GBROTAH CH23
After the ambulance took away the bleeding pink-haired man, four people remained in the chaotic scene.
The baby-faced Omega hadn’t left. He looked at Shen Bianye, who was standing beside Xie Yuanxing, comforting him, and bit his lip before walking over:
“Brother Xiaoye, can you come here? I have something to tell you.”
Shen Bianye didn’t move. Not only did he not move, but he also pulled back Xie Yuanxing, who was about to leave, and said impatiently to the baby-faced Omega:
“Just say whatever you have to say. Xie Yuanxing hasn’t eaten much yet, and the food will get cold when we go back.”
He had just cracked a man’s head open, and now he was thinking about taking someone back to eat.
And that person was their friend!
The baby-faced Omega looked at Shen Bianye in disbelief, his unease growing.
Unable to get Shen Bianye to move, he had no choice but to stand where he was and speak, tears welling up in his eyes. His first words, however, did not mention the pink-haired man, but rather: “Brother Xiaoye, you scared me today. I’m so scared.”
When Shen Bianye heard this, he instinctively glanced at Xie Yuanxing out of the corner of his eye, while not forgetting to say coldly to the baby-faced Omega:
“What are you screaming about? Can you speak normally?”
“If that’s all you have to say, you can stop. If you’re timid, go watch a horror movie. It’s useless to tell me.”
The baby-faced Omega choked, looking at Shen Bianye, on the verge of tears:
“Dongzi’s words weren’t very pleasant, but how could you be so heavy-handed? We’ve been friends for so many years. It’s not appropriate for you to do this for an outsider.”
“You didn’t even introduce him. Don’t tell me he’s very important to you, more important than us, your friends.”
“Besides, he also splashed Dongzi and cursed back.”
Shen Bianye’s face completely cooled at that, “Not very pleasant?”
Even during the most infuriating period of being angered by Xie Yuanxing, he had never said such insulting words to Xie Yuanxing.
“I didn’t introduce you to Xie Yuanxing because I think you’re too dirty. What are you guys anyway?”
The baby-faced Omega’s face instantly turned pale.
But Shen Bianye became more and more annoyed as he spoke, “What’s wrong with Xie Yuanxing cursing back?”
“Xie Yuanxing only knows how to curse ‘idiot’ repeatedly. Cursing him is giving him face.”
“Even when I said something harsh to Xie Yuanxing, he cursed at me. Let alone you guys provoking him first, even if you didn’t, can’t Xie Yuanxing curse at you?”
The baby-faced person was stunned, his lips trembling, unable to speak. Zhou Chao was also a bit numb, but with a keen interest in the spectacle, he continued to watch the show.
Xie Yuanxing, standing beside him, felt his vision go black. He raised his hand and nudged Shen Bianye with his elbow, “Are you sick? What are you saying?”
Shen Bianye clicked his tongue, showing an expression that said, See, he always curses me, and pulled Xie Yuanxing further behind him, saying:
“Never mind, let me make myself clear.”
Xie Yuanxing: ……
If only Shen Bianye were normal, he wouldn’t have thought of speaking.
Shen Bianye continued speaking to the baby-faced Omega, leaving almost no room for mercy:
“I don’t have much of a friendship with you guys. Hanging out together doesn’t mean we’re friends. As adults, you should understand this, right?”
“Mixing with you guys was just to fulfill my dad’s expectation of having a better son.”
To put it bluntly, it was out of spite, but this thought was too childish for Shen Bianye to voice in front of Xie Yuanxing.
The baby-faced Omega cried, tears streaming down his face, and his pheromones also diffused, a lingering lavender scent clinging to Shen Bianye.
Shen Bianye’s expression changed, and Zhou Chao also looked disapprovingly at the baby-faced Omega, his face darkened.
Xie Yuanxing, standing nearby, sensed a subtle wrongness in the atmosphere but didn’t know why, blinking blankly.
Shen Bianye and Zhou Chao exchanged glances, and Shen Bianye’s voice was cold: “Handle it.”
Zhou Chao nodded. After Shen Bianye and Xie Yuanxing left, he turned to the baby-faced Omega and said, “You’d better rein in your thoughts. Shen Bianye isn’t interested in you.”
His family and Shen Bianye’s were old family friends, and they had grown up together.
Naturally, he wouldn’t take Shen Bianye’s words about not being friends with the baby-faced Omega personally. His words to the Omega were mostly a warning.
The baby-faced person bit his lip, a resentful look on his face. “Who is that Beta anyway? Why is Brother Xiaoye protecting him so much?”
“He’s just a Beta, he doesn’t even have pheromones.”
Zhou Chao didn’t mention the matter of the illness, only saying, “Their relationship isn’t what you think it is.”
He thought of something himself and chuckled, “Shen Bianye’s mother is a very good person. She taught him to be very innocent. Having a mistress isn’t something he would do.”
The shattered pieces and spilled wine in the private room had already been cleaned up by the manager at top speed. Shen Bianye still frowned at the table full of dishes and said:
“Change to another private room and bring a fresh set of dishes.”
Xie Yuanxing stopped the manager, who was about to go prepare, “No need, we’ll just eat these.”
Shen Bianye knew he disliked waste, so seeing this, he didn’t insist further. He pointed to a few dishes Xie Yuanxing liked, “Have these heated up.”
The manager repeatedly said yes, signaling the waiters to take the dishes to be heated.
After the people left the private room, Shen Bianye grabbed Xie Yuanxing’s chair, pulling both the person and the chair towards him. He sternly said:
“Do you know you made a mistake?”
Xie Yuanxing’s dark eyes were filled with confusion, “…..What mistake?”
Shen Bianye looked serious. “You went up and splashed him with wine, it was neither painful nor itchy. Why didn’t you just grab the bottle and smash it over his head?”
Xie Yuanxing lowered his gaze, his voice calm: “I don’t want to pay for medical expenses.”
Shen Bianye clicked his tongue lightly, “What are you afraid of? I’m here. If you cripple him, I’ll pay.”
“Besides, didn’t you consider what if he got angry and hit you after you poured that glass of wine on him?”
Xie Yuanxing looked at him and smiled softly, the tear mole under his eye once again swaying in Shen Bianye’s vision. “Aren’t you here?”
Shen Bianye stared at him blankly, his Adam’s apple unconsciously bobbing up and down. He swallowed, his gaze slowly falling from the small tear mole to Xie Yuanxing’s lips.
Xie Yuanxing’s lips were beautifully shaped, a light pink color with full, plump lips that looked… very kissable.
“Would you let me get hit?”
Shen Bianye’s gaze gradually became infatuated, finding it difficult to tear his eyes away.
When focused on one thing, thought becomes weak. Hearing this, he was completely subconscious, saying firmly without thinking: “No.”
Only after speaking did he realize the urgency and certainty in his tone. Before he could feel annoyed, he saw Xie Yuanxing’s lips slightly curl up as he said, “So when I made my move, I knew that because of your pheromone disorder, you wouldn’t leave me alone.”
Shen Bianye paused, then chuckled, “It’s good that you know why.”
“Don’t worry, because of this illness, you are currently very important to me. Next time, you can just go ahead and do it.”
Then, he frowned again, “But don’t think you can be reckless because of this. My patience has its limits.”
Xie Yuanxing hummed, “I know.”
Shen Bianye thought for a moment, then asked with some curiosity, “What if I really didn’t care and he hit you, what would you do?”
Xie Yuanxing: “Lie down.”
Shen Bianye: ?
Xie Yuanxing: “Extort money.”
Shen Bianye: ……
Xie Yuanxing said self-righteously, “If he doesn’t give it, I’ll come to you. You brought me here, and your friends were the ones causing trouble. If you don’t give it, I’ll be angry every day.”
He smiled at Shen Bianye, “I’ll make you suffer.”
Zhou Chao, who had finished dealing with the baby-faced Omega, walked in and overheard this conversation. He pulled up a chair and sat next to Xie Yuanxing, smiling at him with interest: “I find you quite interesting, amusing.”
Shen Bianye, beside him, frowned and his face darkened. “Are you sick? Why are you praising him?”
This made Zhou Chao laugh. “Are you sick? Can’t I praise him?”
Shen Bianye glanced at Xie Yuanxing, “It’s not that you can’t, it’s just, I feel like your praise has ill intentions.”
Zhou Chao: “Alright, then you tell me, how should I praise him to have good intentions?”
Shen Bianye: “You tell me, and I’ll relay it to him.”
Zhou Chao glanced at the distance of less than half a meter between himself and Xie Yuanxing, speechless and wanting to curse.
He ignored Shen Bianye and instead spoke to Xie Yuanxing, saying, “I used to think you were only two-faced, but today I didn’t expect you to dare to act directly.”
Zhou Chao saw Xie Yuanxing’s indifference and raised an eyebrow, “You don’t know yet, do you? Luo Chengjie has a recording.”
“Zhou Chao, that’s enough,” Shen Bianye interrupted in a deep voice, his tone already showing displeasure.
Seeing this, Zhou Chao shrugged and stopped speaking. “Then you guys eat slowly, I’m heading out.”
The private room quieted down. After dinner, Shen Bianye drove them to his house in A City.
Xie Yuanxing hadn’t expected such a large, quiet, and open piece of land in the bustling city center. It was like a garden, with an artistic sense of tranquility amidst the noise.
If Shen Bianye hadn’t brought him in, he would have even thought it was a scenic spot if he had just passed by.
They passed through an arched stone gate and walked along a covered bridge, with ponds on both sides filled with plants Xie Yuanxing didn’t recognize, and a few lotus leaves. Fat koi fish swam inside.
At the very end was a three-story villa. Upon entering, a middle-aged woman greeted them.
Shen Bianye: “Auntie, get him a glass of water.”
Then he looked at Xie Yuanxing: “What do you want to drink, juice? Soup? Wine?”
“Do you want to try the stewed snow clam that Auntie made? Don’t you like sweets? This one is sweet. My mom used to love it.”
“Never mind, just bring a bowl. This seems quite nutritious, just right for you too.”
Auntie smiled and said okay, then turned to the kitchen to prepare.
After the aunt left, Xie Yuanxing suddenly asked, “Your house here is so big, why don’t you move out of the school dorms?”
Shen Bianye naturally replied, “First-year students are required to live on campus, didn’t you know?”
“I’ve been living there for a year now, so I just got used to it and got lazy about moving.”
Xie Yuanxing lowered his gaze and slowly hummed in response. Neither of them spoke. The situation had been quiet and strange ever since Zhou Chao mentioned Luo Chengjie.
In the brief silence, Xie Yuanxing’s phone buzzed.
Xie Yuanxing didn’t look, but Shen Bianye, who was holding the phone, paused and stood up, saying, “I’ll go see how Auntie is doing.”
“Wait, what did Luo Chengjie tell you?” Xie Yuanxing stopped him, asking calmly.
Shen Bianye sat back down. After pondering for a moment, he decided to tell the truth: “I don’t know where he got the recording, but it’s the content of your conversation with him.”
Xie Yuanxing: “Then why did he play it for you?”
Shen Bianye: “Why? To say you’re malicious.”
“He said you look pitiful on the surface, but you’re actually very dark-minded, and that there’s no need for me to stand up for you or anything.”
Xie Yuanxing lowered his gaze, recalling what he had said at the time.
Shen Bianye, eyes downcast, said nothing. Unable to stand it, he clicked his tongue lightly, “What are you afraid of? What’s wrong with wanting revenge when you’ve been bullied?”
“It’s not like I don’t know you’re vengeful.”
“To be honest, I really look down on you like this.”
Although Xie Yuanxing had his head lowered, the pout of his lips still fell into Shen Bianye’s eyes. He felt like laughing but held it in, continuing:
“If you’re unhappy about something, express it on the spot, like today.”
“Always secretly retaliating afterwards, wouldn’t that just mean you’ve been holding in your anger? What if you develop a problem from bottling it up?”
He thought Xie Yuanxing would be at least appreciative, if not touched, by his words.
But to his surprise, Xie Yuanxing just smiled, a hint of subtle sarcasm in his expression: “Not everyone has the confidence to express dissatisfaction whenever and wherever they want.”
That hint of sarcasm wasn’t directed at him, Shen Bianye knew, but for some reason, his heart still stirred.
“Anyway, thank you for the Luo Chengjie matter,” Xie Yuanxing said. “You didn’t really have to stick up for me.”
Shen Bianye’s emotions came and went quickly. Hearing this, his face turned foul. He said coolly, “What? You’re complaining again that I’m meddling?”
When Luo Chengjie had first approached him with the recording, Shen Bianye’s first thought was that Xie Yuanxing knew.
The words “Who the f*ck cares about your business” that he had thrown down in the dorm were still echoing in his ears.
He then immediately slapped himself in the face.
But Xie Yuanxing never brought it up, so he had forgotten about it. Who would have thought Zhou Chao, that little brat, would bring it up again today?
Xie Yuanxing shook his head, “How could that be? Is it my fault, alright?”
Shen Bianye said coldly, “Alright? Is that how you thank people?”
Xie Yuanxing had a vague feeling that he was coaxing a sulky little Omega, and this feeling made his scalp tingle. “Then what do you want?”
This question stumped Shen Bianye. His gaze fell on Xie Yuanxing’s wine-stained clothes, and he suddenly had an idea.
“You shower with me in a bit, that’ll be your thanks to me.”
Xie Yuanxing listened to the sentence with an upward lilt at the end, finding it difficult to comprehend at first, and didn’t understand why the topic had jumped to this.
He calmly stated: “Actually, I don’t really want to thank you.”
“So, let’s just forget about the thanks.”
“After all, I’m a dark-minded, petty, and malicious person, don’t you think?”
Shen Bianye let out a muffled laugh. “I think you’re a sunny, generous, and kind-hearted person.”
Xie Yuanxing: “Thank you, but showering together is not happening.”
Shen Bianye couldn’t laugh anymore. He frowned, asking very perplexed, “Why? It’s normal for guys to shower together, and besides, you’re not an Omega.”
Xie Yuanxing looked up at him, “It’s normal for guys to shower together, but for a guy to really want to shower with another guy, that’s not quite normal.”
Shen Bianye was silent for a moment, then calmly said, “I don’t really want to.”
Xie Yuanxing seized the opportunity, “Then that’s good, let’s just drop it.”
But Shen Bianye didn’t want to drop it. “Mainly, last time when I pushed the door open, you reacted so strongly, I thought it was a bit abnormal.”
He pointed at Xie Yuanxing, emphasizing, “You’re abnormal.”
“That’s why I want you to shower with me. I just want to see if there’s anything strange about you that can’t be seen.”
He emphasized again: “I really don’t particularly want to shower with you.”
“Whether you want to or not, I don’t.”
Xie Yuanxing’s expression subtly dimmed. He merely furrowed his brow slightly, his eyelids lowering and raising as he spoke.
This faint emotional change, however, accurately fell into Shen Bianye’s eyes. He sensed something and didn’t ask further.
Just then, Auntie finished making the stewed snow clam and smilingly handed it to Xie Yuanxing.
The matter of showering together was naturally dropped, and they slept in separate rooms that night. Shen Bianye’s house was very large, so finding an empty room was easy.
Xie Yuanxing didn’t know if it was a guest room or a secondary bedroom, but it had a large independent bathroom inside.
After showering and lying in bed, he was wearing pajamas Auntie had given him, saying they were new, with a faint scent of a gentle flame.
His phone buzzed twice, and the messages, along with previous ones, came into Xie Yuanxing’s view.
X: “What is baby doing?”
…….
X: “Why aren’t you replying to me? It’s Friday today, did you go out to play?”
As Xie Yuanxing typed his reply, on the other side of the wall, Shen Bianye was also chatting with another person.
Shen Bianye flashed a WeChat call to Zhou Chao, then hung up the moment the other party answered.
Zhou Chao: “? What’s going on?”
Shen Bianye: “It’d be too slow waiting for you to see the message. I called you first so I can tell you.”
Zhou Chao: “…Alright, tell me.”
Shen Bianye hesitated, then said mysteriously, “You know, installing cameras at home shouldn’t be illegal, right?”
Zhou Chao: “It’s not illegal, what’s wrong?”
Shen Bianye: “Then what about installing cameras to watch someone else shower?”
Zhou Chao: “Illegal, absolutely illegal. When are you planning to do it? I’ll check my schedule so I can bail you out of the detention center, or visit you in prison if it comes to that.”
Shen Bianye: “It’s not me, it’s a friend of mine. He wants to.”
Zhou Chao: “Oh~ then you, no, I mean your friend, why does he want to watch someone else shower?”
Shen Bianye pretended not to see the “then you,” and carefully typed, “He feels that one of his friends is a bit off.”
Zhou Chao: “How so?”
After saying this, he saw the other side reply very quickly, as if full of resentment.
“His friend doesn’t want him to see his body.”
Zhou Chao frowned, looking at this sentence for three full minutes, saying nothing.
Shen Bianye: “When I talk to you, can you not go do something else midway? This is very important to my friend.”
Zhou Chao’s expression was complex: “I’m here, not doing anything else.”
“I’m just thinking, when did you secretly become a pervert behind my back?”
Shen Bianye was annoyed and sent a voice message, saying coldly, “I told you it’s not me!”
“And what’s perverted about it? Isn’t this normal concern for a friend?”
Zhou Chao rubbed his temples, thinking to himself that this was hardly normal, but he didn’t say it aloud, fearing the young master’s embarrassment would turn to murderous rage.
After a moment of thought, he said, “No one wants to show their body to others, right? Unless they’re an exhibitionist. I think your friend is overthinking it.”
Shen Bianye: “No, he said that when he brought up showering together, his friend reacted abnormally.”
When Zhou Chao saw this sentence, he reflected for a moment, realizing he might indeed have had a dirty mind and misunderstood Shen Bianye. So he asked:
“How was it abnormal?”
Shen Bianye: “He blinked twice quickly. First, his eyes dropped when he said it, and then he raised them.”
Zhou Chao: “That’s it?”
“THAT’S IT?!”
Heh heh, his mind was not, no, not at all dirty. The dirty one was someone else.
Shen Bianye: “Isn’t that enough?”
Zhou Chao: “When I talk to you, do you count how many times I blink?”
Shen Bianye: “Aren’t you disgusting? Why would I count your blinks?”
Zhou Chao: “Then you’re saying based on Xie Yuanxing blinking two extra times, you think he’s abnormal, and you want to watch someone else shower? Just say it directly.”
The other side sent two voice messages in quick succession, and when opened, they were filled with sounds of birdsong and flowers.
“I told you it’s not me!”
“And it’s not Xie Yuanxing!”
Zhou Chao: “Alright, alright, your friend, your friend. I think your friend is overthinking it.”
After this message was sent, there was no response for a long time. Zhou Chao, puzzled, sent another message, which displayed “The other party is not yet your friend…”
Damn, used and then discarded.
Although Shen Bianye deleted Zhou Chao, he also began to wonder if he was overthinking things.
He had originally thought of installing a camera in the bathroom. The next time he used the same excuse to bring Xie Yuanxing over for the night, he would be able to see the situation.
But if he was truly mistaken and just installed a camera in the bathroom to film Xie Yuanxing showering…
Shen Bianye pressed his tongue against the roof of his mouth and cursed under his breath. That really would be just as Zhou Chao said, he’d become a pervert.
He just felt that Xie Yuanxing was a bit off. Last time, in such a short amount of time, when he pushed the door open, Xie Yuanxing had already put his clothes on.
He was even wearing the dirty clothes he had taken off, completely drenched in water.
They were both men. A glance wouldn’t hurt. Why was Xie Yuanxing hiding something?
It was Xie Yuanxing who was too strange; he was just normally concerned about his roommate and didn’t want to watch Xie Yuanxing shower.
So if installing a camera in the bathroom wasn’t an option…
Shen Bianye thought for a moment. Anyway, he just wanted to confirm. Couldn’t he just lift Xie Yuanxing’s clothes and take a look while he was asleep?
Xie Yuanxing was in the room next to his. Even if he locked the door, Shen Bianye had a key.
His bed was also large, not as narrow as the dorm beds, so he wouldn’t be discovered if he got close.
Shen Bianye didn’t feel there was anything wrong with his idea at all. Instead, he kept an eye on the time, slowly waiting for the night to deepen.
At 2 AM, all the excitement fell into silence. Those sleeping were now in deep slumber.
Shen Bianye’s soft slippers made no sound on the high-quality, hand-woven wool carpet.
His distinctly jointed hand grasped the doorknob. With a faint click, the door was pushed open.
Xie Yuanxing hadn’t locked the door. For some reason, this small detail made Shen Bianye uncontrollably excited.
He suppressed his surging pheromones, not letting them escape, and slowly approached the bed.
Xie Yuanxing was asleep, lying on his side, his dark, disheveled hair clinging to his face. His originally pale cheeks had a slight blush from the warmth, and his cheek was pressed against the soft pillow, squeezing out a bit of plump, soft flesh.
Shen Bianye’s Adam’s apple unconsciously moved up and down. He was concerned about Xie Yuanxing’s body, but for some reason, his heart suddenly pounded faster.
It throbbed wildly in his chest, with a hint of guilty excitement.
His hand slowly came to rest on Xie Yuanxing’s blanket, his heartbeat growing louder, like thunder and drums.
