FIMA Ch135: The Little Couple [Arc 8]

In the deep winter, the weather was cold and the wind was chilly.

In the campus of N University, students who had just come out of the classroom almost all tightened their collars and shrank their backs.

In a dark alley a street away from the school, a group of people were blocking a young man in the middle.

“You really don’t appreciate the kindness you’re given, do you? Feeling itchy? If you’re feeling itchy, I’ll take care of you!”

Gu Siyuan had just regained some consciousness when he heard a very angry shout vaguely entering his ears.

He wiped his face, his vision gradually clearing.

In front of him stood several young men with unfriendly expressions, and the leader, with a flushed face and fiery eyes, was cursing at him, spitting vulgar words like a boiling kettle.

“You piece of crap, hehe, if I don’t kill you today…”

“Shut up!”

Gu Siyuan rubbed his aching temples.

He had just arrived in this world, and his head was filled with a tangled mess of information, making it feel like it was about to explode.

However, his casual attitude at this moment only added fuel to the fire, greatly angering the group of young delinquents in front of him.

“Fine, you’re good…” The leader’s half-spoken vulgar words were cut off, and he glared at Gu Siyuan viciously, waving his hand back and said, “Get him!”

The lackeys behind him, who had been itching for a fight, immediately swarmed forward.

“Bang… smack! Bang… smack…”

In the secluded alley, the sounds of continuous thuds echoed.

About two minutes later.

Gu Siyuan walked out of the alley expressionlessly.

Huh, those punks actually tried to mess with him…

He patted the dust off his black down jacket, glanced around at the intersection, and headed towards the west gate of N University according to the route in his memory.

Tao Xiangwen carried brunch in one hand and pushed open the door of dorm room 406.

Facing a figure emerging from the bathroom, tall and upright, with wet hair slicked back, revealing deep, cold brows and eyes.

He was stunned for a moment: “Gu Siyuan?”

“Yes.” Gu Siyuan nodded.

While wiping his hair, he walked over to the chair and sat down.

Tao Xiangwen stared at him for a few moments before slowly sitting down at his own desk and putting down the brunch he had just bought.

This Gu Siyuan was clearly the same person, but today he seemed more upright and dignified.

Could it be he was stimulated by yesterday’s events?

Gu Siyuan ignored his gaze.

After quickly drying his hair, he endured his headache and changed the bed sheets and quilt covers before climbing onto the bed to lie down.

Tao Xiangwen quickly finished his meal and, seeing this scene, frowned: “Siyuan, are you going to sleep…”

He was about to play games, and he needed to use voice chat.

Gu Siyuan, recalling from the original’s memory this classmate’s hobby, said indifferently: “You play your game, I’ll sleep.”

Tao Xiangwen immediately smiled happily: “Alright, Siyuan, next time I’ll take you through a dungeon!”

Gu Siyuan casually replied.

Tao Xiangwen immediately opened the game “The Great Wilderness,” and beautiful music played.

This is a large-scale online game based on classical mythology combined with modern technological aesthetics, and it can be said to be one of the hottest games nowadays…

Especially since its developer was once an honorary alumnus of N University.

Therefore, it was even more popular within N University.

In the sound of keyboard tapping and Tao Xiangwen’s chatting.

Three hours passed quickly.

Seeing the time at the bottom right corner of his computer, Tao Xiangwen hurriedly excused himself to his game teammates, hastily grabbed a textbook from the bookshelf, and rushed out.

Before running out of the dorm, he paused.

Then he turned back to Gu Siyuan’s bedside, patted it hard, and shouted: “Siyuan, Siyuan, it’s Lao Wu’s class this afternoon. If you get called out and miss it, the final exam will be a disaster.”

Gu Siyuan immediately opened his eyes.

Lao Wu was the original host’s professional course teacher, very strict, and missing roll call twice would surely lead to failing the course, missing once would also lose a lot of usual points.

He quickly threw off the quilt, grabbed the railing, and jumped down from the upper bunk in one swift motion.

He pulled on the black down jacket and jeans beside him, quickly found the professional book on the table according to memory, and it took him less than ten seconds in total.

Then he said to the stunned Tao Xiangwen: “Let’s go.”

“Ah, okay…”

Tao Xiangwen quickly responded, following Gu Siyuan out in a daze.

…Since when did Gu Siyuan become so impressive?

They left late, and despite rushing, they arrived at the classroom almost right as the bell rang.

And clearly, they weren’t the only ones in this situation.

As a result, a traffic jam naturally occurred at the narrow classroom door.

Gu Siyuan’s gaze focused, and he quickly grabbed the slim figure that had bumped into his arms, moving them towards the right side to avoid the rebound force from hitting the slightly cracked glass door behind.

Xie Fengqing raised his head, and upon seeing the face of the person in front of him, immediately frowned in disgust. Despite his temporary instability, he pushed hard to break free.

Unexpectedly, the strength of this person was surprisingly great, and he couldn’t break free for a moment.

Xie Fengqing became even angrier, and in a low voice, commanded: “Let go.”

The classmates in the classroom were already stunned.

Gu Siyuan, that audacious guy, dared to press Xie Fengqing against the wall in broad daylight…

What was he doing? Was he trying to ask for reconciliation?

Didn’t they just break up yesterday?

Wasn’t this way too intense?

“Ahem…”

At this moment, a heavy cough sounded.

Lao Wu stood outside the door with a textbook, glaring at these two students.

Gu Siyuan glanced at the person squeezed between him and the wall and released his hands.

At the same time, a familiar cold mechanical voice sounded.

“Host, hello, this is your mission target in this world—Xie Fengqing.”

Xie Fengqing had never been so embarrassed in his life.

Last night, this guy openly cheated in public.

Today in class, this guy still dared to treat him like this…

He pushed Gu Siyuan away with force and walked quickly to his seat with an ugly expression.

Few people dared to skip Lao Wu’s class, and now apart from the first row, the other places were almost full.

Gu Siyuan glanced around casually, then walked to the left window seat in the first row.

After sitting down, he clearly felt various probing gazes from all directions.

Among them, one gaze was particularly intense.

It was from his classmate Xie Fengqing, sitting right behind him, with emotions of extreme loathing.

Tao Xiangwen, sitting next to him, couldn’t help but sneak glances at him.

Gu Siyuan was truly bold, daring to get close to Xie Fengqing again?

Before leaving the KTV yesterday, he heard Qiu Yu tell Xie Fengqing that he would find someone to beat up Gu Siyuan…

Gu Siyuan coldly said: “Turn your head, class is starting.”

“Oh…” Tao Xiangwen was startled.

During the few hours of rest in the dormitory earlier, Gu Siyuan had already received all the information about this world, so he understood why Xie Fengqing hated him so much.

This was a Mary Sue male protagonist story where same-sex marriage was legal.

The main character, Shou, named Ying Ning, came from a wealthy family, loved playing online games, and had a same-sex boyfriend who was a childhood sweetheart and of equal social status. They had originally planned to register their marriage right after graduation.

However, in their third year, Ying Ning’s family company encountered financial difficulties and was on the verge of bankruptcy.

Seeing this, the boyfriend’s family immediately changed their attitude, and the boyfriend also got engaged to someone else.

In a fit of anger, Ying Ning agreed to his father’s request to marry the protagonist Gong Zhuo Yaoxuan in exchange for the Zhuo family’s financial help.

Zhuo Yaoxuan was the second son of the Zhuo family, the wealthiest in the city, six years older than Ying Ning. Due to past childhood events, he had silently liked Ying Ning for many years. He actively sought this marriage alliance.

However, in Ying Ning’s heart, the agreement to marry was a moment of impulse. After calming down, he somewhat regretted it. Especially since Zhuo Yaoxuan had a bad reputation in the city, rumored to have psychological issues and being violent and ruthless.

Ying Ning played a little trick and arranged a prenuptial negotiation with Zhuo Yaoxuan before the official registration. He proposed that for the sake of both parties, the marriage should be limited to a year and a half, until he graduated from university. If by then they hadn’t fallen in love and found each other unsuitable, they would divorce. During this period, they shouldn’t have any intimate relations or disclose their marriage to avoid affecting their future lives.

Ying Ning thought it would take some convincing, but to his surprise, Zhuo Yaoxuan readily agreed. He even signed a divorce agreement in advance to put Ying Ning’s mind at ease.

Overjoyed, Ying Ning registered the marriage and moved into Zhuo Yaoxuan’s villa, starting their cohabitation life. He continued his daily routine of studying and playing games, with Zhuo Yaoxuan doting on him and not nagging like his parents.

During one rainy day, Ying Ning accidentally met Xie Fengqing, who lived in the neighboring villa. A few days later, Ying Ning attended an offline event for an online game and met Xie Fengqing again.

Living close by, being schoolmates, and playing the same game, they naturally started talking. Xie Fengqing, knowing Zhuo Yaoxuan, inquired about Ying Ning’s identity. Ying Ning hid his marital status, claiming to be a distant cousin of Zhuo Yaoxuan, temporarily staying at the villa until graduation.

After the event, it rained again, so Ying Ning accepted a ride home from Xie Fengqing. From then on, they often played games together and attended events.

Xie Fengqing, having recently broken up with a cheating, money-loving ex-boyfriend, naturally developed feelings for the simple-minded Ying Ning and pursued him. Ying Ning, though fond of Xie Fengqing, couldn’t accept his advances, saying they should discuss it after graduation. When Xie Fengqing pressed for a reason, Ying Ning implied he had his reasons but couldn’t disclose them.

Thus, Xie Fengqing continued to accompany him in playing games, waiting for his graduation.

During this time, due to various incidents, Ying Ning and Zhuo Yaoxuan’s relationship developed rapidly. Zhuo Yaoxuan, a mature and gentle man, helped Ying Ning in many ways, making him less resistant to the marriage.

One day, Zhuo Yaoxuan inadvertently saw Ying Ning’s game account chat logs and learned about Xie Fengqing’s feelings. Being a domineering president by nature, Zhuo Yaoxuan, though gentle with Ying Ning, was ruthless to others. He immediately warned Xie Fengqing and pressured Xie’s family business, disrupting several of their projects.

Xie Fengqing, feeling betrayed again and under family pressure, was forced to study abroad. After his departure, Ying Ning and Zhuo Yaoxuan didn’t immediately get together. They went through many trials, almost divorcing, with two other admirable men falling for Ying Ning, leading to numerous conflicts.

A year later, Xie Fengqing returned, just as Ying Ning was kidnapped by a fiancée of one of his pursuers. To save him, Xie Fengqing took a knife and died.

The story ended with Zhuo Yaoxuan and Ying Ning happily living together, naming their adopted child Yi Feng in gratitude for Xie Fengqing’s sacrifice.

Gu Siyuan made no comment on the story’s plot.

But he sneered at his current identity.

The reason was simple: the original body was Xie Fengqing’s cheating, money-loving ex-boyfriend. It was his actions that led Xie Fengqing to prefer someone like Ying Ning.

Now, the one bearing the reputation of a scumbag was himself.

Tsk…

Lao Wu stood on the podium, spitting as he talked.

However, few students were paying attention, each lost in their own thoughts.

Seeing that final exams were approaching and everyone was still in such a state, Lao Wu was very displeased and decided to call someone to the blackboard to solve a problem.

He adjusted his reading glasses, scanned the room, and pointed at a spot: “You two, daydreaming there, come to the front and solve this problem.”

Hearing this, a ripple of secretive laughter and glances spread through the classroom.

Even many who were drowsily napping were now fully awake, eager to watch the scene unfold.

Xie Fengqing’s face turned extremely ugly, wishing he could tear Gu Siyuan apart on the spot.

Lao Wu urged again: “Can’t solve it? If you can’t, how dare you daydream? Both of you, stand up and pay attention.”

Gu Siyuan stood up.

Xie Fengqing also stood up.

But the next moment, Xie Fengqing watched in disbelief as Gu Siyuan left his seat, walked to the podium, picked up a piece of chalk, and started writing on the blackboard.

“…” Xie Fengqing.

How could it be like this?

It felt like he was the only one hurt in this world.

A moment later.

Lao Wu stood aside, looking at the clear process and accurate result, and nodded, “Not bad, well done. But next time, you should still pay attention in class.”

Gu Siyuan nodded and was about to throw the chalk back into the box. When he looked up, he saw Xie Fengqing’s angry face.

He thought about it and, feeling somewhat responsible, casually said to Lao Wu, “I know another method. Can I help him with the problem too?”

“…” Lao Wu.

Lao Wu rolled his eyes and sneered, “Are you going to take the exam for him too? This is studying, not your household affairs where one can do the other’s work. Now, get off the stage.”

As soon as he said this, the classroom burst into laughter.

Many students were laughing so hard they couldn’t catch their breath, leaning on their desks.

“…”

Xie Fengqing vowed that if he didn’t get Gu Siyuan killed someday, he would take his surname.

  1. Oh shit, this world turned on the brutal mode, starting off as the cheating boyfriend, Gu Siyuan has A LOT of work to do, A LOT.
Normally I wouldn’t say: NEVER FORGIVE A CHEATER, but technically the one to cheat wasn’t Gu Siyuan…
