RBNR Ch56: I want your permanent mark
They did it once by the kitchen island.
At first, Feng Chengyu seemed reluctant and tried to restrain himself. But Qin Bao’s gentle kisses, his touches, and his trembling hand pulling down the zipper made everything intense.
They had both been holding back, not immediately jumping on each other upon seeing each other, which was rare since their marriage.
With such high compatibility, just sensing each other’s pheromones was enough to ignite a fire.
Qin Bao wondered how they managed to hold back for so long.
The kitchen island wasn’t the best spot, just like last time. Qin Bao’s joints were red from being banged against it, his body feeling both hot and cold.
The sweet Omega pheromones filled the air, marked freshly and uniquely by his Alpha.
Like a pure white that could be stained, but only Feng Chengyu had the privilege to do so.
No one else could touch him.
Halfway up the stairs, they tangled up again, knocking over many things.
…
…
In the quiet night, the bedroom finally lit up with a warm glow.
Qin Bao lay on top of Feng Chengyu, panting for a while. When he got up, sweat dripped from his eyelashes.
He felt comfortable.
This pace and interaction were what he was used to, making him feel secure, even wanting a cigarette.
Thinking of this, Qin Bao asked, “Do you have a cigarette?”
His cigarettes had run out a few days ago, and Xiao Xu wouldn’t buy him more. He had planned to buy them himself but hadn’t found the opportunity.
As soon as he spoke, he felt Feng Chengyu’s arm tighten slightly, and then the world turned upside down as he was pressed onto the bed.
His waist almost immediately went weak. He spoke with a hoarse voice, a bit annoyed, “Feng Chengyu…”
The Omega was already sated.
His delicate nape had been bitten enough.
Feng Chengyu looked at him. “Xiao Bao.”
Then, the Alpha arched his back, his canine teeth pressing against his neck, right over the pheromone gland, as if he was about to bite through.
“Do you know that every time you do this, I feel like you’re using me?”
Qin Bao: “…”
Did he actually see through it?
Feng Chengyu bit him as if in punishment, making Qin Bao wince in pain. “Ah.”
Feng Chengyu said coldly, “Talk.”
How could it not be using him?
Since Qin Bao decided to consider marrying Feng Chengyu, it had always been about using him.
The guiltier he felt, the sweeter he spoke. Qin Bao whispered, “No, why would you think that? I just like being with you. If you don’t like it, just say so next time…”
Of course, he knew Feng Chengyu could never dislike it, otherwise, how could he act like a perpetual motion machine?
As expected, Feng Chengyu didn’t respond, just got up, put on a robe, and fetched a pack of cigarettes and a lighter, tossing them to Qin Bao.
The Alpha’s broad shoulders and narrow waist, the exposed chest muscles outside the robe, were extremely sexy.
But he kept his eyes down, looking indifferent, making Qin Bao’s guilt turn into remorse.
He didn’t light the cigarette. Instead, he tugged on Feng Chengyu’s arm.
When Feng Chengyu sat down, he straddled his lap, hugging his neck. “Haven’t we always been like this?”
Feng Chengyu: “Like what?”
Qin Bao: “Doing it whenever we feel like it.”
They had always been like this, their bodies very honest.
Feng Chengyu pinched him, his fingers sinking into the plump flesh, not saying a word.
Then, Feng Chengyu took the cigarette, lit it for himself, and exhaled the smoke slowly, suppressing his emotions.
Taking it as tacit approval, Qin Bao’s wet eyes watched him. He lifted Feng Chengyu’s hand, taking a drag from the cigarette between those slender fingers, squinting like a cat.
As the smoke swirled in his lungs, he exhaled smoothly, feeling more comfortable, and leaned in to kiss Feng Chengyu again.
Everything was just like before.
Back to before Feng Chengyu deliberately left him hanging.
Qin Bao’s lips were already a bit swollen, hot with an indescribable desire as he kissed.
Feng Chengyu remained calm, letting him kiss, the cigarette burning between his fingers, neither of them fully smoking it.
As they kissed, Qin Bao suddenly paused.
It seemed he finally made a decision at that moment. His breath halted for a moment, and when he spoke again, he was straightforward: “…Feng Chengyu, I’ve made up my mind.”
Being so close, Feng Chengyu couldn’t see his expression clearly: “What?”
Qin Bao said, “I want your permanent mark.”
Feng Chengyu’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he had already expected this.
Because Qin Bao wasn’t the type to stay stuck in a mire; he would seize every opportunity to climb out.
Feng Chengyu knew what this meant—that although he had special privileges, he was not unique.
“I asked a doctor online, and it’s not impossible to remove a permanent mark,” Qin Bao continued. “After our contract ends in five years, I can have it removed without affecting you.”
Those words stung.
However, in the three years following the permanent mark, it would greatly benefit Qin Bao. It meant he wouldn’t be affected by pheromone rejection syndrome at work, wouldn’t be troubled by those issues, and wouldn’t have to deal with heat periods.
As for what would happen after removing the mark, he wasn’t sure yet.
Maybe he’d meet someone else suitable, or maybe he’d choose to remove his gland… But as Feng Chengyu said, that was all in the future.
He didn’t want to think about it now.
He cautiously said, “I know I don’t have the right to ask this. You don’t have to agree. I’m already very grateful that you brought it up the other day. So, I want to ask you seriously, Feng Chengyu, I want your permanent mark… Does your offer still stand?”
Feng Chengyu was silent for a long time.
The cigarette had burned down completely, scorching his fingertips.
Qin Bao was still looking at him. “We’ve already done it; a permanent mark isn’t a big deal.”
After doing it so many times, what’s one more?
After a while, he asked in embarrassment and frustration, “You’re not going back on your word, are you?”
He looked like he was about to lose his temper.
Snuffing out the cigarette, Feng Chengyu finally spoke, “Alright.”
Qin Bao was stunned, his rigid back gradually relaxing, as if he lost all strength and slumped down, burying his head in the Alpha’s shoulder. “You mean it…”
“I mean it.” Feng Chengyu raised a hand to stroke the trembling back, comforting him gently. “How could I not mean it? I’m willing to give you the permanent mark.”
Being not special didn’t matter.
After all, to a predator bowing its head, the first step to capturing its prey is absolute possession.
“Xiao Bao, this was your request.”
He said softly.

The next morning, Qin Bao woke up earlier than Feng Chengyu.
When he saw Feng Chengyu coming down the stairs, his face turned bright red, as if a switch had been flipped, and he pointed at the food on the table. “I accidentally made too much today. If you’re not in a hurry, you can have breakfast before you go.”
Feng Chengyu glanced at the table, seeing fried eggs, blueberries, cherry tomatoes, and a glass of soy milk, all arranged beautifully.
It was quite an “accident.”
Feng Chengyu naturally sat at the table. “It looks very good.”
Qin Bao hurriedly took out his phone, acting very busy. “School starts today. I’m almost late, so I have to go now. Bye!”
“Okay.” Feng Chengyu seemed to be smiling. “Take your time.”
Qin Bao didn’t dare look at him and disappeared like the wind at the entrance.
Two minutes later, the roar of a motorcycle engine came from the garage, and a silver-white figure sped away down the inner road as if fleeing.
Qin Bao didn’t even know how he got to school in such a daze.
He first took care of the enrollment procedures, then went to the academic office to fill out a leave form. On the way, he checked his phone and saw a new post from Feng Chengyu on his social media.
F: [Exclusive breakfast. [Picture]]
What the heck?
He said he accidentally made too much, and now Feng Chengyu was being overly sentimental?!
To make matters worse, the post had already garnered a string of likes and comments early in the morning.
Shu Helan: [Weren’t you the one forcing him?]
Feng Chu: [Lustful][Lustful] Oh, heavens! What have I done to deserve this happiness so early in the morning!
Professor Lin: [Did Xiao Bao make this for you? 👍]
Qin Bao: “…”
Fine, Feng Chengyu, don’t expect me to cook for you next time!
When the academic office staff saw Qin Bao selecting a fifteen-day “physiological leave,” they couldn’t help but remind him, “This leave is only for married students.”
According to Imperial law, married Alphas and Omegas could enjoy fixed annual physiological leave due to the Omega’s unpredictable heat periods and need for rest, which could last up to fifteen consecutive days.
Last night, Feng Chengyu had asked him about his approximate dates, so he should also be preparing for leave today.
“I know.” Qin Bao blushed and checked the “married” box in the marital status section.
Seeing this well-known student, the staff was shocked: “???”
Qin Bao dropped the pen. “The school will keep this confidential, right?”
The staff nodded.
Qin Bao thanked them and walked out with a flushed face, leaving the staff bewildered in the office.
That day at school, Qin Bao met Jin Si and asked her, “Si Si, why didn’t you come to the studio a few days ago?”
Jin Si was with a girl she was friendly with in class. Embarrassed, she replied, “Sorry, I saw those days weren’t busy, so I went on a trip.”
The girl said, “I saw your post, Jin Si! I’m so jealous. That cruise ship looked so luxurious. Was it expensive?”
“Not really…” Jin Si’s face turned red. She glanced at Qin Bao and explained, “My sister bought the tickets and didn’t tell me in advance, so it was a sudden trip.”
Qin Bao had met Jin Si’s sister before and smiled. “A spontaneous trip is rare and definitely worth going on.”
Qin Bao wasn’t a strict boss but a serious friend.
After saying goodbye to the girl in their class, the two walked aside, and Qin Bao said to Jin Si, “Next time you plan a trip, let us know in advance. Brother Lu and Xiao Xu were worried about you.”
“Yes, Brother Lu called me.”
Jin Si said.
“I’ll definitely be more careful next time.”
As expected, Brother Lu must have given her a good scolding. He was always strict about work, even if Jin Si was just a part-timer and couldn’t just disappear without notice.
Qin Bao didn’t interfere with Brother Lu’s management but remembered something and asked Jin Si, “Why didn’t I see your post?”
Jin Si was extremely embarrassed, her face turning red. “Well, I intended to block colleagues at the time, so I didn’t pay attention to the group settings…”
“I get it, blocking the boss and colleagues is what makes it a real vacation,” Qin Bao laughed, but he was more concerned about something else. “What cruise line did you take? How was the overall experience? Was it private enough?”
Jin Si then opened her phone and showed Qin Bao a photo.
Blue skies, white clouds, and a turquoise sea. Jin Si was smiling at a cruise party in a bikini. Qin Bao only glanced at the facilities and environment, asking a few questions.
Jin Si seemed very nervous, but Qin Bao’s good upbringing kept him from swiping through someone else’s photo album, and he quickly handed the phone back to Jin Si.
“I don’t know which company this trip was with; I’ll have to ask my sister,” Jin Si said. “Are you planning a trip, Qin Bao?”
With his hands in his pockets, Qin Bao casually said, “Planning to go for a few days next month… but haven’t decided yet, might not choose a cruise.”
How could he tell anyone that he was planning the location for his heat period? It needed to be special, romantic, and extremely private.
This was something he wouldn’t even tell Ms. Rong.
In fact, he didn’t even know how to tell Feng Chengyu.
On the surface, he just wanted Feng Chengyu’s permanent mark, but he was secretly planning everything meticulously, which seemed overly serious.
Qin Bao didn’t want Feng Chengyu to think he was taking it too seriously, nor did he want this to appear too grand, but he couldn’t lie to himself. It was different for him.
Because this was his first real heat period, during which he would receive the permanent mark. Although brief, it was more important to him than a honeymoon.
Jin Si said, “You’re also joining the team in April, so it’s a good time for a proper rest. Are you going with An Qingyan and the others?”
Last time, for their wedding anniversary, Qin Bao and Feng Chengyu went to a cottage prepared by Jacob, and he told everyone the same story.
Except for Brother Lu, everyone thought he was traveling with An Qingyan.
“No,” Qin Bao denied.
However, he suddenly wanted to say it out loud here.
“I’m going with someone I like.”
“Qin Bao!” Jin Si was surprised and covered her mouth, looking around.
They were walking on the main road of the school, surrounded by students. Qin Bao stood out, and people were glancing at him from time to time.
Jin Si would never know, and no one else would either. They would only think he had a “boyfriend,” and in five years, all this would remain an undiscovered secret.
Qin Bao said, “This is my first couple’s trip with him.”
