FIMA Ch145: Discussion

The hall fell silent, nobody expected that in such a place, someone would dare to act so boldly, causing such a commotion.

Everyone present was either a well-known internet celebrity, a sponsor, or a host of the event, all prominent figures. In social settings like these, everything was supposed to be negotiated and discussed.

Especially with reporters still gathered outside…

Xie Fengqing was stunned for a moment, then his expression changed, his previous coldness turning into endless grievance.

He quickly moved to Gu Siyuan’s side, looking pitiful, “Why are you only here now? I was being bullied…”

Gu Siyuan’s eyes darkened as he looked at the struggling fat man on the ground, his voice icy, “He will pay for this.”

Xie Fengqing nodded fiercely, “He better end up in jail, daring to touch me with those filthy hands.”

This statement caused an uproar in the hall.

“So what if he touched you? Just an internet celebrity, putting on airs,” the fat man on the ground roared at Gu Siyuan, “And who are you, daring to hit me? I’ll make sure you regret this!”

At this moment, a middle-aged man in his forties and a young man in his twenties rushed over.

The young man helped the fat man up.

The middle-aged man turned to Xie Fengqing, “What are you trying to do? Do you want to make this situation irreparable?”

Xie Fengqing sneered, “Old man, you’re ridiculous. Didn’t you hear what this guy did? Instead of blaming the troublemaker, you’re blaming the one who exposed him.”

The man was Xie Fengqing’s father, Xie Xu, one of the hosts of the event.

Xie Xu’s face turned red with anger, “You’ve always had this terrible temper. Offending Mr. Hu like this, in the future…”

Xie Fengqing sneered, “What future? There is no future. I’ll beat this trash every time I see him.”

Xie Xu pointed at Xie Fengqing, almost unable to breathe, “You, you ungrateful wretch!”

Xie Haoran, seeing this, smiled slightly and quickly stepped forward to support him, “Dad, don’t be angry. Fengqing is still young. Don’t get mad at him.”

Xie Xu grabbed his hand and glanced at Xie Fengqing, “If you were half as sensible as your brother, I would…”

Xie Fengqing sneered, “That’s impossible. One of us will outlive the other, let’s see who drives whom to death first. Also, my mom only gave birth to me, I don’t have any brothers. If you like having a brother so much, you can call him yourself.”

Xie Xu was so angry he couldn’t speak.

Unable to argue with Xie Fengqing, Xie Xu turned his glare to Gu Siyuan. He recognized this young man; Xie Fengqing had once boldly brought him home.

Just a poor boy trying to attach himself to wealth, with shallow thoughts.

“Don’t think that by deceiving this ungrateful child, you can be arrogant in front of me. I’ve seen many like you.”

Gu Siyuan’s expression remained unchanged at these words.

A group of people wearing uniformed attire, the building’s managers, entered the banquet hall.

Xie Xu immediately directed his gaze at them, pointing at Gu Siyuan, “You arrived just in time. How could you let just anyone into the banquet hall?”

The leader surveyed the scene and then nodded at Gu Siyuan, “Mr. Gu, what’s the situation?”

Gu Siyuan said calmly, “Manager Cheng, please, I need the banquet hall’s surveillance footage and also, please call the police. Someone has sexually harassed another in a public place.”

Manager Cheng nodded, “Alright, I’ll arrange it immediately.”

Xie Xu was shocked by Manager Cheng’s attitude.

Wasn’t this young man supposed to be poor? What’s going on now?

However, there was a more pressing matter to resolve.

He turned to Xie Fengqing, “Call the police? Call the police for what? Such a small matter doesn’t need to escalate to the police.”

As the host of today’s event, having the police come would ruin everything.

Xie Fengqing sneered, “It’s none of your business. I’m the victim, and I want to call the police.”

“You…” Xie Xu’s face turned red with anger, “Do you have no shame? You’re a man, making a big deal out of this will do you no good.”

Xie Fengqing’s face changed immediately, his back trembling.

He was the victim, why should he feel ashamed?

From childhood to now, his idiot dad, no matter what happened, would always blame him first, scolding him for being disobedient, for having a bad temper…

Suddenly, a warm hand rested on his trembling back.

Gu Siyuan placed his hand on Xie Fengqing’s shoulder, coldly looking at Xie Xu, “Mr. Xie, if you’re so concerned about calling the police, maybe you should let this fat man touch you too. Then you won’t envy others and can decide whether to call the police yourself.”

This statement almost brought the house down with laughter.

Xie Fengqing was also laughing so hard that his whole body was shaking.

“You!” Xie Xu’s face turned red with anger, wanting nothing more than to tear Gu Siyuan to pieces.

Gu Siyuan, however, ignored him, coldly scanning the fat man, “However, given this fat man’s behavior, when the surveillance footage is reviewed, it’s possible there may be more than one victim.”

The fat man’s face turned pale instantly.

Xie Xu’s face also alternated between red and white.

With so many reporters outside, if the police came and watched the footage, his well-planned event could be tarnished with a bad reputation. Sponsors might even demand compensation from him. Damn this brat.

An hour later.

Gu Siyuan and Xie Fengqing walked out of the banquet hall, and the fat man was taken away by the police, having thrown a fit before leaving.

Gu Siyuan looked at his dirty pants and shoes with disgust.

Manager Cheng said, “Mr. Gu, I’ll prepare a room upstairs for you to freshen up.”

Gu Siyuan nodded, “Alright.”

Xie Fengqing said, “I’ll go with you.”

Ten minutes later.

Xie Fengqing sat on the sofa in the room, listening to the sound of water from the bathroom, with various images flashing in his mind.

Especially the back muscles he saw at Gu Siyuan’s house that day…

The water stopped.

Xie Fengqing instinctively sat up straight.

Gu Siyuan came out casually wrapped in a bathrobe, drying his hair, with just a belt loosely tied around his waist, revealing a large expanse of well-defined chest muscles.

Xie Fengqing stared in a daze.

This man looked slim in clothes but actually had the strength to easily throw that fat man.

Gu Siyuan met his gaze, “Do you love staring at me that much?”

Xie Fengqing’s cheeks reddened slightly, but he stubbornly said, “Who loves staring? It’s not like I don’t have what you have.”

Gu Siyuan glanced at his slim figure, a slight smile tugging at his lips, and said nothing, sitting on the nearby sofa to continue drying his hair.

Xie Fengqing felt deeply insulted.

His male pride was severely wounded.

Muscles, huh? What’s so great about them?

He stared at Gu Siyuan, righteously declaring, “I have muscles too, and a great body.”

“Sure, whatever you say,” Gu Siyuan responded dismissively, tossing aside the towel and picking up his phone.

This tone and the earlier smile were infuriating.

Xie Fengqing knelt on the sofa, swiftly unbuttoning his shirt and pointing to his barely visible abs, “I really do, see for yourself.”

“Alright. Very nice,” Gu Siyuan replied, focusing on his phone, ignoring Xie Fengqing’s childish behavior.

Furious, Xie Fengqing knelt forward, trying to force Gu Siyuan to look.

But he tripped over Gu Siyuan’s suit jacket on the sofa and fell onto Gu Siyuan’s shoulder.

Gu Siyuan finally reacted, turning to see how Xie Fengqing had fallen.

“Gu…” Xie Fengqing looked up just as Gu Siyuan turned.

Their lips met.

Xie Fengqing’s eyes widened.

A storm raged in his heart, his whole body trembling.

Then, he stuck out his red tongue and licked, thinking to himself: No matter how cold and hard Gu Siyuan is, his lips are still soft.

Realizing what Xie Fengqing was doing, Gu Siyuan pulled him away, “What are you doing?”

Xie Fengqing’s face reddened, but he held onto Gu Siyuan’s clothes, leaning in to lightly bite his lip, mumbling, “What do you think?”

Gu Siyuan, ever rational, quickly adjusted, his strength allowing him to take control.

He tightened his grip on Xie Fengqing’s wrist, pinning him against the back of the sofa.

Xie Fengqing couldn’t move.

Yet he wasn’t upset, his voice carrying a light laugh, “Mr. Gu, why so rough…”

But in the next moment, meeting Gu Siyuan’s gaze, he froze.

There was no joy, no aggression, no anger, only calm scrutiny and contemplation, like when he analyzed papers for him.

All of Xie Fengqing’s joy vanished, as if struck by something heavy, a pain beyond words, his body trembling.

Gu Siyuan noticed the change in his emotions, frowning, “What are you thinking?”

Xie Fengqing stared at him.

After a moment of silence, he smiled faintly, “Isn’t it obvious? I want to kiss you.”

Caught off guard by this answer, Gu Siyuan frowned deeply, “You should know, you and I… are already broken up.”

Xie Fengqing laughed, “Can’t we get back together after breaking up?”

Since arriving in this world, Gu Siyuan had heard the word “reconcile” many times, but it was always just talk, he never took it seriously.

He looked at Xie Fengqing, “You want to reconcile?”

Xie Fengqing’s expression returned to calm, “So, you don’t want to?”

If you don’t want to, why do you keep teasing me?

Why do things that lead to misunderstandings?

Gu Siyuan looked at Xie Fengqing, not answering immediately.

Despite his disinterest in emotions, he could still easily discern others’ feelings if he wanted to.

At this moment, Xie Fengqing appeared calm but deeply sorrowful.

Xie Fengqing stared at him, pressing, “Answer me, so you don’t want to? You don’t want to get back together?”

His expression was unusually dark.

Gu Siyuan met his gaze directly, not avoiding or yielding, “Sorry, I haven’t considered this.”

Even in his own previous life, he had never considered any romantic relationships.

“Heh…”

Xie Fengqing fell back against the sofa.

He took a deep breath, his Adam’s apple moving along his slender neck, as he tilted his head to meet Gu Siyuan’s gaze, “You’ve hurt me. I’m very sad right now, extremely sad. Gu Siyuan, I’m very sad…”

Gu Siyuan noticed the slight redness at the corners of Xie Fengqing’s eyes, his voice tinged with a bit of hysteria at the end, causing a strange sourness to rise in his heart.

However, his face remained cold and stern, “I apologize.”

“Gu Siyuan, can’t you be a little kinder to me?” Xie Fengqing, like an angered young beast, grabbed Gu Siyuan’s collar and fiercely bit his lips.

He had spoken to such an extent, even setting aside his most cherished pride.

Soon, Gu Siyuan tasted the metallic tang of blood, but this pain was negligible to him. He made no further moves to avoid aggravating Xie Fengqing any further.

After a moment, Xie Fengqing’s lips and tongue withdrew, his head leaning weakly against Gu Siyuan’s broad right shoulder.

Gu Siyuan glanced at him, pondering, and then asked in a calm voice, “Do you want to be in a relationship, to have a boyfriend?”

He remembered in the original novel, around this time, Xie Fengqing developed feelings for the protagonist, Ying Ning.

Xie Fengqing’s heart ached, the pain spreading through his chest and breath.

Yet, he found the question amusing, laughing lowly and nodding without hesitation, arrogantly saying, “Yeah, I want to be in a relationship. I can’t go without a man. I’ll die if I don’t kiss or have sex every day.”

Gu Siyuan’s expression remained unchanged, but his gaze deepened.

He grasped Xie Fengqing’s chin, forcing their eyes to lock, and said in a low voice, “Speak properly. Is this tone your way of throwing a tantrum with me?”

Again.

Again, why must you be so gentle yet so cold?

Xie Fengqing was completely infuriated, his delicate eyebrows raised, his eyes flashing fiercely.

“Who’s throwing a tantrum? Gu Siyuan, I don’t understand you. If you already cheated and broke up before, why do you keep teasing me, why do you keep helping me over and over, why do you make me… make me…”

Love and hate?

But unable to love or hate?

Gu Siyuan was momentarily stunned by Xie Fengqing’s intense reaction.

He raised his hand to stroke the back of Xie Fengqing’s head, his expression serious, “Xie Fengqing, what are your requirements for a boyfriend?”

“What does it matter if you know? Are you going to meet them?” Xie Fengqing scoffed, rubbing his wrist nonchalantly, “It’s the usual stuff: handsome, at least as handsome as you; rich, definitely not poorer than you; treats me well, at least not worse than you’ve treated me since we broke up…”

Gu Siyuan’s expression didn’t change, and he continued to ask, “Handsome and rich are relatively easy to measure, but how good is good enough?”

Seeing that Gu Siyuan was seriously discussing this, Xie Fengqing’s attitude became a bit more serious. He lifted his eyelids, pouting, “Good in a relationship means loyal, loving only me.”

“Loyalty is clear, but what is love? What’s the concept of love, what needs to be done? Is kissing, hugging, and having sex enough…” Gu Siyuan asked calmly, as if discussing a scientific theorem.

Xie Fengqing couldn’t quite understand him, laughing, “Do you want to set a complete standard for everything, including love?”

Gu Siyuan nodded, “Having clear standards can avoid unnecessary arguments and offenses, making life more comfortable. I can help you screen potential partners.”

Xie Fengqing’s face changed abruptly, thinking Gu Siyuan might be seriously ill.

After a moment, he chuckled softly, as if thinking of something, and asked, “Love is mutual. After you understand my requirements, what about the other person’s requirements? Do you know what they want from love?”

“Do you know if they’ll be satisfied with me? Ha… Did you break up with me because I didn’t meet your standards for a lover?”

Gu Siyuan shook his head immediately, “No, you were fine.”

Xie Fengqing indeed met his aesthetic standards. He never had financial demands, and although his temper was a bit off, it was sometimes endearing.

Xie Fengqing closed his eyes, his fingers tightening on Gu Siyuan’s clothes, “If that’s the case, what are we doing now? Why can’t we get back together? Why look for someone else?”

Gu Siyuan was momentarily stunned.

Quickly, he reiterated, “I simply haven’t considered it.”

Xie Fengqing’s eyes reddened slightly.

Which is more heartbreaking, knowing he never considered you or thinking he wasn’t satisfied with you?

But since he had spoken this far, there must be a final outcome.

He wouldn’t throw himself at Gu Siyuan again, having abandoned his pride once or twice, it wouldn’t happen a third time.

He stared at Gu Siyuan fiercely, “I’m not someone who clings. So from now on, we only have two options: either we reconcile, start dating, and stay together for life, or I leave now, and from then on, we won’t even say a word to each other. You won’t interfere with me, nor try to.”

After speaking, he waited like a lamb for slaughter, waiting for his only master to decide whether he would be put in the pot or continue running on the grass.

Gu Siyuan wasn’t overly angry.

He looked at Xie Fengqing, his voice calm, “Although I’ve never experienced love, I’ve read many books. They describe love as one of the most beautiful things in the world. Beautiful things should be cherished. You shouldn’t make such an irresponsible decision for yourself in a moment of heat.”

Perhaps it was because of an impulsive decision in the original world that Xie Fengqing ended up heartbroken and in such a predicament.

“Heh…” Xie Fengqing looked at Gu Siyuan incredulously, “Impulsive? Isn’t love all about being impulsive? It’s not solving a math problem or writing a thesis. It’s just about impulsiveness, a heartbeat. It’s about wanting to kiss you, wanting to be close to you, wanting to be with you so much that even the air smells sweet.”

After saying this, Xie Fengqing lowered his head and began to kiss Gu Siyuan’s handsome brows, straight nose, thin lips, and then his Adam’s apple…

Feeling the unfamiliar warmth and wetness on his skin, Gu Siyuan trembled slightly, and his body inevitably started to feel a bit hot.

Especially since Xie Fengqing had unbuttoned his shirt completely to show off his abs earlier, the two were now extremely close.

After a moment, Xie Fengqing raised his head and looked at Gu Siyuan, his voice slightly breathless, “Gu Siyuan, do you like kissing? How about we do this every day from now on?”

Gu Siyuan bit his lip, trying to stay calm and avoid being swayed by desire.

“Don’t do this, Xie Fengqing. You’re not in the right state of mind right now. You’re not being rational,” he lifted Xie Fengqing’s chin, looking at him like he was a mischievous child, “Decisions made under such conditions are unsuitable for both you and me.”

Seeing Gu Siyuan’s calm face again, Xie Fengqing felt an inexplicable anger and imbalance.

“What’s unsuitable about it? Gu Siyuan, are you impotent? Heh, if you are, just say so. Everyone has that thing, right? How about I take the lead?”

These words were enough to provoke any man.

Gu Siyuan’s expression changed slightly.

But soon, he returned to normal.

“We raise issues to solve them, not to create more problems. Since you’re unhappy today, let’s not discuss this now. We can talk about it when we’re both calm.”

Gu Siyuan’s voice was clear, and his tone was exceptionally calm.

Whether at school or in the business world, when he spoke like this, people would usually calm down and even feel guilty and ashamed.

But Xie Fengqing was different.

Gu Siyuan’s attitude completely infuriated him.

Because this wasn’t academic research or business negotiations; this was about feelings, about love…

Why could Gu Siyuan stay so calm from start to finish, like a passerby, coldly watching him struggle and make a fool of himself?

Xie Fengqing sneered and suddenly stood up from him, “I get it, I know your choice. There are plenty of people with two legs in this world. If I want to kiss or have sex, who can’t I do it with?”

Suddenly, Xie Fengqing felt the usually calm and steady gaze turn sharply cold, and the grip on his wrist tightened as if it would crush him.

Is he angry?

But why?

Xie Fengqing sneered; he wasn’t even angry.

“Heh, this place is quite convenient. There’s definitely someone on the street ahead. Why bother with you here? Can’t I just go out now and find someone?”

After saying this, he stepped into his shoes and headed for the door.

However, in the next moment, Xie Fengqing felt his feet leave the ground, his vision flipped, and he was carried on someone’s shoulder, then roughly thrown onto the bed.

This was a level of anger and roughness he had never seen from Gu Siyuan before.
