RBNR Ch45: Young people are full of passion
From the sofa to the stairs, to the bedroom door on the second floor… clothes were scattered everywhere.
The blanket was piled around Qin Bao’s waist. He lay face down at the foot of the bed, feet pressing a pillow, back covered in fine sweat. Feng Chengyu pinned him down, canine teeth piercing the skin on his neck again.
Alphas are so unreasonable.
One moment, Feng Chengyu was gently stroking his head; the next, he turned his face and kissed him fiercely and roughly.
Qin Bao had resisted, but their compatibility was so high that he was kissed into submission, his resistance softening.
At the stairs, Feng Chengyu bit down. As the pheromones were injected into his gland, his body went weak, and Alpha’s glandular fluid flowing through his body.
It was both painful and pleasurable.
The emptiness was completely filled, a comfortable warmth spreading through him.
How could Qin Bao resist?
Their compatibility was so high.
Before he left last time, he hadn’t let Feng Chengyu bite him due to the upcoming neck ring ad shoot. Because he had to suppress his Alpha instincts, Feng Chengyu retaliated by biting marks all over his body.
What was embarrassing for Qin Bao was that he didn’t feel good either.
Without the pheromone exchange, he remained irritable, his glands throbbing, and he often dreamt at night.
Back home, with no such concerns, he could now freely exchange pheromones, though this person seemed incredibly aroused… They couldn’t have a proper conversation, as if only se-x was on his mind!
It seemed like an addiction.
They were both controlled by pheromones, like they were enchanted.
So depraved.
Qin Bao flipped over and sat up.
He woke up at 8 AM the next day, seeing that Feng Chengyu was already awake and dressing in the walk-in closet.
A white shirt, tailored trousers, everything immaculate, paired with that handsome, aloof face, he looked like he was ready for an Alliance press conference, not just out of bed.
“Did you sleep well?”
Hearing the noise, Feng Chengyu looked at him through the mirror.
“Time to leave.”
His tone was businesslike, as if they didn’t know each other well.
Four words suddenly popped into Qin Bao’s mind: A wolf in sheep’s clothing.
“Can we go tomorrow?” Qin Bao’s messy light blonde hair made him reluctant to move. “I love this feeling, so decadent. I want to eat in bed and never get up again.”
Feng Chengyu was tying his tie, elegant and straight-backed: “Tomorrow, I can feed you in bed.”
Qin Bao: “…”
Although considering the context, Feng Chengyu meant feeding him food, but with that face, couldn’t he speak differently?
The Qin family was not only feudal but also traditional in some ways. Originally, they were supposed to visit each other’s family a week after the wedding, but due to their schedules and various other reasons, it was postponed for over a month.
Feng Chengyu’s family also had plans. Being such a big family, a post-wedding meal was inevitable. Fortunately, Feng’s professor parents were extremely socially anxious, so the meal was postponed. Both families agreed to meet at the Qin house for one meal to settle everything.
Everyone had cleared their schedules to match Qin Bao’s return.
Skipping this meal because of laziness was inexcusable.
Qin Bao had to get up and go to the dressing room to change.
When he arrived, in such a large space, Feng Chengyu suddenly paused and glanced at his legs.
Seeing all the marks on his legs, Qin Bao became alert and pulled his T-shirt down to cover his thighs: “What are you looking at!”
If he kept looking, he might turn into a beast again!
As he urgently searched for clothes, an arm wrapped around his waist from behind.
Qin Bao felt his legs go weak: “Feng Chengyu?!”
“Don’t move, I’m putting a gland patch on you.” Feng Chengyu said calmly, “If you move, who knows what might happen.”
This person was now done pretending.
Qin Bao’s back hair stood up, and he obediently stood still: “…I can do it myself.”
Feng Chengyu ignored him, carefully licking the wounds with his tongue, using the healing factors in his Alpha saliva to tend to the poor Omega’s gland. Knowing that Qin Bao might go weak and unable to stand, he steadily held his waist the whole time.
Finally, Feng Chengyu released him like a gentleman.
Qin Bao immediately suppressed the tingling sensation, quickly grabbed onto the cabinet, and barely managed to stand still: “…”
After applying the gland patch, Feng Chengyu turned around, opened the jewelry drawer, and rummaged through it for a tie clip. His beautiful, well-defined fingers slid past several items before stopping on a tie clip at the bottom.
Qin Bao noticed that Feng Chengyu chose the one he had bought.
After a moment, Qin Bao bit his lip and couldn’t help but ask, “Didn’t you say you didn’t like it?”
The last time they were at Grody, Feng Chengyu’s reaction made it clear that he didn’t like it. What changed his mind?
“You bought it specifically for me,” Feng Chengyu said as he put it on in front of the mirror. “How could I not like it?”
So, Feng Chengyu already knew.
Who spilled the beans?
It must have been Ms. Rong.
“It wasn’t anything special, I just picked it up randomly,” Qin Bao admitted, quickly and seriously flipping through his clothes. “It was a thank-you gift for the motorcycle helmet you gave me.”
Feeling as if he were under scrutiny, Qin Bao felt Feng Chengyu’s gaze as tangible as a physical touch.
Then, he heard Feng Chengyu chuckle and say, “Got it.”
*
Since they were staying at the Qin household for the night, Feng Chengyu drove his own car that day—a gray sports coupe, far less mature and steady than his usual business car.
If it weren’t for his profession, Feng Chengyu, at his age, would be living his best, most flamboyant years. For example, Ying the movie star, who lived in the same villa area, often drove around in his flashy blue sports car.
It was Qin Bao’s first time riding in Feng Chengyu’s car.
The interior was spotless, as if it had just come out of the factory, with no extra decorations. It seemed no one had ever sat in the passenger seat.
Recently, Qin Bao had been in the public eye a lot, often seen with Feng Chengyu. To avoid being recognized, he wore a fisherman’s hat and slept in the passenger seat, covering half his face.
A popular song by a singer named Ling Che was playing in the car.
“The small fragments in the galaxy,
Spark when they collide.
Your silhouette across the light years,
Revives my soul from ashes.
Orbiting within a galaxy’s circle,
Fixed for millions of years.
Unable to stop wanting to get closer to you,
The more impulsive, the further away I get…”
“Bao Bao.”
Feng Chengyu woke him up.
“We’re home.”
Qin Bao opened his eyes, and the melancholy, gentle male voice on the radio made Feng Chengyu seem even more affectionate. Their eyes met, and the music made his heart race.
Calling him Bao Bao…
He turned his face away and saw the chaste tree at the Qin family’s entrance, blooming with blue-purple flowers.
It was the end of summer. This was the longest time Qin Bao had been away from home, and he felt a bit disoriented. He really… got married.
They got out of the car, and Feng Chengyu took many gifts from the trunk. Qin Bao didn’t know when he had prepared them and felt a bit embarrassed by his own empty hands.
How would he repay Feng Chengyu for this kindness?
Ms. Rong and Professor Feng had already arrived. Hearing the car, Ms. Rong came out in high heels to greet them, “Bao’er, Chengyu!”
She was beaming with joy, giving off the air of a homecoming.
Qin Bao greeted her, and Feng Chengyu also spoke up, “Mom.”
He hadn’t called her that in person since the wedding. Ms. Rong responded joyfully, covering her mouth with her hand, “I knew Bao’er’s taste was good. That tie clip suits you well.”
She then offered to help Feng Chengyu with the gifts.
Mystery solved, it was indeed Ms. Rong who had let it slip.
Feeling embarrassed, Qin Bao’s face turned red, and he quickly took some of the bags from Feng Chengyu’s hands, saying stiffly, “I’ll take them.”
Mr. Qin and Professor Feng also came out, making a grand welcome for the young couple. They chatted about their journey and Qin Bao’s work, asking if he was tired from being away for so long.
It would be impolite not to greet them.
Qin Bao’s face turned red as he stammered out, “Dad, Mom, how are you?”
Professor Feng was momentarily taken aback and blushed a little, “Good kid.”
Professor Lin, feeling shy, simply linked arms with Qin Bao, “Your grandpa has been asking about you, eagerly waiting for your return.”
Qin Bao thought to himself: Grandpa is probably looking forward to giving me a scolding!
Surprisingly, when they entered the hall, Grandfather Qin was all smiles, not mentioning anything from their group chat. His maternal grandparents were also there, each handing them a big red envelope.
“Wishing you both love and longevity!”
“May you live in harmony!”
“Fly together like a pair of phoenixes…”
Following tradition, the two knelt to receive the red envelopes.
Feng Chengyu stood up first and extended a hand to Qin Bao, who swatted it away and stood up on his own, causing another round of laughter.
What’s so funny!
Since returning, Qin Bao’s face hadn’t cooled down once.
As dinner started, they talked about everyday matters, mentioning that the young couple was often busy and needed help finding suitable household staff and drivers.
“No need, I’m learning to drive. I’ll have my license by next month.”
Qin Bao knew that Feng Chengyu usually had a driver for work, so the arrangement was mainly for his own use.
Grandfather Qin said, “Learning to drive is good. Having a license makes things much more convenient. Do you have a car in mind? Grandpa will buy it for you.”
Grandfather Rong immediately put down his chopsticks, saying, “Let’s just order one. Xiao Bao should have something stable and safe. I’ll find someone who knows cars to pick the best configuration and send it over.”
Grandfather Qin said, “Lao Rong, do you think I don’t know cars? Do I need you to find an outsider?”
Grandfather Rong said, “Of course, you’re the great general, knowledgeable about machinery. But having an extra option for comparison wouldn’t hurt. How about I show you the configuration list first?”
Even this they wanted to handle.
Qin Bao frowned slightly, “No need to buy it. It’s not what you think, I already—”
“We already have a car in mind and are discussing it,” Feng Chengyu interrupted, smiling. “Thank you, Grandpa Qin, and thank you, Grandpa Rong.”
Under the table, Feng Chengyu gently held Qin Bao’s hand and turned to give him a look.
Qin Bao immediately understood.
How could he mention now that he planned to commute by motorcycle and had already arranged for the big machine? That might just ruin the whole meal.
No wonder Feng Chengyu, who dealt with a bunch of old folks in meetings all day, was so cunning.
“We don’t need a housekeeper either. Apart from breakfast, we rarely eat at home,” Feng Chengyu added tactfully but politely.
“As for breakfast… we’re used to making it ourselves. Xiao Bao has learned some simple dishes, and I know a few things too. Since we’re married, we prefer to learn to live independently.”
Hearing that they wanted to live independently, everyone had no objections.
Professor Lin was supportive, as she always disliked extravagance, and she chimed in, “Yes, Chengyu has been cooking for himself since he was very young. I was so busy back then that I even ate the meals he made.”
Ms. Rong seemed surprised, “Bao’er, you can make breakfast?”
“It was taught by Mama Tao,” Feng Chengyu said. “He can make whole grain porridge now.”
As if he knew him well.
Qin Bao felt inexplicably ashamed. “Yes,” he agreed and played along with Feng Chengyu, pretending to be loving, “Feng Chengyu also taught me how to fry eggs.”
Just a few details of their life together made everyone smile broadly, making for a harmonious and joyful meal.
The meal lasted two hours, and soon it was afternoon.
Except for Qin Bao and Feng Chengyu, everyone else had to go home.
After sending off Professor Feng and his wife—who, being intellectuals, didn’t say anything too sentimental but just reminded them to come home for meals—they were very polite to each other. Professor Feng even opened the car door for Professor Lin, who thanked him twice.
Then it was time to see Ms. Rong and Qin Bao’s maternal grandparents off.
Qin Bao remembered running into Mu Xian at Grody and mentioned it to Ms. Rong. She was surprised, “How is he now?”
“He’s doing well. I ordered two suits from him,” Qin Bao said. “He asked me to say hello.”
Ms. Rong seemed lost in thought for a moment and sighed, “I haven’t seen him in almost four or five years. I didn’t expect that kid to have such perseverance and make it through. But I…”
Qin Bao reassured her, “There will be opportunities in the future.”
Ms. Rong nodded.
The two fell a few steps behind while Feng Chengyu walked ahead with the grandparents.
Watching the young Alpha’s back, Ms. Rong suddenly asked, “Bao’er, are you happy?”
“To work and have food to eat,” Qin Bao tugged at his mouth, “I guess that counts as happiness?”
He knew that some people in the world couldn’t even dream of these two things, like the refugees of Feilu. Compared to them, how could he say he wasn’t happy?
Ms. Rong smiled mysteriously, “I think so too. Chengyu not only supports your work but is also attentive to you. Seeing you two so in love makes me really happy.”
Qin Bao was puzzled.
In the afternoon, Qin Bao played chess with his grandfather. Throughout the game, his grandfather seemed distracted, and Qin Bao surprisingly won. Puzzled, he asked, “Grandpa, were you letting me win?”
Since their falling out, such harmonious moments between the grandfather and grandson were rare.
Although they both knew there was a thorn in each other’s hearts, no one mentioned it at this time.
His grandfather tried to lighten the mood and prove he was right, smiling, “Look at you two, so loving. Back then, you were adamantly against marriage, but now you’re glowing with happiness.”
Qin Bao: “?”
His grandfather hinted, “Bao’er, even though you’re married, you’re still young. It’s best to wait a few years before thinking about having children.”
He had pushed hard for the marriage, but now he spoke earnestly and even raised his hand to rub his nose.
“Young people are full of passion, we understand. But when the mating season comes, remember to take contraceptive measures—”
Qin Bao suddenly stood up, his face burning, “Grandpa!”
Oh my god.
Why didn’t any of these elders take suppressant shots!!!
