Chapter 114: My Husband Has a Split Personality (15, 16)

Xiao Jie was deep in thought when he heard Ming continue, “If that day ever comes when Uncle wants to leave, I will definitely not let him go. Even if I am willing, are you really willing?”

“Ying Youjie, I understand you better than anyone else. I know what you care about and what you fear. Both of us have long been unable to let go of him, haven’t we? So now, what you need to think about is not how to escape, but how to make Uncle truly belong to us, so that he can never escape from us!”

Ming took a deep breath, inhaling the scent of Ying Zhao, and spoke with firm determination. Xiao Jie in the sea of consciousness finally stopped opposing, but he sighed in frustration, “But Uncle just treats us as children.”

Thinking about how Ying Zhao’s attitude towards them was always kind and indulgent, but seemingly without any ambiguity, Ying Youjie felt powerless.

Then Xiao Jie, recalling Ming’s earlier sarcasm, couldn’t help but retort, “So, what good does it do for you to criticize me? Aren’t you just like me, sneaking around? Isn’t it because you also know that Uncle only treats us as children?”

“And we have no blood relationship. Even though we are said to be Uncle’s tools, over the years, you should have clearly felt that. Uncle doesn’t really want to use us as tools; he’s simply been nurturing us. Moreover, the Ying family’s power has long surpassed the peak of this continent. We have no place to use our skills. If it weren’t for the layer of emotional bond Uncle has with us, do you think he wouldn’t really drive us away or keep his distance?”

Hearing Xiao Jie’s words, Ming fell into silence. In fact, this was exactly what he was worried about. That’s why he dared not to be overt in claiming Uncle, but used this method to slightly soothe himself.

Ming lowered his head and forcefully kissed the lips of the person in his arms, kissing fiercely as if this could relieve the longing in his heart. Then he held Ying Zhao even tighter, deeply inhaling his scent.

Ming felt that he might not understand what love is, but he knew that he wanted to be with the person in his arms forever. This might be what deep affection means.

In the past, no matter how much suffering he encountered, he could grit his teeth and endure. Even if he absorbed all the negative emotions of the main personality, he had grievances and hatred but still wanted to live.

But just thinking about the person in his arms despising him, not wanting to be with him, or even completely abandoning him made Ming feel an impulse to destroy everything, even himself.

Sometimes, Ming would even have extreme thoughts, wondering if it would have been better to perish together with Uncle. After all, his strength had been above Ying Zhao’s.

Why not imprison him and force him? If Uncle had been willing to accept it, that would have been great, but there was a greater chance that he would not yield.

If Uncle truly had not wanted to be with him, Ming would rather have died with him than be without him. At worst, they would have turned to ashes together and gone to hell together.

Such a death, together, with himself burning in the flames to become a pile of ashes. It would have been you and me intertwined, forever inseparable.

It would have been better than then, where he yearned daily but was careful and unsure of what to do.

However, Ming was ultimately unwilling, unwilling to hurt even a bit of the person in his arms. Even though his heart had been full of brutality and destruction, he still hoped to keep the most tender and beautiful things for the other person.

This person was his treasure!

After cuddling with the person in his arms for a long time, Ming had reluctantly let go of Ying Zhao. He had simply held him quietly, gently gazing at his peaceful sleeping face.

Unconsciously, he thought about a night after he had grown up. That night, he had a passionate dream. In the dream, someone was extremely tender with him, and he wanted to possess him madly.

The dream was truly beautiful; he had spent a sweet night with the person in the dream. Although he couldn’t clearly see the person’s face at first, he could distinctly feel that the person was a man, not the gentle woman most people might imagine.

At that time, both Ming and Xiao Jie had fallen into a deep sleep, and they had shared that dream, entwining passionately with the person in the dream. Only when everything had settled and the mist had cleared could Ming and Xiao Jie finally see the face of that person.

Ming and Xiao Jie discovered that the person in the dream was actually Ying Zhao, their closest uncle who had taken care of them since they were young.

Ming remembered that both he and Xiao Jie had been in a dilemma at that time. Xiao Jie had been completely stunned, filled with endless guilt, while Ming had finally understood why he had such a strong desire to possess this person.

It turned out that the longing to make this person belong to him forever had always been like this.

After that night, Ming had finally seen clearly what he truly wanted to do with his beloved uncle. And after that night, Xiao Jie started to be less close to Ying Zhao, deliberately keeping some distance.

After waking up, Xiao Jie refused to share a room with Ying Zhao again and moved to the room next door the next day. Although Ming was unwilling in his heart, he also wanted to calm down and sort out his emotions, planning for the long term.

Although Ming regretted not opposing Xiao Jie back then and losing such a significant advantage, he was also afraid that if the person appeared in front of him every night, he would lose control. He might act on all his thoughts, leading to a disastrous outcome.

Some people and things were too high a gamble for him to risk. It was because of the depth of his love that he was so cautious.

At that moment, Ying Zhao, still in the young man’s arms, was completely unaware of this. He was sleeping soundly. As for Xiao Bai in the sea of consciousness, although aware that such situations could occasionally occur, he did not consider it serious.

After all, his host and the target were lovers, and Xiao Bai did not see any issue with their intimacy. So whenever this happened, Xiao Bai would retreat into the depths of the sea of consciousness, not disturbing them.

He failed to realize that, despite his host’s cleverness in so many worlds, he was remarkably oblivious when it came to his lover. He had been kept in the dark for so long, completely unaware of how much he had been taken advantage of.

The next morning, when Ying Zhao woke up, the room had already been restored to its original state. His clothes had been changed into cotton pajamas, and he felt quite refreshed, as if he had been cleaned.

Ying Zhao blinked and thought that perhaps the young man had helped him change his clothes last night when he was drunk. He blushed slightly, feeling grateful for the young man’s attentiveness, completely unaware that he had been kissed and hugged all over.

He reflected on how, despite being much older in this world, he had taken care of the young man for two years when he was younger. But as the young man grew up, he had become increasingly considerate, and now Ying Zhao was often cared for by him.

Ying Zhao felt a bit emotional but didn’t realize that Ming had changed his clothes to ensure he slept comfortably and even given him a bath.

Regardless of how intimate the bath had been, the young man had exercised tremendous self-control not to fully possess him. However, to comfort himself, Ming had not missed out on any benefits he sought.

After the bath, Ming had held Ying Zhao all night, staring at his face, reluctant to close his eyes. Only when dawn was approaching, afraid of being discovered by the person in his arms, did Ming get up, cover Ying Zhao with the blanket again, and leave.

Of course, he had also taken the intimate clothing he had helped Ying Zhao change out of, and after returning to his room, he used those clothes to take care of his own needs.

It could be said that Ming had energetically finished his morning exercise before Ying Zhao had fully woken up. He then fell into a deep sleep in the sea of consciousness and switched Xiao Jie out.

Xiao Jie, though dissatisfied, could only pretend nothing had happened. He had also felt the benefits from the previous night and had no complaints.

Reflecting on the benefits he had received, Xiao Jie was in a good mood. He went straight to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for Ying Zhao.

Meanwhile, Ying Zhao, who was washing up in the bathroom, noticed that his lips seemed a bit swollen and his tongue felt numb. He wondered if something he ate yesterday had caused an allergic reaction.

After getting dressed, Ying Zhao looked around but couldn’t find the clothes he had changed out of yesterday. He guessed that Uncle Ying had come to his room and taken his clothes to wash, so he had to pick another set from the closet.

After dressing, he looked in the mirror and tidied up but didn’t notice the deep hickey on the lower part of his neck, which was covered when he adjusted his collar.

When he arrived at the dining room, Ying Zhao saw someone cooking breakfast in an apron. Seeing his gentle-looking lover, he felt inexplicably warm.

Looking at Xiao Jie’s dark eyes, Ying Zhao smiled and praised him, “Xiao Jie, you really are considerate, making breakfast so early!”

Xiao Jie, feeling a bit awkward, replied, “Yesterday Ming helped Uncle prepare dinner, so I’ll make today’s breakfast.”

Hearing Xiao Jie’s slightly jealous words, Ying Zhao found it amusing. He remembered how he had drunk too much the night before and ended up falling asleep, leaving Xiao Jie to take care of him. This made him blush with embarrassment.

But seeing Xiao Jie looking energetic, he guessed that he must have gone to bed early. Ying Zhao overlooked the fact that an automaton, as a magical tool, did not need sleep like humans.

Since it was a school holiday, Xiao Jie did not need to attend classes. However, Ying Zhao’s work did not observe holidays, as he was the head of the entire enterprise. Naturally, there was no rest during busy times, and no one dared to say otherwise when he wanted to take a break.

Thinking that the young man had a rare day off, Ying Zhao suggested while eating breakfast, “Xiao Jie, after we finish eating, let’s go to the company together. You can get more familiar with our own business, and when school is done, you can help Uncle at the group.”

Xiao Jie naturally agreed, and the thought of not only helping Ying Zhao but also spending the whole day together filled him with joy.

So, after finishing breakfast, the two went to the Ying Group. Although Xiao Jie had started school late, his remarkable talent allowed him to work at the Ying Group directly with his current education level.

However, to be the best, the perfectionist young man continued to study at school and even started a company for hands-on experience. He felt this was the only way he could confidently help Ying Zhao.

Ying Zhao, knowing how capable his child was, patiently introduced the key investment projects currently being undertaken by the Ying family and the development plans for Ying Group over the next two years.

Having lived through so many worlds, Ying Zhao was no stranger to his role as a CEO; he handled these matters with ease.

As for his lover, who was exceptionally talented and perceptive, a casual explanation was enough to clear things up. Ying Zhao could confidently delegate some tasks to him.

Regarding Ying Youjie’s technology company, Ying Zhao was well aware of it and felt very proud. However, Ying Zhao had never considered having the young man inherit the Ying family.

The Ying family was vast, and there was always a lot to manage. Compared to work, Ying Zhao treasured the time spent with his lover. Therefore, he had planned to deal with the Ying family’s affairs and any potential obstacles in the main storyline as quickly as possible.

That way, when his lover had truly matured and the Ying family was stable, he could train the next heir and then enjoy life with his lover.

Thinking about the future life with his man filled Ying Zhao with motivation. The two of them worked efficiently throughout the morning, completing almost all the tasks scheduled for the day before noon.

Ying Zhao was so focused on work that he didn’t notice the passage of time. However, Ying Youjie, who was beside him, couldn’t let him continue like this. He quickly took Ying Zhao’s hand and softly said, “Uncle, it’s noon. Let’s have lunch and take a break.”

The young man was worried, thinking that he should stay by Ying Zhao’s side. Otherwise, his uncle might not know how to take care of himself properly. He imagined that when he wasn’t around, Ying Zhao must have forgotten to eat while busy with work.

It must be said that Ying Youjie understood Ying Zhao very well. At that moment, Ying Zhao felt a bit guilty for being so absorbed in his work. He realized that, although his own hunger was irrelevant, he should consider his lover’s needs.

Even though he knew that his lover didn’t need food for sustenance, Ying Zhao still insisted on reminding him to eat regularly. It was clear that both of them cared for each other in the same way.

So, they both tacitly set aside their work. Just as they reached the door, Ying Zhao received a phone call from his secretary, saying that Miss Mo Yingying from the Mo family had arrived and was waiting outside.

Ying Zhao was momentarily stunned and remembered the engagement with Mo Yingying. Although the engagement was kept only to keep an eye on her and monitor the crossing female’s movements, having the young man by his side made Ying Zhao feel a bit uneasy.

He had little interaction with Mo Yingying, only a nodding acquaintance. He wasn’t sure why she had come to see him today. As he was not the original host, he naturally did not wish to have any unusual relationship with any woman. However, since she was already there, Ying Zhao thought she might have something to discuss and informed the secretary to let Mo Yingying in.

Hearing that Mo Yingying was coming, Ying Youjie’s actions momentarily paused, unable to ignore the discomfort in his heart. He lowered his gaze slightly to hide the bitterness in his eyes. When he heard the footsteps approaching in the corridor, he suddenly leaned closer to Ying Zhao and grasped his tie.

Their faces were very close, as if they could kiss with just a slight lean forward. This made Ying Zhao, who had not been intimate with his lover for a long time, feel a surge of emotion, unsure of what the young man was about to do.

Then, Ying Youjie looked at him with a gentle gaze and smiled, “Uncle, your tie is a bit crooked, and the collar here is a little loose. Let me help you fix it.”

The warmth of the smile in his partner’s eyes dazzled Ying Zhao, and he nodded absentmindedly, showing no resistance to the young man’s proximity. His reaction seemed to please the young man. Although it was just a collar adjustment, it took a while, and the two maintained an ambiguous posture until the office door was opened.

Mo Yingying joyfully pushed open the office door and was met with this scene. Two tall and handsome men stood together, their personalities seemingly different, yet the atmosphere was harmonious.

The distance between their faces was very close, with the young man gazing deeply at the mature and aloof man opposite him. It seemed that with a slight bow, their lips would touch.

Mo Yingying had not expected to see such a scene upon entering the office. She lost her grip on the food box she was holding, and it fell to the ground, spilling the food. This made her feel both embarrassed and awkward, but it also jolted the two people in front of her.

The moment Mo Yingying entered, Ying Youjie noticed the young woman in a white dress with a pure and sweet appearance. A fleeting coldness flashed in his eyes, but he maintained the intimate posture with Ying Zhao, feeling no discomfort in his actions.

Ying Zhao, however, sensed that the time spent adjusting his tie and collar was unusually long. When Mo Yingying came in, he slightly turned his body and glanced at Ying Youjie, seeking confirmation that his attire was now acceptable.

Seeing the young man’s innocent nod of approval, indicating that his outfit was fine, Ying Zhao turned back to Mo Yingying and offered a polite smile. He asked, “Miss Mo, what brings you here today? Is there something you need to discuss with me?”

Mo Yingying, who was only twenty-two years old, took a moment to process Ying Zhao’s words and quickly returned a polite smile. With a hint of apology, she said, “I’m sorry, Mr. Ying. I wasn’t careful and ended up dropping the food. I had planned to prepare some of my best dishes for you to try, but unfortunately, it’s all been ruined.”

Ying Zhao shook his head in response. Mo Yingying had the grace of a young lady from a prominent family, and her manners were impeccable. Her consistent politeness towards him was one reason he could maintain a good relationship with her.

It had to be said that this girl was indeed as suitable for being the mistress of a large family as the original host thought. However, Ying Zhao had no particular interest in what kind of person Mo Yingying was.

He replied politely but distantly, “Thank you for your kind intentions, Miss Mo, but you don’t need to go through so much trouble.”

Although Mo Yingying could sense that Ying Zhao seemed indifferent, she couldn’t help but feel a bit disappointed. After all, she had been told at sixteen that she was betrothed to the head of the Ying family, Ying Chengye. Though she was young at the time, she had never considered resisting. As the daughter of a prominent family, Mo Yingying knew that her marriage would not be under her control.

So, when she learned that she was matched with the famous head of the Ying family, she had no special feelings. She merely hoped that her future husband would be a decent person and not make her suffer.

As a child, she had heard others speak of Ying Chengye with fear, describing him as ruthless in business and cold in personality. However, as she grew older, the Mo family arranged more opportunities for her to meet Ying Zhao. Over time, her initial impressions were overturned.

Not only was Ying Zhao handsome and exuded the charm of a mature man, but he also seemed to be much more polite and principled than the rumors suggested. Mo Yingying was impressed by his demeanor and felt a growing admiration.

Having never been in love before, she couldn’t help but be moved by her feelings. Ying Zhao’s gentle and considerate behavior made her happy, and she thought that having a future husband like him would be ideal.

She was a young girl with no experience in love, so she didn’t realize that Ying Zhao’s so-called politeness was actually just a courteous distance.

Ying Zhao occasionally engaged in conversation with Mo Yingying because he had his own reasons, but he didn’t realize that his polite demeanor had made the girl develop feelings for him.

Mo Yingying thought that she was now of marriageable age, but the Ying family had not yet taken any action. She felt anxious and eager and decided to find opportunities to spend time with her intended to cultivate their relationship.
