RBNR Ch27: You are already my Omega

He was locked up.

Qin Bao had work the next day. After calming down, he shouted for someone from his room for a long time, but even Mama Tao didn’t come. Frustrated, he paced around his room.

The old man was serious this time.

He had someone throw a bottle of medicinal oil into Qin Bao’s room and delivered meals on time, providing good food and drink, saying Qin Bao could come out only when he had thought things through.

At eighteen, it was the first time his grandfather had hit him, and it was severe.

Qin Bao took off his clothes and looked in the mirror, seeing numerous crisscrossing bruises on his back.

Really strong!

His body ached, and Qin Bao felt wronged. He was willing to bear the consequences of missing work, but he would fight this to the end.

His life was his own, and he would never let anyone control him, leading to a situation where he couldn’t make his own decisions.

He quickly contacted Brother Lu, saying he might miss work. Only after knowing it would be handled properly did he feel relieved.

“What about the next arrangements? The schedule for Danlong conflicts with the next day’s. I asked Lucy, and she said there’s a private plane going that night with a spare seat. I can fly over myself, and you can come later or go back directly.”

Lucy was also a well-known model and had a good relationship with Qin Bao.

Brother Lu said, “Ah, Bao… the Danlong show has been canceled.”

Qin Bao didn’t mind: “Then I don’t need to catch the plane. I’ll just go to the next day’s event and let Lucy know.”

“Okay.” Brother Lu said tactfully, “Bao, actually, you don’t need to go to the next day’s event either.”

Qin Bao said, “Are you worried I won’t be able to get out? Don’t worry about that; I’ll find a way.”

Brother Lu had to tell the truth: “All your upcoming work has been canceled.”

Qin Bao frowned: “What do you mean?”

Brother Lu said, “It’s from above. Leo said your contract is about to expire, so they won’t give you any work until then.”

Qin Bao had quickly reviewed the contract. SISI’s terms were indeed generous, and their planning for his future was good, but he had a few issues with the artist contract.

“Are they afraid I won’t renew, and want to wait until I do?” Qin Bao said. “What’s the company lawyer’s number? Or have them contact me.”

Brother Lu hesitated, making Qin Bao impatient before he revealed the real reason: “Actually, the old man had a word with them, so the company isn’t planning to renew your contract.”

Qin Bao froze.

He never thought it would be for this reason. The old man was truly ruthless.

Realizing this, Qin Bao said, “I’m an adult now. I don’t need a guardian’s signature. I can decide all the terms myself—”

Brother Lu, in pain, said, “I know! But you’re different! Even if you don’t care about his wishes, we do. Losing you is a huge loss for the company. Leo’s been worried sick these past few days!”

Qin Bao gritted his teeth: “Then I won’t renew. Brother Lu, let’s go independent. I’ll pay you. Or like we talked about before, we can start our own studio, and you can manage it.”

Brother Lu was tempted but hesitated and said, “We won’t have a future. Even if we go independent, even if we go abroad, as long as we’re in the Union, we won’t get any good opportunities.”

Qin Bao: “I have money. Even without work, I won’t let you suffer.”

Brother Lu said, “I know you wouldn’t let me suffer, but I’ve been in this business for so long, finally stabilizing, with so much experience and connections… at my age, I can’t gamble like a youngster.”

“In short, you’re just scared.” Qin Bao shouted, “You’re always scared. Whenever my grandfather says something, you shrink like a turtle!”

Brother Lu didn’t argue.

After a long pause, he said, “Forget it, Qin Bao. Focus on your studies. The old man is right; even if you don’t get married, he won’t let you stay in this circle for long. This isn’t the first time. Last time, we almost terminated the contract over your weight. Our industry… for families like yours, it’s not considered a proper path.”

The old man’s punishment went too far. He ended Qin Bao’s work in one fell swoop, crushing his dreams completely.

Anything but this. With no other options, Qin Bao refused to eat, staging a hunger strike.

The old man, even angrier, had the food left there. When Qin Bao finished it, they’d replace it. If he got so hungry he had to eat spoiled food, it was his own fault. As long as he didn’t starve to death, it was fine.

Qin Bao couldn’t back down now.

When the grandfather and grandson were both stubborn, no one could persuade them. After an unknown number of days, Qin Bao woke up feeling dizzy and sensed someone sitting by his bed.

It was late, and the room was dark, with only the garden lights casting shadows on the ceiling.

The figure was tall, with a faint fragrance. In the dim light, Qin Bao felt the person silently watching him.

Knowing who it was, Qin Bao’s heart felt sour, bitter, and distinctly annoyed.

Feng Chengyu… how did he get in?

Was it because of that relationship, so his grandfather gave him special treatment?

Why was he here?

Seeing Qin Bao awake, Feng Chengyu spoke softly: “I’m sorry. I mistakenly thought you knew and had feelings for me.”

Finally receiving an apology, feeling somewhat understood, even if it was Feng Chengyu, Qin Bao’s annoyance diminished slightly, and his eyes grew hot: “What made you think that?”

Qin Bao’s voice was hoarse and his tone fierce, but he lacked strength, making it sound a bit soft.

A cat’s claws scratching, but not hurting.

The two exchanged only a couple of sentences, and the room fell back into silence.

Why did things develop the way they did that day? Should they blame Feng Chengyu’s pheromones, Qin Bao’s lack of inhibitor, or the “potentially very high” compatibility?

They both knew the main culprit was a moment of impulse.

Qin Bao spoke again, “Feng Chengyu, if every relationship in the world had to end in marriage, wouldn’t it be chaos? Without love as a foundation, how could it last? There’d always be people getting divorced.”

Feng Chengyu replied, “Perhaps we could get along well after getting married.”

Qin Bao turned his face away: “Impossible, I won’t be a tool.”

Feng Chengyu was silent for a while, then asked, “If it hadn’t been me that night, but someone else, would you have taken an inhibitor?”

“Depends on their looks,” Qin Bao lied, deliberately making the situation seem casual, “When stimulated by pheromones, if they’re somewhat attractive, just enjoy the moment, no need to hold back. Do you really need to justify doing adult things when both parties agree?”

As his eyes gradually adjusted to the light, Qin Bao could vaguely make out the room’s furnishings but didn’t turn back, afraid of revealing his underlying affection, and didn’t try to see Feng Chengyu’s face clearly.

His heart ached intensely, and he suddenly thought, if only he had magic.

If he had magic, he could make the other approach him out of genuine affection, send those flowers out of love, making his feelings no longer a misunderstanding or seem foolish.

Or, he could use magic to dissolve their engagement, turning them into true strangers. If they met one day, he’d be willing to pursue Feng Chengyu openly, just like when he approached Feng Chu years ago; he never lacked courage.

Unfortunately, it all started wrong, unequal, and arranged.

He knew very well that if he weren’t the betrothed, Feng Chengyu’s ascetic appearance would be for someone else, not even glancing at him.

“You’re just decent looking,” Qin Bao continued to salvage his dignity, “Otherwise, it wouldn’t necessarily be you.”

As he spoke, a pair of large hands suddenly reached under the blanket, lifting him up effortlessly.

“What are you doing?”

Qin Bao struggled angrily, relying on his height and long legs, making quite a commotion.

But after not eating for days, only finding a few toffees of questionable expiration date in some corner, his body was weak. The Alpha’s strength was too great, and with just a bit of effort, Qin Bao was firmly held down, pressed onto Feng Chengyu’s lap.

“You are already my Omega,” Feng Chengyu said, “No matter what you want to do with others, where you want to hunt, you can only think about it.”

Feng Chengyu’s tone was cold, and his words were blunt.

At this moment, Feng Chengyu reverted to his public persona, as cold and arrogant as the daffodil scent on him, unapproachable, not bending for anyone.

No longer the private Feng Chengyu who would joke and tease.

Being held and controlled like this, the feeling of humiliation once again surged to Qin Bao’s face.

“Pah,” he shouted, “What do you mean your Omega? Just because you bit me, I’m your Omega? Dream on—”

Feng Chengyu directly pressed his hand on the back of Qin Bao’s head, forcing it down, and blocked his mouth.

Qin Bao was forced to accept the kiss, desperately pushing against Feng Chengyu’s shoulders, but he didn’t budge, making Qin Bao shake with anger, cursing furiously.

Unfortunately, the curses were muffled, and Feng Chengyu took the opportunity to pry open his mouth.

As their tongues touched, an electric current shot through his spine uncontrollably. Qin Bao didn’t want this, and opened his mouth to bite. The taste of blood filled his mouth, and the pheromone scent became overwhelming.

Locked in the room these days, Qin Bao hadn’t needed to take inhibitors or use gland patches.

Almost immediately, he felt something burst in his mind, his pheromones releasing as if with a will of their own, clinging desperately to Feng Chengyu’s.

Damn bastard!

Still seducing people!

His body grew hotter and weaker, the sense of crisis at the back of his neck intensified, and his will to resist waned.

However, the expected pain didn’t come.

Feng Chengyu kissed him thoroughly, inside and out, before letting go.

Then, he slowly squeezed his neck gland, as if holding back something, using this action to ease it.

“You are already my Omega, is that clear enough?”

Pheromones entangled, Qin Bao panted with rage.

Their foreheads touched, and in the dim light, he could see Feng Chengyu’s increasingly dark and obscure eyes.

“Accept the reality, learn to accept it,” Feng Chengyu’s voice was deep, “I will do my utmost to give you the freedom you want.”

Qin Bao’s mind was still buzzing, unable to respond, only glaring at him.

Feng Chengyu, as if soothing, released his grip on Qin Bao’s neck and slowly ran his hand down his back, gently stroking: “Marry me, and you can continue modeling, shooting commercials, or acting in the movies you want. I will bear the family’s pressure, I will persuade my grandfather, allowing you to pursue your dreams.”

His tone became gentle again.

“When you become stronger, no one will be able to influence your decisions or interfere with your future. Then you can do whatever you want.”

“Think about it, you won’t lose in this deal.”
