Chapter 71: Sleep Obediently? Impossible…
Shen Bianye tidied everything up, and at Xie Yuanxing’s strong request, he even changed the bedsheets and opened the window to air out the room.
While doing all this, he couldn’t help but feel like he had finally gotten a taste, but it was only in the literal sense, not a home run.
Thinking this, Shen Bianye felt a faint sense of melancholy as he changed the sheets.
Xie Yuanxing didn’t like strangers in the house, so they didn’t hire a maid or housekeeping. Aside from cooking, most of the chores were done by Shen Bianye.
Fortunately, neither of them liked the greasy feeling of washing dishes, so they unanimously decided to buy a dishwasher.
With a dishwasher and an automatic robot vacuum, Shen Bianye didn’t actually do much when you broke it down. But compared to his former “young master” status where he wouldn’t lift a finger at home, he was now quite adept at these tasks.
The sheets were spread flat and soft. When Xie Yuanxing came out of the shower, his hair half-dried, he wanted to lie down.
With quick eyes and hands, Shen Bianye pulled him back, sat him down on a chair, got the hairdryer from the bathroom, plugged it in, and started drying his hair.
Running his fingers through the dark, soft hair, Shen Bianye frowned slightly, his tone a bit scolding, “Don’t you know you’ll get a headache if you lie on the bed with your hair not fully dry?”
Xie Yuanxing’s confidence deflated, and he weakly said, “I did blow-dry it.”
The moment he looked a little pitiful, Shen Bianye’s heart softened. He had wanted to warn him more sternly to get him to change this bad habit, since there would be times when he wasn’t around to watch over him.
But what came out was, “Baby, I’ll dry it for you before you sleep.”
The moment the words left his mouth, Shen Bianye himself paused.
…That wasn’t right. That’s not what he wanted to say.
Xie Yuanxing turned his head to glance at him. The hair at his temples was slightly lifted by the breeze from the dryer, making him look like a messy, bristling kitten. “Then be quick, I’m so sleepy.”
Shen Bianye moved the hairdryer away and instinctively leaned down to kiss his smooth, fair forehead. “Okay.”
After Xie Yuanxing sat up straight and turned his head back, Shen Bianye realized again… this was really not right. He hadn’t meant to say okay.
Shen Bianye’s tall figure stood behind Xie Yuanxing, almost completely obscuring him. Taking advantage of the fact that Xie Yuanxing couldn’t see his face, his expression was unconcealed, slowly revealing a hint of annoyance.
If this weren’t the modern era, he might even suspect that Xie Yuanxing had put a hex on him.
But he quickly thought again—no one in this world would love Xie Yuanxing more than him. When he was gone, he wouldn’t feel at ease leaving Xie Yuanxing in anyone’s hands.
Including Xie Yuanxing himself.
Baby won’t take good care of himself. He’s even too lazy to dry his hair completely.
The whirring of the hairdryer stopped, and Shen Bianye ruffled Xie Yuanxing’s fluffy head.
What should I do, baby? He didn’t know who to pray to for a long life.
As Xie Yuanxing’s hair slipped through his fingers, Shen Bianye silently asked this question in his heart, but his mouth naturally opened and said, “It’s dry, baby. Go to sleep.”
Xie Yuanxing yawned, nodded with sleepy eyes, and slowly crawled into bed to sleep.
Shen Bianye then turned and went to the bathroom to take a shower.
The room fell silent. Apart from the faint sound of water from the bathroom, there was only the soft hum of the air conditioner.
For Xie Yuanxing’s constitution, sleeping with the air conditioner on in the summer would be cold.
Back in the dorm, even on the hottest summer nights, their air conditioner wouldn’t run all night.
But now, he wasn’t alone in the bed. An Alpha’s body was very warm, and only with the air conditioner on would Xie Yuanxing be willing to be held while sleeping.
When Shen Bianye finished his shower and came out, Xie Yuanxing was already asleep.
The warm yellow light from the bedside lamp cast a soft glow on him. His thick, curly eyelashes cast a small, fan-like shadow on his face, making his fair skin look incredibly soft. Even the small, black tear mole seemed to have taken on a warmer hue.
Two hours ago, that black tear mole had been covered and whitened by his desire.
Shen Bianye’s Adam’s apple bobbed. He reached for the air conditioner remote on the bedside table, turned the temperature up by two degrees, and lifted the covers off Xie Yuanxing.
In his sleep, Xie Yuanxing suddenly clamped his legs shut. The feeling of being unable to close them, the hot, burning kisses, made him struggle in a half-dreaming state.
His eyeballs moved restlessly under his thin eyelids, as if he could wake up at any moment.
Shen Bianye thought his movements were light enough. He kissed Xie Yuanxing, licking with the tip of his tongue, growing more and more obsessed as he went deeper.
So fragrant, baby.
His skin is so tender, too, like licking a milk panna cotta.
Smooth, delicate, sweet, and delicious.
It smelled of rich milk, sweet and tempting, but he could only taste a hint of it when he licked and bit. This feeling of never being able to fully taste that sweetness was especially alluring, making his heart itch as if scratched by a cat’s paw.
He could faintly taste a bit of sweetness, very light, a faint milky fragrance that had Shen Bianye completely hooked.
Just as he was about to lose himself completely, he was suddenly kicked hard on the shoulder.
No matter what, Xie Yuanxing was an adult. Being kicked unexpectedly, Shen Bianye still felt a bit of pain. He pushed his tongue against the inside of his cheek, his gaze towards Xie Yuanxing a little dangerous and excited.
Shen Bianye reached out and grabbed Xie Yuanxing’s ankle, preventing him from pulling it away. He turned his head and kissed Xie Yuanxing’s slender ankle bone. “Kicking me again?”
“You can’t be like this, baby.”
Xie Yuanxing did have a bit of a temper when he woke up. It was usually small and not obvious, but anyone woken up in the middle of the night by having their desires tantalizingly stirred would find even the smallest temper flaring up.
“Either sleep obediently, or get out.”
Shen Bianye let go. “Baby is so fierce.”
Xie Yuanxing gave Shen Bianye a cold, indifferent look. The next second, Shen Bianye was lying properly in bed and even reached out to turn off the bedside lamp.
The young master had been kicked and told to get out, yet he silently curled his lips, unable to stop smiling.
His baby had two modes: when not provoked, he was a little star baby; when provoked, he was a poisonous mushroom.
So cute.
I like baby so much.
Next time, he would have to taste more lightly, and try not to wake the baby up.
Or maybe he should time it, to see at what level and what time the baby would wake up.
That way, every time in the future, he could—just before the critical point of the baby waking up—savor him to his heart’s content.
…
The next morning, Xie Yuanxing went to work. Shen Bianye slowly did the housework: mopping the floor, sweeping up trash, and making the bed.
Then he sat on the sofa, picked up his phone, and tapped on Shen Zheng’s phone number.
Although Xie Yuanxing was willing to support him, and Shen Bianye was quite happy to be a kept man.
He had reached a point of absolute delight, even eagerly demonstrating his work abilities and cleaning up the “workstation” afterward.
He was even enthusiastic about continuing his demonstration in the middle of the night.
This was enough to show how much Shen Bianye wanted to be a good kept man.
However, this didn’t mean Shen Bianye was willing to do nothing and watch Shen Zheng freeze his assets.
Those were things Shen Bianye wanted to leave for Xie Yuanxing, and no one could take them first.
Shen Bianye called Shen Zheng. The other side might be busy, but Shen Bianye had plenty of patience.
The third time he called, the call connected.
Shen Zheng said, “Don’t tell me you’ve thought it through in just one night.”
“I know you, and you know me. Don’t play these probing games with me.”
Shen Bianye laughed. He had it on speakerphone. The call was pinned to the top of his screen, and on the phone’s interface, he was creating an account on a dating website.
“You might not know me well enough yet.”
“Don’t you want a child? I’m preparing to post your phone number on all the major dating sites. What should I write for the profile?”
“‘Can’t have children myself, but I especially love them. I hope my other half is divorced with kids, I’ll definitely treat them as my own.’”
“I didn’t dare write your real stats, for fear people would think it’s a scam. I lowered the bar a bit, but don’t worry, you’ll definitely be in high demand.”
The veins on Shen Zheng’s forehead throbbed, causing a sharp pain in his head. He roared in anger, “Shen Bianye, did a donkey kick you in the head?”
Shen Bianye said with a half-smile, “I know your phone number is known by many business partners and can’t be easily changed.”
“But it doesn’t matter if you really decide to change it. I have my ways of finding out your next number.”
Shen Zheng was so angry he couldn’t maintain his refined demeanor and started roaring into the phone, “Shen Bianye, what on earth are you trying to do?”
Shen Bianye stopped smiling and said coldly, “Stay out of my business.”
“Don’t forget, the shares my mother held are now in my hands. If you can cause trouble for me, I have plenty of ways to cause trouble for you.”
Shen Zheng sneered repeatedly, “Good, good, good. You can threaten me now.”
“You’ve really grown wings.”
“The controlling stake is in my hands. What can you do?”
“Do you have a single confidant in the group? And you’re here brazenly threatening me?”
“Do you think I’ll take your threats seriously? Do you dare put my number on a dating site? If it affects business and reputation, the stock price will fall, the corporate image will be damaged, and it will be your interests that suffer too.”
Shen Bianye sneered, “If you want to die early from anger and join me, I don’t care.”
Shen Zheng hung up the phone with a dark face, put it aside to get it out of sight, and turned to handle his work.
He didn’t take Shen Bianye’s childish and immature threats to heart. Shen Bianye hadn’t been close to him in recent years, but he had never done anything out of line.
In the spacious office, a simple, cold desk stood before a huge floor-to-ceiling window. A project manager stood in front of it, trembling and reporting on his work with a head full of cold sweat.
A rapid ringtone interrupted the tense, stagnant atmosphere, followed by a second, a third, and a fourth.
Four phone ringtones went off at once, and the whole office suddenly became lively.
Shen Zheng’s two work phones, one backup phone, and one personal phone were all ringing.
He had a bad feeling. He reached out and answered one. On the other end of the line was an extremely enthusiastic voice. The person’s voice was so loud that even though Shen Zheng didn’t have it on speaker, some sound still leaked out:
“Hello, is this Mr. Shen? It’s like this, your personal signature says you like children, and the more the better, right?”
“I have three children! They can all call you daddy. Do you want to hear your sons’ voices now? Come on, call him daddy, everyone call him daddy.”
“Mr. Shen, you mentioned at least one hundred thousand a month for child support…”
Shen Zheng abruptly hung up the phone. The trio of ringtones from his other three phones was still ringing in his ears. Before him stood his subordinate, who didn’t dare to breathe but still dared to look at him with a strange expression. His vision went black for a moment, and for an instant, it felt like he couldn’t breathe.
…
After work, Xie Yuanxing received several missed calls from an unknown number, as well as text messages.
He opened them and was instantly confused.
“Control Shen Bianye.”
“I call him and he blocks me. You need to control him, right now, immediately!”
