FI CH100: Main Story End

Spring had arrived, and the campus was lush with greenery.

The new semester had just begun, and the school’s online forum was already buzzing with several high-rise threads, all about the major events that had occurred before the new year.

The person at the center of all the topics was the same: Lin Su.

[Shocking! The Tianshi Alliance has been established, and the first president is Teacher Lin!]
[Big Reveal! Teacher Lin’s former name is “Lin Juexiao,” the legendary master is my instructor!!]
[Shocking! Shocking! Shocking! The legendary master is newly married, and his partner is the president of the Inspection Association, He Zhenling!]

The forum threads were building up heatedly.

However, the person being discussed seemed completely unaware.

Lin Su was currently walking through the school towards the main gate. He saw a familiar figure peering around, while the security guard at the gate clutched his steel fork tightly, on high alert.

As soon as Lin Su approached, Chen You’s anxious expression changed, and his eyes lit up. “Lin Su!”

The security guard glanced over—

Chen You was unaware of the shock his casual use of the great master’s name caused. He pointed to the guard. “I’m here to see him.”

The guard stood at attention and bowed. “President Lin!”

Chen You was shocked by his respectful attitude.

Lin Su waved his hand peacefully. “At school, just call me Teacher.”

The guard replied, “Yes, Teacher Lin!”

Lin Su turned to the stunned Chen You. “Class Monitor, come on in.”

“Oh… oh, okay.”

The two entered the school together.

Along the way, students cast eager and admiring glances at them. “Hello, Teacher Lin!” “Legendary Teacher!”

A few curious gazes also fell on Chen You.

Chen You’s heart was filled with mixed feelings. He was both amazed and proud. “You! You said you got into the Capital Tianshi Academy, but you never said you were here to be a teacher—!!”

“…”

Lin Su tilted his head, trying to feign ignorance. “I didn’t say?”

“No, you didn’t!!” Chen You clutched his chest. “Sigh, but since you’re the president of the Tianshi Alliance, it’s only natural for you to be a teacher.” His face fell a little. “How can the gap between people be so big…”

Lin Su fell silent for a moment, then patted his shoulder to change the subject. “Class Monitor, look at that fountain. It uses the principles of the five elements to spray water.”

Chen You’s attention was instantly diverted.

“Wow!! That’s amazing…!”

“And a sundial! What’s that floating thing over there? Wow… wow wow!!”

Xuenima stood on his head and commented, [Granny Chen visiting the Grand View Garden.]

Lin Su gently sealed its mouth.

When they reached the teaching building, he happened to have a class.

Lin Su stopped at the classroom door. “Class Monitor, you don’t mind listening to one of my classes before touring the school, do you?”

Chen You was enthusiastic. “Sure, sure!”

He had planned to find a seat in the front row, but as soon as he followed Lin Su in, he saw the classroom was already packed with students. The front rows were crowded, with only a few scattered seats left in the very back.

Chen You was shocked again. …So, so many people!

He quickly grabbed a seat.

The bell rang, and Lin Su began his lecture.

Strong, clear chalk characters appeared on the blackboard.

After his wedding, he had added a few red outer robes to his wardrobe. A snow-white shirt peeked out from under the wide, golden-red sleeves. A pendant in the shape of a cloud’s back hung down, just brushing against the slit at the back of his robe.

As Chen You listened from the back row, he overheard a whispered conversation nearby:

“Teacher Lin is so good-looking…”

“He’s wearing red because he’s newly married, right? Sigh, don’t even think about it. I heard President He is extremely possessive, the kind who would draw his sword…”

“Who did you hear that from?”

“President Bai!”

Chen You was speechless.

He sighed inwardly. The open and hidden struggles at the center of power in the Tianshi world are all used in places like this. Although… it’s not wrong, I guess!

Fortunately, the chatting stopped after a few sentences.

Chen You also brought his attention back and focused on the lecture.

After the class ended, the students filed out.

Lin Su stayed at the lectern to erase the blackboard.

Chen You squeezed through the crowd, and Lin Su turned his head. “Class Monitor, how did you feel?”

Chen You inhaled, dazed. “Like a dream.”

He never thought he’d one day be able to attend a class at the Capital Tianshi Academy… and that it would be his high school classmate’s class…!

Lin Su glanced at the time. “It’s almost noon. Let me take you to the cafeteria for lunch.”

Chen You’s spirits revived again. “Wow!!”

It was lunchtime, and the cafeteria was also packed with people.

Just as they arrived at the entrance, they saw Bai Xinwen standing a few steps away with his back to them.

As Lin Su walked over, he heard a voice:

“Xiao Mei, Xiao Mei, perform the midday campus patrol.”

“…” He paused his steps.

Just then, Bai Xinwen turned around, revealing the housekeeper with a deeply troubled expression behind him. He saw Lin Su and greeted him happily, “Oh, little brother Lin, you’re just in time!”

He reached out and patted the housekeeper. “The campus security needs a lunch break. I’ll have him patrol, saves us a shift rotation.”

The housekeeper stared at them gloomily.

Chen You looked and was suddenly shocked. “Isn’t that the security guard from our high school!”

Lin Su was stunned. “!”

Xuenima was also shocked. [Ah, I forgot about that!]

In the brief silence, the housekeeper’s eyes flickered.

The next moment, Bai Xinwen turned his head and praised, “Yes, it’s the school’s security guard. Young man, you’re very polite, even calling an artificial intelligence ‘Uncle’.”

Chen You’s mouth fell open, and he turned to Lin Su. Huh?

Lin Su’s expression was calm. “That’s right. This is a model based on our high school’s security guard.” He then dismissed the housekeeper. “Xiao Guan, Xiao Guan, go on patrol.”

Bai Xinwen said, “…Little brother, his name is Xiao Mei.”

The housekeeper let out a mournful wail and turned to leave.

After the figure departed, Chen You patted his chest. “Sigh, I knew it. I thought the security guard from high school had followed us all the way to university.”

Xuenima whispered, [The Class Monitor once again brushes past the truth.]

Lin Su said gently, “How could that be.”

With the close call of his identity being exposed over, he took him to eat.

The cafeteria was full of people queuing.

Lin Su went directly to the faculty window. The server, upon seeing it was “Teacher Lin,” blushed with excitement. “Teacher Lin is here for lunch! Oh, is this your friend? What would you like to eat?”

Chen You was flattered. “Some chicken wings, please. Thank you, master.”

A plate of rice was piled high with several large chicken wings and pork knuckle, a truly luxurious meal.

On the way back to the table, he received a trail of envious glances.

“Wow, so many chicken wings…”

“Which class is that student from? Hey, he doesn’t seem to be from our school. Is he a friend of Teacher Lin?”

“Wuwuwu, I’m so jealous…”

Chen You felt like he was walking on clouds, saying lightly, “Ah… is this the treatment you get when you hang out with a big shot? So this is the daily life of a big shot. I feel like I’m dreaming…”

Lin Su reminded him, “The chicken wings in your dream are getting cold, Class Monitor.”

“…”

Chen You snapped back to reality and began to wolf down his food.

After lunch, Lin Su showed him around the school a bit more.

It wasn’t until after three o’clock that he saw Chen You off.

Chen You had experienced half a day of “the big shot’s daily life” and practically floated away in a dream-like state.

After seeing Chen You off, Lin Su returned to his office.

He had no more classes in the afternoon and was preparing to pack up and leave.

Just as he pushed open the office door, he saw a familiar figure sitting inside.

He Zhenling heard the sound and looked up.

He was still in his uniform, likely having come from the association. Lin Su blinked.

“How did you get here so quietly?”

“Did you need me to arrive with lanterns and banners?”

He Zhenling said as he stood up and walked over to him.

He looked down at the man’s bright, golden-red robe and hooked Lin Su’s hand. “Teacher Kun Kun?”

Lin Su’s knuckles curled, and he lowered his eyes. “Sigh… we’re still at school, don’t be so improper.”

“How is it improper?” He Zhenling lifted his hand and kissed it. “If I don’t call you ‘Teacher,’ what should I call you?” His gaze lingered for a few more seconds. “With you wearing this, have any students been discussing our marriage…”

Lin Su cut him off. “Zero people discussing it.”

He Zhenling showed a hint of disappointment.

As they were standing there, a knock came from the office door.

He Zhenling let go of his hand, and Lin Su said, “Come in.”

The door opened, and a student walked in with his homework.

“Teacher Lin, I’ve made up for my…” He had just started speaking when he saw He Zhenling and gasped in shock. “P-President He!”

He Zhenling gave a faint “mhm.”

Lin Su said, “Just put the homework on the desk.”

The student carefully placed it down.

As he was about to leave, he glanced at the two of them again, then mustered his courage and said, “President He, Teacher Lin, happy wedding!”

Lin Su was speechless.

He Zhenling’s lips twitched slightly, and he let out a soft “mhm.”

After a two-second pause, he suddenly reached into his uniform pocket, pulled out a piece of candy, and handed it over. “Thank you. Wedding candy.”

Lin Su was stunned. ???

His breath hitched. Holy horse, why would He Zhenling carry wedding candy around with him?

Xuenima was numb. [Probably so he can conveniently spread the news.]

The student took it, flattered. “Thank you, President He!” He then let out a “wow…” and joyfully left the room.

The office door clicked shut.

Lin Su turned his head, his gaze fixed. “You…”

He Zhenling said casually, “I just happened to have some.” He added, “They are all friends who come with blessings. It would be too impolite not to share a piece of wedding candy.”

“…”

After a moment, Lin Su gave in indulgently. Fine.

“It’s a good thing we didn’t get married in the summer, otherwise who knows how sticky your pocket would have become.”

He Zhenling was speechless.

Lin Su then caressed his handsome face. “Let’s go.” He glanced to the side. The office was quiet and empty, with only shafts of sunlight filtering through the blinds.

His face grew slightly warm, and he pecked He Zhenling on the lips. “…Didn’t you come specially to pick me up?”

The man before him’s breath suddenly grew chaotic.

A hand slipped under the slit of his robe and pressed against the small of his back. He Zhenling kissed him back, his lips curving. “I did.”

Outside the school, the familiar car was parked by the road.

After getting married, the two rarely had Old Zhang drive them for their private outings.

Right now, He Zhenling was in the driver’s seat.

His jacket was off, leaving him in a tight-fitting undershirt. His sleeves were rolled up to his forearms as he gripped the steering wheel and smoothly started the private car.

Lin Su fastened his seatbelt. “Let’s go, to the Alliance.”

The car, which had just started, braked sharply.

He Zhenling took a shallow breath and paused for a moment. “Today is Friday.”

Lin Su was pleased. “Yes, we have tomorrow off. If we want to go to the Alliance, we can only…” He stopped mid-sentence, suddenly realizing, and turned his head. “You… you want a big meal?”

He Zhenling chuckled and started the car again. “Isn’t it obvious?”

Lin Su’s face flushed. “We just had one last week, and you’re still not satisfied.” He pressed a hand to his chest. “You really have a lion’s appetite.”

“It’s been a whole week.” He Zhenling tapped his knuckles, his side profile seemingly calm, but his breathing was suppressed. “…Wanting it, isn’t that normal?”

Lin Su flushed at his direct words.

He turned his head away and pressed his legs together.

The person beside him sensed it keenly. “…Are you feeling it?”

“…” Lin Su stared back. “It’s tolerable. What about you?”

He Zhenling held the steering wheel calmly and smiled. “I am.”

Lin Su’s heart skipped a beat! Unable to resist, he turned his head away. Holy horse, ever since he became fully flawed, little He has been getting more and more fiery…

Xuenima?

His consciousness was silent.

Lin Su sighed. Sigh, no one to listen to my troubles.

An hour later, the car stopped at the entrance of the Alliance.

The two got out and walked through the main door.

Lin Su was still carrying his newly issued Tianshi certificate. As they entered, the smart system announced:

“Beep! Welcome back, S-rank Tianshi Mr. Lin Su, and S-rank Tianshi Mr. He Zhenling.”

In the bright hall, members looked over. “President! President He.”

Lin Su waved a hand in greeting. “Hi.”

As they were walking in, they ran into a familiar face.

Since joining the Alliance, Tang Yin had spent most of his time on fieldwork. Suddenly bumping into Lin Su, both of them paused. Especially Tang Yin—

He remembered the event: challenging him, offering a “helping hand,” and then being shocked to learn his identity. Now he had been recruited by him, and the other man had become his boss…

Tang Yin’s face flushed. “L-long time no see.”

Lin Su recalled, “It’s you, Tang person.”

Tang Yin was speechless.

He looked at him gloomily. “My name is Tang Leng.”

This interruption actually made him feel more at ease.

He glanced at Lin Su a couple of times, wondering if he should chat about the past. Suddenly, a faint voice came from the side, “Do you want some candy?”

Turning his head, he saw He Zhenling with a cool expression.

Tang Yin was momentarily stunned. “…Huh?”

He Zhenling skillfully pulled some out. “Wedding candy. For some good luck.”

Tang Yin accepted it. “…Uh, okay, thank you?”

Lin Su was speechless.

Tang Yin drifted away in a daze, clutching two pieces of candy.

After he left, the two of them entered the elevator.

The elevator doors closed with a “clang,” and Lin Su looked at him deeply. “What are you doing?”

He Zhenling’s expression didn’t change. “An old friend. Can’t leave them out.”

Lin Su watched him for a few seconds, then suddenly reached into He Zhenling’s pocket. His hand was immediately submerged in a pile of candy. “…”

He took a sharp breath—

After a moment, he sighed helplessly. “Sigh… there’s really nothing I can do about you.” Lin Su then grabbed half of the candy and stuffed it into his own pocket. “Next time, let me hand it out.”

He Zhenling’s lips pursed, his gaze warming. “Mhm.”

There were many reports and tasks piled up at the Alliance.

Lin Su spent the afternoon in the office looking through them, grabbing He Zhenling and Xuenima to do the hard labor with him.

It wasn’t until night fell that they had mostly finished.

The sky outside was dark, and the bright lights of the office reflected two figures on the glass window.

Lin Su put down the files and stretched.

“It’s already this late.”

He stood up and pushed open the glass door to the terrace outside.

He Zhenling followed him out and stood by his side. “It’s past nine.”

Lin Su said regretfully, “You won’t get your good meal today.”

A laugh came from beside him. He Zhenling lowered his eyes. “Since you know you won’t get it, don’t be so… flirty outside.”

Lin Su turned his gaze back, still feeling a bit wistful.

He looked down for a while, reminiscing, “Since the Alliance was founded, I haven’t been able to cause trouble for a long time.”

He Zhenling’s brow twitched slightly. “You want to stir up storms again?”

Lin Su sighed lightly. “Inspector General He certainly wouldn’t allow it.”

As he finished, he heard a moment of silence from beside him, then:

“There’s nothing not to allow.”

Lin Su turned his head. “?”

Under the night sky, He Zhenling’s gaze was calm and gentle. “You have your own principles to uphold. Just do it.” He took Lin Su’s hand, their fingers intertwining. “I am the Inspector General, and you are the Lord of Fate.”

“I represent the law, and you represent morality.”

Lin Su’s eyes widened slightly, his breath catching.

He Zhenling looked at him and smiled. “Your bottom line was always meant to be guarded by me.”

His heartbeat thundered in his ears.

Lin Su met his gaze for a few seconds, then turned his head away, using the night to hide his flushing face. “Then we truly are a match made in heaven.”

He Zhenling’s lips curved. “Indeed, we are a match made in heaven.”

On the terrace with the gentle night breeze, their clasped hands did not let go.

After a moment, Lin Su sighed again. “But perhaps, there’s no need to stir up storms anymore.”

He pointed downwards. “Look.”

He Zhenling followed his finger and turned his head.

Looking out from the terrace, the night was filled with the lights of thousands of homes, connected like a field of stars. And behind them, the Tianshi Alliance was brightly lit, illuminating the entire night sky.

The golden-red hem of Lin Su’s robe fluttered, like a spark taking wing.

“The future of the Tianshi world no longer needs a single person.”

It was being pushed forward by the convergence of thousands of sparks.

He Zhenling turned back, his eyes also seeming to be suddenly filled with light. He lifted Lin Su’s hand and lowered his head to kiss it.

“Then what about your future?”

Lin Su corrected, “It’s ‘our’ future.”

He Zhenling smiled. “Then what about our future?”

Lin Su turned to look at the night, his eyes reflecting the scenery. “Of course, it will also be like this—”

As brilliant as the stars, a bright flame shining forever.
