Chapter 137: The BOSS is always acting up (9, 10)

When that little spirit’s feet were grasped, the flush of embarrassment on their cheeks was something he could never forget.

He even wondered if, with a bit more force, those watery eyes would soon brim with tears.

Damn, they were so beautiful!

Flame Dragon felt as if his body had been infected by a virus again, his heart pounding wildly, sending tingles through his eardrums.

Unable to endure it any longer, he sat up restlessly, running his hands through his messy red hair. Then he rushed to Ying Zhao’s room, wanting to see what that little spirit was up to.

Who would have thought that when he arrived, he’d see Ying Zhao lying on the bed, sound asleep.

Here he was, tossing and turning, losing sleep, yet the person responsible for his insomnia was snoring peacefully. Flame Dragon couldn’t help but feel a little angry.

But upon hearing Ying Zhao’s soft breathing, he instinctively lightened his steps, not wanting to wake him.

Watching Ying Zhao’s serene sleeping face, Flame Dragon couldn’t suppress a surge of affection bubbling in his heart. Without thinking, he leaned down and planted a kiss on Ying Zhao’s brow.

The sensation of skin touching skin made Flame Dragon’s heart tremble, and he kissed Ying Zhao’s cheek again, right where Ying Zhao had kissed him earlier that day.

As he raised his head, he noticed the person on the bed’s eyelashes flutter slightly. This made Flame Dragon feel a wave of nervousness, like a guilty thief.

But then he thought, “I’m the master. What’s wrong with kissing my servant? They should be grateful!”

After bolstering his courage, Flame Dragon carefully kissed Ying Zhao several more times, then grinned like a fool.

His little servant was so adorable, with soft cheeks that were incredibly pleasant to kiss. Flame Dragon had never imagined that simply watching someone could bring such deep joy and contentment.

Resting his chin on his hand, Flame Dragon half-knelt by Ying Zhao’s bed, watching him for a long time, unwilling to leave. Finally, he slipped into Ying Zhao’s bed quietly and embraced him in his arms.

Thanks to the luxury of the hotel, the beds in both rooms were large enough for two people. Even with the sneaky addition of Flame Dragon, there was plenty of space.

As soon as he lay down, however, Flame Dragon pouted in dissatisfaction, feeling that Ying Zhao’s bed was more comfortable than his own.

That cunning spirit! He must have known this bed was cozier, which is why he let me take the bigger room.

Flame Dragon didn’t realize that although the in-game decor differed, the comfort of the beds was exactly the same.

The only real difference was the person beside him.

Flame Dragon shot a pretend glare at the person in his arms, but his mood softened when Ying Zhao subconsciously snuggled closer, nestling his entire body into Flame Dragon’s embrace.

“Hmph, you little rascal!” Flame Dragon smirked, coldly snorting in his mind as he kissed Ying Zhao’s nose tip.

Letting out a contented sigh, the dragon lay back comfortably. The cool fragrance lingering in the air lulled him into a peaceful sleep, and soon he drifted off into a sweet dream.

In his dream, the little spirit was much more obedient than usual, always listening to him and admiring him.

Flame Dragon dreamed that Ying Zhao hugged him, pouting his lips as he kissed him repeatedly, all while confessing, “Your Highness Flame Dragon, Yingying likes you so much! The most, the most, the most!”

Then, after speaking, the cunning little spirit shrank down, becoming as small as a finger, and flew into his palm.

Flame Dragon gazed at the tiny spirit, overwhelmed with affection, and leaned in to kiss the little Ying. With just one kiss, he could kiss every part of the little spirit, making his heart overflow with satisfaction.

The tiny Ying Zhao seemed even cuter, blushing with shyness but still asking for more kisses.

Flame Dragon thought to himself, as a good master, how could he not fulfill his little servant’s small request? So, he kissed Xiao Ying all night long.

The next morning, when Ying Zhao woke up, this was the scene that greeted him.

Flame Dragon had somehow snuck into his bed and was hugging him, still clearly lost in dreamland.

It was unclear what this guy was dreaming about, but he was chuckling foolishly. Drool trickled from the corner of his mouth, and the expression on his face was especially silly and infuriating.

Ying Zhao twitched his lips, quietly slipping out of Flame Dragon’s embrace. He wanted to distance himself from the man, who seemed to be acting crazy first thing in the morning, just in case he suddenly lashed out and accidentally hurt him.

As the warmth from his arms disappeared, Flame Dragon furrowed his brows and slowly woke up. When he opened his eyes, he saw Ying Zhao looking at him with a strange expression, which immediately darkened his mood.

He actually saw blatant disdain in that little spirit’s eyes! How dare this little guy look down on him!

Flame Dragon felt both angry and wronged.

He thought to himself, just moments ago in the dream, the little spirit had turned into a tiny version of Yingying and said he liked him the most, even begging for kisses. But now that he was back to normal, he was giving him the “you’re crazy” look.

Thinking this, Flame Dragon glared at Ying Zhao, puffing out his cheeks, and coldly huffed, “Next time, no matter how much you beg me—even if you turn small again—I won’t kiss you anymore!”

After saying that, Flame Dragon turned his face away, putting on an expression that clearly said, “I’m angry, so come and comfort me.”

Ying Zhao looked at his lover’s childish act and couldn’t help but twitch his lips again. What in the world did this guy dream about last night?

Sure, in previous worlds, his lover’s imagination had been vivid. But never had it been quite like this world.

Still, for some reason, looking at his lover being so childish and awkward, Ying Zhao found him extremely cute.

Watching the man pout and try to have a one-sided cold war, while sneakily glancing at him every now and then, Ying Zhao raised his hand to cover his smile. Then, lowering his head and clearing his throat, he said, “Alright, Your Highness Flame Dragon. Everything was my fault! Although I don’t know what strange thing I did to you in the dream, I hope you won’t mind!”

“Dream! You mean that was all a dream!” Flame Dragon finally realized, upon hearing Ying Zhao’s words, that everything beautiful from earlier had been in his own dream.

The man’s face quickly flushed red, the color spreading from the top of his head all the way down to his neck, clearly embarrassed beyond belief.

Flame Dragon was inwardly mortified. Why did I dream about such a scene? And why did it feel so sweet in the dream?

The more he thought about how the little spirit hadn’t actually shrunk, hadn’t begged for kisses, and hadn’t shown how much he liked him, the more depressed Flame Dragon became.

But he couldn’t vent his frustration—after all, he couldn’t blame someone else for what he dreamt.

Ying Zhao looked at his man, who seemed thoroughly crushed, and felt a little bad for him. He leaned in, patted Flame Dragon on the shoulder, and gently asked, “So, Your Highness, would you like to tell me what exactly you dreamt about?”

Flame Dragon, lost in his thoughts, was startled when Ying Zhao suddenly patted him. Flustered, he stammered, “I-I didn’t dream about you turning small and kissing me! I wasn’t happy about that at all!”

“Oh! So, Your Highness dreamed about me turning small and kissing you, and it made you very happy, huh?” Ying Zhao looked at Flame Dragon with a teasing grin.

Seeing the other’s near-imploding reaction, Ying Zhao couldn’t hold back anymore and burst out laughing.

Wiping the tears from his eyes, Ying Zhao gazed at Flame Dragon with gentle eyes, thinking: What should I do? He’s really too cute. I just want to tease him more!

It took a long time for Ying Zhao to finally calm down the thoroughly flustered dragon beside him. Watching Flame Dragon try to put on a serious face, but with a twinkle in his eyes that couldn’t be suppressed, made Ying Zhao smile even more.

Since they were already up, Ying Zhao thought they could plan where to go explore together that day. But just as he was about to suggest it, the hotel automatically sent a message, asking if they’d like breakfast to be prepared and delivered to their room.

Raising his eyebrows, Ying Zhao remembered that one of the key reasons for coming to this hotel was the food. Using the in-game commands, he ordered a few delicious dishes to be sent up.

When Flame Dragon saw the table filled with exquisite dishes, he was curious. As an NPC in the game, he didn’t actually need to eat.

Although he knew that outsiders seemed to always eat these things—he’d seen it himself on their journey to Sais City—he had never tasted any of it. In fact, he thought these outsiders were odd. After all, eating this stuff didn’t serve any practical purpose.

If you wanted to restore stamina or get some buffs, wouldn’t a potion work faster?

Ying Zhao, unaware of Flame Dragon’s thoughts, was fond of good food himself. Knowing his lover had no concept of food before regaining his memories, Ying Zhao suddenly felt a little sorry for the dragon.

So, he pulled out a chair, sat down at the table, and turned with a smile to Flame Dragon, saying, “Your Highness, these dishes are really tasty and quite popular. You should try them too.”

“Hmph, it’s just food for you outsiders. What’s so special about it?” Flame Dragon scoffed at Ying Zhao’s suggestion, but seeing how happily Ying Zhao was eating, he couldn’t help but swallow a bit of saliva.

The aroma of the food filled the air, making Flame Dragon wonder if these things might actually be worth tasting.

Noticing that Flame Dragon was clearly tempted but too proud to admit it, Ying Zhao chuckled and said, “Your Highness, it’s not just outsiders anymore. Many locals love this food too! Besides, I’d really love for you to try something I enjoy. Won’t you?”

The last few words had a hint of playfulness, with Ying Zhao’s tone slightly coquettish, making Flame Dragon feel a tingle down his spine.

Feeling awkward, Flame Dragon rubbed his nose and, with his heart fluttering, cleared his throat and said, “Fine, since you’re begging me so much, I’ll give it a try.”

With that, he sat down next to Ying Zhao, grabbed a piece of meat with his hands, and popped it into his mouth.

The juicy flavor exploded in his mouth, and after just one bite, Flame Dragon’s eyes widened in shock. That single bite was enough to hook him, and soon, he was devouring the food in front of him with no restraint.

Because the food in the game doesn’t actually fill someone up, and it can also accelerate the elimination of the character’s fatigue value, Ying Zhao wasn’t worried that his man would feel uncomfortable from overeating.

Watching him devour the food on the table in a whirlwind fashion made him order even more from the hotel.

However, after the food on the table had been replaced several times, the man finally finished eating.

The way Flame Dragon ate left the NPCs responsible for delivering meals at the hotel stunned because, although the food wouldn’t actually fill him up, there was still a sense of satiety.

Especially in this kind of high-end hotel where the gourmet food was served, it usually could quickly recover the fatigue value of the game characters, and occasionally there would be small additional attributes.

When the fatigue value was completely maxed out, overeating would result in a feeling of fullness, so to others, Flame Dragon’s appetite clearly seemed abnormal.

However, Ying Zhao didn’t see any issue with it because, although the man had now transformed into human form, his true self was still a dragon, so naturally, he had an astonishing appetite.

Moreover, the gold coins in his pocket were more than enough to cover the man’s meals, so he simply indulged his lover, letting him eat as much as he wanted.

After finishing his meal, Flame Dragon felt quite surprised because he realized that the little remaining fatigue value in his body had been completely swept away, and he felt much more energized.

Some of the food even had additional attributes, albeit not many, which made him feel very comfortable after eating. This gave Flame Dragon a whole new understanding of the food from outsiders.

However, even though he now felt full and didn’t need to eat anymore, he still couldn’t help but feel a bit reluctant in front of the delicious food.

After all, it was his first time tasting such exquisite flavors, and he kept thinking about wanting to savor a bit more.

Just as he hesitated, he heard Ying Zhao say to him, “Your Highness, if you really like this food, we can try something different next time. I heard that aside from the Sais Central City, the food in other cities has different characteristics due to the varying races and local customs, and it’s worth trying.”

Upon hearing Ying Zhao’s words, Flame Dragon immediately became interested and nodded vigorously at him. Watching him elegantly sip his red tea, he compared it with his own previous ravenous appearance, and his rarely-seen old face flushed slightly.

He lightly snorted at Ying Zhao and admitted, “You’re right, these foods do taste quite good. I now also feel that your outsider food seems to be quite useful.”

While saying this, Flame Dragon opened his personal space and took out a large, dazzling green gem, placing it in front of Ying Zhao. Acting casually, he said, “You did well; this is your reward. Yingying, serve me loyally, and you will receive more in the future!”

Ying Zhao looked at the epic-level exquisite embedded green gem in front of him and blinked. The gem was green, indicating it had agility attributes, which were most suitable for assassins.

Whether embedded in clothing or weapons, it greatly enhanced his combat power, and such a high-level green gem was extremely rare.

Although gems could be slowly synthesized from lower levels in the forging shop, they required a massive amount of gold coins and materials.

Especially for this top-tier gem, probably only the top ten players on the PK leaderboard could possess one.

When his lover casually presented him with such a valuable gift, Ying Zhao couldn’t help but once again marvel at how great it was to have a wealthy partner.

Without any hesitation, he accepted it and smiled at Flame Dragon, saying, “Then I’ll thank Your Highness for your generosity!”

Seeing the smile on Ying Zhao’s face, Flame Dragon curled his lips slightly, clearly pleased that he was very satisfied with this gift. Gazing at her flawless little face, he couldn’t help but feel a stir in his heart, recalling the scenes in the dream.

Suddenly realizing that since he was already his servant, he was his possession. In the dream, since he could kiss and cherish him like that, why couldn’t he do so in reality?

Thus, Flame Dragon urged himself on, taking a deep breath, and said to Ying Zhao, “Hey, Yingying, you haven’t expressed your thanks to me yet!”

Ying Zhao, hearing Flame Dragon’s words, tilted his head in confusion and asked him, “But Your Highness, didn’t I just say thank you and express my gratitude to you?”

Upon hearing Ying Zhao’s response, Flame Dragon was momentarily stumped. His face flushed as he stammered in frustration, “But, but you didn’t originally express your gratitude to me like that!”

The man’s tone carried a hint of grievance as he spoke, his gaze fixated on Ying Zhao’s lips, his intention as clear as day.

Seeing her beloved looking so eager yet reluctant to say it out loud, Ying Zhao finally decided to show mercy and not tease him any longer. He leaned over and kissed his cheek, causing the man’s face to instantly turn bright red.

Flame Dragon was stunned for a few seconds by Ying Zhao’s kiss, then instinctively reached up to touch his cheek, revealing a silly grin.

This smile was so pure and beautiful that it captivated Ying Zhao, prompting him to lean forward and take a bite out of the well-defined chin of Flame Dragon.

Flame Dragon felt a current rush through his body from the spot where his lips touched, reaching deep into his heart. This overwhelming sensation confused him yet made him crave more.

He couldn’t help but glance at Ying Zhao, wondering if this elf had cast some kind of magic on him. Why did every time he touched him, it felt like he was completely losing control?

Strangely, he didn’t find this loss of control annoying; in fact, he felt somewhat addicted to it.

This made Flame Dragon begin to doubt if he had truly contracted a virus until the sensation on his cheek faded away, allowing him to regain his composure.

Turning his head, he tried to maintain a stern expression while looking at Ying Zhao, wanting to ask him why he had bitten him. Just then, he heard a call from Ying Zhao’s communicator.

Ying Zhao lowered his head and saw that the person requesting communication was He Yue, and he smiled slightly. He thought that He Yue’s call came just in time, as he was unsure of what fun to find next with his man, and someone had conveniently come to him.

Without needing to answer the call, Ying Zhao already knew what He Yue wanted from him. According to the original plot’s timeline, He Yue and the male protagonist, Lu Chenhui, were about to challenge a multiplayer dungeon.

The rewards for this dungeon were quite substantial, but it required at least two people to form a team. However, the difficulty of this dungeon was so high that even with Wang Qi added, He Yue and Lu Chenhui had failed after several attempts.

At this moment, He Yue thought of the original owner. The original owner’s combat power wasn’t low, and the female lead believed he was quite adept at navigating various clearing strategies in the game.

In the past, when He Yue teamed up with the original owner, even when facing dungeons many levels higher than them, the original owner could always find a way to break through.

Most importantly, He Yue felt that the other party liked her and almost obeyed her every word.

So, she thought of asking the original protagonist to help them break through this dungeon, which would also allow her to show off in front of Lu Chenhui.

Although He Yue had already become a virtual wife to Lu Chenhui in the game due to their previous mission, it seemed that the male owner wasn’t very fond of her yet.

Thus, this was a crucial phase for He Yue to increase her favorability in front of the male lead; she certainly didn’t want him to be disappointed in her.

According to the original plot, although the original owner, Ying Zixi, had initially trusted the female lead’s words, he ultimately didn’t agree to participate in this dungeon out of jealousy over the male lead teaming up with her.

In the end, the male and female leads managed to clear the dungeon due to the divine will and luck, and the female lead even obtained a divine artifact, greatly boosting her combat power, which led the male lead to consider a long-term partnership with her.

However, now that this matter had shifted to Ying Zhao, he certainly wouldn’t miss this opportunity. After all, with him around, no matter what they obtained in this dungeon, it would belong to him.

Thinking this, Ying Zhao answered the voice communication from He Yue and quickly agreed to her request, saying she would come to her location immediately.

He Yue felt quite pleased upon hearing Ying Zhao’s response. She thought to herself that she indeed possessed extraordinary charm; this Mengshui, who had previously been jealous of her being with Jiuke, was now rushing to her side to please her.

However, after Ying Zhao ended the communication and looked up, he saw Flame Dragon’s expression darkening to an alarming degree.

Ying Zhao blinked, confused about the source of his unprovoked anger, and asked him, “Your Highness Flame Dragon, what happened?”

Upon hearing Ying Zhao’s words, Flame Dragon pursed his lips, his anger swelling even more. He irritably asked, “Who was that woman just now?”

He had just seen his little servant answering a communication with a bright smile, and he distinctly heard a woman’s voice on the line.

Ying Ying was speaking so kindly and tenderly to that woman, which infuriated Flame Dragon.

So, as soon as Ying Zhao hung up the communication, he immediately questioned him, completely unaware that his tone sounded as if a wife was confronting her cheating husband.
