The umbrella was collected by staff in the morning. Their movements were too swift; they didn’t notice something was sandwiched inside.

Cheng Duzhou was a bit tense.

Duan Xingye’s limbs were stiff, but his expression remained unchanged, his mind racing.

How to elegantly pick up a skirt in front of a crowd.

He didn’t know how far the audience’s imagination would go, but it didn’t matter. A skirt falling out of an umbrella proved nothing. The outrageous truth was something even the parties involved couldn’t have imagined.

Duan Xingye picked up the skirt, folded it, and looked at Cheng Duzhou: “Told you not to hang the umbrella on the drying rack.”

Cheng Duzhou understood immediately, lowered his head, and scratched the end of his eyebrow: “Will pay attention next time.”

Even without saying it, the livestream knew the skirt was his, so now he had to clear himself of suspicion regarding touching this skirt last night.

“Who asked you to wash this? I was planning to throw it away.” Duan Xingye was very much in character, saying grumpily, “Wait, why did you wash clothes for me?”

Cheng Duzhou looked up at him, whispering: “Because Aishiteru (I love you).”

“…”

Bullet comments:

“Hahahaha! This meme follow-up is so cold!”

“Willing to wash clothes for wifey because of love, full marks for the answer!”

“Sorry, seeing the skirt, my little face turned yellow (dirty thoughts). I am impure, I am guilty.”

“So there’s such a warm story hidden behind the umbrella.”

“Teacher Duan is unhappy because of working several weekends in a row, taking it out on President Cheng too, so don’t think dirty thoughts sigh!”

Cheng Duzhou stuffed the rolled-up skirt into the paper bag beside him and continued to accept questions from the livestream with Duan Xingye.

Old Xu read a bullet comment: “Does President Cheng wash clothes at home usually too?”

Seeing the focus successfully shifted, the couple breathed a sigh of relief simultaneously.

Duan Xingye answered: “President Cheng is usually not at home.”

Laughter rolled in the bullet comments.

Old Xu said, “Since President Cheng is often filming outside, does Teacher Duan miss him?”

Duan Xingye found it strange: “Don’t I have my own things to do?”

Bullet comments:

“Laughing until I vomit! Watch Teacher Duan once a day to prevent getting ‘love brain’!”

“Teacher Duan is very Buddha-like (chill) when doing business, but as a singer, he is career-oriented; otherwise, he wouldn’t have good songs one after another.”

“The couple is too strong. Stuck like glue when together, independent when working. This is the best kind of love, right!”

“Feel like President Cheng is a little disappointed.”

Old Xu caught a bullet comment and continued asking, “Does President Cheng miss Teacher Duan?”

Cheng Duzhou pondered silently for a moment and said, “Yes. Hope to spend more time together.”

Bullet comments screamed, spamming “Shipped it!” all over the screen again.

Duan Xingye pursed his lips lightly, not looking at Cheng Duzhou beside him.

As long as it was said by Cheng Duzhou during variety show recording, he could treat it as wind passing his ears.

But an overly sincere attitude would still inadvertently invade his mind.

Time passed quickly during the livestream interaction. Not long after, everyone’s stall carts were delivered.

The carts were decorated.

Cheng Duzhou found a chair for Duan Xingye again.

But Duan Xingye didn’t sit. He even nudged Cheng Duzhou aside, put on gloves, and wanted to run the stall personally.

Cheng Duzhou saw he wanted to avoid suspicion. Taking advantage of tourists not arriving yet, he leaned close and pulled him into his arms.

Duan Xingye was unhappy with the sudden hug for no reason. Mindful of the camera nearby, he said somewhat defensively, “What?”

Cheng Duzhou leaned close to his ear and whispered, “I won’t do this in the future…”

Duan Xingye felt the large palm on his lower back quietly massaging, relieving some pressure.

The resentment accumulated since morning seemed to be blown away by a gust of wind.

You have a conscience after all.

Duan Xingye stopped talking, relaxed his body, and rested his chin on Cheng Duzhou’s shoulder.

The livestream only saw the couple leaning on each other to show affection before work, sweet enough to cause tooth decay.

“You two are unwilling to separate for even a moment!”

When the time came, tourists flooded into the lunch market food area.

The four groups of guests’ stalls were surrounded tightly.

Staff organized the queue order nearby, so the scene was orderly.

In front of the ” Lü Ye Shu Huai Couple Fruit Mix” stall, some were tourists here for food, while others were fans here to see the celebrity couple.

The couple sold only two types of fruit mix, one priced at 25 and one at 35, differing in fruit combinations.

Wearing a mask, Duan Xingye deftly scooped different kinds of fruits into bowls based on orders.

However, after selling only three bowls, Cheng Duzhou saw a problem.

He suddenly reached out, held Duan Xingye’s hand holding the ladle, lifted and dropped it, saying: “You have to learn from the cafeteria auntie, shake twice before picking up.”

Screams immediately erupted among the customers in front. Many fans shouted: “No! President Cheng don’t be so stingy—!!!”

Cheng Duzhou just lowered his lashes looking at Duan Xingye, ignoring the fans’ appeals.

Only then did Duan Xingye realize he was giving too much.

He didn’t mind, but ingredients were limited. The more portions sold, the more money earned. With his method of almost overflowing every bowl, they might lose a lot in the end.

So Duan Xingye started consciously controlling the amount of each scoop.

Even so, it was still a good deal for customers.

A girl who was a fan took the meal box, shrank her shoulders, and made a heart sign at Duan Xingye: “Teacher Duan, Aishiteru yo.”

Bursts of laughter erupted around.

Everyone had watched the livestream just now.

Duan Xingye lowered his head working seriously, not joking with her.

The next customer took the meal box, confessing excitedly: “Teacher Duan, Aishiteru!”

“…”

Then the one after that, a young man: “Teacher Duan, Ai…”

“Enough from you guys!”

Duan Xingye finally couldn’t help but get irritable.

Laughter erupted simultaneously from the livestream and tourists on site.

However, playing with the meme ended there.

After Duan Xingye sold a dozen bowls, Cheng Duzhou took over his position, not letting him work anymore.

With heavy foot traffic in front of Hengyuan Mall, the prepared fruit mix would only be insufficient, never unsold.

Moreover, after customers ate, when the program team went for return visits, they gave uniform praise.

A girl nodded frantically at the camera: “The fruits selected by President Cheng and Teacher Duan are super delicious, and the yogurt is also super awesome!”

Her classmate added beside her: “Really as sweet as first love!”

The livestream watched, tears flowing from the corners of their mouths (drooling).

“Wuwuwu really want to go to the scene to eat fruit mix made by Lü Ye Shu Huai personally.”

“President Cheng and Teacher Duan are very serious about both selection and washing fruits. Conscientious merchants.”

“Begging the couple to open a shop, I will definitely go to support!”

In less than an hour, all fruits were sold out.

Cheng Duzhou and Duan Xingye were the first to complete the lunch market stall mission.

They hugged the tin box and started counting money.

Counting to the end, they earned over three thousand.

Duan Xingye raised both hands high, straightened his waist, and fell forward onto Cheng Duzhou.

Cheng Duzhou caught him, understanding he was happy now.

Whenever there was a harvest after hard work, no matter how much, Duan Xingye would show happiness from the heart.

Like a child.

After all guests finished setting up stalls, the production team tallied everyone’s sales.

Finally, [Lü Ye Shu Huai] defeated [Xue Li (Pear Peeling – Xiao/Li CP name)] with a narrow advantage of one hundred yuan, obtaining the first place points. Currently, the total points ranking was still first.

After ending, Xiao Jiahui was still reviewing with Jiang Li: “We lost because our profit margin wasn’t as high as theirs.”

Jiang Li slapped him: “You, a company owner, can’t even beat us from the entertainment industry.”

“Project wasn’t chosen well.” Xiao Jiahui sighed. “Those two are too smart.”

Duan Xingye heard it, leaning over: “You let us win.”

Jiang Li and Xiao Jiahui both couldn’t help laughing.

Next, everyone went to eat. The afternoon until the end of this episode’s recording was free time for guests.

Jiang Li and Wu Enqi’s two couples chose to find a coffee shop to rest and chat.

Cheng Duzhou and Duan Xingye had to go to the pet store to pick up the cat, so they didn’t join them.

Viewers were curious seeing this scene: Where did the cat come from?

Accompanied by staff, the couple arrived at the pet store.

They wore bucket hats and masks very low-key, not causing a widespread sensation.

The doctor came out holding that basket.

The kitten was awake. It was dark last night, but now its coat color was finally clear: light gray tabby markings, snow-white from the lower half of the face to the jaw all the way to the belly. What was a bit special was a small tuft of gray-black fur on the side of its nose, out of place with the surrounding white.

The little guy opened its round black eyes at this moment. Ears, nose, and mouth were all pink, very light in color. Like ordinary kittens, it looked not very smart.

The doctor said it was too small to bathe, only doing simple cleaning work on the fur, and had already vaccinated and dewormed it.

Cheng Duzhou scooped the kitten out. Too small, almost holdable in one hand, but he still held it with both hands; the palm felt very soft.

The kitten slept buried in Cheng Duzhou’s clothes all night and was already familiar with his scent, so it was quiet when picked up, spreading four pink soft pads.

The livestream was almost crying from cuteness.

Cheng Duzhou asked Duan Xingye: “What name?”

The kitten was a girl.

Duan Xingye noticed the small tuft of gray-black under its nose and said, “Matchmaker.”

Bullet comments caught off guard: Hahahahaha—

Cheng Duzhou accepted it, lowering his head to the kitten: “I am Dad.”

Then turning it toward Duan Xingye, he said, “This is also Da…”

Duan Xingye beat him to it, introducing himself to the cat: “I am Grandpa.”

Cheng Duzhou: “Tsk.”

Bullet comments laughed wildly:

“Identity doubled!”

“Teacher Duan is happy being naughty!”

“Family of three with a daughter in the future! Be happy!”

Amidst the audience’s blessings, the couple ended this episode’s mall opening trip.

They booked a pet-friendly flight back this time. Usually requires advance reservation, but with VIP status, the airline quickly arranged everything properly.

At night, the couple boarded the plane with the cat.

Only these two people and one cat in the first-class cabin.

Duan Xingye typed a large paragraph of declaration in his memo and said to Cheng Duzhou: “Refuse cat entering the bedroom and my studio. Cat cannot go on the sofa. All furniture damage caused by the cat will be borne by you. I won’t tease the cat, won’t play with the cat. In case of illness, please contact the assistant to solve it…”

Cheng Duzhou propped his cheek listening, seeming not to listen at all.

Anyway, whatever Duan Xingye said now, he would agree to.

Duan Xingye pointed one hand into the basket at last, looking at his phone: “Ownership of this cat belongs to you. If one day you leave, you cannot abandon the cat on my side.”

Cheng Duzhou finally seemed to react, blinked lightly, looked at Duan Xingye, and pursed his lips.

The kitten raised its round head, leaning forward to sniff the finger above. Liking the scent, it squinted its eyes and rubbed the top of its head against it.

Duan Xingye felt warmth on his fingertip. A very slight electric current spread along the nerve endings toward the heart.

He withdrew his hand immediately, looking at the cat feeling offended.

That sea urchin head looked prickly, but was actually fluffy and very warm.

So weird…

Duan Xingye rubbed his fingertips but put them down quickly.

Anyway, he wasn’t raising the cat.

Duan Xingye brought up the drawing tool in the memo, handing the phone to Cheng Duzhou to sign at the end.

Husbands needing an agreement to raise a cat, probably only them.

Cheng Duzhou looked at the large paragraph of text on the memo, motionless, unknown which part he was looking at. Suddenly, he used his finger to draw a line over [If one day you leave], drew another line, and then simply scribbled in circles until the words were a black blob.

“…”

Duan Xingye glanced at the phone, then at Cheng Duzhou.

Cheng Duzhou’s jawline was slightly tight. He signed his name in the blank space at the end and returned the phone.

Duan Xingye felt Cheng Duzhou was giving him attitude, poked him with the phone, and said rudely: “What are you doing?”

Cheng Duzhou turned his face to the small window, back of the head facing him.

“???”

Duan Xingye was baffled.

Looking at the agreement on the memo again, he found that even if Cheng Duzhou blacked out that sentence, it didn’t affect the complete expression of meaning, so he also signed on the phone.

Then Duan Xingye thought, Vanke Metropolis was bought by Cheng Duzhou. If someone had to leave, it wouldn’t be Cheng Duzhou leaving.

“…”

He just expressed it like that subconsciously.

However, Duan Xingye wouldn’t admit mistakes, acting as if nothing happened. Putting away the phone, taking out a blanket to cover his legs, he leaned back to sleep.

He just felt the light was a bit glaring, forgot to turn it off.

Click.

The overhead light went out.

Duan Xingye froze for a moment, didn’t open his eyes, and continued to sleep.

Cheng Duzhou withdrew his hand, looking at the kitten on his lap, scratching its soft head gently with his finger.

The kitten also arched its head in response, giving silent comfort.

At night, the cabin bumped with the airflow.

Half-asleep and half-awake, Duan Xingye realized he was leaning on a broad shoulder.

He moved uneasily.

A large palm covered his ear, fixing his head.

Just passed half a moment like this.

He heard a voice seeming very distant, deep with slight raspiness: “Can I not leave…”

Duan Xingye was powerless to think, but that sentence rang vaguely in his mind.

— “I can always be by your side.”

It seemed cold water vapor drifted from the river surface.

Duan Xingye turned his face, pressing against Cheng Duzhou’s shoulder. Highlighted hair fell on his cheek, blocking his slightly parted red lips.

I can live very well even after you leave.

Very early the next day, Duan Xingye lay in bed, woken up by a slight rustling sound.

It was already early morning when they got home. He took a simple shower and slept. As for when Cheng Duzhou settled the cat and when he went to bed, he knew nothing.

Duan Xingye squinted his sore eyes into a slit, vaguely seeing Cheng Duzhou already dressed neatly, squatting in front of the opposite bedside table, tearing off a sticky note, crumpling it into a ball, racking his brains, and continuing to write.

Duan Xingye couldn’t be bothered with him, burying his face in the quilt to continue sleeping.

When he woke up again, daylight was already bright.

Duan Xingye stretched satisfyingly.

No matter what, home was the most comfortable.

He dawdled for a while, got out of bed, and then found a sticky note folded in half pasted on his bedside table.

Duan Xingye picked it up to check.

[Hope the cat staying at home won’t disturb you.]

Opening the lower half, the font was obviously smaller than above.

[I’m filming at the film base all the time. If you want to find me, feel free to contact anytime. Most free after 10 PM.]

Find you for the cat? The cat shouldn’t have any issues.

Duan Xingye fluttered his long lashes lightly, crumpling the note into a ball.

Monday afternoon, when Duan Xingye arrived at work, Sister Yu found him and informed him that All the Way With You needed to do a mid-week interview, which would be interspersed into the next live broadcast.

“Actually not purely an interview,” Sister Yu said. “They hope you can visit the set without informing President Cheng; the interview will be held there.”

Where the interview was held wasn’t important.

Duan Xingye said coldly, “On what grounds do I visit the set? Can’t he come to visit my set?”

“Because the head writer said so.” Sister Yu smiled at him narrowly. “You visiting, the surprise President Cheng shows will be far greater than President Cheng visiting and the surprise you show.”

“…”

All in all, for program effect.

Duan Xingye asked himself honestly. If Cheng Duzhou went to the Singer-Songwriter scene without prior notice to see him, he might be somewhat surprised, but definitely not pleasantly surprised. The result would be a wooden face.

Could only say Cheng Duzhou’s deeply affectionate persona was established too stably; even the head writer trusted him.

Duan Xingye said, “Fine.”

Sister Yu had thought it out long ago, saying, “Free on Thursday, so I’ll arrange it for you.”

Walking to the door, Sister Yu suddenly turned back, winked, and said, “Feel like President Cheng treats you quite well.”

Duan Xingye moved his gaze from the computer, lifting his eyelids: “Do you know why?”

Sister Yu’s eyes lit up, thinking this little ancestor’s iron tree was about to blossom, following up: “Why?”

Duan Xingye said, “Because first of all, I treat myself well enough.”

“…”

The logic wasn’t false; to be loved, one must love oneself first.

But Sister Yu felt he was blurring the focus, opening her mouth: “You…”

Duan Xingye said, “Help me close the door, thanks.”

Sister Yu shook her head speechlessly and left.

Duan Xingye looked at the computer, dragging the page, but his gaze didn’t move.

Gathering the bits and pieces of getting along, one could understand that Cheng Duzhou’s kindness to him wasn’t entirely for show in front of the camera.

It could be confirmed that there was still childhood friendship between them, but compared to Cheng Duzhou’s kindness to him in the past, the current kindness had an added indescribable intimacy.

Thinking about it makes sense. Married, slept together; the scope of care naturally expanded to all aspects.

At this time, Duan Xingye blinked, suddenly thinking of a question.

Say after divorce in the future, could Cheng Duzhou still be this good to him?

“…”

Duan Xingye propped his cheek with one hand, picked up his phone, and looked.

Didn’t scroll to Cheng Duzhou’s name in the message list.

He flipped through again, placing the phone face down on the table.

Forget it.

He didn’t want to contact.

The day before Thursday, Duan Xingye went to the neighboring province to provide guidance to his trainees.

Singer-Songwriter adopted a live broadcast format for every show, but as an idol-training program, the contestants’ creative learning process was also recorded, edited, and uploaded to the platform as program extras.

The practice room at the broadcasting base was large.

Duan Xingye sat on the piano bench with his back to the piano, listening to trainees sing fragments one by one.

Thanks to Duan Xingye’s strict screening standards, the average strength of this group was the strongest. The trainees’ attitudes were also very correct, and the completion of everyone’s new work was high.

After listening to each one, Duan Xingye would express opinions on the lyrics and music themselves as well as the trainee’s expressiveness.

For contestants, those words hit the nail on the head, filling them with admiration and excitement for gaining so much.

The mentor wouldn’t be responsible for helping to change it, only providing direction. Specifically how the performance would be the day after tomorrow depended on the contestant himself.

The last one assessed was Xie Hang.

He brought a pop song integrating hip-hop elements.

Duan Xingye looked at the lyrics first, went through them once, and felt they could pass.

But as Xie Hang started singing, Duan Xingye’s brows gradually furrowed.

Singing to the second measure, he looked up, interrupting directly: “Stop. What’s wrong with you? Grammatical stress swallowed?”

Xie Hang opened his mouth, saying guiltily: “Sorry…”

He also knew his articulation was strange, the key was not knowing where the mistake was.

Duan Xingye grasped the problem directly: “Can’t distinguish Chinese tones?”

Xie Hang covered half his face with paper: “I’m making up lessons.”

Duan Xingye didn’t talk nonsense, turned to face the piano, put the score on the stand, and said, “You follow the accompaniment once.”

Xie Hang shuffled to stand by the piano with small steps.

Duan Xingye played the piano with a score he hadn’t practiced once, deliberately slowing down the beat. During the process, reminding where breath was short, where pronunciation wasn’t full, and correcting several discordant rhythms.

Just like this, after Duan Xingye helped smooth the tune once, Xie Hang’s performance indeed improved greatly.

Then came the second time, also the last time.

Duan Xingye used the song’s own tempo when playing.

However, Xie Hang hadn’t had time to digest the pile of problems from before and still made quite a few mistakes.

Duan Xingye gradually couldn’t control his speaking volume while playing the piano: “Stopped early, extend the sound… Here heavy word light singing, pay attention to the turn, where is your turn?… Use falsetto for high range… Last word is stress, stress, stress! Is it hard!”

Xie Hang trembled.

Duan Xingye hadn’t taught people before. Feeling things as simple as eating and drinking required his repeated reminders was torture and annoying, so his face didn’t look good the whole time.

Xie Hang was actually already afraid but had to concentrate, singing tremblingly.

When training ended, the back of his T-shirt was completely wet.

Duan Xingye put down the piano lid properly. The anger in his expression was gone, recovering indifference like ice and snow.

He often targeted the matter, not the person.

When leaving at the end, he instructed Xie Hang separately: “Practice well.”

Xie Hang blushed: “Thank you, Teacher.”

In Duan Xingye’s view, this was just an unremarkable guidance class.

As a result, when riding back at night, Xiao Dai scrolled through Weibo and suddenly exploded: “How can these people ship everything! Can official couples be broken up blindly! Do they have eyes!”

Xiao Dai being so angry, Lü Ye Shu Huai must have been broken up.

Duan Xingye raised an eyebrow, looking up: “Whose cult?”

Xiao Dai immediately forwarded a Weibo link: “It’s you and your trainee, Teacher Duan.”

Duan Xingye lowered his eyelashes.

Oh.

Then it’s fine.

Xiao Dai continued: “This blogger edited a video using material from Singer-Songwriter audition and today’s class, also containing your ancient costume look from All the Way With You grand movie. Anyway, the heat is quite high. Dying of anger.”

Only part of the caption could be seen in the sent link.

[Cold Beauty Master vs Passionate Little Wolf Dog…]

Duan Xingye wasn’t interested, exiting without opening.

Duan Xingye returned home at night; the cleaning lady had just left.

The kitten was curled up sleeping in the nest, sleeping almost eighteen hours a day.

It had been in this home for three days, feeling very safe.

Passing by, Duan Xingye only glanced into the cat nest and went straight back to his room.

Right at this moment.

Xiao Dai suddenly sent a message, tone very excited.

Xiao Dai: [Teacher Duan! Must watch that Weibo! Must watch! Must!]

Looking at the message that seemed to echo, Duan Xingye was somewhat baffled. Clicking the share link above, he finally saw the complete caption.

Little Scissorhands:

Cold Beauty Master vs Passionate Little Wolf Dog. Although immoral, still couldn’t help shipping. [Heart]

As soon as the video opened, the music of Xuan Ni (Addiction/Drowning) started. The beginning was Duan Xingye’s ancient costume look standing on the boat, later interspersed with clips of him and Xie Hang in Singer-Songwriter, giving a feeling of past and present lives.

Duan Xingye watched less than half and closed it.

Boring. Didn’t know what Xiao Dai wanted him to see.

He then scrolled down to the comments section.

Saw the top comment.

[Cheng Duzhou]: Master has a Daoist companion.

Duan Xingye: “…”

It was the official Weibo account of the person himself.

Posted five minutes ago, likes over ten thousand.

Below was the blogger’s kneeling reply: President Cheng I was wrong, won’t dare next time.

In the comments section, Lü Ye Shu Huai CP fans reveled, screaming “Ahhhhhhhh” for hundreds of floors, shipping crazily.

Duan Xingye looked at the phone, blinking somewhat blankly.

Cheng Duzhou wasn’t an idle person. He rarely posted on his own official blog, let alone wandering around in others’ comment sections.

Plus they hadn’t contacted for a few days. Suddenly seeing Cheng Duzhou’s update in an unknown blogger’s Weibo felt like a corpse revival.

Duan Xingye didn’t get involved in the trending search triggered by Cheng Duzhou online.

Off-work time, refuse to do business.

He took a bath and read the daily prescribed number of pages.

Just as he was about to sleep, Cheng Duzhou called.

It was already 11:30 PM.

Duan Xingye didn’t take off his glasses, sliding into the quilt to lie down before answering. “Hello?”

There was a slight wind sound on Cheng Duzhou’s side; he was outside. His voice was a bit deeper than usual: “Asleep?”

“About to sleep.”

Cheng Duzhou made no sound.

Duan Xingye said, “If nothing, I’m hanging up.”

Breath stopped for a moment in the phone. Cheng Duzhou: “Did you check Weibo?”

Duan Xingye: “Checked.”

“Then why didn’t you contact me?”

“?” Duan Xingye asked, “Why should I contact you?”

Cheng Duzhou’s voice suddenly rose: “You saw my reply, why couldn’t you send me a message to say something?”

Duan Xingye was quiet for a while, calmly saying: “Is there any necessary connection?”

Cheng Duzhou stood at the entrance of the film set at this moment, still wearing a three-piece Republican era suit. After filming spy scenes all day, hairspray couldn’t hold up, and a few strands of hair hung down on his forehead.

He frowned slightly, something trembling in his dark eyes: “Nothing to explain to me?”

Duan Xingye’s dark pupils opened slightly rounder, alert.

Explain?

Only people who did wrong needed to explain.

“You mean me and that kid?” Duan Xingye flipped open half the quilt with a pa, saying, “Then I’ll explain to you now. Just as pure as you and your junior brother, understood?”

Cheng Duzhou choked in his throat, a bit tight: “Insist on making me ask.”

Duan Xingye narrowed his eyes slightly: “Cheng Duzhou, are you looking for trouble?”

Cheng Duzhou suddenly felt anxious, pacing back and forth under the porch light with his head down.

No.

Filming in the crew, he couldn’t find a reason to report. He waited for Duan Xingye for three days, but Duan Xingye didn’t contact him actively. Every time he was free, he checked his phone, but no red dot ever popped up in Duan Xingye’s chat box. Restless because of this, he who never made mistakes NGed twice today. He thought Duan Xingye probably wouldn’t contact him again, couldn’t control going online to find news about the other party, and ended up seeing that CP promotion video. He commented, thinking if Duan Xingye saw it, there would be a reason to chat with him. But no, waited for an hour and nothing.

He called Duan Xingye, but Duan Xingye not only felt no need to explain but also thought he was picking a fight.

Duan Xingye could hear the gradually heavy breathing on the other end of the phone clearly, voice cool: “If nothing else, I’m going to sleep.”

Always like this. Cheng Duzhou said angrily: “I was almost traumatized to death by that video, okay!”

“…”

Duan Xingye was sluggish, but without thinking, a crimson blush spread rapidly across his small face, and a warm current seemed to surge into his heart.

Only then did he understand Cheng Duzhou’s abnormal behavior tonight, and seemed to hear something else from Cheng Duzhou’s angry voice.

At the entrance of the film set, the Republican ace spy squatted on the ground, almost crying from anger: “Sleep sleep sleep, only know how to sleep. Won’t you coax me?”

“…”

Duan Xingye’s breath stopped, feeling numbness from the roots of his ears to his heart, burning from his face to his limbs.

Motherfucker…

Don’t be like this.

Never thought Cheng Duzhou would be aggrieved into such a dog-like state because of a video, and felt extremely unadapted.

Duan Xingye almost twisted into a pretzel on the bed. Ticklish numbness in the cracks of his bones, yet couldn’t straighten out or unfold no matter what.

He was truly defeated by this person.

Author’s Note:

President Cheng: People who can resist petting a cat upon seeing one are indeed hard-hearted.

Teacher Duan: My hands are also ruthless/spicy, try me.

  1. honestly, i get it, it’s cute. but man, i feel sorry for Cheng Duzhou sometimes. it seems like doesn’t matter what he does, in Duan Xingye’s eyes, all of it is fake. it’s getting better than the first chapter, but if this is real life, they would divorce sooner than the mentioned 2 years.
