SGT CH51: Extra I

CH51: Returning to the Moment Before His Heart Was Torn Out
◎”Two eggs need double the pheromone nourishment.”◎

Aix’s first reaction was that the world had gone mad.

His second reaction was that the adjutant had brought the wrong report.

Aix took the examination report and checked it carefully.

Besides the mental state and pregnancy status, every preceding data point was familiar to him, his physical data as a peak S-class female Zerg.

As for the significant improvement in his mental state, that was also normal, because the little male Zerg had performed a mental grooming for him.

This, on the contrary, proved that this was his body, his examination report.

Aix stared at the two embryos in the image of the womb.

His mind was thrown into a stormy sea.

The degree of disbelief was comparable to waking up and finding the little male Zerg he had been searching for for over a decade in front of him, and still inside him.

He was really pregnant with the little male Zerg’s egg.

And it was twins.

Aix’s mind went completely blank, and he completely lost the ability to think.

Seeing the Vice Admiral in this state, the adjutant, who had initially been excited, also calmed down and asked tentatively:

“Sir, is there a problem with the Zerg egg’s parentage?”

The Zerg egg’s parentage…

Aix pursed his lips and didn’t answer, overcome with shame.

The little male Zerg was not related to him by blood. From the perspective of imperial law, there was no problem with them getting together.

But Aix just couldn’t get over the hurdle in his own heart.

Since the Vice Admiral wouldn’t say, the adjutant could only guess.

Based on the developmental stage of the embryos, the Vice Admiral had gotten pregnant around the time of the Second Prince’s banquet.

In the few days after the Second Prince’s banquet, the Vice Admiral had indeed been surrounded by the pheromones of a high-ranking male Zerg.

That scent was particularly sweet.

A rich floral fragrance, the aroma of ripe fruit, and the scent of clear springs and sweet dew.

It was like being in a midnight garden, where the bright moonlight cast a silver glow, awakening a beautiful male Zerg dozing on a swing.

The male Zerg opened his arms and embraced the newcomer.

In the garden, by the fountain, he sincerely and passionately bestowed his sweet dew.

The entire military headquarters was buzzing with rumors that Vice Admiral Aix was dating a high-ranking male Zerg lord.

The adjutant had also seen the Vice Admiral staring out the window in a daze many times, and glancing at his terminal every few minutes.

These were all behaviors of a female Zerg in the heat of love.

This further confirmed that the Vice Admiral was secretly dating a male Zerg lord.

But the Vice Admiral’s reaction to being pregnant was not one of pure joy.

There must be some misgivings.

The male Zerg who could attend the Second Prince’s banquet were all either rich or noble.

And most were already married, with female consorts.

That was just how Zerg society was. Whether female or male, they had to leave their families after coming of age.

To ensure their quality of life didn’t decline, young male Zerg would always marry a powerful female Zerg as their female consort early on.

Seeing the Vice Admiral’s silence, the adjutant became even more certain that the male Zerg would not take responsibility, or perhaps couldn’t even offer the position of a female attendant, or was unwilling to.

The adjutant felt sorry for the Vice Admiral.

“At least… at least he has to provide you with pheromones.”

Hearing that he still needed the little male Zerg to provide pheromones, Aix’s expression worsened.

How could he bring himself to ask?

As an elder, how could he possibly ask the little male Zerg for pheromones?

“Are there no other ways?” Aix asked.

“You mean… buying pheromones on the market?” the adjutant frowned slightly.

Some male Zerg who were short on cash would sell their pheromones for money.

Other male Zerg didn’t lack money but simply enjoyed being sought after. They would openly auction their pheromones, watching as female Zerg spent fortunes for them, and taking pride in the high prices their pheromones fetched.

The former were mostly mid-to-low-level male Zerg, while the latter were high-level male Zerg.

With Vice Admiral Aix’s financial resources, acquiring some high-level male Zerg pheromones was not out of the question.

“But, for the pheromones of a strange male Zerg, both the pregnant female’s body and the Zerg egg in the womb will have a strong rejection reaction.”

Pregnant females who used pheromones from someone other than the egg’s biological father were always forced to do so, a choice made when there was no other option.

The adjutant couldn’t bear to see the Vice Admiral resort to this.

Moreover, in the adjutant’s opinion, the best pheromones on the market, even those that were hyped up to exorbitant prices, couldn’t compare to the pheromones the Vice Admiral carried that day.

That effect far surpassed any pheromone he knew of.

Even a slight residual scent had made more than half of the unmarried female Zerg in the military headquarters flustered.

The adjutant carefully glanced at the Vice Admiral’s face and said in a low voice:

“And you’re carrying twins, so the demand for pheromones is even greater. There might not be that many pheromones for sale.”

High-level male Zerg pheromones were mostly priceless and had no market.

Mid-to-low-level pheromones were generally ineffective, especially for an S-class like Vice Admiral Aix. Using them would be about the same as using air.

Hearing this, Aix supported his head with a headache and said in a muffled voice:

“You can leave first. I need to calm down.”

The adjutant took his leave.

Aix placed a hand on his abdomen, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

He had actually always wanted a cub.

A cub who could accompany him, giving him a trace of comfort in this cold world.

But Aix had no expectations for male Zerg and did not plan to marry.

He had originally planned to adopt a little cub from an orphanage after retiring.

Preferably a fair and tender little cub with golden hair.

Just like the little male Zerg from back then.

He never expected his wish to come true before he even retired.

And it wasn’t just one cub, but two at once.

The good news was that these two cubs would look a lot like the little male Zerg.

The bad news was that these two cubs were his and the little male Zerg’s bloodline.

The terminal on his wrist vibrated.

A communication interface popped up. It was a message from the little male Zerg.

[A week is up. How about it, Aix? Are the test results out?]
Aix’s finger rested on the input box. He couldn’t type a single word for a long time.

How was he supposed to tell the little male Zerg about this?

While Aix was contemplating, another message popped up.

[You promised me. If you’re pregnant, we’ll get married. You can’t go back on your word.]
Yes, he had promised the little male Zerg that if he was pregnant, they would get married.

Aix’s head throbbed even more.

The adjutant thought he was worried that the male Zerg wouldn’t take responsibility for the egg.

In fact, Aix was more afraid that the little male Zerg would come to take responsibility.

He was worried sick.

Seeing that Aix hadn’t replied for a long time, Mousse wasn’t angry.

They would be able to chat face-to-face soon anyway.

The flyer stopped at the entrance of the military headquarters.

Mousse lowered the window.

This was the imperial capital’s military headquarters, not his White Night Star. Even though Mousse was a Prince, he still needed to register to enter.

The instrument at the entrance of the military headquarters automatically identified the identity of the flyer’s master.

“Identity: Prince Mousse.”

The military female, who had been dazed by the male Zerg’s beauty, snapped back to her senses only after hearing the mechanical voice announcement.

“Pri-Prince, Your Highness, who are you looking for?”

“I’m looking for my female consort,” Mousse said subconsciously.

Only after saying it did he remember they weren’t married yet. He corrected himself:

“I’m looking for Vice Admiral Aix.”

The military female at the gate was almost knocked unconscious by this heavyweight news.

“Vice Admiral Aix’s office is in A21. Do you need me to inform Vice Admiral Aix for you?”

“No need, I want to give him a surprise.”

Or perhaps a scare.

Mousse closed the window with a smile, and the flyer started up, driving into the military headquarters.

Regardless of how much of a sensation the topic “The Prince visits the military headquarters, visits Vice Admiral Aix, and calls him his female consort” would cause on the internal military forum.

Mousse had already arrived at the floor where Aix was.

He wore a smile, his steps light, as he passed by the military females who were frozen like statues, arrived at the door of Aix’s office, and pressed the doorbell.

The soundproofing of the military headquarters’ offices was too good; Aix didn’t notice the abnormality outside.

Receiving the visit notification, Aix was puzzled for a moment. There shouldn’t be any visitors at this time.

But he was in a state of agitation, and finding something to distract himself might be for the best.

So he directly chose to receive the visitor.

As the office door opened, a familiar, cheerful, and sweet voice came in.

“Aix-gege, let’s go register our marriage!”

Aix, inside the office, looked up in astonishment.

A crowd of military females on the floor: “??!!”

“Sisi, how could you…”

Aix’s face turned red, so flustered his tongue almost tied in a knot.

“We… we can’t get married!”

“Why? Didn’t you say we’d get married if you got pregnant?”

Mousse was confused.

A crowd of military females who were eavesdropping with pricked ears gasped.

The adjutant was directly stunned.

He had thought his superior was worried that the male Zerg wouldn’t take responsibility.

This wasn’t not taking responsibility at all.

Such a noble high-ranking male Zerg lord, coming directly to his door to rush a marriage.

So, what exactly was his superior hesitating about?

Aix simply wanted to cover the little male Zerg’s mouth.

Especially after hearing the commotion from the military females outside.

He quickly tapped on his terminal a few times and closed the office door through the smart system.

He took the little male Zerg’s hand, had him sit on the sofa, and poured him a drink.

Then he stood to the side, pacing back and forth, trying hard to think of the right words.

Seeing Aix’s flustered and uneasy appearance, Mousse knew he had guessed right.

“I told you you were pregnant, and you didn’t believe me.”

Mousse propped up his chin, unhurried, and asked:

“Haven’t seen you in a week, did you miss me? I heard a pregnant female’s body especially craves a male Zerg’s pheromones. Do you want my pheromones?”

Aix’s breath caught.

Ever since he had returned from the Prince’s mansion a week ago, he had been having absurd dreams.

Sometimes he dreamed of the past, living with the little male Zerg.

Sometimes he dreamed of the adult little male Zerg.

He wanted to make up for the gaps he had missed, taking the little male Zerg to all sorts of places to play, to eat all sorts of food.

Perhaps his imagination was too lacking, as the process of eating, drinking, and playing with the little male Zerg was always blurry.

On the contrary, the scenes after each outing, or even during them, where he proactively opened himself up for the little male Zerg to enjoy, were extremely clear.

“It looks like you missed me a lot. Why are you pushing me away then?”

Mousse stood up, hugged Aix from behind, wrapped his arms around Aix’s waist, and asked in a low voice.

“Or is it that you don’t want to become my family Zerg?”

The words “family Zerg” made Aix’s tense body suddenly go limp.

He had searched his whole life, and what he was searching for was none other than his family Zerg, his little male Zerg.

But the little male Zerg, after returning to the empire, already had his own family.

The little male Zerg’s family was the Prince’s mansion, the imperial palace, the Zerg Emperor, the Marshal, the Second Prince, the little male’s female Zerg, and the little male’s future cubs.

He had become an outsider.

It would be a lie to say he didn’t care. That was his lifelong obsession.

But he could only let go.

The little male Zerg already had his own family Zerg, his own life.

He couldn’t use the affection from those few years in the Dark Star Field to pester the little male Zerg and disturb his life.

But the little male Zerg’s words gave him a new possibility.

He could, in another way, enter the little male Zerg’s life, become his family Zerg again, and accompany the little male Zerg forever.

“I am indeed pregnant with an egg…”

Aix placed his hand on the little male Zerg’s hand, which was resting on his abdomen, his expression dazed and struggling. “Can I become your family Zerg this way?”

“Of course you can! But, it’s because we are family Zerg and love each other that we have the egg, not because we have the egg that we love and accompany each other.”

Mousse seriously corrected the sequence of events for Aix.

He didn’t want Aix to think he was getting married just for the egg.

Even less did he want Aix to love him just for the egg.

But what Mousse said, in the eyes of a single-minded military female, made no difference.

Aix only cared that he could truly become the little male Zerg’s family.

“Thank you, Sisi.”

He turned around, took the initiative to embrace the little male Zerg, and said, full of joy:

“After becoming your female attendant, I can take better care of you.”

Mousse: “???”

“What are you thinking? Female attendant?”

Mousse looked up and glared at him fiercely.

Aix was the Zerg he loved, and also his only female Zerg.

That was true in the past, present, and future.

Mousse could accept Aix sitting in the position of “most favored female attendant” and being lightly stepped on and teased when they were playing around.

But that didn’t mean he could accept Aix becoming a female attendant.

That was a profanity to his love.

Aix’s face turned pale, but when he saw the little male Zerg in his arms, he still said:

“A female slave is also fine… I don’t care about that, as long as I can become your family Zerg.”

Mousse almost died of anger.

He swore he wasn’t looking down on female slaves.

His female father was initially a female slave bought by his male father.

But in the end, his male father offered the position of Zerg Empress and promoted his female father to female consort.

He just felt that Aix was profaning his love.

Mousse pushed Aix down onto the sofa and leaned over to bite him.

After a long while, he raised his head and asked:

“Say it again, what do you want to be of mine?”

Aix was dazed, his pheromones overflowing uncontrollably. He tried hard to concentrate and answered:

“Female slave?”

“Hehe, wrong. Think again.”

Mousse buried his head and continued.

But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t bite Aix’s mouth open. Instead, he made himself breathless. Fortunately, Aix was in an even more wretched state.

“Say it, what do you want to be of mine?”

“…Female attendant?”

“Wrong! Think again!”

“Say it, what are you to me?”

“Fe… Female father…”

Mousse: “…”

Just die!

Before Mousse could die of anger, Aix finally understood Mousse’s meaning with the little clarity he had left.

“Sisi wants me to be the female consort?”

“You were always my female consort.”

Mousse’s anger finally subsided a little.

Seeing that Aix was completely sunk into the sofa from his actions and was in an uncomfortable position, he quickly helped him up. He massaged his lower back and whined on his shoulder:

“Let’s register today, then accompany me back to the Prince’s mansion to sleep. Without you, I haven’t slept well for a week.”

Aix turned his head and, touching the faint dark circles under the Prince’s eyes, felt a pang of heartache.

“Okay, I’ll accompany you.”

Aix paused, then asked, “Do I need to meet your other female Zerg? Do I need to prepare a meeting gift?”

“What other female Zerg?”

Mousse was confused, and a little angry. He opened his mouth and bit Aix on the shoulder, saying resentfully:

“You haven’t even given me a gift, and you’re already thinking of giving gifts to someone else?”

The faint teeth marks appeared for only a moment before disappearing.

Aix didn’t even feel any pain.

Compared to that, he cared more about the little male Zerg’s emotions.

“Actually, I had prepared gifts, for fourteen years… Spiritual source crystals, toys, picture books… many, many things. It’s just, you don’t need them anymore.”

“Who said I don’t need them? My gifts should belong to me! Are they in here? Quick, give them to me!”

Mousse tugged at Aix’s spatial bracelet.

Mousse only knew about the spiritual source crystal; he knew nothing about the rest.

Even the original Aix had never mentioned these things to him.

Perhaps he also thought he didn’t need them.

But for a gift, whether it was valuable or useful was not important.

What was important was the Zerg who gave the gift, and the intention behind preparing it.

“There are too many things, I need to organize them.”

Seeing the little male Zerg tugging at his spatial bracelet, Aix was helpless yet indulgent. He simply took off the bracelet, entered the little male Zerg’s biological information, and handed it over to him.

“You’re just giving it to me like that?” Mousse shook the bracelet. “Aren’t you afraid I’ll run off with all your belongings?”

“Everything I have is Sisi’s,” Aix didn’t care.

He was willing to give everything he had to his little male Zerg.

“That’s true. After all, I’m your male lord. What’s yours is mine.”

In the end, Mousse didn’t actually take over Aix’s things.

Compared to the actual items, he cared more about Aix’s attitude.

He put the bracelet back on the female Zerg’s wrist and said:

“You can give them to me after you’ve organized them. And, what was that you said before about other female Zerg?”

“Your mental grooming is very skilled, your technique, cough, is also very good. And, you think that as long as you’ve mated, an egg will be conceived… So, Sisi’s previous female Zerg must have also gotten an egg on the first try, just like me.”

Aix sighed in his heart. His little male Zerg was truly amazing.

The fertility rate of high-ranking Zerg was so low, yet the little male Zerg could hit the mark on the first try every time.

“…Although what you said isn’t wrong, but! I only have you as my one female Zerg! Don’t let your imagination run wild.”

Mousse raised his hands and messed up Aix’s hair, trying to force those strange thoughts out of his mind.

“Okay.”

Aix, with his messy but still handsome hair, agreed with a smile.

“You believe me? You’re not even going to ask why?”

Mousse, on the other hand, was incredulous.

“I believe everything Sisi says. As for the reason, when Sisi wants to tell me, you will naturally tell me.”

Aix’s wrist terminal vibrated.

A high-priority interface automatically popped up.

It was a gene-matching notification.

This kind of notification usually meant that a male Zerg with a very high compatibility match with him had sent him an invitation.

Aix’s expression changed slightly.

He had already decided to become the little male Zerg’s family Zerg; naturally, he couldn’t accept any other male Zerg.

“What’s wrong?”

Mousse took a sip of the drink on the table and asked, feigning ignorance.

“It’s nothing important.”

Aix raised his hand, preparing to press “reject.”

Even if this would cause him some losses, it wasn’t important.

Mousse, who had caught a glimpse of this, widened his eyes.

“You dare!”

Mousse glared at him resentfully.

“You’re dead if you dare to refuse!”

Aix was baffled.

Thinking of something, he clicked open the male Zerg’s profile to check.

Name, Mousse, S-class male Zerg, compatibility match… 100%.

For a moment, Aix didn’t know whether to be surprised that this was his and the little male Zerg’s matching notification, or their高达 100% compatibility match.

In the fertility-first Zerg race, compatibility match was directly linked to reproductive compatibility.

A compatibility of around 40% was enough to consider marriage.

A 100% compatibility match… this match practically said they were born to be together.

A match made in heaven.

Some of the guilt and unease in Aix’s heart also dissipated.

Even their genes were saying that he and the little male Zerg were meant to be the closest family Zerg.

Aix placed a hand on his abdomen and muttered in a low voice, “No wonder…”

“What?” Mousse didn’t hear clearly.

“No wonder… we got an egg on the first try.”

“It was more than just once,” Mousse was dissatisfied.

He had clearly worked hard for a long time!

Discussing the number of times they had mated with the little male Zerg still made Aix embarrassed.

His ears turned red, and he said in a low voice, “That’s why there are two.”

“What?”

This time, Mousse didn’t understand.

Aix took Mousse’s hand, placed it on his belly, and shared with him.

“There are two Zerg eggs. It’s a rare set of twins.”

And he added a compliment: “Sisi is really amazing.”

Mousse was stunned.

He stared at Aix’s belly with wide eyes.

This… this wasn’t what we agreed on!

How did an extra egg appear?!

How did the butterfly flap its wings?

It even changed the number of Zerg eggs.

Mousse carefully pondered where the variable had come from.

Could it be… because he worked so hard to avoid having his heart torn out, he ended up making an extra egg?

Mousse remained stunned.

Aix cleared his throat, hesitated, and said with difficulty:

“Two eggs need double the pheromone nourishment.”

“That’s no problem.”

He had given ten times the pheromones before; what was double?

The real problem was, he was running out of names for the cubs!

Author’s Note:

I’ll stop here. The next extra is: The Aix from the Dark Star Field who lost the little male Zerg and whose spiritual domain was shattered transmigrates/is reborn to more than ten years later (after marrying the Prince and having a child). It can also be considered as the married Aix temporarily losing the latter half of his memory.
PS: The next extra has a [self-NTR] warning. Dears who don’t like this, please skip.
