CH48: Returning to the Moment Before His Heart Was Torn Out
◎“Aix-gege, you won’t hurt Sisi, right?”◎
To wake up and find your body ten years younger, the endless work gone, and your beloved female Zerg lying right beside you—what a wonderful thing.
It would be even better if, in three minutes, he wasn’t about to have his heart torn out by the female Zerg next to him.
Yes, Mousse had been reborn to the day of his physiological awakening.
After ten years of loving bliss with his female consort, Mousse had signs of breaking through to SS-class.
It was a profound and mysterious feeling.
As if his mind had linked to another time and space.
When he opened his eyes again, he was here.
The flyer was filled with his and Aix’s pheromones, a testament to how chaotic and intense their night had been.
The time on his terminal showed the date of his physiological awakening from ten years ago.
At this moment, he was lying in Aix’s arms, intimately connected to him.
In three minutes, Aix would wake up, make him open his heart in the physical sense, and grasp it in his hand.
Three minutes was enough time for him to escape.
But it was more likely that the moment he moved, Aix, so closely connected to him, would awaken and then proceed to the heart-tearing ahead of schedule.
What should he do?
Even if he could explain that he hadn’t drugged or forced him, that was only if Aix was willing to listen.
Female Zerg were creatures whose bodies reacted faster than their brains.
It was very likely that before Mousse could finish a sentence, Aix would have finished tearing out his heart.
Watching the time tick by, Mousse, still without a foolproof plan, became so nervous that he got hard.
Realizing this, Mousse was stunned.
He didn’t want to either.
A male Zerg who had just completed his physiological awakening was already sensitive. The flyer was also filled with his and Aix’s pheromones. And Aix was pressed tightly against him, stark naked. Even moving his cheek would brush against Aix’s full chest muscles.
Only one minute left.
Since death was the outcome no matter what he chose, Mousse decided to take a gamble.
He held Aix and changed their position, making Aix sit up.
Aix was not yet fully awake. His head drooped on Mousse’s shoulder, his brows furrowed in unease.
Mousse brushed the hair away from his eyes and said in his ear:
“Aix-gege, you won’t hurt Sisi, right?”
With that, he started moving Aix.
At the same time, he whispered “Aix-gege” in his ear over and over.
Aix awoke from a chaotic and disorderly dream, not yet fully conscious, and was thrust into losing his senses, his soul feeling as if it were being shattered.
Aix opened his mouth in panic but made no sound.
Everything in the Dark Star Field, the countless life-and-death crises, had taught him that the more dangerous the situation, the more important it was to remain quiet.
Sound would only expose his position, reveal his weakness, and invite a more ferocious attack.
This had become a habit ingrained in his very bones.
Even though his consciousness was not yet fully clear, he instinctively suppressed and restrained himself, not making a sound.
The continuous feeling of weightlessness made him subconsciously want to cling to something.
To grab onto everything he could.
Thus, in the chaos, he clung tightly to the male Zerg in front of him, the culprit who had reduced him to such a wretched state.
Aix struggled to gather his consciousness amidst the ups and downs, vaguely understanding his situation.
He had been drugged at the Second Prince’s banquet.
The heat period, forcibly triggered by the forbidden drug, came on fiercely, completely engulfing his reason. Even though he had tried to distance himself from the crowd and do everything he could to save himself before losing consciousness, he had still failed.
He had fallen into the hands of the male Zerg who had plotted against him and was forcibly possessed.
The male Zerg would never let him go easily. What would await him next?
The male Zerg’s coercion, being stripped of everything, years of hard work turning to dust.
And his little male Zerg…
He still hadn’t found his little male Zerg.
He might never have the chance to search again.
All these thoughts occurred in an instant. Aix understood his situation and also raised his hand, which had become weak and powerless under the influence of the pheromones.
Even if he had to die, he would take this male Zerg, who had ruined everything for him and destroyed his hope of finding his little male, with him.
“Aix-gege.”
Mousse’s mental power sensed Aix’s awakening and immediately worked even harder.
He nuzzled Aix’s neck, cooing softly.
“Sisi has missed you so much these years.”
Aix’s raised hand froze, and his eyes, which had been filled with hatred, suddenly widened.
“Aix-gege, why are you ignoring me? Don’t you like Sisi anymore?”
Mousse whined while clinging to Aix and rubbing against him desperately.
Aix’s mouth was agape, his eyes wide, looking completely dumbfounded. He managed to squeeze out a bewildered “Sisi,” which was quickly shattered by the thrusts. Along with it, his reason was also stirred into pieces.
One star-hour later, Mousse easily pushed aside Aix’s arm, slipped out of his embrace, and prepared to take a shower.
Aix, already soaked in pheromones, lay stunned and motionless.
Only when he felt him leave did those misty, turquoise eyes follow him, showing a hint of panic.
“I’m just going to take a shower. I’ll be in the next room and will be back soon.”
Mousse leaned over and kissed Aix on the lips. He saw Aix’s eyes widen again, pupils dilating, becoming round. He looked dazed again.
Mousse was very familiar with this look on Aix.
Every time he was flooded with an overdose of pheromones, he would become like this.
In such a situation, just letting Aix be quiet for a while would allow him to recover.
Conversely, if he stayed by Aix’s side, clinging and rubbing against him, Aix would often remain dazed for several star-hours.
Mousse entered the bathroom and enjoyed a nice bath.
He soaked in the warm water, caressing his intact chest.
He should have survived this time, right?
The crisis was resolved, completely different from his past experience.
In the original timeline, he would have been lying in the emergency room by now.
Now, he was still able to soak in the bathtub.
The substantial change between the two was actually just one thing.
It wasn’t the intimacy after waking up, nor the affectionate friendliness he had shown, but that one call of “Aix-gege.”
With one “gege,” Aix had dispelled all hostility and hatred.
Even though he was doing things more excessively than in the original timeline, Aix had not resisted at all.
Of course, this was mainly because Aix was already dazed.
After finishing his bath, Mousse changed into a night robe and walked out of the bathroom.
Aix had already sat up from the bed, supporting his head with one hand, his brows slightly furrowed. He didn’t look very well.
But when he came out of the door, the female Zerg still looked up at him at the first moment.
“Is your head hurting again? Your spiritual domain… I’ll give you a mental grooming.”
Mousse sat down on the edge of the bed, raised his hand to Aix’s head, and extended his mental threads, wanting to help Aix repair his spiritual domain.
“No… I’m an S-class, my spiritual domain is very dangerous.”
Aix stopped the male Zerg.
His somewhat probing gaze fell on the male Zerg’s face, full of anticipation yet afraid to confirm, fearing it was just a fleeting joy.
He tentatively called out, “Sisi?”
“Mmm.”
He was so familiar with the Aix from his memories that Mousse just answered casually.
Only after answering did he realize that this was the Aix who was still searching for him, who had been filled with hope countless times only to be met with disappointment.
Mousse looked up into Aix’s eyes, took his hand, placed it on his own cheek, and rubbed against it gently, saying seriously:
“It’s me, Aix-gege. I’m Sisi. Don’t you recognize me?”
The change was too great.
Except for the hair color and the color of his right eye, everything else was completely different from his memory.
If he had met him on the street, Aix would never have dared to recognize him.
At most, he would have thought, if the little male had grown up smoothly, would he be this age, would he be this beautiful and dazzling.
But now, the beautiful, blond male Zerg was looking at him seriously, softly calling him “Aix-gege.”
Aix’s eyes grew hot. He raised his hand to touch the male Zerg, but hesitated and stopped just as he was about to touch his shoulder.
Mousse took the initiative to throw himself into Aix’s arms, hugging him and nuzzling his neck.
Being warmly embraced by the male Zerg, the empty cavity of his heart was filled, and his body, which had decayed for years, felt as if it had come back to life.
Aix’s hand landed on the male Zerg’s shoulder and back, holding the male Zerg in front of him tightly.
“Sisi, my Sisi…”
Aix’s eyes filled with hot tears.
His Sisi, his treasure, had finally returned to his side.
“Don’t cry, Aix-gege. Breathe, deep breaths…”
Mousse soothed the female Zerg’s back and sighed sorrowfully, “Your spiritual domain is in such a terrible state. You can’t get so emotional.”
His persuasion had no effect. The female Zerg’s chest heaved violently, looking as if he was about to pass out.
“You… sigh, I should repair your spiritual domain for you first.”
Mousse slipped out of the female Zerg’s embrace, pulled him over, and had him lie on his lap.
“No,” Aix wanted to refuse, but he was afraid of hurting the little male and didn’t even dare to struggle. He just said urgently:
“Sisi, you don’t understand. The spiritual domain of a battle-hardened military female is extremely chaotic and difficult to groom. What’s more, my spiritual domain is also…”
Aix swallowed the rest of his words and changed his sentence:
“I’m an S-class. The higher the level, the thicker the mental barrier, and the harder it is to enter… If you encounter a mental attack, you’ll be in great danger.”
Nonsense.
What thick mental barrier? Aix’s spiritual domain was shattered to pieces; he didn’t even have a complete mental barrier.
As for an attack… Aix didn’t attack him even when he was doing that to him, so how could he possibly attack him in his spiritual domain?
Mousse didn’t expose Aix and just said:
“Relax, I’m also an S-class. It’s no problem. And I’ve given mental grooming to female Zerg many times; I’m very skilled.”
The male Zerg’s mental power had already entered his spiritual domain, and Aix suddenly lost all his strength.
He tried hard to keep his emotions calm, afraid of hurting his little male.
The mental power that entered his spiritual domain indeed reached S-class strength.
It even gave Aix the feeling that it was more than just S-class.
But Aix had no experience with a male Zerg’s mental power, so he couldn’t say exactly how strong the little male was.
Aix could feel that his chaotic and shattered spiritual domain was being repaired piece by piece, becoming orderly and complete.
Just as the little male had said, he was very skilled.
Male Zerg of the little male’s age mostly didn’t have cubs and only needed to give mental grooming to their own female Zerg.
To be so skilled at mental grooming… it seemed the little male was a very responsible partner and treated his female Zerg well.
Aix thought randomly, feeling that his little male was good in every way.
Suddenly, Aix remembered what had happened before.
After he was drugged, it was his little male who had helped him through his heat. Even when he woke up, the little male was still wanting him. Even now, his reproductive cavity was still full of the little male’s pheromones.
All the things that had been covered up by the joy of reuniting with the little male and that he had temporarily forgotten all came flooding back into Aix’s mind.
Aix’s body suddenly stiffened.
