Chapter 96: “Can I have a little more?…”

The silent night was deserted.

With the doors and windows tightly shut, the separate living room connected to the suite’s entrance was quiet. The arrival of a person did not disturb the silence.

However, the moment he stepped inside, Yan Xingzhou’s steps clearly paused. Sensing something, he immediately and quickly closed the door.

At the same time, an invisible barrier instantly and hermetically sealed the surroundings.

Such a reaction seemed quite out of place in the calm, but after a moment, he continued to walk deeper into the suite without hesitation.

The door to the innermost bedroom had long since been switched to a fingerprint lock.

With the touch of a fingertip, the door opened with a soft “click.”

It was rare for such a sound to not attract the attention of the person in the room.

Simultaneously, the gush of contamination radiation that rushed out made Yan Xingzhou’s already weary brow furrow even tighter.

It was a good thing he couldn’t shake the feeling and chose to come back for a look; it seemed his worst fears had come to pass.

As the largest source of contamination at the moment, the person on the bed murmured softly but did not wake.

But looking at the half-damp red hair, it was clear that after a busy day, he had washed it and fallen asleep without even taking the time to dry it.

Watching the figure on the bed turn over, Yan Xingzhou sighed silently, took off his jacket, placed it aside, and slowly walked to the head of the bed.

Apparently, to avoid having the contamination radiation detected, Lin Xi had somehow acquired several contamination radiation blockers, and the window was also meticulously sealed. Yet, despite pulling a fast one right under the United Administration’s nose, he was still able to sleep so soundly. This excessive level of relaxation still left Yan Xingzhou at a loss for words.

He stood still at the head of the bed for a moment. Seeing Lin Xi kick the blanket to the floor as he turned over, Yan Xingzhou sighed lightly again, bent down to pick it up, and was about to gently cover the man again. Unexpectedly, before he had a chance to react, he saw the figure on the bed move like a bolt of lightning.

Along with the movement came a surge of intense killing intent.

This was an aura that was entirely non-human, suffocating, as if death had closed in in an instant.

The world spun, and without any resistance, Yan Xingzhou was pushed directly onto the bed.

He could feel a sharp fingertip scratch a cut on his neck. Accompanied by the faint, spreading scent of gunpowder, the moonlight revealed a pair of strange pupils close by. The slightly vertical pupils swirled with an unusual light, and the golden eyes were filled with bloodshot veins, as if ready at any moment to transform into the crimson he had seen before. The gaze at that moment was like looking at prey that was already dead.

With this motion, the blankets were all thrown to the floor. In the silence, only their prolonged eye contact remained.

Finally, the coldness in Lin Xi’s eyes flickered, as if he was at last returning to his senses from a half-asleep, vigilant state. “Yan Xingzhou?”

The next second, he spotted the wound he had left on the other’s neck. Before he could get an answer, his expression had already shifted to one of extreme speechlessness. “You don’t even give a heads-up, sneaking into my room in the middle of the night. Are you really not afraid that I’ll accidentally kill you?”

“You wouldn’t,” Yan Xingzhou said, remaining pinned to the bed and looking straight into Lin Xi’s eyes, his brow slightly raised. “Besides, I’m not that easy to kill.”

He reached up to gently stroke the bloody mark on his neck, about to use his other hand to get a tissue to wipe it clean, but his wrist was caught by Lin Xi.

The next second, the blood on his fingertips was licked clean by a warm tongue.

Lin Xi squinted as if he wanted more, his gaze drifting slightly downward. A very dangerous signal flickered in his smiling eyes. “Can I have a little more?”

“…”

After a brief silence, Yan Xingzhou nodded. “Of course.”

Although it was phrased as a question, the way Lin Xi pinned Yan Xingzhou to the bed left no room for escape. It was obvious that no matter the answer, the result would have been the same. Just as Yan Xingzhou had realized upon entering, Lin Xi had likely overindulged in crystal cores within the rift. While this allowed him to recover quickly from the state brought on by his experience in Country A, it also pushed certain desires to their peak.

And now, the Yan Xingzhou before him was, in his eyes, an extremely delicious prey.

“Coming to find me at this hour means you walked right into this yourself.” Lin Xi’s gaze remained fixed on Yan Xingzhou’s neck. As he leaned down and slowly licked the wound, he could clearly feel the strong body beneath him tense up, which made him chuckle softly. “So you should have been prepared before you came, right, President Yan?”

The craving for the scent of blood had clearly transcended the normal human range, but looking at Lin Xi like this, Yan Xingzhou’s eyes showed no ripples of emotion. Instead of answering, he asked, “If I hadn’t come, what were you planning to do?”

Lin Xi met his gaze and answered nonchalantly, “Maybe just sleep until morning.”

Though the answer was simple, they both knew that the process of sleeping would have been far more agonizing than imagined.

Yan Xingzhou had wanted to say more, but the words caught in his throat, leaving only a very soft gasp.

In this position, Lin Xi easily buried his face in the crook of Yan Xingzhou’s neck, seeming to enjoy his scent, or perhaps he simply liked the smell of human blood. He methodically licked every corner of the wound clean, as if with incomparable tenderness.

He was clearly trying very hard not to bite down on Yan Xingzhou’s neck. After repeatedly making sure not a drop was wasted, he greedily propped himself up and looked down lazily at Yan Xingzhou. “Assistant Ju said you went abroad these past few days?”

As he spoke, his hand moved downwards, very naturally unzipping Yan Xingzhou’s black suit trousers.

A crisp, faint sound broke the silence of the night.

“…The global situation is a bit severe right now. Many places need the equipment our group produces, and demand exceeds supply, so we can only make appropriate adjustments.” Yan Xingzhou’s words paused subtly for a few seconds as Lin Xi’s hand roamed. Under his relatively steady breathing, the end of his words were already faintly tight. “I just happened to have business in J City today. I have a flight to N City tomorrow morning, mmmph.”

Along with the rhythmic movements, Yan Xingzhou slowly closed his eyes. The fluctuations of his supernatural energy, which he could finally no longer suppress, began to clamor and mix with the contamination radiation that Lin Xi had already fully released.

“Just happened to have business in J City?” Lin Xi’s voice held a light laugh. “President Yan, what kind of business could keep you so busy that you only just now remembered to come find me? Care to share?”

His attitude was very pleasant, if one ignored his excessively malicious actions.

Pressed so closely together, one could clearly feel the other’s body had completely tensed up.

Everything was poised and ready.

Yan Xingzhou’s somewhat intermittent breaths became the clearest background noise in the state of calm madness. Under Lin Xi’s clearly deliberate seduction and teasing, he tried his best to maintain a steady tone with his last shred of sanity. “It’s all… company business… you wouldn’t… be interested…”

Lin Xi glanced down at Yan Xingzhou, his mismatched eyes showing a demonic smile in the scattered moonlight. “I wouldn’t be interested?”

His hand movements stopped without warning. As his fingers curled and tightened, he heard the man below him let out a deep groan through clenched teeth after extreme restraint.

Lin Xi’s fingertips gently caressed Yan Xingzhou’s face, moving down bit by bit, before giving a light flick at his jaw. “President Yan, has anyone ever told you before that you are really—very—bad—at—lying?”
