human cub!

After observing for a while and looking at both sides, he felt that the big boss could handle childcare on his own, and he was even a bit redundant here…

But he didn’t have much else to do either.

He had been playing games recently, but he was getting a bit tired of them.

Mainly, he had accidentally spent too much money and reached the peak of his gaming life; now, everywhere he went online, he was surrounded by followers, which had become exhausting after a while.

Besides, this was President Gu’s first day back home… he wanted to cherish every second he spent with him; he had to keep him company!

So Shen Qing said, “How about I keep you company?”

Li Hong, who was dedicated to handling various discharge procedures—mostly carrying office files for President Gu—walked in just then. Seeing this, Shen Qing said, “Why don’t I help you organize the files?”

President Gu, behind the desk, raised an eyebrow at these words and looked up.

After briefly examining the young man, Gu Huaiyu pointed: “Then sit here.”

The spot he pointed to was right next to him.

Shen Qing didn’t hesitate at first and pulled a chair over to sit down.

But after sitting down, he felt a little embarrassed, feeling that he was being too clingy.

He was simply too clingy!

He couldn’t help but make a self-deprecating joke: “Why don’t we knock down all the walls in the whole house? That way you, me, and the babies can eat, sleep, work, study, and play games all together.”

To his surprise, Gu Huaiyu seriously considered his suggestion.

Immediately after, President Gu’s voice sounded calmly: “No, there are still some drawbacks.”

Shen Qing, who hadn’t expected him to actually consider the possibility: “…Of course there are drawbacks. In such a big house, at the very least, you have to keep the load-bearing walls; you can’t just knock everything down.”

Gu Huaiyu: “…”

President Gu clearly paused. His sharp, indifferent phoenix eyes sized up the young man, and he said meaningfully, “It would be inconvenient in other aspects. Aspects concerning privacy.”

Shen Qing: “?”

…What privacy?

And why did it feel like President Gu’s gaze was suddenly… intense?

Moreover, his tone seemed deeper—a mix of a low voice and a raspy quality, plus the fact that they were so close, it sounded exceptionally sexy…

He couldn’t put his finger on it.

Regardless, Shen Qing immediately looked away, unable to help but rub his ears.

Beside them, Assistant Li, holding a pile of files, screamed in his heart—it looks like President Gu’s confession was a success!

My god, that’s wonderful!

After putting down the files and seeing the young master playing pretend on the little rug nearby, Li Hong suddenly felt that if this were anyone else, he would be jealous—isn’t this the dream of “a wife, kids, and a warm hearth”?

Their President Gu is truly a winner in life!!

However, the “winner in life” President Gu said that to reward him for his hard work over the past few years, even though his job duties as a special assistant would change and his workload would decrease, his salary would not.

And it would continue at the base salary of 300,000 a month set after President Gu was hospitalized.

What was there to be jealous of?

It can only be said that it was all deserved by their President Gu!!

After delivering the final stack of files, there were still some office supplies to retrieve, so Li Hong went for one last trip.

During this time, Shen Qing was using his phone to reply to messages in the group chats.

There were gaming groups, mostly people tagging him to ask the “boss” to come online and carry them. Shen Qing said he had no time: [I’m busy falling in love, not going online.]

The group: ???

Besides that, he was mostly looking at a group that Xu Yujie had added him to when he wanted to learn to paint.

There were only three people in the group: Xu Yujie, Teacher Zhang, and himself. It shouldn’t have been very lively.

But the problem was that Xu Yujie was a chatterbox, and Mr. Xu had a way of leading topics that made people want to chime in, so the group was quite active.

Xu Yujie had been worried when Shen Qing was suddenly taken away by Gu Huaiyu that morning, so he asked about his situation in the group.

Shen Qing replied that everything was fine, especially well; he was currently sitting side-by-side with the “big boss,” working together.

[Xu: So harmonious! The big boss is truly a breath of fresh air in high society! Everyone I’ve met just locks people in dark rooms at the drop of a hat! …I was even planning to ask if you needed me to call the police.]

Shen Qing: …?

Because he always referred to Gu Huaiyu as “the big boss” in front of Young Master Xu, he guessed that over time, Xu Yujie had started calling President Gu that too.

He agreed that President Gu was a “breath of fresh air.”

But what on earth was that about locking people in dark rooms and calling the police…

[Shen: @Xu… what on earth have you been through…]

[Xu: It’s a long story. But I can share my 18 styles of fancy breakups with you when I have time.]

[Shen: …Alright.]

Assistant Li, who had gone to fetch the last batch of items, returned with many things, and Shen Qing got up to help again.

He left his phone on the desk, where it was caught by President Gu’s glance. Gu Huaiyu’s eyes flashed: “18 styles of fancy breakups?”

His voice lowered again.

“Ah, that should be a joke,” Shen Qing said.

After saying that, he felt a lingering fear. Mainly, although Young Master Xu was talkative, he was sincere in his dealings and not someone who would make nonsensical jokes randomly.

…This made Shen Qing suspect that perhaps some sort of “dark room” scenario was something Young Master Xu had actually experienced…

After all, this was a flamboyant world in a book!

He felt a bit worried and didn’t notice that Xu Yujie had sent a new message: [By the way, Dai Honglin was down for a long time after you left. I told him you were a star; if he had just browsed the internet more, he could have found you sooner! He even got angry with me…]

[But I’ve already understood the situation. You had already explained it clearly to him at the time, which is why he didn’t ask for your contact information. He’s the one who kept thinking about you and regretting it later, but you didn’t do anything wrong to him! Don’t let him moral-kidnap you.]

Gu Huaiyu narrowed his eyes and stopped speaking.

After Li Hong finished organizing, he said, “President Gu, everything you need is here. I’ll be heading out now.”

Gu Huaiyu acknowledged it.

Assistant Li left, and Shen Qing clearly felt Gu Huaiyu’s aura shift, so he couldn’t help but ask, “What’s wrong?”

Then he saw his own phone… Ah, he quickly explained again: “It really was a misunderstanding with Mr. Dai. I didn’t expect him to be at the same art studio as Xu Yujie!”

Gu Huaiyu was noncommittal, only asking, “There will be a young artists’ exhibition in Huacheng in a few months. Do you want to go?”

“An exhibition?”

Shen Qing remembered that Teacher Zhang had indeed said he should go to exhibitions often to cultivate his emotions and improve his artistic appreciation and expressive ability, so he said, “Okay, shall we go together?”

Gu Huaiyu: “…Not to watch, but for you to participate.”

Shen Qing: “Me??”

“Yeah.”

Gu Huaiyu continued while organizing the desk and pulling out the files to be processed first: “There are no special requirements for the participating works. Since it’s a ‘youth’ theme, the organizers are very welcoming to newcomers, which suits you well.”

Shen Qing, who only painted for fun and never thought about exhibiting: “…But how long have I been learning? Besides, I…”

“I’ve seen your paintings; you can do it.” Gu Huaiyu tilted his head: “Besides, you’ve already been studying for over two months.”

Shen Qing: “…”

No, two months for a normal person really isn’t enough to accomplish anything, not like the way Duo Duo could master a new foreign language in two months…

He wanted to say that.

But Gu Huaiyu said firmly, “With your talent, it won’t be a problem.”

Shen Qing: “!”

President Gu thinks so highly of me?

But then again! I do have talent in this area!

Seeing the young man’s widened, bright eyes, Gu Huaiyu curled his lips and continued, “In any case, it’s just submitting one piece to register. If your painting really isn’t qualified, it won’t be selected for the exhibition, but there’s no loss.”

At this point, Shen Qing felt it made perfect sense. It was just registering; what was there to be afraid of?

“But how did you know there would be an art exhibition?” Teacher Zhang and Xu Yujie hadn’t mentioned it to him, so Shen Qing had assumed he wasn’t good enough.

He felt that if his teachers hadn’t recommended it, it meant his level wasn’t high enough.

Gu Huaiyu answered simply, “Because it’s still in the preliminary planning stage and hasn’t been made public.”

Shen Qing: “?”

Gu Huaiyu elaborated, “The organizers are hoping I will sponsor them.”

“…Then doesn’t that make you an organizer too?”

Shen Qing realized and squinted at Gu Huaiyu: “…You aren’t planning to give me special treatment, are you?”

President Gu smiled, “Do you need it?”

Shen Qing shook his head quickly.

Gu Huaiyu chuckled again, suddenly reaching out to touch his face, saying, “Hmm.”

Shen Qing: “Hmm?”

Gu Huaiyu: “It means no special treatment. Just prepare well. …Let’s build a studio at home so you don’t have to keep running out for classes every day.”

Shen Qing: “.”

He had considered finding a room at home for a studio, but painting was just an amateur hobby for him, so he wasn’t very attached to the idea of renovating a studio, and his motivation wasn’t strong.

But if he was considering an exhibition, it should be more formal… more importantly, he had a flash of inspiration—he already knew what he wanted to paint for the exhibition!

It was a piece he would want to paint even if it wasn’t selected; just thinking about it made it feel meaningful!

Shen Qing: “…Painting at home is fine, but I should still attend classes occasionally. Without a teacher’s guidance, I don’t feel secure.”

Gu Huaiyu raised an eyebrow and nodded: “That’s fine too. You can invite a teacher to teach at home. If your Teacher Zhang isn’t available, I can hire other teachers for you.”

“…”

Shen Qing’s eyes darted around, and he suddenly thought of a possibility: “You wouldn’t be trying to keep me from seeing Mr. Dai at the studio again, would you?”

Actually, after reading what Xu Yujie sent, Shen Qing also felt there was no need to explain anything further to Mr. Dai.

If the other party still felt uncomfortable, it would be better for him to avoid the studio for a while anyway.

However, even though he didn’t intend to go back to the studio, Shen Qing was still curious if that’s what President Gu meant—if he was jealous—and if going through such a big circle was actually just to keep him from seeing Mr. Dai.

…What is this sour, fermented smell of love!

But what to do, he seemed to like it quite a bit!

So Shen Qing pursued the question: “Is it?”

He leaned in, and the more he thought about it, the more he wanted to laugh. He laughed until his eyes bent into crescents, looking a bit like a little fox.

Gu Huaiyu closed his eyes when the young man got extremely close and said, “No.”

Shen Qing: “…”

Gu Huaiyu continued in an extremely steady, matter-of-fact tone: “I don’t want you to see Mr. Dai, as well as Mr. Xu.”

Shen Qing: “?”

What does this have to do with Mr. Xu? …

Shen Qing wanted to ask again, but he had no chance.

Staring closely at the young man’s face, Gu Huaiyu lowered his eyelids, and the hand caressing his cheek slid to the back of his neck, his long fingers pinching it slightly.

Shen Qing retracted his neck sensitively.

…He had discovered it ever since he was bitten; his neck was truly sensitive!

Gu Huaiyu suddenly sighed and said, “Be good, don’t tempt me.”

Shen Qing, who was still retracting his neck, widened his eyes: “Where was I not being good?”

“…”

Gu Huaiyu’s gaze remained fixed on him.

“So you admit you were tempting me?”

Shen Qing: “??? I was not!”

President Gu’s thin lips parted, the corners slightly raised with a hint of an arc: “Not denying it means affirming it.”

Shen Qing: “…”

His fingers were still supporting the back of his neck. Since summer clothes were thin, Gu Huaiyu’s cool fingertips touched his skin, making Shen Qing afraid to move at all.

Every time he moved, he couldn’t help but shiver, feel excited, and want to squirm.

Gu Huaiyu didn’t move either, just watched him while holding that pose.

Both of them simultaneously turned their heads to look at each other, maintaining eye contact.

In Shen Qing’s eyes, Gu Huaiyu’s face was still pale, but he seemed much better than he had that morning.

He didn’t know if it was because of the sunlight shining in, plating President Gu in a rim of gold, making his facial contours deeper, his features more profound, and his protruding Adam’s apple even sexier.

He looked even more handsome.

And the version of himself in the other’s eyes wasn’t bad either.

He rarely got this close to someone, and he rarely had the chance to study himself in someone else’s eyes. Shen Qing occasionally admired the big boss’s looks, then admired his own, occasionally assaulted by the scent of woodsy fragrance and the breath from the other man’s nose, feeling like he should do something…

But Gu Huaiyu didn’t move, and neither did he.

It wasn’t until Ao Zai made himself happy again over there and let out a “Wah-ka-ka” laugh that the two adults sitting over here finally came back to their senses.

“…”

Shen Qing blinked rapidly, the side of his cheek closer to Gu Huaiyu flushing with blood he couldn’t control. He had to hold his knees, sighing inwardly: Damn, is this—is this the taste of mutual love?

This Platonic romance is just too amazing!

Beside him, Gu Huaiyu lowered the hand that was supporting his neck.

The fingers of his other hand lifted high, and he didn’t know what he was thinking, but his lips continued to rise, tracing an arc.

Shen Qing spoke first: “Then, let’s do that. I’ll set up a studio at home.”

Gu Huaiyu said: “Okay, ask Li Hong and Tian Yi to help you.”

“Okay!”

Shen Qing thought for a moment and said, “By the way, if I succeed in the exhibition, will President Gu give me a reward?”

Hearing this, Gu Huaiyu turned his head to look at him again; the young man’s eyes were shining.

Knowing how easily satisfied his lover was, it was rare for him to proactively ask for a reward, so Gu Huaiyu nodded first, then asked: “What do you want?”

Shen Qing: “I want… to borrow that world-famous painting in your room. I want to invite Teacher Zhang to see it if there’s a chance.”

As an artist obsessed with oil paintings, Teacher Zhang was a fan of the painter of that world-famous piece, and his life’s wish was to see the authentic work with his own eyes.

Shen Qing had only learned about this recently. He hadn’t told Teacher Zhang that they had the original at home, after all, it was President Gu’s collection.

It seemed to be just placed in the study, but the preservation methods and equipment were all there. Shen Qing knew that world-famous painting was likely carefully curated by President Gu.

Besides, the big boss wasn’t like an ordinary nouveau riche. Shen Qing had been to the underground storage and seen his other collections, feeling that the big boss must also understand art quite well.

Placing it deliberately in the study showed that President Gu himself liked that painting quite a bit.

Such precious collections weren’t a joke. It was said that for some people who liked extreme collecting, money didn’t matter, love didn’t matter, nothing mattered. Only the collection mattered.

Shen Qing knew the weight of this, even though he felt President Gu wouldn’t be too stingy, he still thought of asking for the owner’s consent when there was a chance.

Now was the perfect time.

He brought it up directly.

Gu Huaiyu didn’t hesitate either: “You can.”

“Really?”

Shen Qing cheered, exposing a bright and charming smile: “Yay!”

Gu Huaiyu also laughed along: “You like it that much? Then that painting is yours. You can show it to whoever you want; you don’t need to ask me anymore.”

“?!”

Surprised to the point of being unable to smile, Shen Qing: “Really? …That, that’s a priceless treasure!”

He didn’t even need to take it out; just saying that he had it was enough to show off…

Gu Huaiyu looked back at him once more, his voice still calm: “It’s still not as good as you.”

Shen Qing: “?!”

…It took him a long time to realize that the big boss was actually saying sweet words to him.

!

This kind of love after a confession really is different!

Shen Qing: …Suddenly leaned over and gave the boss a “muah” on his face.

Shen Qing expressed that he couldn’t show weakness either!

However, he leaned over too suddenly, perhaps not expecting him to kiss him, so Gu Huaiyu’s thin eyelids suddenly lifted in a startle.

And the kiss was so loud that it echoed in the empty office, startling Ao Zai, who was busy playing pretend, and making him lift his big head in confusion toward his two fathers—Eh, what was that sound?

Did a firecracker go off?

Beside the desk, Gu Huaiyu slowly recovered and turned his head toward Shen Qing.

Then, he extended a long finger to point at his own lips, asking in a low voice: “Did you get the wrong place?”

Shen Qing: …Almost laughed out loud.

“Alright, alright.” While laughing, he leaned over and pressed a kiss onto the boss’s lips.

A very light “pop,” without startling the cub over there, completely stealthy, like a little fox who had stolen a bit of fish.

Gu Huaiyu stared at the young man’s smiling, bent eyes again.

Shen Qing felt that feeling of wanting to just gaze at each other and not do anything else come back.

…It’s over, it’s over, if this continues, will President Gu become a king who never attends morning court from now on? …

But that’s also pretty good.

He wishes the big boss would just be a lazy salted fish with him!

Thinking of this, Shen Qing blinked at the big boss on purpose.

Seen up close, his expression was lively and forthright, his eyes were shining, the shape of his eyes was perfect, and the act of blinking seemed like some kind of invitation.

Gu Huaiyu: “…”

He raised a hand to press against his own chest, the depth of his eyes darkening again.

After another inexplicably long period of eye contact, a notification sound suddenly came from the desk, and both of them looked at the source of the sound simultaneously—it was Shen Qing’s phone.

It was the fourth young master of the Xu family again.

[Xu: @Shen, I have something temporary come up this afternoon and can’t go pick up Mingbao. Are you still going to pick up Duo Zai?]

Shen Qing: “Oh, right.”

Shen Qing remembered that they had said yesterday that if they had time today, they would go pick up the cub together.

Since Gu Duo transferred schools, Shen Qing had maintained a frequency of picking him up two to three times a week, though occasionally he would go with Young Master Xu.

However, the days weren’t fixed; most of the time it was random. Whenever he happened to be free, Shen Qing would go; the rest of the time, Tian Yi had already arranged drivers and bodyguards, so there was no need for Shen Qing to worry.

He went to pick up the cub entirely out of paternal love, and also to secretly observe if anyone was bullying his cub at school.

From what he could see, a semester was almost over, and no one had been able to bully Duo Duo.

.

Mingde Noble Elementary School.

“Gu Duo, let’s go see the little puppies together.”

At four in the afternoon after school, Xu Weiming, carrying his little backpack, tugged at Gu Duo, his porcelain-white face looking innocent and naive.

He leaned in and whispered very quietly: “I don’t know if the puppies’ mother came back today. I’m very worried.”

Gu Duo, also carrying a backpack and wearing a formal school uniform, didn’t stop, but after thinking about it, he nodded: “Okay, but I need to tell the uncle driver who is picking me up first.”

Mingbao said: “Okay!”

After straightening his little backpack, he hurried to keep up with Gu Duo’s pace.

At this moment, a slightly chubby little boy suddenly squeezed in next to Mingbao and shouted: “What are you going to see? Xu Weiming, I heard you! I’m going too!”

Mingbao said: “You can’t.”

He didn’t know if the puppies’ mom had come back today, and Mingbao’s mom had said that if one wasn’t sure if the puppies were safe, they shouldn’t let too many people know about their existence, to prevent them from hurting the puppies.

So Mingbao shook his head vigorously, “…Not right now, maybe I can bring you later.”

The chubby boy wore a disappointed and angry expression: “Xu Weiming, you’re like this! Ever since Gu Duo came, you’ve liked him more! You two are closer!”

Mingbao looked at the chubby boy in shock, as if he couldn’t imagine him saying such a thing, and immediately waved his hand to signal: “I don’t!”

The chubby boy interrupted him, looking aggrieved: “Don’t explain, I know it all. Gu Duo is good-looking, Gu Duo is smart…”

Mingbao: “I mean, Gu Duo and I have always been good friends.”

The chubby boy: “???”

Mingbao blinked his big eyes, confused, and said: “Our relationship is indeed very good, that’s why Gu Duo was willing to transfer to our school.”

The chubby boy: “…”

The chubby boy was about to cry, while Gu Duo, listening to their conversation from the side, remained silent and just kept walking toward the school gate.

Mingbao was still following his steps subconsciously and sped up.

At this time, another child ran over to ‘comfort’ the chubby boy in a sour tone: “Yu Kangkang, aren’t you overestimating yourself? How can we compare to Master Gu Duo? You only have your dad and mom coming to pick you up, but others have an uncle driver to pick them up every day, and Master Gu Duo even has several uncle drivers at home.”

Cheng Hongyang’s family didn’t have a driver, and his mom picked him up every time.

His father was a regional manager of a large enterprise, and his assistant uncle could barely spare the time to pick him up, but he couldn’t do it like Gu Duo’s family, who often changed people and cars.

Other children in the class envied Gu Duo.

Cheng Hongyang knew some children with even wealthier families, who also had more than one driver and car. He knew it was a symbol of great wealth, and he felt jealous. Plus, Xu Weiming was best friends with Gu Duo, which made him even more jealous, so he often jumped out to make snide remarks.

However, it was clear that Gu Duo didn’t care what he said.

Gu Duo ignored him completely, as if he hadn’t heard anything.

But the chubby boy, Yu Kangkang, seemed deeply affected. He hadn’t been crying before, but now he started howling: “So, so what if he has an uncle driver! My dad and mom often come to pick me up together; that’s not bad either!”

Hearing him say that, Gu Duo finally stopped and abruptly changed direction to come in front of him.

Looking at Gu Duo’s tense face, which was expressionless, Yu Kangkang’s howling stopped in his throat.

Uhm, he was actually a bit afraid of Gu Duo.

So even though he was very angry that Xu Weiming was closer to Gu Duo, he only dared to howl at Xu Weiming and didn’t dare to provoke Gu Duo.

Now that Gu Duo came directly in front of him, Yu Kangkang was too scared to make a sound.

But Gu Duo just reached out to pat his shoulder and said in a flat tone: “That’s truly not bad.”

Yu Kangkang, who was stiff all over: “?”

“Yeah, that’s just too great!”

After patting him, Gu Duo left directly, continuing to walk toward the school gate.

When Mingbao passed by Yu Kangkang, he also patted his shoulder and said in a crisp voice: “My dad and mom have never come to pick me up together. You’re really happy, Yu Kangkang!”

“Ah?” Yu Kangkang was stunned, letting Xu Weiming pat him, feeling a bit shy: “Re, really?”

Mingbao: “Yeah!”

After finishing, Mingbao trotted his little legs to chase after Gu Duo.

Actually, Mingbao knew that Uncle Gu had been in the hospital for some time and couldn’t come with Uncle Shen to pick up Gu Duo.

Although Gu Duo hadn’t shown it, he must be very worried about his Big Dad…

That was why Gu Duo felt that children who could be picked up by their mom and dad together were happy.

Thinking this way, Mingbao, who was pampered and never exercised, and was already having trouble running, forced himself to speed up to catch Gu Duo.

Before he could catch up to Gu Duo, Mingbao was already panting.

Gu Duo: “…”

Listening to the bellows-like sound behind him, Gu Duo’s expression tightened, and he couldn’t help but stop for a moment.

When the two children stood side-by-side at the school gate, Mingbao saw the car coming to pick up Gu Duo first.

Well, although the car picking up Gu Duo always changed, after a long time, Mingbao could remember the colors, models, and license plates of those cars.

“Gu Duo, your car is over there,” Mingbao said.

Gu Duo nodded and looked up. Just as the business car door opened, Shen Qing waved at him from inside the car.

Seeing his Little Dad, Gu Duo’s tight little face finally relaxed a bit.

And when he saw the little brother poking his head out from beside his Little Dad, and the tall, highly recognizable figure partially hidden in the car, he was stunned.

Mingbao’s crisp voice sounded in his ear: “Wow, Gu Duo, your dads are here to pick you up! This time there are two!”
