“Can I open my eyes now?”

Hearing Jian Yuanbai and the other woman exchanging words he couldn’t understand, Tang Tang felt a bit stifled for some reason.

His interruption drew both their attention to him, naturally ending their conversation.

Jian Yuanbai used his foot to hook up the bedsheet on the ground, kicking it onto the man with disdain to cover up his pile of fat, before finally releasing the hand that had been covering Tang Tang’s eyes.

Before Tang Tang could open his eyes, the female ghost with rotting flesh and gaping legs on the bed instantly dissipated.

Yin Lengchun witnessed this scene, and her gaze toward Jian Yuanbai unconsciously carried a trace of curiosity.

Exorcising a ghost without self-awareness wasn’t difficult, but what caught Yin Lengchun’s attention was that she hadn’t noticed how Jian Yuanbai made his move at all.

She silently noted it but didn’t ask, instead turning to Tang Tang and asking, “Tell me what you know.”

Tang Tang glanced at Jian Yuanbai, then at Yin Lengchun. “What are you talking about? Aren’t you a Qingnian?”

“I know, and you should know too.”

Yin Lengchun hadn’t had her memories altered because of the protection passed down through the Yin family, but she was unaware of what a Qingnian was supposed to know. “I’m not a Qingnian. Something has gone wrong here. You must tell me what happened.”

Tang Tang: “You’re also a Celestial Master, huh?”

As he said this, he glanced at Jian Yuanbai again, his lips curving downward unconsciously. “All Celestial Masters…”

Before Yin Lengchun could respond, Tang Tang continued, “Actually, as long as you stick to your bottom line here, it won’t be too dangerous.”

“As long as the chips are gone…”

Suddenly, a pair of black hands emerged from behind him, clasping over Tang Tang’s face and pulling him directly into the wall.

Jian Yuanbai’s face instantly darkened. He stared at the wall that had returned to normal and sneered without humor.

It was the first time someone had snatched a person right under his nose.

At the same time Tang Tang disappeared, a ghostly figure appeared in the room. Her pale, shriveled face seemed to be smiling as she reached out toward Jian Yuanbai in an embrace, her mouth filled with lustful panting.

Jian Yuanbai turned his head, avoiding the ghost’s touch. As he brushed past her, the ghost disintegrated into gray smoke.

Yin Lengchun froze for a moment. “What do we do? Where do we find him?”

She received no response, as Jian Yuanbai was already striding out of the room, leaving only his back to her.

Yin Lengchun let out a sigh and hurriedly followed.

Just as they left, Qiu Leshan emerged from another room down the hallway, looking frustrated and hesitant.

According to the rules, he had chosen a Qingnian named Xin’er to gather information about his missing brother in the storyline.

However, after fulfilling the agreement, Xin’er said, “The person you’re looking for has gone to another place.”

“I can’t tell you where that place is, but you can choose whether to go there. Just spend all your chips, and you’ll end up in the same place as him.”

Xin’er smiled sweetly and seductively, “Maybe you’ll even reunite there.”

Qiu Leshan understood that this was likely one of the two choices within the plot, but for some reason, he felt a strong resistance toward the idea of spending all his chips.

Since staying in the room with Xin’er was pointless, he decided to leave and search for other clues.

As he passed a room with a door slightly ajar, Qiu Leshan curiously peeked inside but saw nothing. Feeling awkward about pushing the door open, he decided to explore other areas of the hotel.

He avoided the elevator and took the stairs, unexpectedly running into two girls who were also part of the script-killing game.

“Hey,” Qiu Leshan scratched his head. Realizing he hadn’t remembered their names, he awkwardly laughed, “I haven’t had the chance to talk to you two yet.”

“Have you found any clues?”

To his surprise, the two girls immediately burst into tears, crying so pitifully that Qiu Leshan panicked.

Qiu Leshan: “Why are you crying?”

“Don’t cry, don’t cry. What happened?”

Frantically searching his pockets for tissues, he found nothing and became even more flustered. “Just tell me what happened. Did someone bully you?”

One of the shorter girls grabbed Qiu Leshan’s hand, “Guest, it’s about to be the third day, and I don’t have a single chip left.”

“If this continues, I’ll definitely be punished.”

She looked weak and helpless. “Since you just came out of the room, was that Qingnian unsatisfactory?”

“Pick me instead.” The girl pressed her body against Qiu Leshan. “I can do anything for you, guest.”

The other girl also leaned in, “Pick me too, guest. I’ll do anything for you as well.”

Qiu Leshan’s face turned red as he tried to push them away, but he didn’t know where to grab them because they were dressed so provocatively. He could barely form words, “Y-you… If you need chips, just tell us!”

“We’re all here to play the game. As long as we confirm we’re on the same team or share the same goal…”

“Guest.” The shorter girl, with tears in her eyes, hooked her hand around Qiu Leshan’s belt and looked at him with a pleading expression. “I really can do anything.”

It was only then that Qiu Leshan sensed something was off.

It was just a script-killing game, right? Was it really necessary to go this far?

When playing a script-killing game, it’s normal to feel a bit awkward or embarrassed when acting out certain scenes. People usually just muddle through it. But the expressions and demeanor of these two girls showed no trace of reluctance or embarrassment — only genuine fear for their future as “Qingniang.”

It felt too real.

Qiu Leshan somehow found his voice again and asked, “By the way, I forgot your names. Could you tell me again?”

“And I’ll reintroduce myself too,” he said, scratching his head awkwardly. “I’m Qiu Leshan. Qiu as in the ‘hill’ with the double ear radical, Le as in ‘happiness,’ and Shan as in ‘mountain.’”

The shorter girl leaned weakly against Qiu Leshan’s shoulder and said softly, “My name is Qian’er.”

The other girl added, “I’m Qing Jiu’er.”

In that moment, Qiu Leshan felt like he’d fallen into an icy abyss.

He stared deeply at the two girls in front of him for a long time before silently pulling out two chips and handing one to each of them. “Can you wait here for me?”

“No,” Qiu Leshan hesitated for a moment. “Actually… follow me.”

Qian’er and Qing Jiu’er happily accepted the chips and obediently followed behind Qiu Leshan.

When he knocked on Wang Songwen’s door, Qiu Leshan’s mind was filled with chaotic thoughts—wondering what was wrong with the two girls, what was happening in this eerie hotel, and what kind of script they had fallen into.

But no matter how hard he knocked, Wang Songwen’s door wouldn’t open.

The anxiety in his heart was reaching its peak when the door to the adjacent room suddenly opened.

Liu Hong peeked out with a confused look. “Qiu Leshan?”

“What are you doing knocking on doors in the middle of the night?”

Qiu Leshan froze. “You… were sleeping?”

Liu Hong yawned. “It’s nighttime. Of course, I’m sleeping.”

It was nighttime, but in a script-killing game, wasn’t nighttime just a brief scene transition that only lasted ten minutes or so?

But looking at Liu Hong’s drowsy face, Qiu Leshan realized this was different. She had genuinely fallen asleep.

For the first time, Qiu Leshan felt an eerie sense of time distortion. How long had they been trapped in this game?

Without a phone to check the time, Qiu Leshan could only rely on his own sense of hunger — but strangely, he didn’t feel hungry at all.

Qiu Leshan stared at Liu Hong seriously and asked, “Do you still remember why we came here?”

Liu Hong blinked. “Of course. For the script-killing game. What’s wrong with you?”

She glanced at the two girls behind Qiu Leshan and frowned, “Wait, Qian’er, Qing Jiu’er, why are you two with him?”

“Do you want to come inside and talk?” Liu Hong pointed to her room. “My sister Liu Zhuqing is here too.”

Qiu Leshan let out a sigh of relief. But when he looked back at Wang Songwen’s door that refused to open, he couldn’t fully relax.

“Do you have something heavy? I want to break this door down.”

Liu Hong was startled. “Isn’t that a bit too much?”

But Qiu Leshan was already overwhelmed with anxiety. He took a deep breath, took a few steps back, then charged forward and slammed his shoulder into the door.

The door shook but didn’t open.

He then raised his foot and kicked the doorknob with all his strength. One kick, two kicks, three kicks…

With a loud bang, the door finally broke open.

“Wang Songwen!”

Qiu Leshan rushed inside and saw Wang Songwen lying on the bed with disheveled clothes. He dashed over and shook Wang Songwen violently. “Wang Songwen! Wake up! Wake up!”

In desperation, Qiu Leshan slapped him hard across the face.

“F*ck…” Wang Songwen cursed in a daze as he opened his eyes. “Who hit me?”

Qiu Leshan ignored the question and asked urgently, “Do you remember why we came here?”

Wang Songwen, still half-asleep, mumbled, “What are you talking about? Of course I remember.”

Qiu Leshan finally felt a little relieved… until Wang Songwen grinned and added, “We’re here to indulge in pleasure, right? To taste the finest ‘Qingniang.’”

In that instant, Qiu Leshan’s heart sank to the bottom.

“Stop joking around. I’m serious. Why did we come here?”

Qiu Leshan’s face darkened, his tone full of seriousness. “Do you remember who these two are?”

Wang Songwen stopped smiling but replied, “What’s wrong with you? We’re here to experience the vibe of this ‘Fengqing Hotel.’”

“Oh…” Wang Songwen dragged out his words and laughed slyly. “You’re not satisfied with the Qingniang you chose?”

“Then why bring so many over here? Let me help you pick one.”

Qiu Leshan’s heart pounded wildly in his chest. The fear, confusion, and panic inside him were surging uncontrollably.

“We have to leave. We have to leave this place.”

“When?” Wang Songwen said lazily. “At least wait until we’ve chosen the most beautiful Qingniang, right?”

“Right now.”

Wang Songwen frowned. “Come on, let’s stay one more day. I haven’t spent enough time with my ‘Qing Shiyi’ yet.”

Qiu Leshan suddenly grabbed Wang Songwen by the collar, pressed him against the wall, and nearly growled, “I said, we’re leaving now.

Behind him, Liu Zhuqing and Liu Hong had already exchanged a few words with the two girls and realized something was wrong. Their expressions darkened, but they didn’t object.
