PE Ch5: Flowers can only be given to me
Huai Yu retracted his hand and let go of Pan Yinchuan’s pocket.
He started walking forward, and Pan Yinchuan naturally followed.
Walking through the fragrant hall to the smaller back hall, what came into view were several Omegas.
Yes, Omegas, easily recognizable, slender and delicate Omegas, both male and female.
Huai Yu said, “Go play.”
His tone was almost like coaxing a child.
Pan Yinchuan instantly understood that these Omegas were definitely the companions brought by other Alphas, the so-called “wives’ group.”
He was the only odd one out among them.
But Huai Yu’s expression didn’t change, as if he didn’t see any problem with this at all.
One Alpha couldn’t help but say, “Mr. Huai, isn’t this a bit inappropriate?”
Huai Yu concisely said, “What’s there to be afraid of? He can’t mark your people.”
The Alphas immediately fell silent.
Pan Yinchuan: “…” Feeling quite humiliated.
“Go play,” Huai Yu repeated.
Pan Yinchuan still couldn’t move.
He had never seen so many Omegas gathered together, how…to play? He had never learned this growing up!
Seeing him stand still for a long time, Huai Yu thought he might be clingy.
But Huai Yu had no intention of staying with him.
He didn’t like clingy lovers.
Huai Yu acted as if he didn’t see Pan Yinchuan’s stiffness and turned away ruthlessly. The other Alphas, like his personal accessories, followed him away quickly.
The small space instantly became quiet, with no one speaking. The Omegas silently observed Pan Yinchuan, their eyes full of shock.
Pan Yinchuan exhaled softly and walked over slowly. They immediately moved, making space in the middle for Pan Yinchuan.
As soon as Pan Yinchuan sat down, his natural straight-guy awkwardness surfaced, making him blush.
So many… Omegas.
It was like the beautiful people in the posters had come to life and surrounded him.
The atmosphere was tense and awkward, very awkward.
“Um… how about I show you a magic trick?” Pan Yinchuan could only resort to something he learned in the KTV during his high school graduation party.
“Hmm.” A young Omega nodded slightly.
Seeing someone showing interest, even if it was just one person, Pan Yinchuan felt relieved.
“Do you have playing cards?” he asked.
“Go get them,” the Omega instructed a waiter.
Huai Yu sat not far away, the Alpha in front of him awkwardly smiling and saying, “I thought Mr. Huai was joking before, but it turns out you really don’t like Omegas.”
Who in this world doesn’t like Omegas?
They really couldn’t understand.
Other Alphas also showed signs of disappointment. No wonder their flattery never hit the mark before; they had been flattering the wrong thing.
Huai Yu’s expression remained unchanged as he took a sip of his drink, “Unique taste, pardon me.”
Who dared to laugh?
They could only think that no wonder he was so powerful; even his tastes were so peculiar.
At this moment, there was a sudden “wow” from the Omegas.
Everyone instinctively turned to look, seeing the Beta youth surrounded by the others, his figure obscured, only showing a slender neck, a clear face, and a hand raised high.
Between his fingers was a card. The card was black, with characters printed in red, making his hand look very fair.
For some reason, seeing him, people couldn’t help but think of one word — clean.
He looked so clean.
It was a strange description, but the feeling it gave was exactly like that.
“What is this…”
“Magic trick?”
“Young Mr. Pan can do this too?”
The Alphas were all talking at once, their expressions varied. They thought to themselves that this Beta seemed to not understand his own status. Performing in public was something only those of low status would do.
Although the status of a Beta was indeed not high, he was now representing Huai Yu’s face.
Doing this was inappropriate.
While the Alphas thought this way, the Omegas, on the other hand, found it very novel.
Someone couldn’t help but tug at Pan Yinchuan’s hand: “How did you do it? How did the Ace of Spades turn into the King of Hearts?”
Pan Yinchuan had never been the focus of so much attention. He smiled awkwardly and said, “It’s actually just a sleight of hand.”
“Sleight of hand?”
“Yes, do you want me to teach you?”
A light flickered in the Omega’s eyes but quickly dimmed again. He shook his head and said, “I can’t learn it.”
Pan Yinchuan instinctively asked, “Why not?”
The Omega said, “I can only learn elegant things.” He quickly explained, “I didn’t mean to say you’re not elegant.”
After all, he was someone Mr. Huai had brought out into the open, and no one here wanted to offend him.
Pan Yinchuan didn’t think much of himself.
After all, he was just a muddle-headed lover who had started the job without understanding it. Before this, he was still a prisoner in Nantasi.
He said, “It’s okay, I can do another trick. Do you want to see it?”
The Omega couldn’t hide his eagerness: “Yes, yes.”
“Mr. Xiu is here.” Someone on the other side said.
Mr. Xiu was Xiu Ling’s father, his full name was Xiu Liang. In such a position, wielding both military and political power, people didn’t call him by his official title but preferred to address him as Mr. So-and-So.
Xiu Liang, with his military demeanor and vigorous steps, quickly arrived in front of Huai Yu.
“Thank you for the trouble of personally bringing my boy out. It’s all because those damned bastards in Nantasi didn’t respect me.” As he spoke, Xiu Liang wanted to shake hands with Huai Yu.
But halfway through, he withdrew his hand and smiled, “I almost forgot your habit.”
Huai Yu didn’t like any Alpha touching his skin.
Because of this quirk, he even kept a few Beta doctors, spending money to send them to the highest-level universities to study medicine. This was to avoid a situation where if he got sick and an Alpha doctor touched him, he might kill the person.
“Where’s Xiu Ling?” Xiu Liang looked around, concerned about his sickly son.
The people nearby looked a bit awkward, but Huai Yu, with his usual expression, said, “I had someone take him to rest.”
“Really, thank you so much.” Xiu Liang first sincerely thanked him, then started scolding his son, “That wretched boy, doesn’t he understand his own situation? Still messing around outside… I’ll go deal with him first, everyone, please excuse me.”
Although Xiu Liang said this, he was actually eager to see his son and immediately turned to leave.
Everyone knew Xiu Ling’s character and knew he would most likely complain to his father. Not about Mr. Huai, of course, but about Mr. Huai’s little lover.
“Shall I have someone accompany young Mr. Pan to the garden to play?” Someone with a clever mind spoke up, aiming to avoid Xiu Liang.
The Omegas were still completely unaware of what was happening, engrossed in watching the magic trick.
Huai Yu glanced around casually, then stood up and said, “No need.”
He walked over.
The others exchanged glances but didn’t dare follow.
As Huai Yu approached, Pan Yinchuan was just performing a flower trick for a little Omega.
“It’s a blue iris.” The little Omega exclaimed, “It’s still dewy! How did you do it?”
Just as Pan Yinchuan was about to speak, he noticed the expressions on the faces of the others had frozen.
He quickly looked around: “Mr. Huai?”
“Come with me,” Huai Yu said succinctly.
“Oh, okay.” Pan Yinchuan didn’t feel anything was wrong, just noticed that the Omegas around seemed a bit scared, shrinking their heads.
Huai Yu led him to the elevator. It was extremely quiet inside, and Pan Yinchuan could feel Mr. Huai’s scrutinizing gaze.
Did I… do something wrong?
Wasn’t I told to play?
Played incorrectly?
I don’t know anything else.
This job is too hard!
Pan Yinchuan’s mind was filled with countless thoughts. At this moment, the elevator dinged and the doors opened.
As if afraid he might not follow, Mr. Huai placed a hand on his back in an irrefutable manner, swiping a card to enter a suite.
The door slowly closed and locked automatically with a click, echoing like a knock on Pan Yinchuan’s heart. He unconsciously swallowed and belatedly began to feel nervous.
Huai Yu’s expression remained unchanged as he once again reached into Pan Yinchuan’s pocket.
“Mr. Huai…” Pan Yinchuan stammered.
“What? I can’t look?” Huai Yu raised an eyebrow.
Pan Yinchuan, somewhat resigned to his fate, said, “Go ahead, look.”
Huai Yu deftly pulled something out from the pocket… it wasn’t the flower he had brought. No, it was—
“My gloves?” Huai Yu vaguely recognized the crumpled object.
Pan Yinchuan hung his head, weakly nodding, wishing he could find a hole to crawl into.
“I just wanted to…”
“So, you like this?” Huai Yu immediately spoke up.
Pan Yinchuan’s voice stopped in his throat. He opened his mouth, trying to defend himself, “No, I don’t, I…”
“This thing is dirty.” As Huai Yu spoke, he casually tossed it into a nearby trash can, which landed with a dull thud.
Pan Yinchuan sighed in relief.
Fortunately, Mr. Huai didn’t think he was a pervert.
Huai Yu turned to the telephone, picked up the receiver, and called the hotel service department, “Send up a pair of gloves.” He paused, glanced at Pan Yinchuan with emotionless eyes, and added, “Make them white.”
Pan Yinchuan:!
His throat tightened, and he spoke again, “Mr. Huai, I…”
“Sit.” Huai Yu nodded towards him, in a relaxed posture.
Pan Yinchuan could only sit down on the sofa opposite.
“Where did the flowers come from?” Huai Yu’s voice rang out again. His tone wasn’t actually cold; when he spoke calmly and deliberately, he seemed rather refined.
“There’s a vase behind the sofa in the lobby downstairs, with blue irises and double-flowered daffodils. That’s where the flowers came from,” Pan Yinchuan honestly replied.
He certainly couldn’t conjure flowers out of thin air; he simply transferred the ones that should have been in the vase into his own hands.
Huai Yu asked, “Apart from the blue irises, did you pick the daffodils too?”
“I did.” Pan Yinchuan immediately held out his hand, pinching a gracefully colored, gradually shifting double-flowered daffodil between his fingers.
He couldn’t help but ask cautiously, “Was I not supposed to pick them? Do I need to compensate the hotel?”
Huai Yu held out his hand, “Give it to me.”
Pan Yinchuan obediently handed over the daffodil.
Huai Yu took it, glanced at it briefly, then closed his hand into a fist, crumpling the petals into a ball, and casually tossed it into the trash can.
Pan Yinchuan’s heart jumped into his throat.
Was he angry?
“I don’t care what kind of occasion you’re in or what kind of magic you perform… Only flowers are meant to be given to me, understand?” Huai Yu’s tone was mild.
Clearly, this wasn’t jealousy.
It was simply dissatisfaction with Pan Yinchuan’s lack of professionalism as an employee.
“Understood.” Pan Yinchuan nodded nervously.
Just then, the doorbell rang.
“Mr. Huai, your items have arrived,” the waiter’s voice sounded nervous.
“Go open the door,” Huai Yu instructed him.
“Oh, okay.”
The door opened, and the waiter hesitated, then handed a tray to Pan Yinchuan.
On it was a golden plate, and on the plate rested a pair of white silk gloves.
Why does this hotel have everything weird?
Pan Yinchuan gripped the edge of the tray tightly, trying to ignore the waiter’s strange look, and nervously returned to Huai Yu’s side.
Huai Yu’s hand hung on the sofa armrest, relaxed. He said, “Put them on for me.”
Pan Yinchuan’s mind exploded like a fireball.
He took a deep breath, picked up the new gloves, carefully cradled Huai Yu’s wrist in his hands. His body temperature was scorching, making him feel as if he was putting something else on Mr. Huai’s hand…
Not gloves.
Something else.
Pan Yinchuan suppressed the pounding of his heart like a drumbeat, finally managing to wrap the elegant and powerful hands in the gloves.
“There we go.” Pan Yinchuan’s voice had just fallen, and suddenly, the open fingers suddenly tightened, grabbing his wrist and pulling him sharply—
When he regained his senses, Pan Yinchuan found himself pressed down onto the sofa.
The hand that had put on the gloves grabbed his chin.
Pan Yinchuan’s heart rate accelerated even more, but he had to lift his head and meet Mr. Huai’s cold eyes head-on.
Pan Yinchuan didn’t really think he was handsome, not even to the extent that top Alphas would be tempted by his “beauty.”
But Mr. Huai’s gaze lingered on his face.
Then his fingers probed into his soft mouth.
This is on the outside…
Pan Yinchuan’s pitiful remnants of shame emitted a soundless scream in his chest.
After an unknown amount of time, Xiu Liang finally returned to the lobby with Xiu Ling.
Xiu Ling’s earlier frenzy had completely disappeared; he appeared calm, with even a hint of a smile at the corner of his mouth.
His father Xiu Liang wore an even warmer smile. Showing no signs of annoyance, he asked, “Where’s Mr. Huai?”
The waiter replied, “Mr. Huai has left.”
Xiu Liang looked regretful, “Already left?”
Xiu Ling quickly said, “Then we’ll visit him tomorrow.”
In the suite on the eighth floor.
The new gloves were also thrown into the trash can.
This time they were even wetter.
“It’s getting late.” Pan Yinchuan heard Huai Yu’s voice faintly in his daze.
Soon after came the sound of the door closing and the receding footsteps.
Huai Yu left alone for the eighth floor.
The Alphas hadn’t completely dispersed yet; one of them, upon seeing him, immediately showed surprise, “Mr. Huai!”
Huai Yu stared at him for a moment, then spoke gently, “Don’t mistreat your lover like that. In the future, let them go out more, go to the theater to watch some magic tricks. Don’t come to see me.”
Is that a bit of jealousy I heard???

Right 😳
