ISWTDB Ch62
Chapter 62: The Primal Beastman World (4, 5)
Ying Zhao was still somewhat puzzled because the members of the Winged tribe were all gregarious. If there was a cave here, logically, there should be many other Winged tribespeople’s abodes nearby.
But obviously, Yan was living alone now. So he moved closer to Yan, curiously asking, “Where are your people? Why are you the only one here?”
However, this time Yan lowered his eyes and did not answer Ying Zhao’s question. Seeing Yan ignoring him, Ying Zhao thought that maybe his own man had some unspoken troubles, so he considerately stopped asking. Instead, he went to the cave entrance and looked at the scenery outside.
Although meeting his own man in this world had already achieved his most important goal, he still felt it necessary to return to the Tianma tribe village.
After all, the original host’s wish was to protect the people of the Tianma tribe village and not let them become slaves of the Yi tribe. Although he felt that the original host had already done so much for the beastmen of the Tianma tribe village, they were still bewitched in the end and burned the original host alive. Ying Zhao felt it was not worth it for the original host.
But it was the original host’s wish, and besides, there were the original host’s close relatives and friends in the Tianma tribe village who did not give up on the original host until the last moment. As for the culprits who caused the original host’s tragic end, the high priest and Bai Lan, Ying Zhao did not intend to let them go.
So Ying Zhao turned around and said to Yan, who was still handling food, “Yan, I really appreciate you saving me, but I still need to return to my tribe. Can you take me back?”
Who knew that upon hearing Ying Zhao’s words, Yan frowned and put down the knife in his hand. After wiping his hands with a piece of animal hide, he stood up, walked over to Ying Zhao, and looked down at him, saying, “You can’t leave.”
Ying Zhao was momentarily stunned by Yan’s words and asked in confusion, “Why can’t I leave? If you just take me out, we can leave!”
But as soon as he finished speaking, Yan’s entire body tensed up instantly. He looked extremely fierce and took steps towards Ying Zhao.
This was the first time Ying Zhao had seen his lover so aggressive in this world. He couldn’t help but take steps back until he was trapped against the stone wall by Yan’s hands.
Yan lowered his head and said to Ying Zhao word by word, “I saved you. You belong to me now!”
Ying Zhao blinked, somewhat not understanding what Yan meant. He swallowed and asked, “What do you mean I belong to you?”
As soon as Ying Zhao asked this, his waist was tightly hugged by Yan, and then a scorching kiss fell on him.
Yan was indeed a beastman of the Winged tribe, but when he was born, his wings were deformed. So he couldn’t fly and was discriminated against by his people.
After reaching adulthood, Yan relied on his own strength to leave the cliff where his people lived and found a place to create a cave, living a solitary life.
Usually, he hunted alone and roamed the forest. Until that day, he saw Ying Zhao struggling and calling for help in the water.
With just one glance, Yan felt his heart race. The intense flutter in his heart made him rush to the riverbank and immediately rescue Ying Zhao.
Looking at the unconscious beastman in his arms, Yan without hesitation brought him back to his cave. Although from Ying Zhao’s hair color and pointed ears, Yan could tell this was a male beastman, not a female.
But for some reason, the moment he saw him, he decided this beastman would be his mate. He didn’t care if the other was male or female; since he saved him and found him in the forest, Yan decided this person belonged to him.
The beastman in his arms was a gift from the beast god, so he must keep him and let him accompany him forever.
Among beastmen, strength was always revered, and this deeply rooted belief existed in Yan’s mind as well. So when Ying Zhao said he wanted to leave and return to his tribe, Yan decided to make Ying Zhao understand exactly what situation he was in.
Driven by instinct, he hugged Ying Zhao tighter, wanting to possess him. Especially when Yan kissed Ying Zhao, he felt his soul tremble.
Sure enough, the person in his arms tasted as wonderful as he imagined. Yan couldn’t help but sigh in his heart, his breathing becoming heavier. He tore off the animal hide clothing Ying Zhao was wearing, intending to do what every male beastman wanted to do with his beloved.
The beastmen of the Tianma tribe were relatively small in human form compared to other tribes, and their physical strength was also somewhat limited. So Ying Zhao struggled to break free from Yan’s grasp, feeling a bit dazed.
After all, he had just said he wanted to leave and return to his tribe, but he didn’t expect things to escalate to this point.
Although he liked his lover to be a bit wild and even found him very sexy and charming when he was strong, this was a brand new world.
They hadn’t gotten to know each other yet. If it weren’t for the golden finger system, all he knew was the other person’s name. Ying Zhao didn’t understand why his lover suddenly acted this way. Could it be that in this primitive era, his lover’s behavior had also become barbaric?
Ying Zhao didn’t mind doing such things with his lover but definitely didn’t want it to happen under these circumstances. The thought of the other person not even confessing his love and forcing himself made Ying Zhao a bit unhappy.
He narrowed his eyes slightly, looking at the man who was messing with him and wanted to swallow him whole. He swung his hand, using a bit of his primordial power, and slapped the man on the face.
In the next moment, the man who had been enjoying the fragrance in his arms was slapped to the edge of the cave. Yan rolled on the ground a few times before getting up.
He looked at Ying Zhao in shock, completely not expecting that the seemingly weak and beautiful little guy in his arms would have such strength.
Then he saw the little guy stand up and give him a dangerous smile. Yan couldn’t help but shiver, feeling that something bad was about to happen.
Sure enough, soon the little guy walked over to him with frost in his eyes and then swung his fist at him. The cave was instantly filled with the sounds of muffled grunts and Ying Zhao’s heavy breathing as he sweated while beating him up.
When it was all over, Ying Zhao sat cross-legged, openly sitting opposite Yan. He propped his chin up with one hand, wiped the sweat from his forehead with the other, and adjusted his tattered animal hide clothing. He looked up and glared fiercely at Yan.
Yan was curled up against the stone wall of the cave, still expressionless. However, his handsome face had been beaten black and blue. This pig-headed look naturally didn’t seem heroic at all and was rather comical.
Ying Zhao couldn’t bear to really hurt his own man, but he still needed to teach him a lesson. So, the injuries on Yan’s face were just superficial. With the beastmen’s terrifying healing ability, they would fully recover in a day or two.
He just wanted to make the other person remember well and tell him not to try to use force on him. The two of them stared at each other for a while before Ying Zhao finally spoke, “I want to return to the Tianma tribe’s beastman village.”
Unexpectedly, as soon as he finished speaking, the usually silent man’s eyes suddenly became fierce, and he shouted at him, “I forbid it! You are mine!”
Hearing Yan’s words, Ying Zhao narrowed his eyes, waved his fist at him, and said, “Are you sure? You can’t beat me.”
Upon hearing Ying Zhao’s words, Yan’s momentum instantly dropped by half. He pursed his lips, leaned against the stone wall, and lowered his eyes. After a long time, he murmured softly, “I saved you. You are mine. You are mine.”
For some reason, even though the man’s tone was flat and without much fluctuation, Ying Zhao could clearly feel that his lover seemed very wronged.
So, Ying Zhao walked over, softened his tone a bit, and asked Yan, “Why do you say I am yours? Just because you saved me? And do you know that what you just did to me is something only mates can do?”
Yan turned his head upon hearing Ying Zhao’s words, his eyes shining as he looked at him, nodding and saying, “You are my mate!”
Seeing Yan’s expression, Ying Zhao gave a helpless smile. “But I am male.”
Yan immediately replied, “I know! But I still want you to be my mate!”
For some reason, hearing the man’s firm words made Ying Zhao feel warm inside. He moved closer and softly asked, “Why? Do you like me?”
Yan nodded without hesitation, and the smile in Ying Zhao’s eyes grew. He reached out, grabbed the man’s chin, made him face him, and smiled, “But you haven’t courted me yet?”
Hearing Ying Zhao say this, Yan suddenly realized. Yes! When males in the tribe courted their mates, they would bring the most beautiful flowers on this continent, hunt the freshest prey, and some would even prepare necklaces made of shark pearls or beast teeth for their mates.
Although he had also worked hard to hunt delicious food for the person in front of him, he hadn’t picked flowers or given any gifts like necklaces. How could this be considered courting? No wonder the other person was angry.
Thinking of this, Yan’s face showed a look of annoyance, and he immediately stood up. But as soon as he stood up, he pulled on the injuries Ying Zhao had just inflicted, causing him to “hiss” in pain, but he still limped towards the cave entrance.
Seeing this, Ying Zhao immediately grabbed Yan’s arm and asked, “Where are you going?”
Yan turned his head and looked at Ying Zhao, saying firmly, “I’m going to pick flowers for you right now. I will hunt the fiercest beast on this continent and make a necklace from its teeth for you!”
Ying Zhao realized that what Yan mentioned were essential items for courting in the Winged tribe. Seeing his lover’s serious expression, the anger in Ying Zhao’s heart had mostly subsided.
He knew that the reason his lover had behaved so wildly just now was indeed influenced by the habits of this world. However, Yan had not skimped on his careful care of him.
Moreover, he said he would hunt the fiercest prey on this continent to make a necklace for him, which showed how much he cherished and valued him.
So, Ying Zhao directly held Yan’s hand and softly said, “But I am male. How do you know I would like things that females like?”
Hearing Ying Zhao’s words, Yan seemed a bit dumbfounded. He thought for a long time before asking Ying Zhao somewhat awkwardly, “Then, what do you like?”
Ying Zhao moved closer, looking at Yan’s silly appearance, finding his man even more adorable, and chuckled softly, “I don’t have any particular likes. I was very angry just now. But now, I have a bit of liking for you.”
Hearing Ying Zhao’s words, Yan’s face instantly turned red, and he felt a surge of excitement in his heart. If the other person said he liked him, did that mean he accepted his courtship?
Thinking of this, Yan’s gaze became passionate, and his eyes lingered on Ying Zhao’s body, which was exposed due to the torn clothes.
Ying Zhao raised his eyebrows, clearly sensing what his man was thinking. So, he raised his fist and without hesitation, knocked it on Yan’s head, saying, “Can you think of something else? I am just giving you a chance now! Look, you can’t beat me, so you have to listen to me. I am giving you a chance to stay with me, a chance to make me like you more, like you enough to want to be with you forever. Do you want this chance?”
Hearing that Ying Zhao was willing to give him a chance and realizing he indeed couldn’t beat him, Yan, who was worried about how to make Ying Zhao agree, immediately brightened up and nodded vigorously.
Ying Zhao saw Yan’s expression and thought that his man was simply adorably naive. So, he leaned over, wrapped his arms around Yan’s neck, kissed his lips, and laughed softly:
“Seeing how obedient you are, this is your reward.”
Ying Zhao quickly pulled away after the kiss, so Yan didn’t react in time. When he did realize and wanted to grab Ying Zhao to deepen the kiss, the other had already moved away.
Yan stared at Ying Zhao’s lips with some regret, clearly showing that he wanted more rewards. Ying Zhao couldn’t help but laugh inwardly and said to him, “If you behave well in the future, there will often be such rewards.”
Hearing Ying Zhao’s words, Yan swallowed, and the heat in his eyes intensified. Ying Zhao gave him a bright smile and said:
“Then now take me back to the Tianma tribe’s village.”
Seeing that Yan wanted to argue, Ying Zhao quickly continued, “You also come back with me. Since you want to be with me, you have to live in the village with me. You need to adapt to the Tianma tribe’s village. If you behave well, we will be together forever.”
Saying this, Ying Zhao gently rubbed Yan’s lips with his finger, pressing lightly with his thumb, and continued to entice:
“If you take me back, there might be daily rewards like the one just now!”
Yan’s breath hitched at Ying Zhao’s words. In fact, the Winged tribe was also a social group. Although Yan had lived alone here for many years, he did feel a bit lonely.
If there was really a place willing to accept him, and it was with Ying Zhao, whom he liked so much, he was willing.
So Yan quickly agreed and began to pack the cave. There were actually very few things in the cave, so Yan simply packed a few items in an animal hide bag and, after bringing the prey he had hunted today, tied the bag around his waist.
Then, he let Ying Zhao lie on his back, skillfully grabbed the vines at the cave entrance, and began to jump down quickly.
Ying Zhao lay on his lover’s back, watching him nimbly grab the vines and leap between the cliffs, feeling that his lover was truly amazing.
Taking Yan back to the Tianma tribe’s village was actually under some pressure. After all, the Winged tribe people were belligerent and were seen by all tribes as difficult to deal with.
So getting the Tianma tribe villagers to accept Yan was indeed a problem, but Ying Zhao was confident in himself.
As for letting Yan leave his original dwelling, Ying Zhao didn’t think much of it. Because in his interactions with Yan, Ying Zhao had already discovered Yan’s hidden backstory.
It turned out Yan was not just a member of the Winged tribe; he was the son of the old chieftain and the younger brother of the current chieftain, Lin. However, he was born with deformed wings in his beast form and couldn’t fly.
Like the Tianma tribe, where beastmen with deformed or incomplete beast forms were considered inauspicious, the Winged tribe people were much more aggressive.
So even though Yan was the chieftain’s son, he was still met with indifference and scorn throughout the tribe. Even his brother, the current chieftain Lin, looked down on him.
Despite Yan growing up and being able to hunt prey as well as, or even better than, ordinary Winged tribe beastmen, this didn’t change his fate of being discriminated against and ostracized.
Yan had enough of such a life and moved out of the Winged tribe’s territory to live alone.
His brother Lin had always seen Yan as a disgrace to their family, and seeing Yan leave, Lin was actually very happy. He even announced that Yan no longer belonged to the Winged tribe, classifying him as a wandering beastman.
Although Ying Zhao was angry about the unfair treatment Yan received, he knew that in such a superstitious primitive society, some things couldn’t be reasoned with. Fortunately, his lover had grown up well on his own.
Because Ying Zhao needed to fulfill the original owner’s wish in this small world, he had to return to the Tianma tribe’s village to protect its people.
Of course, he wanted to live with Yan. But before returning to the village, Ying Zhao decided to first check on the cave where he had previously settled Bai Lan and see how he was doing.
Ying Zhao didn’t really intend to treat Bai Lan, but considering it had been two days since he was saved by Yan, he was curious about Bai Lan’s current situation.
After all, with the destiny granted by the Heavenly Dao, the protagonist always had a good fate and wouldn’t die easily because of a sudden event.
So he directed Yan to take him there. Yan naturally followed Ying Zhao’s instructions. Since he had already agreed to take him to the Tianma tribe’s village, going to another cave was no big deal for Yan.
But upon approaching the cave, Ying Zhao noticed some feathers that only appeared on Winged tribe people. Yan saw these traces too, frowned, and tensed up.
They both became more cautious, hiding their presence and slowly approaching the cave entrance. When they reached the cave, they found that Bai Lan was long gone.
The cave was empty, and it seemed Bai Lan had left some time ago. Thinking that Bai Lan looked like a female in appearance, and considering how rare females were on this beastman continent, no male beastman would ignore him.
So, it was likely Bai Lan was taken away by a Winged tribe male. But this had nothing to do with Ying Zhao. Without Bai Lan as a big trouble, Ying Zhao felt much more at ease. In a good mood, he clapped his hands and set off with Yan towards the Tianma tribe’s village.
Yan didn’t know what Ying Zhao was looking for here. But since what his sweetheart was looking for wasn’t here, he followed Ying Zhao’s lead and brought him to the entrance of the Tianma tribe’s village.
Upon reaching the village entrance, Yan put Ying Zhao down from his back. He then stood silently beside Ying Zhao.
Although he still had a stoic expression, Ying Zhao keenly sensed that his man seemed nervous. Thinking about the many years Yan had spent living in isolation, Ying Zhao understood why he felt this way.
He patted Yan’s arm gently, offering a comforting smile, and led Yan into the village.
As soon as they entered the village entrance, they saw Yong, a warrior from the Tianma tribe, standing guard. Yong was very familiar with the original Ying. Upon seeing Ying Zhao, he warmly greeted him and loudly said:
“Ying! Where have you been lately? Do you know how worried your father has been, asking around the village for news of you? The village even sent people to look for you, and they haven’t returned yet!”
Saying this, Yong reached out as if to give Ying Zhao a playful punch on the shoulder, but Yan suddenly stepped in front of him, blocking his hand.
Yong was visibly taken aback by the tall figure of Yan standing before him. He looked at this unfamiliar beastman in bewilderment and then turned to Ying Zhao, asking, “Ying, who is this?”
Ying Zhao smiled at the guard Yong and introduced, “This is my friend Yan. I accidentally fell into the river while fetching water outside the village. He saved me, and I saw that he was living alone, so I invited him to come back with me.”
The people of the Tianma tribe were kind-hearted. Hearing Ying Zhao’s explanation, Yong nodded and easily stepped aside to let Yan in.
After all, Yan had saved a member of their village, so in the minds of the Tianma tribe villagers, Yan was a good person.
Ying Zhao appreciated the simplicity and kindness of the villagers. However, he also knew that such pure-hearted villagers could be easily swayed, so he had to stay vigilant about certain things.
Recalling the original owner’s memories, Ying Zhao knew that the original Ying’s beastman father had passed away early, leaving him and his female father to live together.
