PE Ch48: Spitting blood due to anger?
The bathroom suddenly fell into a long silence.
Pan Yinchuan was internally shaken, unable to continue the conversation, until Huai Yu picked him up and said, “Sit here and cool down.”
After placing him on the bed, Alpha made an internal call and had the governor’s housekeeper bring up some clothes.
Half a minute later, Huai Yu hung up the phone and turned to gaze at Pan Yinchuan for a few seconds.
Pan Yinchuan was soaked through, his hair and shirt clinging tightly to his skin. Huai Yu’s gaze softened slightly as he grabbed a large blanket and wrapped him up.
“Are you cold?” Huai Yu asked.
Pan Yinchuan shook his head, his mind a jumble. He looked at Huai Yu and suddenly blurted out, “Do you… want to rinse your mouth?”
Huai Yu bent down slightly, took Pan Yinchuan’s hand, and calmly wiped his mouth.
Pan Yinchuan suddenly felt his fingertips heat up.
Although they had already been intimate countless times at negative distances, it seemed different this time.
It felt like there was an even more intimate illusion.
The doorbell suddenly rang, and Huai Yu turned and opened the door. The servant delivering clothes couldn’t even step inside before Huai Yu took charge of everything.
“Change into these,” Huai Yu placed the new clothes by Pan Yinchuan’s feet.
But he paused for a moment, not immediately straightening up, and asked, “Do you have the energy?”
Otherwise, would you like me to help you get dressed?
“I have the energy,” he quickly responded.
Even though he still felt a lingering sensation of softness and numbness in his spine.
Huai Yu nodded without comment, straightened up, and walked back to the bathroom alone.
The sound of the shower resumed.
But Alpha stayed inside for a long time.
By the time Pan Yinchuan had changed into the new clothes, Huai Yu still hadn’t come out.
Pan Yinchuan was stunned for a moment, and a sudden suspicion popped into his mind… He slowly turned his gaze. The bathroom glass here was fogged, completely opaque. But when light shone through from inside the bathroom, it cast the silhouette of a person on the glass wall.
He saw Huai Yu… pleasuring himself.
A surge of fire shot up from the soles of Pan Yinchuan’s feet.
He was a Beta, and Huai Yu had taken suppressants.
Yet he felt a slight dizziness, as if influenced by some kind of pheromone.
It was a very strange feeling.
He walked out wearing slippers.
Pushing open the door, the outside temperature hit him, clearing his head a little.
Where did that strange feeling come from… he thought, perhaps because he had once again confirmed, yes, he did have that “key” in his grasp.
As Pan Yinchuan descended the stairs, the governor was nearly unable to restrain those two.
Mainly Lin Shaoyan.
Lin Shaoyan didn’t even give face to Yan Xue, let alone the governor, whom he obviously disdained.
“Is Pan Yinchuan really just tired? Nothing else has happened?” Lin Shaoyan’s brows furrowed, as if he wanted to lift the governor up and interrogate him.
Pan Yinchuan deliberately made his footsteps heavier.
The others heard the sound and immediately turned to look.
Pan Yinchuan moved his lips, about to utter the excuse he had prepared in advance.
But both Lin Shaoyan and Jian Yan suddenly changed their expressions at the same time, “Why did you change your clothes?”
Pan Yinchuan tried to act nonchalant, “They got dirty, so I changed.”
Jian Yan, experienced in such matters, narrowed his pupils and asked, “Who got them dirty?”
The others looked at him strangely when they heard him question.
After all, normal people wouldn’t connect the dots here.
“The soup spilled,” Pan Yinchuan said, feeling his excuse lacked impact, so he added hastily, “What do you think?”
Jian Yan choked up, evidently deciding not to press further.
But Pan Yinchuan felt his words sounded like classic lines from a cheating scumbag.
But, indeed, it seemed quite effective!
“Alright, Mr. Pan, please continue to sit and enjoy your meal…” the governor interjected to diffuse the tension.
However, Lin Shaoyan had another question, “Where did you just go?”
Actually, both he and Jian Yan suspected that Huai Yu might be here! So they behaved cautiously and nervously.
Pan Yinchuan glanced at Lin Shaoyan and quietly sighed in relief.
Well, since scumbag excuses were so effective.
With a straight face, he said, “Why do you think I walked away? I don’t like noise, I just want to eat peacefully.”
Lin Shaoyan slumped his shoulders and immediately backed down, sitting back down, “Sorry, but Jian Yan was the one causing the noise.”
Jian Yan: “…”
Damn green tea.
“Let’s eat seriously now, no more talking,” Pan Yinchuan continued, with quite an imposing tone.
But he felt more like a kindergarten teacher at the moment.
After finishing their meal, they bid farewell to the governor.
Upstairs.
Huai Yu walked out in a bath towel, finding the room empty.
A hint of irritability flashed in his eyes but was quickly suppressed.
“Don’t like it?” he asked.
It was the first time Alpha had done something like this for someone else.
He reflected for a moment if his skills were inadequate.
Did he need to learn more?
That evening, everyone’s mood was somewhat off.
Except for Pan Yinchuan, who seemed strangely okay.
In the suite’s small bedroom, the uncle and nephew chatted quietly. The boss spoke first, “Those two competitors of yours, neither of them seem like good characters.”
“Pan doesn’t like them, so whether they’re good characters doesn’t matter anymore.”
“One graduated from Haigu Military Academy, the other is a devoted Omega… Pan doesn’t like either of them. They’re both quite fierce characters, but Pan still manages to keep them in line. I didn’t expect him to be so strong-willed.” The boss spoke with a hint of admiration, feeling more and more like he did on the first day he met Pan Yinchuan.
“I see it’s difficult for you too,” the boss glanced at his nephew.
Yu Tong didn’t agree, “Their way of courting him is wrong. Seeking Pan’s favor through weakness won’t work. They need someone more decisive, older, and broader-minded to catch his attention. Pan isn’t that strong-willed, I find him quite cute when he scolds them.”
“But it’s strange that Pan suddenly changed his clothes.”
The boss clicked his tongue, “He said he doesn’t have a boyfriend, not that he doesn’t have a girlfriend.”
“Even if he did, it wouldn’t matter.”
The boss immediately warned him, “How come you still have this problem? Be careful not to offend the wrong people!”
Yu Tong smiled and asked back, “A project worth billions a year, Uncle, don’t you like it? If you do, you should keep it.”
—
Afterward, Yu Tong continued to subtly offer his attentiveness, which continued upon their return to Jiuhe City.
When Pan Yinchuan went to work, Yu Tong would bring him breakfast, buy him fruits, milk tea, and snacks during work. They were all small things, not easily refused.
Pan Yinchuan had just taken a bag of small pineapples when his phone rang.
“Hello?”
“I’m downstairs at your company,” Huai Yu’s voice came through.
Pan Yinchuan’s scalp tingled instantly… Oh no, could it be… Is he really coming as the third party?
Before Pan Yinchuan could respond, Huai Yu continued, “Should I come up, or are you coming down?”
Pan Yinchuan instinctively wanted to say “I’ll come down,” but as the words reached his lips, he realized things weren’t the same now as they used to be!
Summoning his courage, he countered, “What if I don’t come down, and I don’t let you come up either?”
Huai Yu paused briefly, then said in a calm tone, “Then I’ll wait for you to finish work,” unusually accommodating.
“If I don’t see you after work?”
“I’ll come tomorrow.”
He hung up on Huai Yu.
Is Mr. Huai angry on the other end? But he’s angry and has to endure it?
Pan Yinchuan pinched his fingertips. Hmm, well, he was kind of enjoying this feeling of being a bad guy.
Sitting there for a while, he forgot to even eat the small pineapples.
Yu Tong sat at his nearby workstation, glanced in his direction, feeling Pan Yinchuan’s thoughts seemed to be drifting far away.
After a while, Pan Yinchuan took the initiative to call Huai Yu.
The call was answered promptly.
Pan Yinchuan directly asked him, “Is there something you need here?”
“I brought something for you, maybe you’ll be interested.”
“What is it?”
There was silence on the other end.
Pan Yinchuan wrinkled his nose and whispered, “Huai Yu…”
“Would you like to see it in person?” Huai Yu finally spoke, his tone gentle.
Was this a way to hook him?
Pan Yinchuan thought for a moment but couldn’t imagine what Huai Yu might have that would interest him.
He licked his lips and said, “I think I won’t look.”
Then he hung up on Huai Yu.
This time, Huai Yu called back.
“Don’t be angry, I’m heading upstairs now. You just need to walk to the emergency exit, and you’ll see it.” Huai Yu reassured him in a low voice.
What exactly was it? It must be something he wanted him to see.
Pan Yinchuan responded with a quick “Okay.”
He lingered in his chair for a moment before slowly walking out, finding the emergency door at the end of the corridor and pushing it open.
Sure enough, Huai Yu was already waiting there.
“Manager Yu? Where are you going?” His assistant exclaimed in surprise. “I just brought some documents over. Have a look…”
Yu Tong said, “I’ll take a look in a moment.”
Then he followed to the emergency exit.
The emergency exit was already closed.
Pan Yinchuan leaned against the door, looking at Mr. Huai who still appeared neat and tidy.
Huai Yu handed over a folder. “Take a look?”
Pan Yinchuan opened it, and inside was Yu Tong’s personal information.
Huai Yu’s tone was neither warm nor cold, devoid of any obvious emotion as he said, “Are you planning to date this person? I gathered some information about him for you. You should know about someone’s background and character before getting involved.”
“You…” Pan Yinchuan stood there in surprise.
Despite all of Huai Yu’s talk about being a “third party,” he hadn’t expected Huai Yu to go this far.
Huai Yu stared intently at his expression, slightly lowering his head and leaning in closer.
Alpha lowered his voice and asked, “Have I been accommodating enough?”
At the mention of “accommodating,” Pan Yinchuan couldn’t help but make some unpleasant associations.
He frowned and interjected, “Stop talking.”
But Huai Yu persisted in a low voice, “Don’t like it?”
Pan Yinchuan swiftly raised his hand to cover Huai Yu’s mouth but instead slapped his chin lightly, akin to slapping an Alpha across the face. The sudden slap left them both momentarily stunned.
Huai Yu immediately grasped his wrist.
Pan Yinchuan pursed his lips.
Is he angry?
Huai Yu firmly rubbed his wrist back and forth, then released it, saying, “Scroll down, there’s something else inside.”
Pan Yinchuan withdrew his hand and flipped through a few pages, finding a cassette tape attached at the back.
“What’s this?”
“Listen to it,” Huai Yu gestured.
Pan Yinchuan frowned, “I don’t have a player to play it.”
“Go to the car? There’s a car stereo in there,” Huai Yu suggested thoughtfully.
Pan Yinchuan stared at him.
He looked back at Pan Yinchuan.
Their gazes communicated silently yet intensely.
The trap he set is waiting here!
But Pan Yinchuan also figured that this cassette tape must be related to Yu Tong. For Huai Yu to personally deliver it, there must be something significant recorded on it.
Outside the exit.
Yu Tong stood there, feeling tense.
The man’s voice sounded somewhat familiar… But why did it sound familiar? Have they met before? Is this person Pan Yinchuan’s relative?
Indeed, Xiao Pan’s background is quite extraordinary to mobilize people so quickly to obtain his information.
Due to the suppressants, Yu Tong completely overlooked the fact that the person standing on the other side was his “idol,” Mr. Huai.
Inside the emergency corridor.
“Let’s go,” Pan Yinchuan couldn’t help but be piqued by curiosity. However, just following like this wouldn’t do… He glanced down and realized he still had the bag of small pineapples in his hand.
He offered them, asking, “Want one? Yu Tong bought them.”
Huai Yu’s expression froze for a moment, intense hostility vanishing as quickly as it appeared.
He reached out and took it, saying, “Alright.”
With a strong sense of self-control, Alpha didn’t let himself crumple the situation into a mess.
A black armored vehicle was parked in the underground parking lot.
Pan Yinchuan descended and followed Huai Yu into the car, noticing there was no one else besides them.
“No driver or bodyguards?” Pan Yinchuan was taken aback.
“It’s not appropriate when there are too many people involved in a clandestine affair.”
“Cough, cough, cough…” Pan Yinchuan choked on his own saliva. He thought to himself, plotting to turn the situation around. After thinking it over, he turned to Huai Yu and urged, “Why don’t you have a pineapple?”
If Yu Tong bought them, seeing Huai Yu eat one would surely infuriate him.
“…Alright.” Huai Yu responded calmly, taking a bite.
Then he asked, “Have you eaten yours?”
“Not yet.” Pan Yinchuan replied, thinking he might as well reach out and take one too.
The pineapples were already peeled.
As Pan Yinchuan was about to reach out, Huai Yu suddenly pressed down on the back of his hand, swiftly pivoting to firmly press Pan Yinchuan back into the seat.
Lowering his head, Alpha forcefully pried open his lips and teeth, kissing him intensely and entangling him. The sweet and sour taste of pineapple immediately stimulated their taste buds.
After a moment, Huai Yu released him and asked, “Is the pineapple tasty?”
“…Not good.” Pan Yinchuan ground his teeth.
“I think it’s good.” Huai Yu said, but his gaze remained fixed on Pan Yinchuan’s lips.
“Mr. Huai, even if you’re a third party, you can’t just do this. You can’t kiss me.” Pan Yinchuan frowned, setting boundaries once again.
Huai Yu closed his eyes briefly.
He had never thought that just a kiss could soothe an Alpha’s turbulent emotions for such a long time.
Huai Yu moved his lips, his tone gentle, after feeling satisfied, “Alright, next time I…”
Before he could finish his sentence, his face suddenly changed slightly. He gripped the steering wheel tightly, veins popping on the back of his hand.
He spat out blood.
Pan Yinchuan was stunned.
Did not allowing a kiss really… make him spit blood?
