LABMY CH32

When Jian Yuanbai let go, he saw Wei Zhenge’s reddened eyes. Reaching out, he wiped the tears from the corner of Wei Zhenge’s eyes with his thumb. Under Wei Zhenge’s misty gaze, Jian Yuanbai’s mind blanked out for a moment, and he brought his thumb to his lips.

“Bitter.”

In an instant, not only were Wei Zhenge’s eyes red, but his face also flushed, and even the tips of his ears burned with embarrassment, rendering him speechless.

Jian Yuanbai had only tasted his tears, yet the spot where his thumb brushed against the corner of his eye began to feel warm.

Jian Yuanbai, realizing how strange his action was, tried to cover it up with a smile. Then, looking at the injured and barely able-to-move Wei Zhenge lying on the hospital bed, his heart ached. His voice softened, “Are you thirsty? Do you want some water?”

Wei Zhenge shook his head and patted the bed with his hand that still had the IV needle, “Come up and sleep with me for a bit.”

Jian Yuanbai hesitated, “I’m afraid I’ll accidentally touch your wounds. You sleep, I’ll stay here.”

“I won’t,” Wei Zhenge paused and said, “Other than this hand, the rest are just surface wounds. It’s fine.”

He looked at Jian Yuanbai, his beautiful eyes still tinged with the redness from crying, “Just lie with me for a little while.”

Facing those eyes, Jian Yuanbai couldn’t resist. He carefully sat on the edge of the bed, stretching out his arm for Wei Zhenge to rest his head on and leaned against him lightly.

The man, who had lost a lot of blood, quickly fell asleep. In the quiet night, Jian Yuanbai could hear Wei Zhenge’s soft breathing.

Jian Yuanbai dared not sleep, afraid of accidentally touching Wei Zhenge’s wounds. Plus, with his freshly obtained “wife” in his arms, he felt too excited to fall asleep.

He quietly gazed at the person in his arms for a while before awkwardly leaning in to plant a light kiss.

It reminded him of a few days ago when he secretly kissed his little pillow while he was asleep. The scene was the same, but the situation was different.

Back then, his heart raced with excitement and fear, like a thief afraid of being caught. Now, his heart still beat faster when kissing Wei Zhenge, but he no longer feared being caught.

Because Wei Zhenge had agreed to be his wife.

At that moment, Jian Yuanbai finally felt the reality of having a “wife.” The excitement he had been suppressing due to Wei Zhenge’s weakness surged up, and he wished he could run outside and shout to the world that he had a wife now.

But in the dead of night, with nowhere to vent his excitement, Jian Yuanbai turned to the system in his head.

“My wife is so cute,” he said, initiating a conversation with the system.

The system gave no response.

After a brief silence, Jian Yuanbai changed his approach, “Tiantian, do you know why you keep crashing when watching those films?”

The system, finally hooked, coldly replied, “Why?”

It genuinely wanted to know why such a ridiculous rumor spread in the system world.

Jian Yuanbai whispered devilishly, “Because you don’t have a wife, so you can only watch but never experience it.”

“But I have a wife. I don’t need to watch those things.”

“You’re so pitiful. You don’t even have a wife.”

His words of flaunting practically materialized and smashed right into the system’s face, leaving the system speechless with anger.

The system coldly retorted, “Wei Zhenge is a Long AoTian protagonist, a former straight man who, according to the original plot, had three wives.”

“Do you think he’d prefer to be on top or bottom?”

It chuckled with confidence, “I think he’d be on top.”

Jian Yuanbai froze for a second, his face contorting as he stared at Wei Zhenge, lost in thought over this question for the entire night.

Wei Zhenge only stayed in the hospital for two days before asking Jian Yuanbai to take him home. He disliked hospitals and didn’t hesitate to leave once the doctor allowed it.

However, the cast on his hand hadn’t been removed yet and would need some time before it could be taken off. This made bathing a bit of a hassle.

Having been buried in mud and debris during the landslide, he only had his body wiped down during his hospital stay. Now that he was home, he finally wanted to take a proper shower.

In the bathroom, Wei Zhenge and Jian Yuanbai stared at each other.

“I’ll wrap this hand in plastic wrap. I can wash with one hand,” Wei Zhenge insisted.

To prove his point, he even demonstrated how he could soak the loofah and squeeze out foam with one hand.

He demonstrated flawlessly, but the audience wasn’t convinced.

Jian Yuanbai confidently said, “What if you accidentally get water on it?”

“Having someone help you is much more convenient.”

Facing Jian Yuanbai’s burning gaze, Wei Zhenge couldn’t handle it. “I’m not a kid. Who needs help bathing?”

Jian Yuanbai immediately retorted, “You’re an injured patient, and who said you’re not a kid?”

He grinned and said, “You’ll always be my little pillow.”

Wei Zhenge looked at him with a half-smile, “Still thinking about being my dad, huh?”

The confident Jian Yuanbai instantly deflated like a punctured balloon. He avoided Wei Zhenge’s injured hand, wrapped his arms around his waist, and buried his face in the crook of his shoulder. “Can we not bring that up anymore?”

“At a time like this, how can you ruin the mood like that?”

As Jian Yuanbai hugged him, his hands began to mischievously unbutton Wei Zhenge’s shirt. Without giving him a chance to refuse, he righteously declared, “Taking care of an injured person is my duty. You should stop resisting.”

The bathroom was fully lit with the warm glow of the heater lamp, making the space bright and filled with a soft, golden hue. As the hot water flowed, steam began to fill the air.

In the misty, warm bathroom, Wei Zhenge’s jade-like body took on an even more alluring glow. The hazy, indistinct visual effect from the steam made it even more unbearable for Jian Yuanbai.

In the humid, steam-filled air, Jian Yuanbai felt parched. His throat was dry and hoarse, as if he desperately needed the nourishment of spring water. He touched the edge of the spring, smooth and delicate, but couldn’t reach the sweetest core within.

This frustrated him, but the rising thirst made him suppress his desires even harder. He kept reminding himself not to act like a beast.

“He’s still wearing a cast,” Jian Yuanbai repeated in his heart, hoping to calm himself down.

He teetered on the edge between being human and becoming a beast. In the hazy mist, he saw the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden.

The forbidden fruit was small, perhaps not fully grown, or maybe it was simply a variety that wouldn’t grow large. It was bright red, with droplets of water clinging to it.

Jian Yuanbai swallowed hard, trying to soothe his burning throat. Standing behind Wei Zhenge, he suddenly noticed a small red mole on the back of Wei Zhenge’s neck.

This was the first time he had seen this delicate, perfectly round red mole. It had always been hidden beneath Wei Zhenge’s collar or hair, only now shyly revealing itself to Jian Yuanbai.

The mole was tiny and round, with a charming red hue. Growing on the back of Wei Zhenge’s neck, it made him look even more adorable in Jian Yuanbai’s eyes.

Like being tempted by the serpent, Jian Yuanbai lowered his head and kissed that red mole.

The moment his dry, warm lips pressed against it, the shoulder beneath his hand trembled slightly. When his tongue licked the spot, that slight tremor turned into stiffness.

Jian Yuanbai thought he would be pushed away, but he wasn’t.

This only made him more eager as he sucked on that red mole, repeatedly pressing his tongue against it, and even gently biting it, grinding it with either light or heavy force.

The originally red mole was sucked by Jian Yuanbai until it turned an intense crimson, as if blood could seep out from it.

Wei Zhenge never knew that his neck could draw Jian Yuanbai’s interest like this, nor did he expect that the small patch of skin, which was exposed to the air most of the time, would be so sensitive.

He bit his lip, stubbornly holding back any shameful sounds. After waiting for several minutes, seeing that Jian Yuanbai still refused to let go, he couldn’t help but reach out and push him away.

Wei Zhenge’s eyes shimmered with tears, misted by the steam, his lips reddened from his own biting, with a faint bite mark on his lower lip. When he spoke, his voice was soft beyond belief, “What are you doing?”

He was clearly startled by his own voice and immediately bit his lip again, his face turning even redder.

Jian Yuanbai reached out to touch the spot on the back of Wei Zhenge’s neck where the small mole was and said proudly, “You have a mole here.”

Wei Zhenge couldn’t help but tilt his head slightly to avoid his hand, “But you didn’t have to…”

“Hold it in your mouth the whole time,” he bit his lip and said, his ears turning red.

Jian Yuanbai stared at him, growing more and more enchanted. He murmured, “Because it’s red… and cute…”

His voice grew softer and softer until it faded into the space between their touching lips. His tongue lightly brushed against Wei Zhenge’s lips, silently urging something.

Wei Zhenge’s eyelashes trembled, like a butterfly’s wings dampened by rain, fluttering with helplessness. He slightly parted his lips, silently granting permission—or perhaps inviting the uninvited guest to enter.

He nervously closed his eyes, and with his vision gone, his other senses became extraordinarily sharp. The soft, wet sounds of their tongues intertwining, and Jian Yuanbai’s low, heated breaths, all became vividly clear to him.

The sounds of water and breathing, which were usually normal, now made Wei Zhenge’s face flush with embarrassment.

A few tears were forced out of his eyes, one trailing down the corner, while a few more slipped from his lips and landed in Jian Yuanbai’s hand.

When their lips finally parted, giving Wei Zhenge a chance to breathe, he quickly turned his head to avoid Jian Yuanbai’s lips chasing after him. Seizing the moment, he hurriedly said, “Weren’t we supposed to be taking a bath? What… what is this?”

Jian Yuanbai pressed his forehead against Wei Zhenge’s, their noses brushing together. His voice was hoarse and low as he chuckled, “This is a bath.”

“This is an extra service from Jian the Bathhouse Master.”

He raised his hand and showed the slightly sticky “result” in his palm, proudly asking, “How is it? Pretty good service, right?”

The cunning Bathhouse Master Jian, who mastered the art of hustling, seemed to be asking for feedback but was actually threatening, “If the customer isn’t satisfied with the service, we can stop right now.”

Wei Zhenge’s eyes were red, looking at him with misty eyes. He struggled to squeeze out a few broken words from his throat, “Good… Don’t… Don’t stop here…”

Once everything settled, the embarrassed and furious customer gave Bathhouse Master Jian a one-star review.

Jian Yuanbai reluctantly accepted the negative rating. After wiping Wei Zhenge dry, he suddenly said, “I’m now a half-beast.”

Wei Zhenge: ?

“What?”

Jian Yuanbai shook his head mysteriously, “You wouldn’t understand.”

He held the bottom line.

Half of it.
