FIMA Ch5: Rescuing the Beauty

With no time to think further, Xie Qingxiao hurriedly pushed the dumbfounded Huo Yi beside him: “A-Yi, quickly go to the security room and call the uncles over.”

“Right… right.” Huo Yi snapped out of his daze amidst the chaos and nodded quickly.

After running a few steps, he turned back to warn, “Qingxiao, be careful yourself. These Alphas have nothing better to do all day than stir up trouble.”

Seeing Shen Ting take a few hits, Xie Qingxiao wanted to step forward to help.

He already had relatively good physical fitness among Omegas, but facing this group of young, robust Alphas who fought year-round, he was completely powerless.

The result right now was that before he even got close, he was shoved far away.

Their school had just hosted an exhibition match recently, and to welcome the visiting officials, several large pots of exquisite flowers had been placed in the four corners of the indoor basketball court.

The fight just now had been too intense, and someone had smashed a flower pot. Pushed away, Xie Qingxiao fell directly onto the shards. He managed to dodge with his upper body in time and was unhurt, but his calf was directly sliced open. Tiny stars of blood bloomed on the snow-white porcelain shards, looking as if they had been painted on.

“Shen Ting…” Xie Qingxiao was in immense pain and called out subconsciously.

As always, there was no response.

Gu Siyuan frowned.

He was already sitting by the window. When the commotion downstairs suddenly grew louder, he naturally heard it clearly.

He stood up, put one hand in his pocket, and looked down towards the source of the noise. It seemed to be students from their class.

In particular, that slender figure fallen on the ground looked very familiar—it seemed to be Xie Qingxiao.

“Jiayang!”

Just as Xie Qingxiao was enduring the pain and climbing up from the ground, Huang Cheng suddenly screamed.

“Jiayang… Jiayang got hit! Shen Ting, stop fucking focusing on fighting and come look quickly!” Huang Cheng shouted urgently.

Sure enough, Shen Ting immediately stopped fighting. After taking a few painful blows, he successfully pushed through the crowd and reached Lu Jiayang’s side.

Seeing Lu Jiayang painfully clutching his knee, Shen Ting’s face darkened extremely. He scooped him up into his arms and charged out of the basketball court without a word. Huang Cheng immediately ran after them.

“Shen Ting…” Seeing them leave, Xie Qingxiao hurriedly cried out, “Shen Ting…”

He took a step, wanting to follow, but the movement sent an unbearable spike of pain from the wound on his calf, forcing him to pause and delay for a moment.

“Shen Ting…”

A moment later, when he looked up again, he found that Shen Ting and the others were completely out of sight.

Xie Qingxiao looked at the quiet entrance of the basketball court, blinked, and fell into total silence.

Gu Siyuan stood by the second-floor window, narrowing his eyes at the backs of Shen Ting and the others who were just about to exit the school gates. Then, he looked down at his beautiful desk-mate with a numb expression on the basketball court, and a hint of a smile involuntarily curled his lips, as if he had just seen the most amusing scene in the world.

He tossed the book in his hand aside, turned around, and headed downstairs.

“Fuck!”

Shan Kai kicked the basketball near his feet in displeasure. He had genuinely wanted to pick a fight with Shen Ting today. It was finally the holidays, most of the teachers had left, and no one else would see them; the school wouldn’t be able to do anything to him.

Who knew that before they even really got to fight for long, that bastard Shen Ting would run away…

Lu Jiayang is a fucking Alpha, so what if he takes a hit? It’s just Shen Ting acting overly dramatic, acting like his actual wife died.

Thinking of this, Shan Kai suddenly realized something. He immediately swept his gaze to the beautiful teenager standing expressionlessly under the basketball hoop and let out a loud laugh, “Looks like our Young Master Shen implements the words of the ancients very well. Bros are like arms and legs, partners are like clothes. He just ditched his own Omega right here…”

“Hahaha, Shen Ting’s not bad in this regard. He really has the potential to mingle in our circles.”
“Not bad, not bad. That kid Shen Ting actually has some redeeming qualities.”

Shan Kai’s lackeys also quickly echoed with laughter.

Xie Qingxiao ignored them, only lowering his eyes to look at his calf and ankle, which had been cut by the porcelain shards. Blood was slowly seeping into his white socks and canvas shoes.

The random splatters possessed a slight natural beauty.

It actually looked quite nice. He knew a bit of oil painting himself; maybe he could try recreating it when he got back.

Shan Kai coldly appraised Xie Qingxiao’s silence but had no intention of letting him go.

He approached with a sinister smile, “Although Shen Ting left, we need an explanation for what happened today. Since you are his boyfriend, you have to give us a proper answer for this…”

The voice was just above his head. Xie Qingxiao finally raised his eyes to look at the newcomer, his demeanor as cold and unworldly as ever: “So, what do you want to do? Switch to dueling with me?”

His stubborn and forceful posture was completely unlike an Omega facing a group of Alphas.

Shan Kai narrowed his eyes.

He hated this kind of look the most. However, the more someone held their neck higher than everyone else, the more interesting and thrilling it was to break them.

Shan Kai’s snake-like gaze swept up and down Xie Qingxiao’s body. He smiled and said, “Although Beichuan High School’s famous Untouchable Flower has been plucked by Shen Ting, it seems he doesn’t cherish it much. However, my bros and I are people who know how to treat a beauty tenderly. Xie Qingxiao, it just so happens to be Saturday today. How about we all go out to sing some karaoke and have a few drinks? Let’s make friends.”

“We will definitely know how to dote on you better than Shen Ting. Every Omega is a treasure. How could we be like Shen Ting, whose heart is entirely focused on his Alpha bros?”

Saying this, he reached out to drape his arm over Xie Qingxiao’s shoulder.

Xie Qingxiao subconsciously tried to run away, but at some unknown point, the space in front of him had already been surrounded by Shan Kai’s group of bad influences.

He had no choice but to retreat several steps.

But he was already standing under the basketball hoop. Retreating further now meant his back was pressed directly against the hoop’s support pole, leaving no way out.

Xie Qingxiao said with a cold voice, “What do you want to do? Forcing an Omega is illegal.”

“Just having a drink isn’t considered forcing, is it? Look, didn’t Shen Ting leave you behind precisely to apologize and make amends to us?” Shan Kai chuckled softly, his strong arm about to rest on Xie Qingxiao’s shoulder.

Suddenly, a sound of wind being sliced pierced through the air.

“Ah…!”

The next moment, Shan Kai clutched his arm, screaming loudly in pain.

A fully inflated basketball bounced heavily off his arm and flew dozens of meters away before landing on the ground and rolling for a few turns.

Gu Siyuan whistled softly, silently praising that his aim was as good as ever.

That basketball was the one Shan Kai had kicked away just as Gu Siyuan came downstairs. It was about to smash into the window on the staircase, so Gu Siyuan happened to intercept it. Upholding a sense of protecting public property, he naturally raised his foot to hook and stop it. And now, didn’t it just play a massive role?

Xie Qingxiao jerked his head up with a whoosh, looking past Shan Kai. His lake-like eyes seemed to brim with sparkling starlight.

However, the instant he clearly saw the face of the newcomer, all that light completely dissipated.

Maintaining his posture with one hand in his pocket, Gu Siyuan cast a condescending glance at Xie Qingxiao, the unchanging smile still hooked on his lips.

Really looks like a pitiful little puppy abandoned by its owner…

This scene on the basketball court today was also a relatively pivotal plot point in the original worldline.

It seemed that the protagonist top, Shen Ting, had gotten into a conflict with the students from the school’s sports class over the usage rights to the court.

Ultimately, innocent bystanders were caught in the crossfire, and both the protagonist bottom, Lu Jiayang, and Xie Qingxiao were injured because of it. But Shen Ting only had eyes for his childhood friend, picking Lu Jiayang up and running away.

Xie Qingxiao, as his boyfriend, was left all alone, eventually becoming the target of Shan Kai and the others’ anger, suffering humiliation and harm.

Of course, the story didn’t end there.

After Shen Ting carried Lu Jiayang and rushed to the infirmary, the two got into another argument over something unknown, eventually clashing head-on and refusing to yield to each other.

In anger, Lu Jiayang snapped, “If that’s the case, why are you even bothering with me? Go find your Omega!”

Shen Ting was in a fit of rage at the time. Feeling his good intentions had been betrayed, and hearing these heart-piercing words, he smashed his fist into the sofa, and eventually actually ran back to the school to find Xie Qingxiao.

When he walked back to the alleyway next to the school, he happened to run into Shan Kai and the others dragging Xie Qingxiao, forcing him to go to KTV to drink and have fun with them.

Shen Ting naturally took the opportunity to save the beauty in distress.

Although Xie Qingxiao encountering this unexpected incident was caused by Shen Ting in the first place, people in despair always tend to develop a sort of Stockholm Syndrome.

After this incident, not only did Xie Qingxiao not blame Shen Ting in the slightest, his love and possessiveness towards Shen Ting completely awakened, making Shen Ting one of his life’s goals.

Gu Siyuan took leisurely steps, walking slowly towards Xie Qingxiao and that group of people.

Seeing the culprit acting so arrogantly, Shan Kai didn’t care about the pain in his arm and charged at Gu Siyuan with a punch: “Where did you pop out from? Do you have the fucking life to spare to meddle in other people’s business?”

Gu Siyuan slightly turned his body to dodge the punch. At the same time, he reached out, precisely pinching Shan Kai’s wrist, and dragged him to the side. Lowering his eyes, he said calmly, “If you want to talk, then talk properly. What are you getting physical for? Didn’t your parents teach you to care for Omegas?”

“Let… let go…” An agonizing pain like shattered bones transmitted from his wrist, making Shan Kai struggle uncontrollably.

“Brother Kai?” Seeing this, the few bad influences hurriedly crowded around. “Who the hell are you kid? Hurry up and let go of our Brother Kai!”

Gu Siyuan didn’t loosen his grip. With a slight twist of his waist, he used Shan Kai as a sandbag to block in front of him. All the punches and kicks from that group landed on Shan Kai.

Gu Siyuan let out a laugh, his tone lazy and casual: “The unified sports exam starts in just half a month, right? I don’t know my own strength. If this delays something important, student Shan Kai isn’t planning on repeating a year, is he?”
