YA Ch86: Game
Once Lu Xiaoyu tasted meat, he was no longer a herbivorous fish but a carnivorous one.
The transformation over a few hours turned a pure and gentlemanly young boy who always kept his hands to himself into a big rascal who was both mouthy and hands-on.
Ming Yan had anticipated this and didn’t engage with him at all, turning his back to continue looking at the food delivery options. Since they had been messing around after watching a movie and hadn’t had dinner, his stomach was growling from hunger, but he wasn’t interested in continuing to explore the mysteries of the human body with Lu Yu.
Lu Yu snuggled over, hugged Ming Yan from behind, and saw that the screen was full of unnutritious items like skewers and fried chicken. He said, “Don’t eat these. Let’s go to the hotel restaurant and have something good.”
They had consumed a lot of energy earlier and needed to replenish it.
Ming Yan lay weakly on the pillow and said, “You go ahead. I don’t want to move.”
Lu Yu immediately felt heartache and cursed himself for being inconsiderate. “I won’t go either; I’ll have them deliver it.” After saying this, he had Lu Dongdong open the hotel’s menu and ordered several dishes that Ming Yan liked and that were easy to digest.
“It’s too late to eat so much,” Ming Yan didn’t object but felt there were a bit too many dishes.
“It’s fine, I’ll help you eat what you can’t finish,” Lu Yu hugged the soft Ming Yan and gave him a kiss, rubbing his head. “Now that we’re this close, you can command me to do anything. Don’t be polite and say ‘you go ahead.’ It makes me sad.”
Hearing this, Ming Yan paused for a moment, and a glimmer of light appeared on his tired face as he smiled slightly. “That’s true.”
Since they were already this close, being polite would only be hurtful.
So, he slightly lifted his chin and commanded Lu Yu, “Bring me a bathrobe and have them change the bed linens.”
The pajamas Ming Yan had brought had been torn by Lu Yu earlier. After a shower, he was sleeping naked. The sheets were changed by Lu Yu, and they were sleeping on the bottom layer, which was usable but somewhat awkward.
“Sure, my lord.” Lu Yu jumped out of bed, performed a noble’s hand-kissing gesture, and kissed the back of Ming Yan’s hand.
The action was perfect and the expression spot-on, if only Lu Yu weren’t wearing only underwear.
He didn’t notice it while lying down, but once he got up, he realized the bedroom was a mess and not suitable for staying any longer.
Lu Yu dressed Ming Yan, called room service to clean up, and then carried him to the sofa. He also took an air conditioning blanket to cover Ming Yan to avoid him catching a cold.
Room service arrived quickly. The staff replaced the linens and also completed the turn-down service: putting clean towels on the carpet by the bed, placing a glass and bottled water on the bedside table, and putting a small bear holding a rose in the middle of the bed.
Lu Yu’s eyes brightened. He praised, “Wow, how did you know we’re a couple? This little bear even has a heart on its back. The service is so thoughtful.”
The staff replied expressionlessly, “Sir, this is our hotel’s mascot. All the bears look like this.” Then they pointed to a heart-shaped bear painting on the wall.
Lu Yu: “…”
Ming Yan chuckled quietly.
After the staff left, Lu Yu cleared his throat. “Really, their service pitch, how does it compare to the top-rated guy?” His attitude was far from that of the service champion.
Lu Yu took the rose from the bear’s hand, felt that it had no thorns, and put it in his mouth, peeking over the back of the sofa. “Sir, do you need bedtime service? Male model Xiao Yu at your service.”
Ming Yan shook his head with a smile.
Although the guest was embarrassed to accept, the service fish with an excellent attitude still carried Ming Yan to the bed, humming with the rose in his mouth and grinning, “It’s okay, we’re giving away one free service today.”
Ming Yan: “I don’t want it.”
Lu Yu put Ming Yan on the bed, looked at the long legs exposed under the slit bathrobe, which gleamed with the light like jade, and couldn’t help but silly smile and pounce, “Hehe, even if you don’t want it, you have to! Our motto is to forcefully sell!”
Ming Yan pushed him, laughing, “Hahaha, the little bear got squashed.”
Just then, the food delivery arrived, and the bear-shaped pastry was rescued.
The sumptuous feast was laid out on the dining table by the window, allowing them to enjoy the city night view while eating. The round table could seat four, but Lu Yu insisted on squeezing onto one stool with Ming Yan.
Ming Yan didn’t mind and ate seriously. Knowing that Lu Yu was in high spirits, he needed to eat well to cope with any situation that might arise. Otherwise, if he fainted from low blood sugar and Lu Yu made a fuss and sent him to the hospital, he, Ming Yan, would be too embarrassed to face anyone.
As expected, the newly learned game boy couldn’t stop clinging to others and making them play. They spent the entire weekend in the hotel in a muddled fashion. It wasn’t until Sunday afternoon, when Ming Yan’s mother called them to come home for dinner, that he finally escaped and could catch a breath.
Lu Yu hummed a song while driving, quite proud of his rapid progress over the past two days.
Ming Yan, on the other hand, nestled in the passenger seat, repeatedly checked for marks on exposed areas using the mirror behind the sunshade, and, not reassured, took a 360-degree high-definition photo with his smart brain for Shen Baishui to check for any oversights.
“It’s fine. If necessary, just say you were bitten by mosquitoes,” Lu Yu wasn’t afraid.
He was eager for his future in-laws to find out, then look at him with that reproachful gaze, making him responsible and immediately discussing wedding dates… even if he got a beating, it would be worth it, hehe.
Ming Yan closed the mirror: “Do mosquitoes in your family bite in patches?”
Lu Yu remained unperturbed: “Artist mosquitoes are creating their art.”
Ming Yan was speechless: “In this winter, artist mosquitoes can’t even survive the season.”
Lu Yu said mysteriously: “Art comes from reality but is higher than reality. The physical bodies of artist mosquitoes die in autumn, but their spirit is reborn in winter. The soul is immortal, and art endures forever.”
Ming Yan: “……Alright, you can say that to Dad later.” Let’s see if he buys it.
Lu Yu laughed foolishly for a moment, suddenly froze, and looked at Ming Yan in disbelief: “Did you just say, Dad?”
“Pay attention to the road,” Ming Yan urged him to look ahead, clearing his throat. “Isn’t Mrs. Ming about to get married into the family?”
“That’s right! Hehe…” Lu Yu was so happy he was bubbling, performing a drift and tailspin, steering into the neighborhood.
Ming Yan got out of the car, his legs a bit weak, and almost stumbled as soon as his feet hit the ground.
Lu Yu quickly ran over, turned his back to Ming Yan, and squatted down: “Come on, I’ll carry you.”
Ming Yan hurriedly patted his back, looking around: “Get up, it’s only a few steps to the elevator.”
Lu Yu ignored him: “Come on, let me, the little son-in-law, take good care of the eldest young master. If Mr. Ming sees this, he might be so pleased he’ll agree to let me into the family.”
“It’s the new society; our Ming family doesn’t do that,” Ming Yan was chuckling as he lay on Lu Yu’s back.
“Oh, we still do. I can tell, our dad still values family rules,” Lu Yu said seriously, lifting Ming Yan up a bit, and pinched his butt as he cheerfully headed toward the apartment building.
As they reached the entrance, they encountered Ming’s parents, who had just returned from buying groceries.
Mother Ming was happily talking about interesting things she had encountered at the market. Father Ming quietly listened, holding a plucked chicken, showing no sign of the dignified head of a hundred-year-old family.
The four of them met on the steps of the apartment building, staring at each other.
