FIMA Ch19: Date
The entrance to the staff dormitory building required swiping an access card, but the managing auntie had already gone home for the holidays.
Carrying someone on his back, Gu Siyuan walked in unimpeded. Along the way, they hadn’t encountered anyone. The single dorm room he lived in was at the far right corner of the third floor, complete with an independent bathroom and a small balcony.
After opening the door, Xie Qingxiao reluctantly jumped off his boyfriend’s back.
Gu Siyuan turned on the lights and the electric heater. Then he walked over to the wardrobe, took out a set of pajamas, and, without avoiding suspicion, turned his head and told Xie Qingxiao, “I’m going in to shower. You just hang out by yourself for a bit. If you’re bored, play on the computer.”
“Oh…” Xie Qingxiao nodded.
Right now, he was curiously examining Gu Siyuan’s room. The floor was spotless, the walls were pristine white, and the furnishings were extremely simple. Besides a wooden bed and a wardrobe, there was only a long, large desk against the wall.
On the desk sat a computer and a water dispenser, along with a large bag of snacks and some miscellaneous items. It was evident that Gu Siyuan spent most of his time in the dorm sitting in front of this desk.
Everything wasn’t much different from what he had imagined; it was entirely Gu Siyuan’s style.
Splash, splash… The sound of running water interrupted Xie Qingxiao’s thoughts.
Startled, he glanced toward the bathroom. He was actually spending the night alone with an Alpha… Through the frosted glass door, he could vaguely see the tall, straight figure moving around inside.
Not knowing what he had thought of, a faint pink hue slowly crept up his cheeks.
Gu Siyuan showered very quickly. In about ten minutes, he opened the door and walked out.
As he dried his hair, he looked at Xie Qingxiao and said without any emotion, “Go in and shower. The hot steam hasn’t dissipated yet.”
The person who had just bathed carried an extremely fresh scent.
Seeing his boyfriend’s appearance at first glance, Xie Qingxiao couldn’t help but be bewitched by his beauty once again.
However, he sneaked a peek below his boyfriend’s neck—the shirt was buttoned all the way to the top. It seemed there was no flesh to be seen. He had thought too much earlier…
Feeling a bit regretful, Xie Qingxiao walked over to his large backpack, took out his pajamas, and headed toward the bathroom.
Gu Siyuan completely failed to connect with his train of thought. He grabbed a cup, got some water from the dispenser, sat down at his desk, and began his routine check of today’s messages and emails.
After he finished reviewing the basic stuff, he glanced at the time in the bottom right corner of the computer screen and realized over twenty minutes had passed.
He frowned and swiveled his chair to look toward the bathroom door.
Just as he turned around, he saw the door click open.
Wearing a brown, little lion onesie pajama, Xie Qingxiao stood at the door, his cheeks flushed red.
Hmm… Gu Siyuan narrowed his eyes slightly, feeling both surprised and a bit of novelty in his heart.
So in private, Xie Qingxiao’s style is actually like this? He looks… very cute, makes me want to pull him into my arms and rub him.
Xie Qingxiao met his gaze: “Um… what’s wrong?”
Gu Siyuan gave a light cough and shook his head: “Why did you take so long? Your face looks like it’s about to dehydrate. Go get a glass of water. After drinking it, get into bed and rest. Don’t catch a cold!”
“Oh,” Xie Qingxiao responded with a blank nod.
The little lion ears on the pajama hood also bobbed along with his movement, making him look even more endearingly silly and cute.
Gu Siyuan quickly turned his head away, looking at the cold computer desktop. Working kept people calm.
After drinking the water, Xie Qingxiao lay in bed playing on his phone for about an hour. When he looked up, Gu Siyuan was still intently looking at the computer.
He puffed out his cheeks, got up, and went to the bathroom.
As he walked behind Gu Siyuan, he couldn’t help but cast a sidelong glance at the computer screen.
Then, his eyes widened in shock.
Taking slightly stiff steps, he walked toward the bathroom while his mind wandered wildly.
Is my boyfriend actually this kind of cold on the outside, secretly passionate on the inside type?
What Gu Siyuan had just been seriously browsing was actually an online shopping page. He had witnessed with his own eyes how Gu Siyuan’s fingers continuously clicked, adding several pieces of different animal-style fluffy Omega pajamas to his shopping cart.
…
Xie Qingxiao returned to bed and continued lying down. After half an hour, playing on his phone had become boring.
Right at this moment, he suddenly felt the outer edge of the mattress sink slightly. The large quilt was lifted, letting in a slight chill.
It’s coming, it’s coming, it’s finally coming…
Xie Qingxiao stared wide-eyed at the inner wall, his body inexplicably stiffening up completely.
However, about ten minutes passed, and besides that initial movement, there was absolutely nothing else beside him.
Xie Qingxiao’s stiff body had become completely numb. He couldn’t help but move slightly.
But there was still no reaction beside him.
He couldn’t help but move his arms and legs again.
Gu Siyuan checked the time, turned around, and patted him: “It’s 12:20. Are you still not going to sleep?”
As a master planner, Gu Siyuan had detailed schedules for almost every time point of every single day. When to wake up, when to exercise, when to sleep, and when to eat—he completed them all in fixed times and fixed quantities.
If it weren’t for Xie Qingxiao coming over today, he would have gone to sleep at 11:30.
“I can’t fall asleep.”
Xie Qingxiao turned around to look at him. In the dim light of the bedside lamp, he gently blinked his large eyes. His long, curled eyelashes fluttered like butterfly wings, hazy and enchanting.
Gu Siyuan frowned: “Why? Do you feel uncomfortable somewhere?”
Xie Qingxiao shook his head, clutching the quilt without speaking.
Gu Siyuan recalled that when he turned around just now, he had accidentally touched Xie Qingxiao’s foot, and it was frighteningly cold. An Omega’s body temperature was indeed somewhat lower than an Alpha’s.
After a moment of silence, he reached out and pulled the fluffy little lion beside him into his embrace. He even lowered his head and placed a light kiss on the gland he had bitten open earlier: “Alright, go to sleep!”
Xie Qingxiao’s body stiffened.
This seems to make it… even harder to sleep.
Why is my boyfriend like this, only responsible for teasing but not for burying the bodies…
Xie Qingxiao couldn’t help but let his mind wander again.
However, although he thought he wouldn’t be able to fall asleep, listening to the steady heartbeat of the person behind him and feeling the toasty warmth, he eventually drifted off.
He didn’t even notice when, upon opening his eyes the next morning, Gu Siyuan was already no longer in bed.
He recalled the scene of Gu Siyuan running that he had seen before, persisting even in such cold weather. Xie Qingxiao sighed slightly with emotion—it truly wasn’t easy to maintain his boyfriend’s good figure, but he himself could be considered a beneficiary.
Xie Qingxiao happily rolled around on the bed. He had slept so well last night that he didn’t even remember what he had dreamed about.
For someone like him who was a notoriously light sleeper, this could be considered an extremely rare experience.
By the time he finished getting up and washing up, Gu Siyuan happened to open the door and return, bringing back breakfast for two.
Xie Qingxiao sat cross-legged on the chair, enjoying the heat from the electric heater. As he drank soy milk, he thought leisurely: He and Gu Siyuan had already prematurely entered the rhythm of living together as a couple. It was quite nice.
After finishing breakfast, Xie Qingxiao resumed his identity as a student, writing agonizing math and comprehensive science test papers.
Gu Siyuan, on the other hand, turned on his computer and continued to work.
Occasionally, when there were points he was unsure about, Xie Qingxiao would call Gu Siyuan over to explain the questions to him. Of course, such times weren’t many.
When it reached 11:40, Gu Siyuan turned off his computer.
“Let’s go out to eat for lunch. What do you want to eat?” Gu Siyuan asked.
Xie Qingxiao picked up his phone: “Let me check.”
This was his first time going out to eat with his boyfriend; he absolutely had to choose a good place to leave a profound and beautiful impression.
But after browsing back and forth through several places, he ultimately gave up.
Xie Qingxiao couldn’t help but remember Gu Siyuan saying earlier that he was temporarily facing a financial crisis, and that he himself had even sponsored him five thousand yuan.
It seemed that after starting to date, everyone’s expenses would obviously increase.
Perhaps in the future, when they ate and shopped together, he could fight to pay the bill.
Seeing him act as if he had a phobia of making choices and wouldn’t be able to settle it anytime soon, and noting that lunch time would pass if they kept this up, Gu Siyuan picked up his jacket and said, “Let’s head out first. When we get there, we’ll just go in wherever looks pleasing to the eye.”
“Okay.”
The two took a taxi to the city center.
After getting out of the car and walking on the road, Xie Qingxiao was still completely engrossed in staring at his phone, relying entirely on Gu Siyuan holding his hand to guide his walking.
“How about going here?” Gu Siyuan looked at a storefront not far away.
Xie Qingxiao looked at the exquisitely decorated Western restaurant ahead and shook his head: “I don’t like eating Western food.”
Gu Siyuan then looked at a Japanese restaurant: “How about this one?”
“I don’t like eating raw things.” Xie Qingxiao vetoed it again.
Gu Siyuan furrowed his brows slightly. Looking up and around, he actually discovered a familiar storefront.
He had eaten there last time with the partners from those major tech companies. The taste wasn’t bad, and the environment was also very good.
He pinched Xie Qingxiao’s cheek and decided directly: “Let’s go to that one. It looks nice there.”
Xie Qingxiao looked at his boyfriend. Is he doing this on purpose? Why is he picking places that are increasingly expensive?
But… as the saying goes, ‘things shouldn’t happen more than three times.’ Would it be bad if I rejected him again? It seems Alphas care a lot about saving face…
Not far behind them, Shen Ting, who had also come out to eat, watched the intimate figures of the two and frowned slightly.
Gu Siyuan held Xie Qingxiao’s hand and walked directly to the entrance of that restaurant.
Today was New Year’s Day, and the restaurant was appropriately decorated, looking lively and attractive.
The hostess standing at the door looked at the two and said very respectfully, “Welcome. May I ask if you have a reservation?”
Xie Qingxiao finally thought of an excuse to refuse. He pulled Gu Siyuan and whispered, “This place requires a reservation. It’s New Year’s Day today, a holiday. It’s definitely been fully booked for a long time. Let’s find another place.”
Just as Gu Siyuan was about to open his mouth to say something, a malicious male voice came from behind.
“Hmph, this isn’t a place you guys should be coming to anyway.”
