GBROTAH CH82
6:30 in the morning—
By the time the sharp, heart-stopping alarm went off, Shen Bianye was already up and had finished washing.
He was the only one living in his dorm room, so he didn’t need to be quiet when he got up early.
Shen Bianye quickly finished washing up. When he picked up his phone, there were only two lonely messages on the screen.
X: “Morning, baby.”
X: “Is baby awake yet?”
The messages were sent at 6:10. It was normal not to get a reply after twenty minutes.
With that thought, the person who never brought his phone into the academic building during class made an exception and put the phone in his pocket before heading out the door.
The bell had just rung, and the dormitory corridor was still quiet. As he walked out, there was no one else on the path.
The sky was gray and hazy, and a cold wind blew straight down his neck.
Shen Bianye held his backpack on his shoulder with one hand and his phone in the other as he walked towards the cafeteria.
X: “It’s very cold today. Baby should wear more.”
After sending the message, Shen Bianye’s long forefinger swiped up and down the screen, an action that seemed both bored and urgent.
Only when he was certain he wouldn’t get a reply anytime soon did he put his phone away.
The prices at their school cafeteria were quite reasonable. Shen Bianye ordered a six-yuan bowl of plain noodles, finished it in a few bites, and then headed to the classroom.
The classroom was also empty. Shen Bianye turned on the lights, put his backpack down on his seat, but didn’t sit down himself. Instead, he picked up the water cup from Xie Yuanxing’s desk.
He casually took the cup to the direct drinking water dispenser outside, twisted open the lid, and saw that there was still a sip of water left inside.
The water in the cup sloshed gently, a small mouthful like a spring, with fine, dense ripples.
Shen Bianye’s Adam’s apple bobbed. He suddenly felt thirsty.
His hand holding the cup tightened silently, his knuckles turning white. The movement was subtle, like a struggle with a secret and shameful desire.
Shen Bianye slowly raised the cup. As he looked down, he saw the pair of cartoon eyes on the cup.
It was as if they were staring at him.
Shen Bianye: ……
“Be careful when you get water. Don’t scratch or scuff my cup.”
“This cup?”
“My mom bought it. She said she got one with eyes to watch if I’m drinking water. Isn’t it cute?”
The words Xie Yuanxing had said when he handed him the cup, smugly victorious after winning their bet, flashed through his mind.
Shen Bianye’s hand holding the cup suddenly felt a little hot.
As if he had been caught by his future mother-in-law.
Even though there was no one in the entire corridor, Shen Bianye felt a wave of embarrassment, as if he were being watched.
He let out a breath, sighed, and reached out to pour out the remaining water in the cup. Forget it. Secretly taking a sip of water from Xie Yuanxing’s cup was indeed quite rude.
Not just rude, but also very perverted.
Shen Bianye had differentiated into an Alpha at fifteen. It had been almost three years now. Before meeting Xie Yuanxing, his susceptibility periods were easy to get through. After meeting Xie Yuanxing, they became torture.
The prolonged lack of comfort made him very irritable.
He had already investigated; Xie Yuanxing’s predicted differentiation result at birth was Omega.
Xie Yuanxing was about to turn eighteen. During this time, his glands should be slowly developing. Before he successfully differentiated, a faint scent of pheromones would also be released.
That scent was very light; ordinary alphas and omegas couldn’t smell it. But due to the special nature of his own differentiation, Shen Bianye could smell a little.
And because Xie Yuanxing’s glands were not yet mature and his differentiation hadn’t truly begun, the pheromone scent was not under Xie Yuanxing’s own control.
It would linger on things Xie Yuanxing had touched, drunk from, or bitten.
Shen Bianye was craving it desperately. He looked at the water being poured from the mouth of Xie Yuanxing’s cup with regret in his eyes.
The paper Xie Yuanxing had thrown at him was a gift to him; he could sniff it as he pleased.
But the cup was different. It was Xie Yuanxing’s. If he did it, it would be very rude.
If only Xie Yuanxing could be his.
Then he could lick Xie Yuanxing clean, like licking a lollipop until it was gone.
Shen Bianye lowered his eyes, hiding the dark gloom within them. He reached out, filled the cup with clean water, and brought it back to the classroom.
His phone, set to vibrate in his pocket, had been waiting for a response that never came.
It wasn’t until the person who always walked into the classroom just as the morning reading session began appeared at the door that Shen Bianye was certain Xie Yuanxing had no intention of replying to him.
He didn’t know if he didn’t want to reply, or if he just hadn’t seen the messages.
Shen Bianye’s eyes darkened as he watched Xie Yuanxing walk over. He silently pulled at the corner of his lips. Bad baby. Wants to tease me, but isn’t willing to pay any attention to me.
After Xie Yuanxing sat down, he noticed Shen Bianye staring at him. He blinked, feeling a little guilty. “Why are you staring at me?”
“Are you nuts?” (Literally: Have a cat-sickness?)
Shen Bianye didn’t know what he was thinking, his mind hadn’t even caught up.
Realizing what he had just said, he was about to say something to fix it, but Xie Yuanxing had already shrunk back a large distance, practically sitting outside his desk.
Seeing Xie Yuanxing’s furrowed brow and wary eyes, he understood that Xie Yuanxing had probably misunderstood.
Tsk, his image in Xie Yuanxing’s mind…
Shen Bianye didn’t rush to explain. He raised an eyebrow. “What?”
“Scared?”
Xie Yuanxing looked at him, wanting to speak but hesitating, then finally speaking. “You… you should keep yourself clean.”
Shen Bianye: “I’ve never been in a relationship, never slept with anyone, never held hands with anyone else, never kissed anyone. How am I not keeping myself clean?”
Xie Yuanxing’s dark eyes widened a bit. “Then you…”
Why would he randomly say he has that kind of disease?
Could it be…
Xie Yuanxing was thin-skinned. He leaned closer to Shen Bianye again mysteriously and lowered his voice. “Do you have an illness, ahem, some kind of addiction?”
“I heard that’s a kind of illness too.”
Shen Bianye was stunned for a moment, then burst out laughing. His voice was low, and his muffled laugh was actually a bit sexy. “Maybe I do.”
“My baby might have a hard time.”
Xie Yuanxing blinked blankly. “Your baby?”
Shen Bianye: “Mhm, I’m in a relationship.”
“He’s very cute. If there’s a chance, I’ll introduce you two.”
He knew him all too well!
Xie Yuanxing was stunned and shocked, his dark eyes wide like a startled cat.
He hadn’t expected Shen Bianye to actually take an online romance that had just started yesterday seriously.
What he expected even less was…
What did he mean by “My baby might have a hard time”?!
Who had agreed to that?!
Xie Yuanxing’s fur stood on end, but he couldn’t say anything. He stared at Shen Bianye, his mouth opening and closing, but he swallowed back the curses.
He was so angry that he slammed his water cup on Shen Bianye’s desk with a thud. “Who’s interested in your relationship? Get me some water.”
Shen Bianye: “It’s already filled. Didn’t you feel the weight when you picked it up?”
Xie Yuanxing glared at him, fierce. “What do you mean by that?”
“Are you calling me stupid?”
“Of course I know there’s water in it, but it’s already cold. How am I supposed to drink it?”
Shen Bianye glanced at the clock on the front wall. “The morning reading session is about to start. Can I get it for you after it’s over?”
He knew the water in the cup wouldn’t get cold that quickly. Xie Yuanxing was just trying to vent his temper.
Like a little cat with its fur on end.
Very cute.
Xie Yuanxing was in the middle of his tantrum and couldn’t care less about these things. “No. A bet is a bet. You promised that whenever I want to drink, you have to get water for me.”
Shen Bianye was about to get up when he remembered something. He said to Xie Yuanxing, “I just filled the water. It’s not cold. You can drink it.”
Xie Yuanxing said stiffly, “If I say it’s cold, it’s cold.”
“Are you going or not?”
Shen Bianye felt a little like laughing but held it back, coaxing, “Take a sip first. If it’s not right, I’ll go get more.”
Xie Yuanxing reluctantly opened the cup and took a sip. The warm water flowed down his throat, warm and comfortable.
He put on a straight, handsome little face and said against his conscience, “It’s not right. It’s cold.”
Shen Bianye nodded. “Then pour this cup of water into my cup.”
Xie Yuanxing frowned at him. “What for?”
Shen Bianye: “It costs money to get water. Let’s be frugal.”
Xie Yuanxing pouted but agreed.
Shen Bianye took his cup and poured the water into his own empty one.
If Xie Yuanxing had looked a little closer, he would have noticed that the spot on the cup he was pouring from was exactly where he had just drunk.
Without any deviation, it was precisely the spot his lips had just touched a moment before.
Shen Bianye went to get water one minute before the morning reading session started. No matter how fast he was, he was still late when he returned.
The language teacher on the podium said a few words to him, not too harshly. When he returned to his seat, Xie Yuanxing was smiling with the corners of his lips turned up. His beautiful dark eyes seemed to be sprinkled with fine light, and the small beauty mark under his eye was like a black star.
Shen Bianye looked at him, feeling a little urge to lick it.
He placed the water Xie Yuanxing wanted on Xie Yuanxing’s desk, reached out, twisted open his own water cup, and took a sip.
On the podium, the language teacher was asking them to take out their books and recite the text.
Shen Bianye took his book from his drawer, his lowered eyes slowly filling with irritation.
Nothing. Still nothing.
The water also doesn’t have Xie Yuanxing’s scent.
How can I get just a little taste? I’m going crazy.
After the morning language reading session ended, Shen Bianye disappeared for a few minutes. When he came back, he had a lollipop in his mouth.
The two pockets of his jacket were bulging. A pull revealed they were full of lollipops.
Shen Bianye passed one to Xie Yuanxing. “Want one?”
Xie Yuanxing was completely bewildered. “No.”
“Are you crazy? Why would you go buy lollipops after the morning reading?”
“And you bought so many?”
Shen Bianye’s eyes were dark as he practically stared at Xie Yuanxing. He sucked on the lollipop. It was very sweet, but it couldn’t relieve his irritation.
“I have a bit of hypoglycemia,” he said.
Xie Yuanxing: ……
Since it was hypoglycemia, then it seemed normal to be in such a hurry to buy them.
Thinking about how he had just tricked Shen Bianye and gotten him a scolding, and now this person was, for all intents and purposes, sick.
Xie Yuanxing kindly reminded him, “Class is about to start. Are you going to eat it in class?”
“I’ve never heard you had hypoglycemia before either.”
Shen Bianye crunched up the lollipop and swallowed it, his tone strange. “I just found out too.”
“If I don’t eat some, I won’t be able to bear it anymore.”
“You wouldn’t want…”
His tone became even stranger, almost sticky. “Me to faint, would you?”
You wouldn’t want me to lick you instead of a lollipop, would you, baby?
Xie Yuanxing was inexplicably made a little uncomfortable by his gaze. His curled eyelashes trembled as he avoided his eyes. Feeling that he had lost the upper hand, his tone became a little heavier. “Serves you right if you faint.”
“I hope you do faint.”
Shen Bianye seemed to laugh. “Is that so?”
If you hope for it, I’ll be very excited, baby.
