X: “Baby, are you up?”

X: “Remember to eat breakfast. If you’re short on time, take it to class with you.”

X: “You’re not allowed to skip it.”

Xie Yuanxing drifted to the classroom like a ghost. Winter had arrived, the weather was very cold, and everyone in the classroom seemed lethargic. He blended in, his dazedness not standing out.

His phone vibrated twice. It was X.

X: “Baby? Still not up? You should be in class by now.”

X: “Too rushed to check your phone?”

Xie Yuanxing nodded, but didn’t reply.

His phone buzzed again.

X: “Or is baby deliberately pretending not to see it?”

How could he be so perceptive…?

Xie Yuanxing felt both guilty and a little annoyed. To prevent being found out, he quickly replied before the class bell rang, “No, I didn’t.”

“I woke up late this morning and ran to class.”

“Didn’t have time to check messages.”

X: “Liar.”

X: “Baby, are you regretting it?”

When Xie Yuanxing saw this message, he paused for about thirty seconds.

X said slowly, “You really are regretting it.”

The accusatory words left Xie Yuanxing at a loss for how to reply, and X’s messages followed one after another.

X: “Baby, you can’t regret it.”

X: “Didn’t we agree to meet?”

X: “I miss you so much, baby, I want to hold you so much.”

X: “Let me hold you, baby, I’m going crazy thinking about it.”

Xie Yuanxing hesitated. Agreeing to meet yesterday was a decision made on impulse. Now that he had calmed down, feelings of regret kept surging.

His expectations for X had always been small, so small that they were limited to online interaction only.

If they met, X might disappear.

No lights, darkness—none of it was secure enough. There were too many variables. Only by preventing all possibilities, by staying online, could no accidents happen.

Xie Yuanxing stared at the chat interface with X, reaching out and tapping X’s profile picture. The avatar twitched twice, and a line of text appeared in the chat box below: “You poked X.”

!

!!

Xie Yuanxing’s eyes widened instantly. He frantically tried to undo it, but there was nothing he could do.

X: “Baby?”

X: “Don’t torture me, baby. I know you’re watching.”

Xie Yuanxing was embarrassed and flustered, and vaguely annoyed at WeChat’s peculiar function.

He did regret it. Even if X exposed him, he buried his head in the sand, didn’t reply, pretended nothing had happened, and even put his phone on silent under the desk.

Class was about to start.

Good students don’t play with their phones during class.

Shen Bianye, who had taken two days off from the counselor to be busy outside, looked at his phone, which had received no messages for a long time, and scoffed with a hint of displeasure.

Just then, Lu Qiang called him. Shen Bianye reached out and answered, “How is it?”

Lu Qiang: “It’s all sorted. Xie Yuanxing’s mother died in a car accident, and all the compensation at the time went to his aunt and uncle’s family.”

“Xie Yuanxing’s family originally had a house, and his mother had a small company that ran into some financial trouble. After his mother’s accident, the house was foreclosed.”

Hearing about the house, Shen Bianye’s eyes flickered, and he asked, “How much is that house worth now?”

Lu Qiang: “Let me see. It wasn’t expensive before, but it was zoned into a school district a few years ago. That area, probably twenty million or so.”

Was that the home Xie Yuanxing wanted to buy back?

Twenty million. No wonder he gave Xie Yuanxing money, and Xie Yuanxing still lived so frugally.

Shen Bianye pondered for a moment, then said, “Send me what you’ve found. I’m preparing to file a lawsuit here.”

Lu Qiang responded, “Alright, but for something like this, can’t you just give it to any lawyer?”

“And, why haven’t I seen the legendary Xie Yuanxing from start to finish? Isn’t he doing anything?”

Shen Bianye: “I don’t want him involved in these messy affairs. Don’t worry about it.”

Lu Qiang: …..?

He incredulously pulled his phone slightly away from his ear and glanced at it, a little suspicious that he might have misheard.

What did he mean, he didn’t want him involved?

Wasn’t this Xie Yuanxing’s own business?!

Because Shen Bianye was pressing urgently, and Lu Qiang had strong connections at the police station, he still personally went to urge them, which was why he could receive those materials early in the morning.

Now, what did Shen Bianye say? He didn’t want Xie Yuanxing involved?

Lu Qiang was numb. He raised his voice: “If Xie Yuanxing isn’t involved, then who is?”

“Me?!!”

Shen Bianye, not really paying attention, instructed the lawyer next to him to prepare the documents, while saying, “I’m only calling you because you’re useful. Zhou Chao wants to come, but there’s no way.”

Lu Qiang paused strangely, “Zhou Chao… forget it, I can’t argue with you. I’m going to sleep.”

Shen Bianye hung up the phone decisively. The lawyer, who had been waiting, said, “All the materials are ready. I’ll submit the lawsuit to the court today.”

Shen Bianye’s handsome face held a hint of cold severity. “Be quick. I won’t accept any financial compensation. I just want them in jail.”

At 2:40 PM, Wu Xiuli, who was routinely playing mahjong at the mahjong parlor, first received a text message from the court. She didn’t take it seriously, thinking it was junk mail, until the court officials showed up at her door.

“You’re saying Xie Yuanxing is suing us for abuse?!”

Wu Xiuli shoved the mahjong tiles on the table, standing up like a shrew. The mahjong clattered, but it couldn’t drown out her voice. “He’s crazy, isn’t he? Got too big for his britches?”

“I raised him for six years, and he goes to college and forgets who raised him?”

She spat fiercely, “Pah, ungrateful wretch.”

Some people in the mahjong parlor, who had long disliked Wu Xiuli’s usual demeanor, enjoyed the drama and said, “You usually beat and scold your nephew, isn’t it normal for him to sue you?”

“Bullshit,” Wu Xiuli cursed, then moved to hit the person, saying, “You raise a child without hitting them?”

A court official pulled her back, his expression serious. “I advise you to take this seriously.”

“If the plaintiff wins, you will face seven years in prison.”

Seven years?!

Wu Xiuli was struck as if by lightning. Her hand, ready to strike, froze. Her body went limp, leaning back against the mahjong table. Seven years? How could it be seven years? She had to go find Xie Yuanxing, to ask Xie Yuanxing, that ungrateful wretch, what exactly he wanted to do.

“These next two days, your aunt, uncle, and cousin might be desperate to contact you. Don’t answer any calls, blacklist anyone you need to, and don’t answer unknown numbers.”

“Everything is being handled by a professional lawyer.”

“Don’t worry, they’ll definitely get six or seven years.”

Shen Bianye returned to school. During a class break, he called Xie Yuanxing out of the classroom and told him everything, one by one.

Xie Yuanxing couldn’t describe how he felt. It was as if someone had lifted a stone from his heart, making him feel much lighter. Yet, because the final verdict hadn’t been reached, small pebbles still grated against his chest.

Things were much simpler than he had imagined.

He didn’t have to run around appealing, didn’t have to worry about finding a lawyer who could win his case, and didn’t have to endure the nausea of wrangling with his uncle and aunt’s family over and over again.

All of this was because of Shen Bianye, but he didn’t know how to repay him.

Shen Bianye looked at the person in front of him. The cold wind rustled the wisps of hair on Xie Yuanxing’s forehead. As Xie Yuanxing pondered, he took two steps to the side, blocking the wind blowing from the corridor.

He should buy Xie Yuanxing some winter clothes. Xie Yuanxing’s own were too thin.

Besides clothes, he should buy a few scarves and hats. The fluffy bear hats he saw Omegas and girls wearing at school would be very nice.

Xie Yuanxing’s face was small. With a hat, his lips would be red and his teeth white, looking as tender as a high school student.

He was lost in thought himself, yet he asked Xie Yuanxing, “Why aren’t you speaking?”

Xie Yuanxing clenched his fingers and whispered, “I don’t know how to thank you.”

Shen Bianye raised an eyebrow slightly, his expression quite arrogant: “You don’t need to think about how to thank me. I just made a few calls.”

“What’s a huge deal to you is nothing to me.”

“The gap between our two worlds is just that big, understand?”

He chuckled, “If you act on those inexplicable desires to repay me and do unnecessary things, like trying to be good to me, cooking for me, or sending me things, that would be annoying, understand?”

Xie Yuanxing glanced at him, stating the fact softly: “Don’t worry, I don’t have money to do those things.”

Shen Bianye: …..

He laughed in exasperation.

But as he silently fumed, Xie Yuanxing said seriously, “If, in the future, I can help you, no matter what it is, I will help you.”

Shen Bianye was afraid he would be so touched he’d fall in love, so he quickly poured cold water on the idea, “Forget it.”

“You’re poor and stingy, you wouldn’t even spend a yuan on someone else. What kind of help could you be? Save it.”

Xie Yuanxing wasn’t angry. He looked at Shen Bianye, his eyes resolute. “I studied, worked hard to get into this school, learned, and got certificates. Even if I can never reach your level, I’m not useless.”

“This is my promise, Shen Bianye. A promise must be kept in mind.”

“Whether you need it or not, I will remember.”

Shen Bianye was taken aback by his seriousness, and for some reason, suddenly felt a little uncomfortable.

Actually, even without meeting him, Xie Yuanxing could have resolved these issues himself after graduation.

Xie Yuanxing had kept the evidence. His degree from a prestigious university would allow him to quickly find a job and establish himself, after which he could gradually deal with these messy affairs.

His revenge would be long and drawn out, like a mushroom quietly scattering poisonous spores, just waiting to sprout and take effect.

Shen Bianye merely accelerated the process. If Xie Yuanxing wanted to repay him, Shen Bianye would still be the one benefiting.

Cough.

How could he think like that? What benefit was he gaining from Xie Yuanxing?

He didn’t want Xie Yuanxing to repay him anyway.

He was really intimidated by the little mushroom.

Shen Bianye coughed uncomfortably, changing the subject: “By the way, the court date is set for a month from now. Do you want to be there?”

Xie Yuanxing shook his head, refusing. “No, I don’t want to see them.”

“But, if the verdict comes down, I want to see Xie Zhuowu.”

Shen Bianye was startled, displeased. “Why see him?”

Xie Yuanxing’s lips curved, and he blinked at Shen Bianye, looking somewhat sly: “To kick him when he’s down.”

He was rarely so vivid, and Shen Bianye was just staring blankly at Xie Yuanxing.

Watching his fair and tender face, his delicate nose, his curled, thick eyelashes like butterflies about to take flight with each blink, and that tear mole shimmering below.

In an instant, his mouth watered.

Shen Bianye unconsciously swallowed, his gaze lingering on that small tear mole. As if bewitched, he slowly drew closer, his lips slightly parted, as if ready to extend his tongue at any moment.

Under his gaze, Xie Yuanxing felt extremely uncomfortable, wanting to flee and hide. Shen Bianye’s gaze was too scorching, and his subtle movements even made him think of… obsession.

He had no doubt that if he didn’t retreat, Shen Bianye would directly lick him.

So Xie Yuanxing took a step back and asked in an innocent, dazed tone, “What’s wrong? Are you spacing out?”

He was grateful for Shen Bianye’s help, disliked Shen Bianye’s condescension, and didn’t like Shen Bianye, so he had to retreat.

A sudden wave of disappointment surged in Shen Bianye’s heart. He stared reluctantly at the tear mole, and said hoarsely, “Nothing.”

“I have to go to class. I’m leaving.”

How in the world could he lick it?

…Could X lick it?

He paused, then turned to Xie Yuanxing and said, “By the way, don’t put your phone on silent during class breaks these next two days. I’ll have the lawyer add you in case there’s anything to confirm with you.”

Xie Yuanxing returned to the classroom, changing his phone from silent to vibrate. However, the buzzing wasn’t from a lawyer’s WeChat friend request.

X: “Baby, you haven’t talked to me all day.”

X: “But baby was the one who said they wanted to see me first.”

X: “Bad baby, how could you be like this?”

X: “You deliberately tempt me, then ignore me.”

X: “Don’t give me the silent treatment, okay? It makes me think I did something wrong.”

He was showing vulnerability, trying to appease, but he didn’t mention the most important thing: canceling the meeting.

Xie Yuanxing had indeed left him hanging for a day, and he felt a bit apologetic. After thinking for a moment, he replied, “I’m just a little worried.”

X: “What is baby worried about?”

X: “No need to worry, baby. I’ll wear the electric collar, and baby can have the electric switch as soon as you enter the door, okay?”

No, Xie Yuanxing wasn’t worried about those things.

He was worried that everything would change, worried that if they met, X wouldn’t be X anymore.

Xie Yuanxing remained silent, and after the class bell rang, he put his phone on silent again and put it aside.

The middle-aged male teacher stood up from his seat at the podium and began lecturing on the drowsy subject of Marxist philosophy. The large tiered classroom had many students sitting with their heads down, playing on their phones.

Xie Yuanxing’s gaze drifted to the window. Looking out, the distant grey-blue sky gradually darkened, and birds flapped their wings and rose. His heart suddenly felt lighter.

The most painful thing for him would be settled in a month, and his mood would become increasingly relaxed.

Meeting wasn’t a big deal. If X changed, he would just discard him.

Although thinking this way felt a bit morally questionable, X’s initial intention for adding him wasn’t pure either.

After the class bell rang, Xie Yuanxing, with flushed ears, sent a message back to X: “I’ve thought about it. It’s okay.”

X said the flight from S City to A City would arrive the next evening and sent Xie Yuanxing an address.

X: “Give your ID to the front desk. She’ll give you the room card, baby.”

X: “Baby, remember to bring the collar I gave you.”

Xie Yuanxing took the bus to get there. After getting off, he cycled for about ten minutes following the navigation. The buildings around the street were bustling, and the cars parked by the road looked expensive.

He looked around to find a place to park his bicycle, then squeezed the orange shared bike into a gap between a BMW and a Mercedes.

The hotel was a five-star hotel, one Xie Yuanxing had never set foot in. The lobby was covered with luxurious wool carpets, and the air had a faint, smoky fragrance.

Xie Yuanxing nervously tugged at his clothes, walked to the front desk, stated a room number, and handed over his ID. The pretty Omega lady at the front desk smiled gently, handed him the room card, and considerately pointed out the elevator’s location.

Xie Yuanxing walked in. Inside the elevator, there was a lift attendant in uniform who softly asked him, “Guest, what floor?”

He pursed his lips and shook his head, reaching out to press the elevator floor button himself. “Thank you.”

Ding—

The elevator stopped at the corresponding floor. The lift attendant held her hand against the elevator door frame. As Xie Yuanxing stepped out, his heart began to beat faster.

He was very nervous. From the moment he stepped into the hotel, he had been nervous. As he neared the room, his taut emotions almost reached his throat.

Xie Yuanxing slowly, almost hesitantly, walked to the room door corresponding to the room card, took out the room card, and tapped it.

With a beep, the door opened, and at that instant, all the power on the entire floor went out.

Suddenly losing light, Xie Yuanxing couldn’t see anything. The corridor was pitch black. He was abruptly pulled into the room and pressed against the wall.

His heart pounded wildly in his chest. A familiar, gentle voice whispered in his ear, “Baby, it’s me.”

X reached out and placed an even darker blindfold over Xie Yuanxing’s eyes. “Baby, I hurt my face doing an experiment. It’ll take some time to recover.”

“I don’t want to scare baby, so can I put another blindfold on baby, okay?”

“I chose it for a long time. It’s black, with lace edges. It suits baby very well.”

Xie Yuanxing’s heart immediately settled back down. He allowed X to put on the blindfold, then reached out to push the tall shadow pressing against him, complaining softly, “That was scary.”

In the darkness, someone grabbed his hand and placed a hard object in his palm.

X: “I was wrong, baby.”

X: “Here, the electric collar switch.”

X spoke with a joyful tone, “Want to try it first, baby?”

Xie Yuanxing: “What strange things are you saying? Trying it means shocking you, doesn’t it?”

X: “I’m fine, baby. I just want baby to see the effect.”

X: “I want baby to feel at ease, to feel good.”

Xie Yuanxing’s face flushed a burning red. He couldn’t help but hit X. “I’m not a pervert. How would shocking someone else make me feel good?”

X chuckled softly, his voice slightly husky, “Not anyone else. It’s shocking me. Only me, baby.”

Alphas had superior eyesight. Even though the room lights were off and the curtains were drawn, making it pitch black, he could still barely make out the person in front of him.

Even with his eyes wide open, he still looked very confused, a tiny figure with soft black hair.

It was too dark. He could only rely on imagination to picture Xie Yuanxing’s blushing face. Although he felt a little regretful not being able to see it, he was cute enough as he was now.

X reached out and embraced him, a hug so tight that Xie Yuanxing felt a painful squeeze, but X let out a contented sigh, “Finally, I’m holding baby.”

Xie Yuanxing was startled. He also relaxed and leaned into X’s hot, broad chest, rubbing his cheek against X’s shoulder, and whispered with a touch of envy, “You’re so tall.”

He didn’t know where he had heard it, but it was said that people could gain strength from hugs.

Xie Yuanxing didn’t know if this conclusion had undergone reliable research, but at this moment, he felt that this statement was true.

In the darkness, the two embraced, Xie Yuanxing almost entirely nestled in X’s warm and strong embrace.

X chuckled, then whispered, “About 1.9 meters, probably. Won’t embarrass baby.”

He reached out to caress and grasp Xie Yuanxing’s hand, guiding it under his clothes. “Baby, touch it. Your boyfriend’s abs.”

Xie Yuanxing’s face was flushed, and he tried to pull his hand away. “No, I’m not touching.”

X, however, pressed down on his hand, not letting him withdraw, his tone even a little resentful, “Baby, just touch it.”

“You’re not even tempted by me, bad baby. You’re going to tempt me to death.”

Xie Yuanxing’s hand was a bit cold. Beneath his palm were distinctly defined, firm, and taut abdominal muscles. He pressed against them, unable to pull his hand away, and dared not move. “What are you talking about? I didn’t tempt you.”

X: “Of course you did. Every photo baby sent was tempting me.”

In the darkness, the man held Xie Yuanxing, rubbing his face against his cheek, gently coaxing, “Can I kiss you, baby? Just one kiss.”

Xie Yuanxing shook his head, “No.”

X’s voice was low, “Heart of stone, but I still like baby so much.”

“How can baby be so pretty, and so soft when I hold you?”

“Baby has a tear mole on your face, right? I saw it in the photos.”

“Can I lick it, baby?”

“It’s so small, just one, so pitiful.”

Xie Yuanxing shook his head with a mix of amusement and helplessness, “What’s pitiful about that? It’s not pitiful.”

Besides delivering an electric shock, the electric collar also had the typical collar function of blocking pheromones. Xie Yuanxing could only hear X’s tone and thought there was still room for negotiation, completely unaware of how much the pheromones, suppressed by the collar, were boiling.

If it were unfastened, the strong scent of embers would surge and fill the entire room.

X’s tone grew urgent, also with a strange stickiness, “Poor baby, it’s pitiful.”

“It looks like it really wants to be licked.”

“If you don’t believe me, ask it, baby, ask it.”

How do you ask a tear mole?

Will it talk?

Xie Yuanxing pursed his lips, one hand resting on X’s shoulder, the other trying to pull away from his abs. His pushing motion, however, provoked a more forceful counterattack from the other party.

The next second, Xie Yuanxing was pressed deeper against the wall.

X used his body to pin Xie Yuanxing’s hands firmly, while one hand groped to Xie Yuanxing’s lips, his thumb pad kneading and pressing on the lip flesh.

In the darkness, his tone was anxious: “Baby, let me lick it.”

“I won’t kiss you, baby, can I just lick your tear mole?”

“I’ve been craving it for so long.”

“Please, baby, just once, just one lick.”

The hand kneading his lips covered Xie Yuanxing’s mouth. X’s gentle, low, yet strangely joyful voice came from beside his ear, “Baby, if you don’t say anything, I’ll take it as baby agreeing.”

Xie Yuanxing’s eyes snapped open wide, muffled sounds escaping from his covered mouth.

As he felt X’s breath approach his cheek, he suddenly pressed the electric switch in his hand.

Xie Yuanxing swore he heard the sound of current.

X groaned, but his movements didn’t pause for a second; instead, he eagerly lunged forward.

A damp, warm sensation came from beneath Xie Yuanxing’s eye. A burning tongue heavily licked the fair, smooth skin. A tingling sensation crawled up his spine, and he trembled uncontrollably.

So hot.

As if it would scald and melt the thin skin beneath his eye.

It was too dark. X himself couldn’t clearly see the tiny tear mole. He sucked at Xie Yuanxing’s smooth cheek and asked indistinctly, “Did I lick it? Did I lick baby’s tear mole? Did baby feel it?”

Before Xie Yuanxing could answer, X’s body suddenly gave out and collapsed.

Xie Yuanxing frantically reached out to catch him. The tall body fell onto him, head resting on his shoulder. It was then that Xie Yuanxing, amidst his wildly pounding heart, distinguished the sizzling sound of electricity.

He had forgotten to turn off the electric collar in his hand.

X was too heavy, and Xie Yuanxing couldn’t stand steadily either, so he had to carefully lower him to the ground by feel. He then squatted beside him, feeling somewhat at a loss.

What now?

Should he call an ambulance?

What was so good about kissing a tear mole anyway, that he would keep licking and sucking even while being electrocuted?

Amidst his panic and anger, Xie Yuanxing surprisingly felt a strange sense of admiration.
