YA Ch6: Agreement

Lu Yu observed the two little guys and found that these balloon creatures seemed to have a limited number of movable parts—only two.

Fish-ball Lu Dongdong could move his tail and the hand holding the fork; President-ball Shen Baishui could move both hands, allowing him to strike the “successful person” pose with his arms crossed.

At this moment, the elder was flipping his fish tail, while the younger one was throwing punches energetically.

Theoretically, no matter how the two little balloons fought, it shouldn’t be too serious. But Lu Dongdong’s character was set as a combat type, living in a world of spiritual revival, monsters, and rampant superhumans where fighting was necessary to survive.

The elder, who had fought his way up from the bottom to godhood by licking blood off the blade, was not on the same level as the younger one, who lived in a peaceful era. Annoyed by the younger one’s weak attacks, Lu Dongdong swung his tail in a spin and sent the younger one flying.

“Ouch!” The younger one let out a very human-like scream in mid-air.

Lu Yu reached out to catch him, but his movements were slow, and he almost missed. Fortunately, Lu Yu reacted quickly, bending down to catch him again, barely managing to hold the younger one in his arms, and giving his big head a kiss.

The younger one, who was about to argue, froze instantly and pointed at Lu Yu: “You, you, you, I warn you, don’t kiss me casually, or I’ll make you regret it.”

Lu Yu couldn’t help but twitch his mouth at this classic, bossy line. This definitely wasn’t written by him; the kid must have searched for classic bossy lines online.

To deal with a tsundere brat, just ignore his babbling.

Lu Yu lifted the president-ball, smiling, “Qianqian1(Qian 钱 means money), even though Dad hasn’t written about you yet, Dad loves you, mwah mwah mwah.” Saying this, he kissed the president-ball’s face three times in a row.

“Ahhh! Who’s called Qianqian? Stop giving people random names!” Shen Baishui was about to collapse.

When Lu Yu finally let go, the president-ball quickly flew far away: “Don’t think kissing me makes you special. I’m not someone who easily recognizes others as family! You’re just my creator, not my father.”

Lu Yu ignored this philosophical declaration and cheerfully followed Ming Yan to take a bath. Passing by, he casually rubbed the president-ball’s head.

With Shen Baishui’s commotion, the earlier tension vanished. However, when they reached the bathroom door, Lu Yu couldn’t help but blush. He had just progressed to touching the little hand, and now he jumped to a naked meeting. Wouldn’t it be too fast?

“Um, why don’t you go first?” Lu Yu chivalrously offered it, regretting it immediately. Wouldn’t being so hesitant about the opportunity given by the male god be despised. Wasn’t it worse than being cowardly like Lu Dayu?

Ming Yan handed him a bathrobe: “This is your bathrobe.” Then, very naturally, he turned and went to the master bathroom on the opposite side.

Lu Yu was shocked: “Two master bedrooms are fine, but why two bathrooms? Couples bathing separately; does that make sense?”

Toady Lu Dongdong swam over: “Exactly.”

Lu Yu looked at the fish-ball following him, then turned to see Shen Baishui following Ming Yan and quickly called out: “Hey, kid, how can you go into Daddy’s bathroom? Get out, get out! Boys should avoid their mothers; girls should avoid their fathers, don’t you know?”

Shen Baishui floated over, crossing his short arms: “Look at me; I’m a boy, and Ming Yan is also a boy.”

Lu Yu snapped his fingers in front of the president-ball: “From today on, you’re a girl. Good girl, go play with your brother; Dad’s going to take a bath.”

Getting hsi gender suddenly changed, the younger one was furious, banging on the bathroom door: “If you have the guts, announce on the novel website that Shen Baishui is actually a girl. Changing the setting will get you beaten to death by the readers!”

The fish-ball swam over, shaking his tail, gleefully poking the president-ball’s butt with his fork: “Oh dear sister, come, let brother show you something good.”

Shen Baishui sneered: “I don’t talk to little punks; it lowers my class.”

Lu Yu bathed alone, realizing something was very wrong with the house.

Usually, such a double master bedroom design would have a shared bathroom with a large bathtub for the couple to bond in. Now split into two with only pitiful showers, it felt less like a mansion and more like a shared apartment.

After the bath, Lu Yu walked to the dressing table in the changing room, complaining while blow-drying his hair: “This house is a rip-off, designed to cause division. Even the best couple would break up living here long enough.”

Lu Dongdong stopped wagging his tail and honestly said: “This house originally had one bathroom, but it was split into two when you two moved in.”

“What the hell?” Lu Yu turned off the hairdryer, clearly hearing Lu Dongdong, and couldn’t help cursing, “Lu Dayu must have a screw loose.”

Just then, Ming Yan also finished bathing and walked over, drying his hair.

He was wearing a white absorbent bathrobe, loosely tied at the waist, and with each step, those two beautifully lined, jade-like collarbones were faintly visible.

Lu Yu couldn’t help but look a bit longer, patting the white leather stool by the dressing table and raising the hairdryer: “Sit here, let me blow-dry your hair.”

Ming Yan was in a daze for a moment. This scene overlapped with one from years ago: Lu Yu, with bright, sparkling eyes, holding a hairdryer, patting the chair, saying, “Senior, let me blow-dry your hair.”

By the time Ming Yan came to his senses, he was already sitting on the stool, with Lu Yu behind him carefully blow-drying his hair and even secretly touching the tip of his ear.

Ming Yan: “Lu Yu.”

Lu Yu, who was laughing secretly, looked up and saw through the mirror: “Hmm?”

Ming Yan’s lips moved slightly, but seeing the dark circles under Lu Yu’s eyes, he swallowed his words: “Never mind, we’ll talk tomorrow. Come with me to the company tomorrow. There are some urgent matters that need to be handled quickly.”

Taking advantage of Lu Yu’s good spirits, it was best to go to the company and resolve everything at once.

“Alright.” Lu Yu nodded in agreement.

After drying Ming Yan’s hair, Lu Yu reluctantly withdrew his hand from the soft hair, lightly rubbing his fingertips and savoring the touch. As soon as Ming Yan turned his back, Lu Yu sneakily lifted his hand to smell the fragrance on his fingers.

“Tsk tsk tsk.” The younger one watched silently, making a disdainful noise.

“Qianqian, do you have any comments?” Lu Yu tilted his head to look at the president-ball.

Shen Baishui wanted to put his hands on his hips, but with arms too short, it looked like a teacup, so he gave up: “First, don’t call me Qianqian; my name is Shen Baishui. Secondly, I, Shen, can’t stand seeing people with no backbone. Do you want me to teach you some techniques for picking up girls?”

This brat, with a pretentious air, used several different self-references in one sentence.

Lu Yu didn’t know what state of mind he was in when he wrote this stuff: “Stop bragging. Those techniques for picking up girls were written by me. What can you teach me?”

“Father, don’t listen to the Lao-er. His story also has no CP, he didn’t even get one wife in the end.” Lu Dongdong came over to add fuel to the fire.

The younger one glared at his brother sideways: “As if you have a wife.”

Lu Dongdong tilted his fork, making a one-handed shrug despite his disability: “I don’t have one, but am I proud of it? Father can’t write romance lines. I bet neither the third, fourth, nor tenth will have a wife.”

“Ahem.” Lu Yu scratched his nose. The fact that his sons didn’t have wives was indeed his fault. As a gay man writing male-targeted fiction, he truly didn’t know how to write heterosexual romance. Before writing The Fish King, he had tried writing some short stories with romantic plots but got scolded harshly.

[The dialogue between the male and female leads is so stiff, it feels like they don’t know each other.]

[What’s this nonsense. The female lead’s weapon is a vajra hammer; does that even make sense?]

[Please stop writing romance scenes. Seeing them fall in love is so awkward. Can they just pursue their careers separately?]

After several attempts, Lu Yu completely gave up on romance scenes and finally understood the martial arts novel adage, “To master divine skills, one must first castrate oneself.” Letting the male lead abandon romance and focus solely on righteousness, striving to become a god and save the world, his charisma skyrocketed, and the novel became a hit before it even finished.

“Dongdong, Father is sorry.” Lu Yu pulled the fish-ball over, hugged him, and patted him.

Seeing the interaction between the three—the father and his two sons—Ming Yan couldn’t help but smile. The eighteen-year-old Lu Yu was indeed full of energy and passionate about his work. He sighed softly and turned toward the bedroom: “Go to bed early.”

Hearing this, Lu Yu blushed immediately: “Alright.”

Letting go of the fish-ball, Lu Yu quickly tidied his hair in the mirror and jogged to catch up.

He followed Ming Yan closely, scratching his head and wondering what to do next. As a legally married couple, they should fulfill their marital duties. With no experience, he thought he should be humble in bed to avoid hurting his precious male god.

Just as he stepped into the door, Ming Yan suddenly turned around: “Why are you following me?”

Lu Yu, dumbfounded and almost bumping into him, quickly braked, supporting himself on the door frame with one hand: “To sleep.”

Ming Yan pointed to the other master bedroom on the other side of the dressing room: “That’s your room.”

Lu Yu looked at the long, cold, and emotionless finger pointing to the room across, shocked: “Aren’t we sleeping together?” He knew it was a double master bedroom house, but the design was for the two masters to sleep separately in special circumstances, not like roommates sleeping apart every day.

This wasn’t the treatment a married man should receive!

“I told you,” Ming Yan, somewhat helpless, looked down at the floor, “our marriage is not what you think.”

That same phrase again, not having had the chance to clarify during the day, Lu Yu asked: “What do you mean?”

Ming Yan slowly raised his head, looking straight into those clear eyes: “We have a contractual marriage, just for business.”

Marriage is marriage; what’s this about a contractual marriage? This isn’t some bossy CEO novel! Lu Yu frowned, not quite understanding.

Ming Yan glanced at Lu Dongdong hiding in the corner: “The AI assistant is used worldwide. Because the product is sold abroad, where copyright requirements are very strict, you found me, said you’d give me shares, and assigned all the copyrights of the illustrations to the company permanently.”

Lu Yu caught the key point: “What do you mean I found you?”

“Didn’t we date for seven years and get married successfully…” Ming Yan looked back at the two balloon figures squeezed together and said, “and had two children in three years?”
