Chapter 93: Good Boy

The crowd outside had long since dispersed, and the ice emitted wisps of coolness. Shi Shu was being kissed by him; his previous resistance had vanished, his pale, smooth chin held gently in a hand.

The lips pressing down were warm, accompanied by a subtle scent of sandalwood lingering on his body. Shi Shu was first cupped by the face and given a light peck, and then, the kiss breached his lips and teeth.

Shi Shu clutched the corner of the quilt tightly. Everything happened naturally. He let Xie Wuchi lick the flesh of his tongue, his eyelashes fanning out. He let out a soft “Mm”—neither resisting nor blindly conforming, fully aware of what was taking place.

Lips and teeth intertwined, making the wet sound of skin meeting skin as their tongues tangled.

Shi Shu was physically uncomfortable, so Xie Wuchi supported his chin and raised the pillow higher. The most intimate kiss threatened to lose control, yet out of care for Shi Shu’s body, it transformed into a restrained, lingering desire, stretching the tender tension as long as possible.

Shi Shu closed his eyes, the tips of his ears flushing a deep crimson. Xie Wuchi’s breath encroached near his ear. They kissed for a while before pulling apart, their eyes locking.

In that moment of gaze, a silver thread clung to Shi Shu’s reddened lips. The moment he glanced at him, his eyes darted away, a massive wave of heart-pounding sensation surging within his chest. Just as Shi Shu turned his head, his chin was stroked again, and a kiss pressed down once more.

“Mmh…” Shi Shu was licking him back too.

Xie Wuchi’s knuckles threaded into Shi Shu’s hair and tightened. Looking up, he saw Shi Shu’s delicate, fair face, still brimming with youthful demeanor. Shi Shu kissed him until he was out of breath and his brain felt dizzy.

Xie Wuchi’s voice was hoarse. “Do you like kissing me?”

Shi Shu’s heart fluttered. Knowing what he was asking, he kept his mouth shut. But time flowed gently in the air, and Xie Wuchi waited for the answer. Moments later, Shi Shu gave a small, somewhat hurried nod: “L-like it.”

A single phrase felt like a crashing wave pounding against the shore. Xie Wuchi kissed him again. The calluses on his fingers were both hot and rough. Being touched like this made Shi Shu feel as if he had lost a part of his male pride, making it hard to accept. Yet, Xie Wuchi’s palm was warm, shielding him from the wind.

Their tongues tangled, sucking and licking inside his mouth. Shi Shu allowed Xie Wuchi to control the scale of their passion, lingering against his lips. Suddenly, Xie Wuchi’s voice sounded near his ear: “Shi Shu, when did you start training in sports?”

Shi Shu: “Around four or five years old.”

Xie Wuchi kissed his eyelid. “Did your parents make you act like a little man since you were small? Never complaining when it hurt, never saying a word when you were tired?”

Shi Shu looked puzzled, but opened his eyes and recalled for a moment. All in all, his parents loved him very much at home, though running around with his old man as a kid was indeed tiring. He remembered not wanting to get out of bed, not wanting to run, and not wanting to be under the sun, while his dad always told him to be brave and strong like a little man. Occasionally, he was even educated with ideas like “men don’t use umbrellas,” and Shi Shu had indeed managed never to cry out in pain or fatigue.

Shi Shu looked at him with his brown eyes. “What about it?”

“You tend to avoid your emotions. Maybe your home environment was too strict.”

“…” Shi Shu had all his strength kissed out of him, lying flat without speaking. The scent of Xie Wuchi lingered at his nose—the scent of clean laundry dried in the sun, healthy and pleasant. It made his chest feel a little itchy.

Shi Shu had nothing to say. While he was contemplating those two sentences, Xie Wuchi had food brought in from outside and set it up on the small dining table. They were all easily digestible, high-nutrition dishes: cordyceps pigeon soup, mushroom and luffa soup, alongside a few other dishes. Shi Shu instinctively tried to struggle up to eat, until he knitted his brows in pain.

Xie Wuchi: “Avoidance.”

“…………”

Shi Shu flopped back down. Xie Wuchi returned to his side, and his scent returned with him. Shi Shu lowered his head, his whole body relaxing slightly.

“What ‘avoidance’? Just a bunch of nonsensical psychological suggestions! I just don’t like being waited on, and it’s too much trouble for you,” Shi Shu said.

Xie Wuchi fed him soup, tasting it first to check if it was too hot.

Shi Shu stared at him blowing on each spoon, his ears turning red. A moment later, he said, “You’re like a dad taking care of his son. I really can’t imagine you ever being a dad.”

Xie Wuchi: “I don’t like children. I try my best to guard against premarital sex, lest someone puncture a hole in the condom and deliberately try to get pregnant.”

Shi Shu drank the soup fed to him and let out a gulping sound. “Huh?”

Xie Wuchi spoke as if telling someone else’s story: “After I turned eighteen, my family tried to arrange for me to have the next generation early. The two of them had premarital sex and signed an agreement before marriage to have only me. But they always wanted a large family with many blessings, hoping I would leave behind more offspring to prosper the family line. Ever since I became an adult, they often sent chosen women directly to my room, so every time I went home, I’d meet one of them. There were many. They didn’t care who she was or how many there were, as long as she got pregnant. The condoms sent over had pinholes poked in them.”

A ripple rose in Shi Shu’s heart. “Ah? Is that something human beings do?”

“I don’t like children, but if you were my child, I would be a good father.”

Shi Shu blushed, acting tsundere: “What are you trying to pull now?”

“Open up.” Xie Wuchi picked up the porridge and fed a spoonful into Shi Shu’s mouth.

Shi Shu: “Heaven-sent living dad.”

The savory flavor dissolved in his mouth. Shi Shu blinked, unable to brush off Xie Wuchi’s words: “They were way too terrible to you.”

Xie Wuchi: “Yeah, they probably wanted to treat me like some stud horse or breeding pig.”

Shi Shu didn’t know what to say. He grabbed Xie Wuchi’s sleeve with one hand and obediently opened his mouth to let Xie Wuchi feed him, while thinking of Xie Wuchi back when he wore Buddhist robes at Xiangnan Temple. This room looked quite similar to the one at Xiangnan Temple, and he was taking care of him with the same meticulous, gentle attention as when they first met.

Shi Shu looked at him. Even with the freshly cooked soup, Xie Wuchi blew it cool and tasted it before saying, “Here.”

Shi Shu wanted to ruffle his own hair into a mess: Xie Wuchi… But you really feel like my dad and my mom at the same time!

Every gulp Shi Shu swallowed became harder than the last. He really couldn’t hold back anymore and wanted to snatch the bowl: “I’ll do it myself—”

Xie Wuchi said, “You can rely on me.”

Shi Shu fell silent, at a loss for words. Xie Wuchi added, “Besides, you’re like a little dog.”

Shi Shu: “Ah? Where do I look like a dog? Xie Wuchi, I think you’re the one who looks like a dog!”

“You don’t believe me?” Xie Wuchi passed another spoonful of food over.

Shi Shu opened his mouth to vent, but seeing the food coming, he took a bite. After swallowing, he went, “Woof, woof, woof!”

Xie Wuchi fed him another spoonful. Shi Shu took a bite, then chirped again, “You’re the one like a dog! By the way, the ‘dog’ you mean is a normal dog like Lai Fu, right? Not some weird, messed-up dog?”

Xie Wuchi: “A normal dog.”

Just as Shi Shu was about to bark again, another mouthful of food was stuffed into his mouth.

“………………”

“Why don’t I believe you?” Shi Shu muttered. “Xie Wuchi, I know you have weird hobbies—BDSM, roleplay, and all that stuff. I’m definitely not playing along with you.”

Xie Wuchi: “Hmm?”

“Master, dog, forced love play, discipline, abuse… Even if we’re together, I won’t play those with you, pervert!” Shi Shu’s face was bright red.

Xie Wuchi’s expression darkened slightly as he stroked his ear. “Stop talking, good boy.”

Shi Shu: “Did talking turn you on?!”

Xie Wuchi: “You do know me a bit.”

Shi Shu: “Whoa, Xie Wuchi, you really have no shame.”

Xie Wuchi’s pad rubbed against his lips without stopping.

Feeling the heat of the fingertip, Shi Shu knew that beneath Xie Wuchi’s gorgeous exterior lay nothing but scorching, twisted love and unspeakable fetishes. He didn’t refute it; identity distortion and non-traditional dynamics resonated with the missing pieces inside him—the more painful it was, the more pleasure he derived from it.

Although modern relationships were open and people pursued sexual freedom, self-restraint was often practiced in faith, making sexual relations almost one of the original sins, through which many glimpses of evil could be seen.

Xie Wuchi was precisely like this. On normal days, his external demeanor was rational, smart, composed, and even elegant. But once his clothes were off, he became a twisted beast.

Shi Shu chattered on for a while, while Xie Wuchi held a finger against the side of his lips without making much of a response. Shi Shu looked up; Xie Wuchi’s pitch-black eyes were staring at him, devoid of emotion, his nose bridge casting a few silver-white cold highlights. It was obvious he had been stimulated.

Shi Shu’s heart skipped a beat. Xie Wuchi was practically a patient—he couldn’t be judged by normal standards in the first place.

The center of his finger was burning, a restrained body temperature seeping through the thin calluses. In that fraction of an inch, the wild beast racing within his blood was being suppressed. Shi Shu instantly understood: Don’t easily provoke his beastly nature.

Shi Shu hurriedly bit down on the spoon: “Hungry, gonna eat.”

Xie Wuchi snapped back to reality and calmly withdrew his hand. If he truly became Xie Wuchi’s partner, after they adjusted to each other, satisfying his physical needs was bound to happen; playing along with him was almost an expected certainty.

Xie Wuchi had a strong sexual drive. If they ended up in bed, satisfying his needs there might make it easier to achieve the ultimate goal.

Shi Shu suddenly thought of this and asked, “Xie Wuchi, besides me, does anyone else know about your hobbies?”

Xie Wuchi: “My parents know too.”

“And no one else?”

“Mm. Others don’t even know my sexual orientation. I have a strong guard against people. The more you say, the more mistakes you make. Telling them the truth isn’t as interesting as lying. Besides, it’s not good for more people to know about this.”

Shi Shu gave an “Oh.” So Xie Wuchi thinks it’s not good either?

Regardless, Shi Shu lowered his eyes, willing to tell himself: Does him sharing this mean he handed his weakness over to me? Actually, someone liking weird stuff isn’t really a crime, right? But Xie Wuchi is clearly heavily affected by it.

Shi Shu spoke up from behind him just as Xie Wuchi had someone clear away the dishes. The room returned to quiet: “Xie Wuchi.”

“What’s wrong?”

“Are you turning twenty-six soon?”

Xie Wuchi: “You remembered.”

“Twenty-six.” Shi Shu let out a yawn. “You’re practicing ascetics too, aren’t you?”

With Xie Wuchi’s power and strength, locking someone up for forced love would be a matter of minutes, yet he didn’t. Instead, he maintained this lukewarm, daily confrontation with desire, living like a widower.

Those without desires lived easy lives. But Xie Wuchi, cursed by all kinds of desires, suffered every day like a fire burning inside him—his life wasn’t easy at all.

Was handing over a weakness just to guide someone to kill him… a living hell?!

Shi Shu rolled his eyes: I really am a bad man… a bastard…!

As Shi Shu was talking to himself, Xie Wuchi scooped him up in his arms and used a towel to wipe the sweat off his body. Shi Shu barely managed to sit on the stool. The bedding needed changing, and the pillows needed changing too. After changing them, Xie Wuchi wrung out a towel in a basin of hot water and wiped down Shi Shu’s body.

Shi Shu asked, “What do you want for your birthday present?”

Xie Wuchi: “I don’t have an obsession with celebrating birthdays, nor do I feel that day is any different. You don’t need to waste energy thinking about it; whatever you give is fine.”

Shi Shu was having his face wiped by the towel and stared at him: “Alright then…”

It just so happened he couldn’t think of anything anyway.

As Xie Wuchi attentively helped him wipe his body, Shi Shu remained unclothed, exposing his pale, youthful chest and back. The atmosphere was already somewhat awkward, so when Xie Wuchi wiped down to his legs, Shi Shu turned his head away.

All night, whenever Shi Shu slept, Xie Wuchi would get up from time to time to check on him.
