Chapter 94: Intersteller ABO (5, 6)

Ying Zhao raised an eyebrow upon hearing the long-haired boy’s words. After searching through the original owner’s memories, he found out that this person was the original owner’s younger half-brother, Ying Fei’ang, born to his stepmother.

After Ying Guohao abandoned Ying Yan and his mother, he quickly remarried and had another Omega son.

Ironically, this child was only half a year younger than Ying Yan, which meant that Ying Guohao had already been unfaithful while still with Ying Yan’s mother.

He had set his sights on another family’s daughter and had an affair. When he discovered that Ying Yan had a defect, he quickly used it as an excuse to abandon his original wife.

This dormitory was arranged by Ying Guohao, who had Ying Fei’ang live with the original owner under the pretense of taking care of each other, but in reality, it was to have Ying Fei’ang keep an eye on the original owner.

Ying Fei’ang, who had always been arrogant and looked down on the original owner, frequently caused trouble for Ying Yan and took pleasure in tormenting him.

Even the pitifully small amount of living expenses Ying Yan received was often taken by Ying Fei’ang, leaving Ying Yan to survive on the cheapest nutritional supplements at school.

However, this time, the money Ying Fei’ang mentioned was intended for Ying Yan to buy materials for potion-making.

At first, Ying Fei’ang didn’t dare touch it, but later, he discovered that if he stole a small amount, Ying Zhao could still find a way to make up for it. So, Ying Fei’ang became increasingly bold.

The first two times he stole the money, Ying Yan became cautious. Ying Zhao knew that this time Ying Fei’ang was merely testing him, and if he gave in, it would only encourage Ying Fei’ang further.

So, with a cold expression, he said to Ying Fei’ang, “This money is for me to buy materials for potion-making, I can’t give it to you.”

Ying Fei’ang was stunned for a moment by the cold look in Ying Zhao’s eyes. In the past, the other would at most lower his head and ignore him. He never expected that today he would be met with such a blunt refusal.

Seeing the suddenly cold and firm Ying Zhao, Ying Fei’ang’s anger instantly flared up. He shouted at Ying Zhao, “Who do you think you are? I said hand over the money, so you’d better do it right now!”

As he spoke, Ying Fei’ang lunged at Ying Zhao, trying to grab the light-brain on his wrist. But Ying Zhao deftly sidestepped, causing Ying Fei’ang to lose his balance and fall heavily to the ground.

Ying Fei’ang, who had fallen hard, lifted his head, his face covered in scrapes, with two streaks of blood running from his nose, making him look particularly ridiculous.

When he saw the cold smile on Ying Zhao’s lips, his string of reason snapped, and he recklessly charged at Ying Zhao with his fists raised. However, how could he possibly be a match for Ying Zhao?

With a slight twist of his wrist, Ying Zhao flipped him over to the ground. Watching Ying Fei’ang, who had fallen again and was now screaming in madness, a cold light flashed in Ying Zhao’s eyes.

Immediately, a white thread of energy silently emerged from Ying Zhao’s pinky finger and seamlessly entered Ying Fei’ang’s mind.

Ying Fei’ang, trying to get up, suddenly saw Ying Zhao pouncing on him, crazily beating him, and he found himself completely unable to fight back against his usually weak older brother.

Ying Fei’ang felt excruciating pain all over his body, as if his internal organs had been pounded to mush by the other, and eventually, he coughed up blood.

He had no idea how long this one-sided beating lasted. At first, he wanted to fight back, but later, he was crying and begging for mercy.

But the other seemed determined to beat him to death. Ying Fei’ang thought Ying Zhao was a demon from hell and even felt that he might actually die at the hands of his brother today.

He deeply regretted provoking this lunatic, knowing how strong the other was, he would never have dared to do so. After an unknown amount of time, the beating finally stopped.

When Ying Fei’ang caught his breath, he realized that the dormitory was empty. He felt so badly injured that he believed he was close to death. With his last bit of strength, he opened his light-brain and called Ying Guohao.

When the call connected, Ying Fei’ang immediately cried out to Ying Guohao, “Father! Father, please save me! Brother is trying to kill me, he’s gone mad! He’s a monster! Look at how badly he beat me, I’m covered in injuries, please send someone to save me!”

Ying Fei’ang was still speaking when Ying Zhao suddenly opened the door and walked out of the adjacent room. Seeing Ying Zhao, Ying Fei’ang shrank back, but the fact that he was currently talking to Ying Guohao gave him a sense of confidence.

Gritting his teeth, he spat at Ying Zhao, “You bastard! How dare you beat me up like this! I’m telling Father right now; let’s see how you explain this to him! You’ll be kicked out of the Ying family soon, and then you’ll be left to wander the garbage planets!”

Under the holographic projection from the light-brain, Ying Guohao naturally saw Ying Zhao as well. Ying Zhao, upon seeing Ying Guohao, paused and somewhat woodenly called out, “Father.”

Then, as if he didn’t know what had happened, he frowned at Ying Fei’ang and asked, “Fei’ang, what on earth are you talking about? I don’t understand a word. When did I ever hit you?”

Hearing Ying Zhao deny having hit him, Ying Fei’ang burst into a furious tirade. “You bastard! What nonsense are you spouting? Look at me; I’ve been beaten up so badly that I’m bleeding! And you dare say you didn’t hit me? Do you take Father for a fool?”

But before he could finish, Ying Zhao continued with a look of confusion, addressing Ying Guohao, “Father, I really didn’t hit my brother. When I returned to the dormitory today, he immediately asked me for the money you transferred to me yesterday. But that money is meant for buying materials to make potions, so I couldn’t give it to him. Fei’ang got very angry and tried to attack me. I had no choice but to hide in my room, and I only just came out now.”

When Ying Fei’ang heard what Ying Zhao said, he went absolutely berserk, turning to Ying Guohao and yelling, “Father, don’t believe him! He’s lying to you!”

Then, Ying Fei’ang wiped his face, and seeing the blood on his hand, he quickly showed it to Ying Guohao, exclaiming, “Father, look! I’m bleeding! And he still denies it!”

At this, Ying Zhao furrowed his brows and calmly said to Ying Guohao, “I truly didn’t do it. If you don’t believe me, Father, you can check the room’s surveillance. The Empire Academy has installed cameras in the public areas of the dorms to ensure students’ safety. Parents have the right to access the surveillance footage from the public areas of their children’s dorms.”

Hearing their conflicting accounts, Ying Guohao frowned. He truly didn’t like this child, born without glands and with an ambiguous gender. But he also knew that Ying Fei’ang was far from well-behaved. So, he directly accessed the surveillance footage from the dormitory’s public areas through the light-brain.

What he saw was Ying Zhao and Ying Fei’ang seemingly in a dispute, after which Ying Fei’ang lunged at Ying Zhao. Ying Zhao dodged, causing Ying Fei’ang to lose his balance and fall to the ground, hitting his face and causing his nose to bleed. Later, when Ying Fei’ang tried to strike again, Ying Zhao quickly retreated to his room.

What followed was Ying Fei’ang, alone in the room, rolling around on the floor as if trying to make himself look more injured than he was. Then, he called his father to complain.

Seeing this, Ying Guohao felt that he had indeed spoiled Ying Fei’ang too much, allowing him to develop the audacity to try and frame Ying Yan like this. Even though he didn’t like Ying Yan, the potions Ying Yan created were of great importance to their family.

The money for the potion materials was something even he wouldn’t dare skim off. But Ying Fei’ang had the nerve to do so, showing just how little he understood the gravity of the situation.

With this realization, Ying Guohao glared at Ying Fei’ang and sternly scolded him, “I’ve really raised a good child, haven’t I? You’ve even learned to lie to your father. And do you have any idea what kind of money you were trying to get your hands on? How dare you even think about it!”

Seeing himself acting like a madman in the video, Ying Fei’ang was completely dumbfounded. He panicked and looked at Ying Zhao, only to see him lower his head and flash a sinister smile.

This sight sent a chill down Ying Fei’ang’s spine. He wanted to explain to Ying Guohao, but the footage was more convincing than any argument he could make. He even started to doubt his own sanity after seeing the surveillance.

But when he saw Ying Zhao’s smile, he knew that this was all Ying Zhao’s doing. He clenched his teeth, feeling both angry and terrified. But before he could say anything, Ying Guohao’s cold voice interrupted him, “Ying Fei’ang, it seems you’ve had it too easy lately. From now on, your monthly allowance will be halved, and as for that vacation to Blue Star you’ve been talking about, forget it. You’ll stay home during the break and reflect on your actions!”

“No! Father! Let me explain!” Ying Fei’ang tried to plead, but the call had already been disconnected.

Now completely at a loss, Ying Fei’ang was devastated. He had been longing to visit Blue Star, the most beautiful planet in the galaxy, but the trip was incredibly expensive, even for the Ying family. He had finally convinced Ying Guohao and his mother to let him go by claiming he needed to visit for an art project. He had already bragged about it to everyone around him. But now, everything was ruined.

Ying Fei’ang turned to Ying Zhao, his face twisted with rage, and shouted, “It’s you, isn’t it? You’re behind this!”

Ying Zhao stepped closer, curling his lips into a smile, and said softly, “Yes, it was me. And what are you going to do about it? If you provoke me again, I have a hundred ways to make you wish you were dead.”

The icy words seemed to materialize, striking Ying Fei’ang’s heart. For a moment, he felt his mind go blank, his legs trembling uncontrollably. He ended up collapsing to his knees, his eyes dull and empty.

Ying Zhao, seeing Ying Fei’ang in such a state, turned away and went back to his room, no longer paying him any attention.

What Ying Fei’ang had thought was a beating from Ying Zhao was merely an illusion. In this world, where spiritual power could be used, everything was convenient for Ying Zhao. For someone of Ying Zhao’s strength, using spiritual power to hypnotize someone was a trivial matter.

Just as Ying Zhao was speaking to Ying Fei’ang, he sent a thread of spiritual energy into Fei’ang’s brain. It wouldn’t be long before Fei’ang’s spiritual power would gradually decline until he became a complete waste, unable to use spiritual power.

Returning to his room, Ying Zhao glanced at the few pitiful belongings of the original owner and the extremely cold room decor. His eyes flickered as he walked to the bathroom mirror and carefully examined his appearance in this world.

The original owner had a very slender build, likely due to long-term malnutrition. A pair of large black-framed glasses covered almost half of his face, and his overly long hair obscured his eyebrows, giving him a somewhat gloomy appearance. He wore a gray sweater over a white shirt.

With such a purely nerdy and transparent appearance, it was no wonder the original owner’s grades were so good. But in most people’s eyes, he was still an insignificant presence.

Ying Zhao leaned closer to the mirror, reached out to push aside his bangs, and removed the glasses, revealing a handsome face. His eyes were long and narrow, with slightly upturned corners. Though his gaze was cold, it carried a certain charm. His features were not soft, yet they were strikingly beautiful.

Such a face, deliberately hidden away, made Ying Zhao feel it was a bit of a waste. However, he could understand the original owner. After all, in the place where Ying Yan had lived, disguising oneself as plain-looking was a better way to protect oneself.

Moreover, once in that kind of family, beauty might become an even greater burden.

But Ying Zhao was not one to wrong himself in such a way. He turned and left the bathroom, found a pair of scissors in the room, and cut away the overly long bangs, then casually snipped a few more times to shorten his hair.

With a simple and refreshing hairstyle, although he still kept the black-framed glasses, he no longer looked gloomy.

Although the original owner’s clothing was simple, it was actually fine. As long as he didn’t keep his head down to hide himself, the change in his demeanor would make people feel he was a completely different person.

Having just transmigrated, Ying Zhao still felt a bit tired. After tidying up his appearance, he took a long hot bath to relax, then lay down on the bed and fell into a deep sleep.

At this moment, in a villa near the school, Ernest felt unusually irritable for some reason.

He paced back and forth in the courtyard, feeling an urge to go out for a walk for the first time. However, he knew his constitution was special, and going outside often caused him some trouble, which annoyed him to no end.

But he couldn’t suppress the restlessness in his heart, feeling as if something he had been longing for had finally appeared.

After thinking it over, he couldn’t hold back any longer. Closing his eyes and focusing, a thread of spiritual energy emerged from Ernest’s sea of consciousness. It materialized into a falcon, which spread its wings in the sky before finally perching on his shoulder.

Ernest pulled a tiny camera from his pocket and hung it around the falcon’s neck, patting its wings as he said, “Old friend, why don’t you wander around the school for the next couple of days? I think what we’ve been waiting for has finally appeared!”

The falcon seemed to nod humanely at Ernest’s words before spreading its wings and flying into the sky. It ignored the darkness and headed straight into the now completely black campus.

The next morning, Ying Zhao, who had slept soundly, was awakened by a tapping sound on the window. When he opened his eyes, he saw a mighty-looking bald eagle outside the window.

Perhaps due to the futuristic interstellar setting, it was impossible to tell what species the eagle was. But its sharp eyes reminded Ying Zhao of someone.

The familiar feeling of soul resonance made him open the window instinctively. He watched as the eagle flapped its wings and entered his room.

The eagle blinked at Ying Zhao, seemingly curious as it perched on the headboard, staring at him intently.

Having been together with his lover through countless worlds, Ying Zhao recognized the other’s soul. So when he sensed the familiar spiritual waves from the eagle, he was surprised.

Xiao Bai had confirmed that the Zhu Que’s fragment in this world was within Ernest, so why did this eagle feel so familiar?

So Ying Zhao couldn’t help but ask Xiao Bai in his sea of consciousness, “Xiao Bai, what’s the deal with this eagle?”

Hearing Ying Zhao’s question, Xiao Bai also looked at the eagle in surprise, analyzed it with the system, and then turned to explain to Ying Zhao, “Host, this eagle belongs to Ernest; it’s a manifestation of his spiritual power! It seems Ernest is indeed the top powerhouse in this world. Although people in the interstellar age can become incredibly powerful with spiritual energy, very few have been able to manifest it. In fact, there have been fewer than ten in the entire history of the Empire.”

As Xiao Bai spoke, it couldn’t help but examine the eagle again, excitedly continuing, “This manifested eagle is different from others. It’s not just a simple materialization. Most people manifest inanimate objects, but this eagle is a living being, even a part of Ernest’s spirit. It can be seen as an extension of its master, yet it has its own consciousness and can act independently. This is truly amazing!”

Ying Zhao was surprised by what he heard, looking at the eagle with newfound understanding. He knew that this eagle represented Ernest and had a certain degree of self-awareness.

So, Ernest must be watching him through this eagle’s eyes. Could it be that his lover had sensed his arrival and sent out his companion to find him?

Ying Zhao shared his thoughts with Xiao Bai, who nodded in agreement. Considering the Marshal’s current physical condition, it would indeed be difficult for him to search in person, so sending out a spiritual manifestation in the form of an eagle to find the host’s whereabouts was highly plausible.

The fact that his lover could sense him so quickly made Ying Zhao very happy. However, based on the original owner’s memories, Ying Zhao knew that this eagle was not widely known.

If not for Xiao Bai’s explanation, Ying Zhao would have found it difficult to immediately realize that the eagle was a manifestation of Ernest’s spiritual energy.

So, he feigned ignorance, blinking at the eagle with a friendly smile and murmured to himself, “Where did you come from? How did you end up at my window?”

As Ying Zhao spoke, he tentatively reached out his hand, attempting to stroke the eagle.

Meanwhile, Ernest, through the eagle, sensed Ying Zhao. He saw the handsome young man before him through the eyes of his companion, his long, narrow phoenix eyes still moist, perhaps from just waking up.

For some reason, Ernest felt his heart race, a sense of excitement spreading through his body like never before. Then, the young man smiled at his companion and extended a small hand, seemingly wanting to stroke the eagle.

The moment Ernest felt the other’s affection, his entire body stiffened. This immediately reflected in the eagle’s behavior.

The once powerful and majestic sky king suddenly became shy and awkward. Ying Zhao couldn’t help but curl his lips in a smile, gently stroking the feathers on the eagle’s wing.

His slender fingers, warm to the touch, made contact with the eagle. Ernest, too, felt the touch, and his whole body tingled as if he had been electrocuted, his entire being tightening, even feeling an urge to moan.

After stroking the eagle’s wing, Ying Zhao moved to the eagle’s head, gently patting its handsome little head. The eagle, like a dog, closed its eyes and nuzzled into Ying Zhao’s palm.

The obvious intention of closeness made Ying Zhao feel a bit joyful. He bent down and placed a light kiss on the eagle’s head.

At that moment, both Ernest and the eagle froze. The eagle, perched on the edge of the bed, became as stiff as a statue and toppled straight to the ground.

Meanwhile, back at his residence, Ernest’s entire face turned as red as a boiled shrimp, feeling as if steam was about to burst from his head.

Even though he could never get close to an Omega due to his pheromones, Ernest was never short of admirers, not to mention the various factions trying to push people towards him.

However, he had never felt even the slightest attraction to anyone. Though his pheromones were strong, he was born unable to sense an Omega’s pheromones or smell any of them. In fact, he found those delicate and charming Omegas annoying.

Yet, the young man just now, though clearly slender and undoubtedly an Omega, made the Imperial Marshal feel a flutter in his heart for the first time. Just looking at him seemed to bring a kind of soul-level satisfaction.

He knew the young man had kissed the eagle, perhaps merely out of affection for animals, unaware that it was part of his spiritual energy.

But this still made Ernest uncontrollably excited, as if the young man had truly kissed him. Seeing the pure smile on the young man’s face, Ernest suddenly wanted to hold him tightly and protect him.

Seeing the stiff eagle on the floor, its little claws twitching slightly, Ying Zhao couldn’t hold back and burst into laughter.

His laughter snapped Ernest out of his daydream, causing the Marshal’s face to shift from red to a deep purple, feeling he had never been so embarrassed in his life.

His spirit acting foolish was akin to himself acting foolish, and it happened in front of the one boy he had finally felt fond of. His old companion had been incredibly stupid today.

The eagle seemed to sense Ernest’s displeasure, flapping its wings twice before awkwardly standing up and looking at Ying Zhao with a bit of embarrassment.

Ying Zhao smiled warmly at the eagle, reached out to brush its fluffy cheek with his fingers, and cheerfully said, “Mr. Eagle, you’re so adorable! You’re the first creature besides my mother who’s willing to get close to me!”
