RBNR Ch36: Legal!

“What’s that?”

It seemed he didn’t hear clearly, so Feng Chengyu stopped what he was doing and walked over to the bed in just a few steps.

Qin Bao regretted asking the question, but it was too late to take it back. He didn’t like being wishy-washy, so he braced himself and pulled the blanket down, revealing his entire face.

His face was flushed deeply.

With a disdainful expression, Qin Bao asked again in a hard tone, “I was asking you, have you been feeling a bit off lately?”

This time, Feng Chengyu understood. He looked down at him and asked, “You want to do it?”

“Ugh.” Qin Bao denied it, “Obviously it’s you who wants to. Your pheromones are everywhere. How is anyone supposed to sleep?”

“Sorry,” Feng Chengyu said with quite some manners, “I indeed lost control.”

Qin Bao, having gained the moral high ground, reproached him, “So you should sleep on the couch.”

Unexpectedly, Feng Chengyu was not only well-mannered but also honest, “But I didn’t do it on purpose. Have you ever thought that I can’t control my pheromones because you’re affecting me too?”

Qin Bao was speechless: “…”

In middle school biology class, it was taught that if an AO pair with a high enough compatibility stayed alone together for a long time, they would uncontrollably release pheromones due to their physiological structure, mutually affecting each other.

If he was affected by Feng Chengyu’s pheromones, naturally, Feng Chengyu was also affected by his.

This creates a cycle.

The facts were there, and Qin Bao had no argument against them.

But this man didn’t wear his clothes properly, exposing his chest and showing off his abs. Qin Bao simply didn’t believe he wasn’t being manipulative.

To prove that Feng Chengyu wanted it more, he decided to go all out. He sat up, pulled off the blanket, and crawled over on his knees, reaching straight for the man’s private area.

Feng Chengyu didn’t expect this move and immediately frowned, his expression changing.

He grabbed Qin Bao’s hand, “What are you doing?”

Qin Bao touched it, proving his point.

Startled, he hurriedly withdrew his hand, “And you say you don’t want it? If you don’t need this thing, you could donate it to someone who does.”

Feng Chengyu’s expression darkened, and he looked at him with a deep gaze, “When did I ever say I didn’t want it?”

Qin Bao was stunned and speechless again.

Indeed, Feng Chengyu had never said that.

This embarrassed him greatly, and he immediately wanted to lie back down and cover himself with the blanket to hide his shame.

Unfortunately, with Feng Chengyu being tall and long-legged, it was too easy for him to grab hold of him. Before he could touch the pillow, he felt a pain in his ankle as Feng Chengyu dragged him back like a mop.

Qin Bao became alarmed, “Let go, let me go!”

No matter how he shouted and struggled, Feng Chengyu ignored him.

The Alpha seemed to summon strength from somewhere, subduing him in a few moves, speaking in a cold tone as if interrogating a criminal, “Donate it to someone who can use it? Who would that be? You?”

With half his face buried in the blanket, Qin Bao’s cheek was squished into a puff of soft flesh, like a criminal, he tightly shut his eyes and denied, “I don’t want it. Give it to whoever you want!”

“I prefer to donate it to you,” Feng Chengyu said again, “But what’s in it for me?”

The fingers around his ankle tightened, dragging him closer.

Qin Bao unintentionally let out a vague sound, then immediately clenched his teeth.

Damn rascal.

Feng Chengyu said, “After all, I don’t know if after a night, you’ll just tell me we’re both adults and it was just for fun.”

Qin Bao: “…”

He didn’t think he was in the wrong last time, but he hadn’t expected Feng Chengyu to hold such a grudge.

Seeing him remain silent, Feng Chengyu leaned in, getting closer, “Say something.”

The warm breath flowed into his ear.

Qin Bao’s eyelashes trembled, and he squeezed out a few words from his lips, “The situation is different now.” After thinking for a moment, he threw Feng Chengyu’s words back at him, “It’s legal now!”

Silence for a second or two.

Qin Bao was about to lose it, “Feng Chengyu, didn’t you say that? It’s legal! Do it if you want to, if not, forget it!”

Feng Chengyu remained calm: “Hmm, so you want to do it.”

Qin Bao had reached the limit of his endurance and couldn’t say another word: “…”

The restraint on him loosened, and Feng Chengyu lifted his waist with an arm, forcing him to open his eyes.

Feng Chengyu hugged him from behind, seemingly smiling: “Baobao, turn over.”

Qin Bao suddenly got angry and just wanted to roll back into the blanket. But Feng Chengyu repeated his trick, dragging him back and unceremoniously flipping him over.

The two of them faced each other in the light of the bedside lamp.

Qin Bao glared at him angrily for two seconds, then reached out and hooked his neck, biting down directly.

The Alpha let him bite, pressing down heavily, completely enveloping him.

That night, a storm came.

The storm mixed with a sweet scent, striking the damp ground, completely drenching the proud and fragrant daffodils.

In the midst of the bewildering gale, Qin Bao lost consciousness at one point.

Some parts of the scene were blurry, probably the part where he cried and cursed.

The entire night, he was entangled in that coldness, falling down, with dreams filled with dazzling light and shadows, beautiful yet absurd.

*

Morning sunlight streamed in again.

The curtain was half-hanging, the bedside lamp was toppled over, pillows and Feng Chengyu’s shirt were thrown on the floor, and the box under the bed was empty, its contents scattered everywhere.

Qin Bao half-opened his eyes and carefully discerned for a while, confirming this was their bedroom, not a post-battle wreckage site.

He felt like dying.

His whole body ached as if it were falling apart, his nape hurt to the point of numbness, and he hadn’t slept much last night.

Spending the entire night, Qin Bao belatedly realized a reality—no matter how proud and ascetic he appeared on the surface, the rumored S-class Alpha was indeed a pervert in certain aspects.

Why provoke Feng Chengyu?

Almost got himself killed.

“Awake?”

Feng Chengyu walked out of the walk-in closet, looking like he just woke up, wearing a new shirt, his chest and abdomen showing the battle scars.

Qin Bao glanced at him and blushed immediately, turning over to face away from him: “… What time is it?”

Opening his mouth, his throat hurt terribly.

Maybe he cursed too much because a certain bastard didn’t know when to stop or what restraint meant.

The instigator brought a glass of water, speaking gently: “Just seven o’clock. If you’re tired, sleep for another half hour. I’ll call you later.”

“No need.”

Qin Bao wanted to drink water, forcing himself to sit up and grab the cup, drinking it all in one gulp.

Feng Chengyu was buttoning his cufflinks: “Want me to help you call in sick?”

In the morning light, the Alpha looked full of energy and refreshed.

Qin Bao, with a blank face: “It’s not that bad, not enough to need a sick day.”

After saying this, he got up to find clothes to wear, but his legs were weak, and he needed Feng Chengyu to support him.

Qin Bao was only wearing a T-shirt, which Feng Chengyu had put on him in the latter half of the night. It wasn’t his size, so it looked a bit big on him, and with his long, straight legs, he could shoot a sexy, lazy-style advertisement if a photographer were present.

Gritting his teeth, he managed to walk into the oversized walk-in closet by himself.

Just one look: “…”

The area near the door was also a mess.

He vaguely remembered that once, after finishing, he took a shower and wanted to get dressed here, but then again… every place he looked at unlocked a new memory.

Everywhere was too unbearable to look at!

Warmth leaned against his back; it was Feng Chengyu encircling his waist with an arm. The scent of the temporary mark pheromones wafted up, indescribably sweet.

Qin Bao felt something wet touch the side of his neck.

Feng Chengyu kissed him, speaking in his pleasant voice near his ear: “Don’t worry about it, I’ll come back early tonight to tidy up.”

Morning time was the tightest; one had to go to work, and the other had to go to school, both in a hurry to leave.

A numbness ran through Qin Bao’s scalp: “Of course, whoever made the mess cleans it up.”

Don’t think he’d clean it.

Feng Chengyu didn’t let go, kissing affectionately, pecking little by little.

The place where he kissed grew more and more numb; Qin Bao, feeling ticklish, dodged while turning around, initially wanting to say something, but his gaze fell on Feng Chengyu’s lips.

He originally wanted to scold him.

But a few seconds later, it was unclear who initiated it first; their lips stuck to each other’s familiarly.

Feng Chengyu’s lips were very soft, with a fragrant scent.

Qin Bao’s heartbeat became erratic; he couldn’t help but take a deep breath, holding onto Feng Chengyu’s arm for support as he felt unsteady.

Amid the entwining of lips and tongues, he heard Feng Chengyu let out a low sigh, and then his body became light, and he was lifted onto the jewelry cabinet by Feng Chengyu.

With a series of loud clangs, the accessories awaiting use on the cabinet were swept to the ground, adding more evidence to the chaotic scene.

It was never enough.

Switching positions, Feng Chengyu held Qin Bao’s waist with one hand, while the other big hand clasped his leg, forcefully spreading them apart. They embraced intimately, sticking together seamlessly.

This somewhat aggressive way of kissing turned Qin Bao’s mind to mush. Because of his high position, he had an illusion of controlling the situation, kissing back, his hands involuntarily encircling Feng Chengyu’s neck, going for his buttons.

The end result was missing breakfast and making the secretary downstairs wait impatiently.

Lin Zi dialed Feng Chengyu’s phone: “Mr. Feng?”

“I’ll be down soon.” Feng Chengyu hung up the phone.

The newly worn shirt was wrinkled again, so he had to change into another one, black, unlike his usual style. His black hair was messy from Qin Bao’s grabbing. He was buttoning up while looking for a tie.

Noticing something, Feng Chengyu stopped, curving his lips: “What are you laughing at?”

Qin Bao immediately stopped smiling, pulling out a tie from a drawer: “This one matches better.”

For some reason, he put the tie around Feng Chengyu’s neck, and when he pulled the man closer, he realized this action felt overly intimate.

Even Feng Chengyu looked a bit surprised.

The Alpha, like a large feline being stroked, obediently lowered his head slightly.

At this point, Qin Bao couldn’t possibly stop suddenly.

He bit his lip, helping Feng Chengyu lift the collar of his shirt. Since he was still sitting on the cabinet, it wasn’t difficult to help with the tie from this height.

Qin Bao’s expression was very serious.

Neither of them spoke for those dozen seconds.

Once the tie was done, Qin Bao’s heart was beating even faster than before because he knew that Feng Chengyu had been watching his face the entire time.

With the tie finished, Feng Chengyu’s phone rang again.

Qin Bao gave the tie a final smooth: “Alright. Go quickly, I’m almost late for class.”

“Mm.” Feng Chengyu kissed him on the cheek, “Continue tonight?”

This guy was still hung up on last night’s “Can you do it or not?”

Qin Bao turned his flushed face away: “…… No more!”

Again?

Is he crazy?!!

Finally, the man left.

Qin Bao let out a long breath, lowered his head in frustration, and wiped his lips with the back of his hand. They were a bit sore.

Swollen.

Damn it, spending a whole night with his contract marriage partner was one thing, but kissing passionately in the walk-in closet the next morning was a bit much.

Skipping class was out of the question, especially under these circumstances. Even if his waist was broken, Qin Bao had to go to class.

With Feng Chengyu gone, he went downstairs, managed to eat a little something, got into Uncle Sheng’s car, and then collapsed in the back seat, not wanting to move. Uncle Sheng thought he was just sleepy and drove very steadily.

Qin Bao scrolled through his phone and found his name trending on Flow.

#Lü Rui’s Night Out with Qin Bao and An Qingyan

#Is Qin Bao Crossing Over to a New Field?#

Clicking in, he saw that the photos “secretly taken” by the paparazzi last night had already been exposed.

The photos captured everything from their dinner in the private room to getting into cars one after another, all documented by the camera.

Qin Bao had never used such methods before, still holding onto the idea that he should rely on himself for everything. Even though An Qingyan told him it was normal, he still felt it was somewhat disgraceful.

But the signal had already been sent out, and he still hoped it would have some effect. On one hand, to test his grandfather’s attitude, and on the other, to gauge his own value.

A news notification popped up on his phone.

Qin Bao clicked on it and saw that Feng Chengyu was attending a hearing that day about Feilu’s environmental protection.

Feilu, a very distant place, even for someone from a family background like Qin Bao’s, and even more so for the general public.

But for the Feng family, it wasn’t unfamiliar.

Since the establishment of the alliance, the Feng family had produced three marshals, the second being Feng Chengyu’s grandfather, and before that, the founding hero whose statue still stands and has a memorial hall today.

The war back then was brutal, and it was only thanks to the invincible combat mechas that the alliance won. Dysprosium was the main driving element for the mechas, only found in a few remote small countries, with Feilu being one of them. The war era had passed, and Feilu had long been incorporated into the alliance, with population migration, but the alliance had never stopped its extraction of dysprosium. Today, the alliance still had thirteen mechas, occasionally conducting drills. The alliance needed dysprosium and wouldn’t care about the destruction of Feilu, leading to worsening environmental conditions.

Curious about the specifics, Qin Bao read some related discussions. There were various opinions online, but because Feilu didn’t have a strong presence, the alliance’s citizens didn’t pay much attention to the issue.

But as for Feng Chengyu, he shouldn’t be late, right?

This guy… still dared to fool around in the morning despite having work.

Qin Bao grumbled internally.

Truly, he was balancing work and play perfectly.

Author’s Note:

These two can’t play pure love.

PS: Because of the protagonist’s special background, to better create an alternate world and avoid associations with reality, I added some very far-fetched settings, which even the author finds far-fetched (enough.
