50 Returning to the Moment Before His Heart Was Torn Out
◎The reproductive cavity was full of the little male Zerg’s pheromones◎

Aix was stunned for a good while before he tentatively asked:

“Sisi, did you… did you bring your home female Zerg’s nutritional meal over? Is it inappropriate for me to eat this?”

Mousse tilted his head in confusion.

It was indeed his home female Zerg’s nutritional meal, Aix’s.

Why would Aix say it was inappropriate for him to eat it?

“It’s very appropriate. You’re pregnant, so you have a greater need for energy. You need to eat a pregnant female’s nutritional meal.”

A pregnant female eating a pregnant female’s meal, what could be more normal?

Mousse said it as if it were a matter of course.

Aix’s mouth fell open in astonishment. He subconsciously raised his hand to his stomach, and upon realizing his action, his ears turned bright red. He said in a panic:

“Sisi, you’ve misunderstood. Not all mated female Zerg get pregnant.”

Aix bit down on the word “mated,” saying it very lightly and vaguely.

He really didn’t want to bring up that experience that filled him with shame.

Aix, of course, didn’t think he was really pregnant.

He just assumed the little male Zerg lacked common knowledge in this area and had a misunderstanding, thus treating him as a pregnant female.

As for why he would lack this common knowledge, that was also very strange.

The little male Zerg was very skilled at mental grooming, and his technique was excellent. It was obvious he had a regular female Zerg partner. Why would he still have such a misunderstanding?

Could it be… the little male Zerg’s female Zerg got pregnant on the first try?

Aix was a little envious.

Of course, this was just the envy of a female Zerg who wanted a cub for companionship towards another female Zerg who already had one, and had nothing to do with anything else.

Fearing the little male Zerg wouldn’t understand, Aix tried hard to explain:

“To be precise, the possibility of pregnancy is very low. High-ranking Zerg have difficulty reproducing. Many loving couples who have been together for a hundred years don’t have an egg.”

Mousse, of course, knew all this.

He clasped his hands under his chin, his eyes shining as he gazed at Aix, and said softly and preciously:

“So, for us to have an egg in one night is simply a miracle! Let’s name the cub Miracle.”

Aix was stunned.

How… how did it progress to naming the cub?

No, they didn’t have a cub at all!

It took a week for a fertilized egg to implant in the womb. Even if he were really pregnant, it couldn’t be detected now.

Aix still didn’t believe he would get pregnant.

Their current relationship was already very strange.

If he were to get pregnant with the little male Zerg’s egg on top of that, it would be too much for Aix’s ability to accept.

Then again, his reproductive cavity was still full of the little male Zerg’s pheromones.

The current situation didn’t seem much better than being pregnant.

Aix was on pins and needles.

He really wanted to rush into the bathroom and wash off all the pheromones on his body.

But a female Zerg couldn’t open their reproductive cavity on their own. If he wanted to get the pheromones out, he would need a male Zerg’s help.

Aix couldn’t possibly make such a request to the little male Zerg.

And he would absolutely not accept any other male Zerg.

For a moment, he was frozen on the sofa, flustered and at a loss.

“It’s really going to get cold if you don’t eat. Do you need me to feed you?”

Mousse scooped up a spoonful of porridge and brought it to Aix’s mouth.

Aix was not used to being fed and subconsciously dodged backwards.

But when he looked up and saw the little male Zerg watching him with a smile, he stopped.

He obediently opened his mouth and ate the food brought to his lips.

He swallowed it whole, not even knowing if he was eating star-beast meat porridge or sea monster tentacles.

Mousse only fed him one spoonful before Aix snapped out of his daze, took the spoon from his hand, and ate by himself.

Aix treated the little male Zerg as a junior, as a cub.

He wasn’t so old that he couldn’t take care of himself. Of course, he couldn’t let a junior take care of him.

Although it was called a pregnant female’s nutritional meal, in the end, it was just an ordinary meal, just richer in nutrients and energy, and it tasted better.

Since the little male Zerg had brought it over, he couldn’t possibly not eat it.

As long as he didn’t get hung up on the words “pregnant female” and just treated it as a normal big meal, there wouldn’t be too much psychological pressure.

After the meal, Mousse had a mechanical Zerg come in to clear the plates.

The mechanical Zerg left, and the room was once again quiet and intimate with just the two of them.

Mousse sat sideways on the arm of the sofa, leaning halfway on Aix’s shoulder, looking as if he might fall into his arms at any moment.

Aix suddenly stood up, simultaneously supporting the male Zerg’s shoulder and arm to help him sit on the sofa, while he himself took a step back and stood to the side.

Quickly scanning the not-so-large room, Aix asked:

“May I borrow the bathroom to take a shower?”

His current appearance was truly terrible.

Wearing a night robe that revealed the cleavage of his chest muscles, and his body still covered in the scent of male Zerg pheromones, he looked as if he were luring the male Zerg for another round.

It’s no wonder the little male Zerg kept sticking to him.

Aix, of course, would not think this was the little male Zerg’s problem.

It was definitely his own problem.

He wasn’t dressed maturely enough and completely lacked the demeanor of an elder.

The little male Zerg just wanted to be close to him. What fault could the little male Zerg have?

“Of course you can, but there are no spare pajamas.”

Mousse only then realized so many things were missing. He thought for a moment and said:

“I’ll order them now, interstellar express, will arrive within half a star-hour. You go wash first, and I’ll bring the clothes in when they arrive.”

“No, you don’t have to!”

Aix quickly refused. “I have clothes in my spatial bracelet. Sisi, you can play with whatever you want, don’t mind me.”

Aix was afraid the little male Zerg would get a whim and bring him clothes, so before entering the bathroom, he deliberately took the spider doll from the bed and stuffed it into the little male Zerg’s arms, hoping to divert his attention.

“…”

Mousse fiddled with the doll in his arms for a few moments and couldn’t help but laugh.

Is Aix really treating him like a little cub?

The Aix from the original timeline had complex feelings for him.

The first image etched into Aix’s mind was “The Prince.”

The adult male Zerg who had possessed him, deprived him of everything, and made him pregnant with a Zerg egg. The adult male Zerg who had made him gradually fall, his body surrender, and even his heart lose its guard.

Only then did the image of the “little male Zerg” appear after they recognized each other.

The two images intertwined, constituting Aix’s complex feelings for him.

And this Aix now, he hadn’t had time to form a deep impression of “The Prince,” this adult male Zerg.

He was brought back to his childhood by that one call of “Aix-gege.”

What should this be called? A life-saving side effect?

A side effect of being spared the heart-tearing.

“This seems to be quite difficult…”

Mousse squeezed the spider doll’s body, kneading it lightly, but there wasn’t much worry in his heart.

With Aix’s obsession and favoritism for him, falling in love with him again was only a matter of time.

In the bathroom.

Aix stood under the shower, turned the water to the maximum, and let the scalding water wash over his body, steam filling the air.

But no matter how much he washed, the sweet male Zerg pheromones still lingered around him, making him anxious.

Is it because of the pheromones inside his body?

Aix lowered his head slightly, leaning against the wall with one hand, his gaze falling on his lower abdomen.

He didn’t know if it was his imagination, but he always felt a little bloated.

Did the little male Zerg put that much in?

Could he really be pregnant?

No, he couldn’t be. The fertility rate of high-ranking Zerg was so low.

But being filled with the little male Zerg’s pheromones was truly improper.

A female Zerg couldn’t open their reproductive cavity on their own, nor could they get the pheromones out.

But, they could get the womb sac out.

Aix raised his sharp claws, covered in black Zerg armor.

“Aix!”

Mousse felt a sudden palpitation, urging him to go to Aix’s side.

“The clothes are here. I’ll bring them in for you.”

He came to the bathroom door holding the clothes, knocked, and without waiting for a response, prepared to push the door open and enter.

He was the Prince and had the highest authority in the Prince’s mansion. Even if Aix had locked the door, he could ignore the lock command and enter directly.

However, he couldn’t push it open.

The door was being blocked from the inside.

Through the frosted glass of the bathroom door, he could see the female Zerg’s silhouette.

The female Zerg moved hastily, only managing to drape a towel.

A pure white towel, draped over the shoulder and arm that was holding the door. Even seeing just the blurry silhouette through the door, it felt very erotic.

Mousse covered his nose, making sure no red, unknown liquid was dripping down.

“No need! I have my own clothes!”

Aix was even more flustered than him.

“Alright then.”

Just as Aix breathed a sigh of relief, he heard the little male Zerg’s cheerful voice from outside:

“Do you need my help washing? I can scrub your back for you.”

Mousse pressed his palm against the glass, showing off his slender fingers.

Aix’s breath caught, and his heart almost stopped.

He leaned back, staring at the beautiful fingers that appeared on the frosted glass, almost losing his ability to speak.

“No need for help. I’m already done washing. I’ll be out soon.”

Aix said, while taking out a set of clothes from his spatial bracelet.

He held the door with the tip of his foot and changed his clothes at the fastest speed possible.

He was too nervous and rushed to even notice which set of clothes he had taken out.

After dressing by muscle memory, he realized he was wearing a military uniform.

A military uniform is fine.

He was supposed to take up a post at the military headquarters anyway.

Aix’s thoughts were in chaos. Without thinking much, he pulled open the door and went out.

The male Zerg leaning against the door fell directly into his arms.

Aix steadied the male Zerg, helping him stand firm.

Perhaps because he was fully dressed, Aix was no longer so afraid of physical contact with the little male Zerg.

“Ah? Why are you dressed so formally?”

Mousse sized up the military uniform on Aix.

If it were the original timeline, he would have thought Aix was about to engage in some military uniform play with him.

But the current Aix obviously couldn’t have such thoughts.

“I still need to go to the military headquarters to work.”

Aix said.

“Today? Can’t you take marriage leave? Pregnancy leave is fine too,” Mousse asked.

Marriage leave, pregnancy leave.

A vein throbbed on Aix’s temple, and his head ached.

“Sisi, I think we need to have a good talk.”

“We should talk.”

Mousse seriously considered whether he should propose to Aix, or wait for Aix to propose to him.

Mousse had never experienced this before; it was a blind spot in his knowledge.

Aix didn’t know what the male Zerg was thinking. Hearing the little male Zerg agree, he breathed a sigh of relief.

He led the little male Zerg to sit on the only sofa, while he himself knelt in front of it.

He took the little male Zerg’s hand, looked up at him seriously, and said:

“I have a question to ask you, Sisi. You answer me truthfully, and no matter what the answer is, I won’t blame you.”

Mousse held his breath in suspense, his eyes full of anticipation.

Is he going to propose?

Oh my, so fast? He hasn’t prepared anything yet.

“The one who drugged me… it wasn’t you, right?”

Aix held his breath, waiting for the little male Zerg’s answer.

He was a little worried, but more so, he was trusting.

Mousse: “…Huh?”

This question was not what he had imagined.

But Aix’s gaze was so focused on him, his eyes filled with him.

It was as if even if he answered that he was the one who drugged him, Aix wouldn’t really blame him.

So, Mousse couldn’t help but test him:

“What if I say… I did it?”

Aix’s grip on his hand tightened, a trace of pain and self-blame flashing through his turquoise eyes.

“It’s my fault. It’s because I wasn’t by your side that you didn’t receive proper guidance. It’s because I didn’t teach you well.”

Mousse was completely stunned.

High-ranking male Zerg were sensitive to emotions. He was sure that Aix was speaking from the heart.

He really thought that if he did such a thing, it was his own problem.

Mousse thought that at most, Aix wouldn’t blame him.

He never expected him to take the blame on himself.

Mousse raised a hand to his chest.

He suddenly felt that his heart-tearing had been for nothing.

“But this kind of thing can’t happen again.”

Aix put on a stern face and warned him seriously:

“Drugging me is one thing, but you can’t do this to other female Zerg, and you can’t touch forbidden drugs again.”

It felt like being lectured by an elder.

Mousse felt a little guilty.

After all, Aix had really raised him.

Before their separation, he had indeed regarded him as a trusted older brother, an elder.

In his eyes, Aix had a little bit of an elder’s authority.

He had some, but not much.

And besides, he hadn’t done such a thing, so why should he feel guilty?

Mousse immediately became righteous, his back straightening.

“I didn’t do it. Why would I drug you? Is there any female Zerg in the world I can’t get? Do I need to use such underhanded methods as drugs? Hmph.”

Mousse snorted, dismissive of using drugs.

Even his pheromones were more effective than the most potent drug in the world.

Aix’s sorrow turned to joy.

Looking at the proud and tsundere little male Zerg in front of him, he felt he was extremely cute.

“I knew it, my little male Zerg is the best.”

If you know, then hurry up and propose.

Mousse rolled his eyes at him, not planning to forgive him just like that.

“Sisi saved me…”

“Mmm.”

Hurry up and offer yourself in marriage.

Aix’s emotions were complex.

He felt moved, guilty, and also at a loss as to how to face the little male Zerg.

His little male Zerg was a young male Zerg. He had saved him from his heat, and not knowing how to help him recover, he had simply gone ahead and given him the male Zerg pheromones he needed.

The little male Zerg had paid a great price to save him.

The little male Zerg thought that as long as they had done it, the female Zerg would get pregnant, so he mentioned “marriage leave and maternity leave.”

The little male Zerg even planned to marry him and take responsibility for him and the non-existent Zerg egg.

How could Aix possibly latch onto his little male Zerg for such a thing?

“Thank you, Sisi, for saving me. Sisi, you can rest assured, I’m not pregnant. You don’t have to feel burdened.”

Aix’s eyes were full of affection and doting.

Mousse realized something was wrong and pressed, “What do you mean?”

Aix had no choice but to be clearer.

“We don’t have to get married.”

Mousse was stunned.

He couldn’t figure out what was going on.

This time, the development was much smoother than the original. They had recognized each other from the very beginning, and Aix loved him as much as ever.

But, how did his “female consort” disappear?

Aix looked at the time on his terminal, stood up, and said:

“I should go to the military headquarters for my post. Sisi, let’s add each other’s terminals. You can contact me if you need anything.”

The empire had ended its period of external warfare and was now in a phase of truce and governance. Aix was thus transferred back to the imperial capital star.

After meeting the Zerg Emperor and the Marshal and attending the Second Prince’s banquet, it was time for him to take up his post at the imperial capital’s military headquarters.

Aix, of course, wanted to spend more time with the little male Zerg.

But they had been separated for so long, and the little male Zerg had long had his own home.

He could no longer monopolize his little male Zerg as he had in the Dark Star Field.

Aix was a little sad but didn’t show it.

It was like a cub always having to leave home after growing up.

His little male Zerg had just left the protection of his wings too early.

Even if he wanted to take the little male Zerg back under his wing, he no longer had the right.

Compared to the joy of finding the little male Zerg and knowing he was safe and happy, this sadness was nothing.

At Aix’s request, Mousse exchanged terminal numbers with him and then saw him off.

Standing in the Prince’s mansion, watching the departing flyer, Mousse was completely dazed.

This wasn’t the script he knew.

Except for the development in the flyer, which barely matched Mousse’s understanding of the “script.”

Everything that happened in the Prince’s mansion afterwards completely deviated from the “script” he knew.

His heart was saved, but his female consort was also gone.

The entire plot was careening in an unknown direction.

No, no, I have to find a way to pull the plot back. I can’t lose my female consort.

Mousse held his head and tried hard to think of a countermeasure.

He got it!

Aix said there was no Zerg egg, so there was no need to take responsibility and no need to get married.

Which meant, as long as there was a Zerg egg, they could get married!

Mousse opened his terminal, found the familiar terminal number, and sent a message.

What if the butterfly effect got rid of the egg?

Mousse pondered.

Then I’ll just have to make another one!
·
On the flyer leaving White Night Star, Aix stared out the window at the familiar star chart, lost in thought.

When he left the little male Zerg’s vast palace and manor, Aix had learned the little male’s identity.

The eldest son of the Zerg Emperor and the Marshal, the Crown Prince of the Empire, the lord of White Night Star.

Mousse Sekaya.

So his little male Zerg really was a noble prince.

Just like that fantasy of his that he himself hadn’t dared to take seriously.

So, all this time, his little male Zerg had been so close to him.

So close it was like a brilliant star he could see just by looking up.

But he had been searching blindly with his head down.

They had missed so many years.

Aix knew of the Prince.

It was just that since the Prince was a male Zerg, the royal family was very protective of his privacy, and there were few images of the Prince on the star network.

And in Aix’s impression, the Prince was still an underage Zerg cub, a teenage male Zerg.

Perhaps because he had been fighting abroad for too long and hadn’t paid attention to the news within the empire, he didn’t even know that the Prince had completed his physiological awakening and officially become an adult.

Aix sighed softly in his heart.

The terminal on his wrist vibrated. A message he had set as a special notification automatically popped up.

[We can test in a week. If you’re pregnant, we’ll get married!]
Aix didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

His little male Zerg, the naive Prince, still thought that mating would lead to pregnancy.

The fertility rate of high-ranking Zerg was so low; the probability of getting pregnant in one night was comparable to being gene-matched with an imperial prince, even lower than winning the lottery.

To make the little male Zerg stop dwelling on this matter, Aix chose to agree.

[Okay, if I’m pregnant, we’ll get married.]
Anyway, this was an impossible thing.
·
A week later.

The adjutant came to report with Aix’s physical examination report.

“Sir! You’re pregnant! With twins!”

“What?” Aix, behind his desk, looked up in astonishment.

The adjutant opened the image, extremely excited:

“It’s twins! Very rare twins!”

In the image of the inside of the womb displayed on the virtual screen, two embryos were developing, one on the left and one on the right.

Aix: “…”

This world must have gone mad.
