FIMA Ch166: Past Events

It’s unclear if this word just now had any effect.

Gu Siyuan this time exerted himself excessively. Even though Xie Xueyi was a cultivator, he eventually couldn’t bear it and fell into a deep sleep.

When Xie Xueyi opened his eyes again, he didn’t know how many days and nights had passed.

The cliff breeze, accompanied by a faint lotus fragrance, drifted in through the wide-open window, refreshing the heart and soul.

Xie Xueyi moved his hands and feet within the quilt, only to find his body surrounded by a chill.

He hugged the blanket and rubbed against it, then pouted, “Just as he’s full, he ran away.”

Just as he was about to get angry, there was a slight sound from the door. Xie Xueyi raised his eyes to look.

The familiar figure of Gu Siyuan walked in.

Gu Siyuan saw Xie Xueyi looking at him with round eyes, full of himself. Unable to help himself, he raised the corners of his lips and gently said, “Xueyi, you’re awake?”

Gu Siyuan was usually the most indifferent person, but once he softened his tone, it completely intoxicated people.

And he even called him Xueyi…

Xie Xueyi felt that he was really easily deceived.

He forced himself to brew for a moment, then resumed his unhappy mood, snorting at Gu Siyuan, “Heh, truly worthy of being the senior brother of the immortal sect, such a busy person…”

Gu Siyuan glanced at him.

He walked to the edge of the bed with his hands behind his back, sat down, and pulled Xie Xueyi into his arms. With a slight confusion, he asked, “Xueyi, are you angry?”

Gu Siyuan’s appearance made Xie Xueyi even more angry. He gripped the blanket with both hands, stared at him, and asked, “Where did you go so early in the morning?”

Gu Siyuan said lightly, “I went to see the Sect Master on the main peak of Taixuan Mountain.”

“To see the Sect Master so early…” Xie Xueyi blinked, “Oh, right, we’ve been back for a few days. Have those people who went to the secret realm returned?”

Gu Siyuan shook his head gently, “Not yet, but they should be back soon. This time, when I went to the main peak of Taixuan Mountain, I reported the events that occurred in the secret realm to the Sect Master and also about your sect’s involvement with the demonic sect.”

“My sect… what news about my sect?” Xie Xueyi asked in slight shock.

He remembered the chaos of these past few days, couldn’t help but blush slightly, and hesitantly said, “I remember, a few days ago I just casually mentioned to you about my sect being in a small secret realm. I didn’t get to tell you anything else, and then you… “

The more he spoke, the quieter his voice became, but he couldn’t help but glare fiercely at Gu Siyuan.

Gu Siyuan pinched his cheek and smiled ambiguously, “Why are you looking at me like that? Was I the only one enjoying it? Have you been unhappy these days?”

Xie Xueyi puffed up his cheeks and reluctantly said, “No, I’ve been a little happy.”

Gu Siyuan narrowed his eyes, “Just a little?”

Xie Xueyi shivered, feeling a chill spreading.

However, he was always savvy, immediately leaned on Gu Siyuan and acted spoiled, “Actually, I’ve been very, very happy. Big brother, you’re the best lover in the world.”

Gu Siyuan raised his eyebrows slightly, gently patted Xie Xueyi’s fair cheek, and his voice deepened, “Good boy.”

“… ” Xie Xueyi licked his lips.

He thought he was shameless and perverted enough, but now that he had gotten to know Gu Siyuan, he realized that the seemingly well-behaved and silent person was the truly terrifying one.

Xie Xueyi swallowed and changed the subject, “Big brother, what did you specifically discuss with the Sect Master? Actually, I don’t know much about my broken sect myself.”

Gu Siyuan naturally saw through his intentions, glanced at him with a smile, and said lightly, “Is your sect called Lingting?”

Xie Xueyi widened his eyes, “You really know?”

Gu Siyuan pinched his cheek and said lightly, “Do I need to bluff you about such trivial matters? In fact, I may know more than you imagine.”

“No, big brother is a big shot with grand plans, naturally you wouldn’t bluff me,” Xie Xueyi immediately shook his head, then pretended to smile sycophantically, “But, dear big brother, where did you learn all this? When we first met, you could recognize me at a glance, and even at Taixuan Tower, you could see through the background of that disciple from Ziji Mountain.”

Gu Siyuan pointed to his head.

“…” Xie Xueyi.

Yeah, you’re amazing, you’re smart, you’re formidable.

Gu Siyuan saw his adorable look and chuckled softly, “Of course, after passing through the Immortal Spirit Secret Realm this time and passing ten challenges in the Ancient Immortal City, I learned some things. That’s why I went to discuss and report to the Sect Master.”

“Oh my,” Xie Xueyi rolled his eyes, “This Immortal Spirit Secret Realm really has a lot of tricks, creating so many strange tests. Not only are there many secret techniques and treasures, but there are also secrets about my broken sect.”

Gu Siyuan remained unchanged, “It does have some small usefulness. That day, after passing ten challenges in the Immortal Spirit Ancient City, I met a person, or rather, the remnant soul of a person. That person claimed to be Tianlan Master, and he told me some things.”

Xie Xueyi smiled brightly, hugged Gu Siyuan’s arm, and shook it, “In the end, big brother is amazing. If it were someone else, they wouldn’t have been able to pass ten challenges, and these secrets would forever remain secrets…”

Gu Siyuan chuckled lightly, “Flatterer.”

Xie Xueyi made a funny face at him, acted spoiled, and said, “Everything I said was true. If you don’t believe me, big brother, come feel my sincerity.”

With that, he grabbed Gu Siyuan’s hand and tried to place it on his chest.

Gu Siyuan reached back and gently grasped Xie Xueyi’s delicate wrist, lightly massaging it a few times. “It seems these past few days haven’t fully satisfied you yet. We can discuss serious matters later. How about we continue what we were doing earlier, completely fulfilling your desires?”

“… ” Xie Xueyi widened his eyes, quickly trying to refuse, “No need, no need, big brother, let’s talk about serious matters. You really don’t need to spoil me like this. It’s not good; it might make me arrogant because of your indulgence.”

Gu Siyuan lightly agreed, “Then in the future, I should treat you a bit colder.”

“Ah?” Xie Xueyi blinked nervously, “Big brother, that’s not necessary…”

Gu Siyuan narrowed his eyes, pinched his chin, “Not necessary? So, you were lying to me just now. You just don’t like being with me?”

Xie Xueyi immediately shook his head, trying to explain earnestly, “That’s even more impossible, but… big brother, you know, you’re so amazing and strong. Even though I almost adore you, you also know, my body is delicate, and I really can’t handle… that from you…”

Listening to his anxious tone, Gu Siyuan couldn’t help but chuckle softly.

“Big brother?” Xie Xueyi looked up at him.

Gu Siyuan leaned down and lightly kissed his crimson lips, with a hint of coaxing in his voice, “Alright, I understand. Let’s stop here. I’ll continue to tell you what Tianlan Master told me in the secret realm, about a past event on the Canglan Continent and the origin of the distinction between righteousness and evil.”

Xie Xueyi immediately breathed a sigh of relief, “Okay, okay.”

Gu Siyuan continued, “Xueyi, guess why your sect, Lingting, has always stayed hidden in the secret realm and never wanted to meet outsiders?”

Xie Xueyi sneered coldly, “Not seeing anyone naturally means they’re up to no good…”

Gu Siyuan said, “Indeed, they don’t want to be seen. If I’m not mistaken, your sect in the secret realm must have taken the stance of superior power against the three major forces of evil, right?”

Xie Xueyi nodded, “Yeah, how did you know that?”

Following Gu Siyuan’s narrative, Xie Xueyi finally gained some understanding of the continent’s history.

Thousands of years ago, the spiritual energy on their continent was abundant, and Nascent Soul cultivators ascending to the Spirit Realm was a common occurrence.

But at some point, the path for their continent to ascend to the Spirit Realm seemed to have been sealed. The spiritual energy of heaven and earth rapidly declined, from being inexhaustible to becoming scarce.

Since then, no Nascent Soul cultivator successfully ascended to the Spirit Realm again.

The cultivation of all cultivators became many times more difficult than before, and Nascent Soul cultivators had no hope of further cultivation, only watching their lives come to an end helplessly.

Thus, it also led to the increasingly fierce competition for resources in the cultivation world. Spiritual stone deposits were monopolized by several major sects, supported almost entirely by lower-level cultivators from across the world.

In the process of resource competition, the division between righteousness and evil gradually emerged.

Of course, during this process, the Nascent Soul cultivators at the pinnacle of cultivation sought the reasons for the world-changing events and gradually understood the causes behind the changes in the Canglan world.

The Tianlan Master encountered in the Immortal Spirit Secret Realm was one such Nascent Soul cultivator.

Xie Xueyi widened his eyes curiously, “So what exactly happened?”

Gu Siyuan narrowed his eyes, “Because of a family in the Spirit Realm.”

The spiritual energy in their Canglan world was not as abundant as in the Spirit Realm, making it extremely rare for any cultivator, starting from the Qi Refining stage, to reach the Nascent Soul realm. Each major cultivation breakthrough required countless precious resources and endured rigorous tribulations.

Due to these difficulties, the resources became increasingly precious and solid.

A family surnamed Xiao in the Spirit Realm had dealings with cultivators ascending, and they unexpectedly discovered that cultivators from the Canglan world were natural treasures that could be refined into precious pills and spiritual herbs.

Thus, this person harbored malicious intentions. Not only did they secretly kill ascending cultivators, but they also stationed disciples to guard the exit above the ascension passage in the Canglan world.

Whenever a cultivator ascended, they would be captured by those stationed above and ultimately used for bloodletting and flesh-cutting, treated as ingredients for pills and spiritual herbs.

However, the cultivators in the Canglan world who managed to ascend were all resilient and deep-minded individuals who had endured countless tribulations. Therefore, a few managed to escape after being captured, using all their cunning to evade their pursuers.

They returned to the Canglan Continent and, with combined efforts, laid down a large array to directly seal off the ascension passage of the Canglan world.

It was from then on that no one on this continent could successfully ascend again.

Similarly, due to the lack of spiritual energy circulation from the Spirit Realm, the spiritual energy in the Canglan world continued to decline day by day, making cultivation increasingly difficult for everyone.

However, the story doesn’t end here.

Initially, in pursuit of those escaped ascending cultivators, the Xiao family in the Spirit Realm sent several people after them. Because the passage was sealed, the Xiao family was forced to stay in the Canglan world.

The escaping ascending cultivators had exhausted all their spiritual energy to seal the passage and soon passed away.

Meanwhile, the Xiao family cultivators who remained in the Canglan world went into hiding, disappearing from public view.

It wasn’t until a thousand years had passed that these individuals slowly resurfaced.

By then, they had grown into an undeniable force, which became the hidden Lingting sect in the secret realm. Today, the three major evil sects are just their pawns.

The Canglan continent wanted to seal the ascension passage to prevent their people from dying in vain.

However, the remnants of the Xiao family from the Lingting only wished to break the seal and return to the Spirit Realm. For ten thousand years, they have been striving for this goal.

Now, thousands of years later, the seal they placed is gradually weakening. In a year’s time, it will be the best opportunity to break it open again.

Xie Xueyi lay on top of Gu Siyuan, squinting slightly. “It turns out to be quite a complicated story. Damn, the Lingting sect actually did such things. They’re the enemies of the entire Canglan world. No wonder they hid in small secret realms, setting up so many formations and seals. It took me enormous effort to escape in the first place.”

Gu Siyuan nodded, sincerely praising, “Xueyi, you’re quite formidable.”

Xie Xueyi lifted his head, looking at him in surprise.

Gu Siyuan, a person of such pride and strength, faced almost nothing in the world that could trouble him, and naturally, there were very few people he regarded highly, including his master, Qingchen Mountain Lord.

Therefore, these words from Gu Siyuan now not only comforted him as a lover but also gave him a sense of appreciation as a confidant.

Though Xie Xueyi usually loved to act cute and flirt with Gu Siyuan, as a man, this acknowledgment and recognition of his abilities was what truly made him feel proud and comfortable deep inside.

Thinking this, Xie Xueyi’s expression grew even more pleased, and he suddenly pulled out an item from his ring. “Big brother, not only did I manage to escape, but I also stole a treasure!”

It was a pitch-black conical object, resembling the horn of some spiritual beast, covered with intricate patterns that were difficult to discern, emitting an unknown aura.

Gu Siyuan recalled a detail from the original plot and said coldly, “This is the Black Dragon Cone.”

“Big brother, you even know about this,” Xie Xueyi was even more astonished.

Gu Siyuan chuckled lightly without saying a word.

After a moment, Xie Xueyi looked at Gu Siyuan softly and said, “Big brother, you’re so much more amazing than me.”

Gu Siyuan’s lips curved upwards as he held the conical object. “The Black Dragon Cone is made by killing thousands of flood dragons and gathering their resentment through a special method. Its greatest function is to break formations. This should be what the Lingting sect prepared to break the seals on the ascension passage in the future. I didn’t expect such a crucial item to be stolen by you.”

Xie Xueyi smiled smugly. “So, you admit I’m formidable!”

Gu Siyuan nodded and added, “However, the fact that you managed to escape from the Lingting sect’s secret realm back then was probably also thanks to the help of this Black Dragon Cone…”

Xie Xueyi puffed up his cheeks and hmphed, “Hmm.”

Gu Siyuan pinched his cheek. “That doesn’t diminish your prowess. It only shows that you’re brave and resourceful.”

Xie Xueyi was easily amused and immediately grinned widely, showing a set of neat, white teeth. “Big brother, you’re so naughty. Now you even know how to sweet-talk and coax people. I’m going to love you more than ever.”

Gu Siyuan squinted his eyes. “Does that mean you didn’t love me that much before?”

“…” Xie Xueyi opened his mouth.

His brother is really becoming more and more domineering and sultry now!

  1. Not sure why the ML’s (Xie) powers always have to be so much lower and underestimated compared to GSY. GSY has the advantage of knowing the original plots and his rewards from the various worlds. And his memory. Isn’t that enough? Xie is also a world-hopping soul, which means that he also has a powerful ability. Why is the author insisting on presenting Xie as someone who has to depend on GSY for everything, when all those characters (Xie’s avatars) were strong enough to cause problems to the original protagonists?

    1. Logically, GSY has more advantage, he know the detail from the original story combined with his smart photographic memory when Xie is not. Xie conscious thought he was original resident, born and living on every world. Maybe that’s why he keep dying in original story, bcs when the world consciousness want to erase Xie’s avatar, Xie can’t do anything because he doesn’t know even heaven support item, not like protagonist that can have anything.

Tldr; GSY has cheat with ability, Xie just have ability no cheat.
Also, it’s clearly seen from arc one this book is strongest gong x dependent shou troupe, so author obv won’t make Xie stronger or the settings would collapse 😅
