SGT CH13: Zerg Egg Examination
◎The little male zerg on his lap was light and soft, his sleeping appearance tranquil and lovely.◎
[So, can the host explain why the live broadcast room was blacked out for three whole days and four nights?]
[I almost thought my computer had a virus.]
[I came to watch the scum gong’s reformation, not to stare at a black screen and contemplate the meaning of life, hey!]
Mousse ignored these strange creatures who had a rich desire to pry into his private zerg life.
He checked the status bar.
He found that over the past few days, the scum gong value had successively dropped by 3 points.
It had now reached a neat 70.
It wasn’t a waste of his hard work these past few days.
But a scum gong value of 70 was still too high.
This live broadcast room hadn’t set a reformation deadline for him, but that didn’t mean time was infinite.
On the contrary, time was very tight.
So tight that… perhaps today was the final deadline.
Because the zerg egg in Aix’s abdomen still showed no reaction, as quiet as if it didn’t exist.
Even though Mousse had taken Aix to battle in various locations over the past three days.
The sofa, the carpet, by the wall, the sink, in front of the mirror, in the bathtub…
That zerg egg had shown no movement at all.
Even when Aix was knocked unconscious by the rich pheromones and then woken up by Mousse, Aix would just stare at him blankly for a while, then continue to move according to his request.
When he really couldn’t hold on anymore, he would just let out a low sob and cling to him with difficulty.
He never begged for mercy, nor did he say the pheromones were enough or that the zerg egg had recovered.
This left Mousse feeling very uncertain.
He secretly sized up Aix, who was dining opposite him.
Aix was already neatly dressed and had washed up properly, yet he still exuded a feeling of being saturated with pheromones.
Inside and out, he smelled of him.
And he looked dazed, his reactions particularly slow.
He had been eating a pregnancy nutrition meal for ten minutes and still hadn’t finished, a stark contrast to his previous eating speed.
This state of Aix had appeared before.
On the night of his physiological awakening.
And in the few days after Aix was first brought out of the punishment room, when he first came into contact with his pheromones.
At that time, Aix’s body was not yet accustomed to his pheromones. Every time he was nourished by his pheromones, he would fall into a deep sleep.
It wasn’t that his stamina couldn’t keep up—a female zerg’s stamina far surpassed that of a male zerg of the same level. It was just that Aix’s body was too sensitive to his pheromones and couldn’t bear it.
As the number of contacts increased, Aix’s ability to accept the pheromones strengthened, and he would no longer appear as不堪 (bùkān) “overwhelmed” as he did at first.
Mousse had thought that Aix had already adapted to his pheromones.
He hadn’t expected that once the amount of pheromones increased, Aix would return to his original state.
Aix took half a day to eat one nutrition meal. Mousse didn’t rush him, and also slowed down, eating the food in front of him.
He even hoped this meal could go on forever.
That way, he wouldn’t have to go to the medical room to face the devastating news of the zerg egg’s death, and then be killed by Aix, who would be distraught over the loss of his cub.
No matter how much he slowed down, a meal would eventually end.
Hearing Aix put down his tableware, Mousse’s heart turned cold.
But escaping was not a solution. He had to face it eventually.
Mousse put down his utensils, picked up a napkin, and, trying his best to maintain his composure, elegantly wiped the corners of his mouth.
Fortunately, the female zerg was still dazed and didn’t see the panic and helplessness beneath his calm exterior.
Mousse stood up, walked over to Aix’s side, and leaned over to check the suppressor ring on the female zerg’s neck.
He confirmed that the suppressor ring was intact and that the female zerg couldn’t use any strength at the moment.
Mousse felt slightly relieved.
SS-level was not so easy to break through.
The suppressor could still bring a zerg a considerable sense of security.
Mousse straightened up, said “Let’s go,” and without looking at the dazed female zerg in the chair, strode out.
Aix reacted a half-beat later, getting up to follow.
When he realized the prince was leaving the room, and even leaving the basement level, his breathing became chaotic with tension.
These past few days, he had spent his time in a chaotic entanglement with the prince.
It was fine in the room, but if the prince wanted to… him outside…
Fortunately, the prince didn’t seem to have any intention of using him.
He just took him to the medical room.
The medical room was for…
Aix’s hand rose slightly, landing on his abdomen where he could faintly perceive a rise and fall.
The sub-female doctor had already been notified by the prince and had prepared everything.
Seeing the prince enter with General Aix, he immediately went up to greet them.
“Your Highness, General Aix, please.”
After signaling the General to lie down on the medical chair, the sub-female doctor turned back to the prince and habitually asked:
“Does Your Highness want a scan? To check on your recovery.”
“No need,” Mousse refused coldly.
His life might not even be guaranteed. What was there to recuperate?
The sub-female doctor tactfully said no more and focused on operating the instruments, performing a physical examination on the General.
On the contrary, Aix, lying on the medical chair, raised his eyes. His gaze fell on the prince’s chest, his lips pressed into a thin line.
When the prince’s gaze looked over, Aix averted his eyes, his gaze lowered.
His right hand, placed by his side, moved slightly, his fingertips unconsciously curling.
“Huh? General Aix’s physical data…”
Seeing the content displayed on the virtual screen, the sub-female doctor let out a low cry.
“What’s wrong?” Mousse hurried forward to check.
The sub-female doctor said with a smile: “The General’s physical data is perfect! He has reached the peak of an S-level female zerg, just one opportunity away from breaking through to SS!”
Mousse’s body stiffened, and his feet shifted, subconsciously retreating.
The sub-female doctor was still praising: “This is all thanks to Your Highness! If the General can successfully break through to SS, all his old injuries can be repaired, and his combat power will also have a qualitative leap.”
As he spoke, the doctor noticed that the prince was getting farther and farther away and couldn’t help but be puzzled: “Your Highness, where are you going?”
“Ahaha…” Mousse let out a dry laugh, his brain working at high speed. “I suddenly remembered… I haven’t visited my female and male fathers for a month. My female father must miss me. I’ll go to the palace to accompany him.”
Female father, save me!
Mousse turned to flee.
A slight tugging sensation came from behind.
Mousse turned back and saw Aix pulling at the corner of his clothes. In the green eyes looking at him, there was a hint of barely perceptible unease and pleading.
Is he asking me not to go?
Perhaps there was something else… a more complex emotion.
But before Mousse could understand, the female zerg had already let go. The raised eyes also drooped, returning to that silent and deathly still appearance.
The cub’s safety was at stake. Aix must be very uneasy.
So uneasy that… he was trying to seek a trace of reliance from him, the zerg who had been hurting him all along.
If he left.
And Aix learned of the zerg egg’s death, he would break down, right?
Losing the motivation that kept him alive, his heart like dead ashes, what would Aix do then?
Would he seek revenge on him, or would he directly self-destruct?
No matter which one, Aix could not escape death.
“Forget it… female zergs are so troublesome.”
Mousse complained under his breath, turned around, walked to Aix’s side, and raised his hand to his forehead.
Strands of mental power invaded the female zerg’s sea of consciousness, performing a mental grooming.
They had slept together for a month, yet he had never given Aix a mental grooming.
Aix’s mental sea was as terrible as he had imagined, chaotic, disorderly, and dark.
With such a mental state, just living every day was probably a kind of pain.
Mousse frowned slightly and had no intention of doing a deep grooming. The mental threads only lingered on the outer layer, providing simple comfort.
Just this simple contact triggered a fierce resistance from the female zerg’s spiritual world.
“No…”
Aix’s brows furrowed tightly, and he let out a low groan. The hand at his side rose and grabbed Mousse’s clothes.
Mousse pressed down on his hand, signaled the doctor to continue the examination, and had no intention of withdrawing his mental threads.
The suppressor wasn’t safe enough. He needed other means to temporarily control Aix.
He couldn’t really die at Aix’s hands like this.
He had nothing to be attached to anyway. Aix would be buried with him.
One for one, plus the zerg egg probably counted as one for two? In any case, he wouldn’t be at a loss.
It would just make his female and male fathers sad…
“Get out!”
Aix was still resisting, resisting his invasion of his spiritual world.
“Do you think I’m interested in your spiritual world?”
Mousse was extremely disgusted.
He didn’t want to enter Aix’s spiritual world at all, didn’t want to see any images from his memory.
But even though he only lingered on the surface, some content was still read by his mental threads.
…
In the small and dim underground safe house.
The little golden-haired male zerg was so sleepy he couldn’t keep his eyes open, swaying in his chair.
The black-haired female zerg’s heart ached watching him. He reached out to guard the side of the chair, afraid the little male zerg would fall.
“Go to sleep now,” the black-haired female zerg coaxed softly.
“There’s only one bed, and it’s so small. How can we sleep?”
The little male zerg had never slept in such a small bed.
Even when he was at his smallest, he had a whole room to himself.
The floor was covered with a fluffy carpet, on which were scattered cub toys.
A soft, wide bed occupied a corner of the room, the surface only a dozen centimeters from the ground, so it wouldn’t hurt even if he fell.
Now there were two zergs. How could they possibly fit in such a small bed?
The black-haired female zerg, the ruthless hunter codenamed X, didn’t think his bed was small.
He could usually turn over on it.
Adding a small cub wouldn’t make much of a difference.
Besides, it was just a bed. As long as you could sleep on it, it was enough. Why did it need to be so wide?
It was better to save the space for other things.
Like some of his self-made weapons.
Those were the truly important things.
But X also knew that male zergs were particularly delicate.
Especially this little male zerg, who was obviously from a good background. He was probably not used to the hardship of squeezing in to sleep with another zerg.
So, X, who was bewitched by the tender little cub and single-mindedly wanted to become the “female father” recognized by the little cub, took the initiative to say:
“You sleep on the bed. I’ll watch over you from the side.”
So, regardless of whether the little male zerg was willing or not, he carried the little male zerg to the bed.
He covered him with a blanket and carefully tucked in the corners.
X himself sat at the foot of the bed, leaning against the wall, wiping his sharp weapons.
X’s original intention was to let the little male zerg know that he would protect his safety.
He had weapons, and he was very strong. No zerg could harm him.
But it seemed to have the opposite effect.
The little male zerg huddled under the blanket, not daring to move. Just from his breathing, you could tell he was definitely not asleep, even though he pretended to close his eyes.
X belatedly realized that his weapons had scared the little male zerg.
So he put everything away, sat quietly by the bed, and reduced his presence.
Only then did the little male zerg’s breathing gradually calm down.
X watched the little male zerg’s sleeping face for a while, finding him cuter and cuter the more he looked.
Such a cute little male zerg would be his cub in the future.
X leaned against the wall and took a short nap.
When he woke up to a sound, he found that the little male zerg had somehow moved from the head of the bed to the foot.
At this moment, he was resting his head on his lap, sleeping soundly.
X had never been so close to such a soft and fragile little life.
He couldn’t help but hold his breath, his body stiff, not daring to move.
He was afraid of waking and scaring away the little male zerg on his lap.
In X’s distant memory, everything that night was so beautiful.
The little male zerg on his lap was light and soft, his sleeping appearance tranquil and lovely.
Even the dim yellow light exuded a cozy warmth, like the lighting in a fairytale movie.
…
Mousse stood stiffly by Aix’s medical chair, not moving for a long time.
“Your Highness, Your Highness?”
The sub-female doctor’s call brought him back to his senses.
He blinked, slowly turned his head to look, and heard the doctor say in a joyful and cheerful voice: “Congratulations to Your Highness and the General. The zerg egg has resumed development and is very healthy. This is simply a miracle!”
