GBROTAH CH30
The feeling of not having to personally clear his name from Fang Zhi’s backhanded accusations was quite satisfying for Shen Bianye. Even when his pheromones were unstable, he felt a little more at peace.
His hand rested on Xie Yuanxing’s back shoulder, his palm broad, almost covering half of Xie Yuanxing’s shoulder, with his thumb resting on the thin shoulder blade.
As he got closer, the body beneath his hand gradually tensed, and the shoulder blade trembled under Shen Bianye’s touch.
He felt as if he was holding the wing of a butterfly.
This thought inexplicably popped into Shen Bianye’s mind, and he couldn’t help but want to laugh. He thought Xie Yuanxing was most like a mushroom, but in Xie Yuanxing’s mother’s eyes, he was a peacock. Now, a butterfly was added to the list.
Could one person have so many facets?
At this rate, Xie Yuanxing alone could become a botanical and zoological garden. Then, to even glance at Xie Yuanxing, one would have to buy a ticket.
Given Xie Yuanxing’s money-loving nature, he’d probably go crazy with joy.
To prevent others from seeing him without paying, Xie Yuanxing might even wear a mask.
Damn it.
Shen Bianye suddenly relaxed his grip and leaned onto Xie Yuanxing’s shoulder, stifling a laugh. He laughed so hard that Xie Yuanxing’s body swayed along with him.
Xie Yuanxing was bewildered, speechless, and questioned, “Having an epileptic fit?”
Shen Bianye lay on Xie Yuanxing’s shoulder, his amusement evident. He spoke lazily, “Can’t you say anything nice about me?”
He was too close; his breath spilled onto Xie Yuanxing’s neck as he spoke, a faint, almost imperceptible warmth.
Xie Yuanxing felt ticklish and instinctively wanted to pull away. As he dodged, he asked, “Are you going to bite or not?”
Shen Bianye: “Why don’t you care what I’m laughing about?”
Xie Yuanxing raised his heavy shoulders, “I only care when you’re going to get off my shoulder.”
“Don’t move.” Shen Bianye pressed him down. When he turned his head, his lips brushed against Xie Yuanxing’s neck.
Xie Yuanxing was already used to it. Before biting, Shen Bianye habitually licked once, like eating ice cream.
Even if he protested, Shen Bianye would only brush it off and do the same next time.
Habit was truly a terrifying thing. It was only when Shen Bianye licked his nape that Xie Yuanxing realized the spot he had just brushed was the side of his neck, near his Adam’s apple.
It must have been unintentional.
Xie Yuanxing didn’t think much of it. A moist sensation spread across the skin of his nape, a warm, molten tongue licking it, sending shivers of sensation through him.
No matter how many times, he couldn’t control his body trembling at that moment.
Like prey held in a wolf’s mouth, trembling uneasily.
He quietly waited for the moment his skin would be pierced by sharp teeth, but Shen Bianye behind him delayed the bite.
Xie Yuanxing: “……”
He pursed his lips, with a hint of perplexity, “Do I have to ask you what you’re laughing about before you’ll give me a quick one?”
“Perhaps you’ve heard, kill swiftly, don’t torment?”
Shen Bianye was so amused by him that he chuckled, grinding his teeth: “Am I that petty?”
He didn’t give Xie Yuanxing a chance to answer, probably not wanting to hear what he considered severely damaging to his image. Without a pause, he directly said, “I don’t think this posture is good.”
Xie Yuanxing didn’t know what was wrong with the posture of two people standing one in front of the other, but he still good-naturedly asked, “Then what posture do you want to change to?”
What was the difference between this and a sea urchin evolving spines just to make it easier for humans to eat without needing a bowl?
Not only would it be eaten, but it also had to consider how to make itself easier to consume.
It’s truly good to be rich.
Xie Yuanxing sighed, then turned to see Shen Bianye standing there with a strange expression after releasing him.
Shen Bianye was looking at him, and also at the chair beside him.
Why couldn’t he sit on the chair, and Xie Yuanxing sit on his lap? No, that’s too intimate.
It wouldn’t be good if Xie Yuanxing misunderstood.
The first time he exposed his unstable rut to Xie Yuanxing, he could still press the person onto the table, playfully patting Xie Yuanxing’s backside.
Now, after countless times, he had become much more reserved.
The excessive injections of inhibitors made his emotions less agitated, and his brain remained rational.
This was a condition Shen Bianye had agreed to, and he had followed through every time since. There were three empty inhibitor syringes in the trash can at that very moment.
But now, glancing at the chair beside him, Shen Bianye felt an inexplicable… regret.
Xie Yuanxing, who had been standing like a wooden dummy for half a day, felt his legs a little numb when he turned around. His expression was also a bit numb as he asked the young master, “Still biting?”
Shen Bianye watched his small throat unconsciously bob as he spoke, and a very strange thought suddenly popped into his mind:
Anyway, Xie Yuanxing is a beta.
There’s no gland on the back of his neck; biting Xie Yuanxing is just to deceive his own pheromones.
Then…
Where doesn’t he bite?
Shen Bianye lowered his gaze, his attention increasingly fixed on Xie Yuanxing’s Adam’s apple. He was a head taller than Xie Yuanxing, and his hand could easily grasp Xie Yuanxing’s throat.
The sensitive, delicate Adam’s apple rolled under his thumb, and Shen Bianye couldn’t help but apply a little pressure, pressing lightly.
“Can I bite here?”
He asked, in a low, gentle voice, almost a plea.
Xie Yuanxing was half-choked, though it didn’t hurt and he wasn’t suffocating, but the feeling of having his lifeline seized made him instinctively uneasy.
Yet, he didn’t retreat. Instead, he looked at Shen Bianye and said just as softly, “Do you know what you’re saying?”
Shen Bianye: “The contract says I can bite your neck, and this is also your neck.”
Xie Yuanxing was momentarily speechless.
His silence, in Shen Bianye’s eyes, became acquiescence. Shen Bianye couldn’t help but lean closer, feeling nervous himself, “I’ll be gentle, it won’t hurt much.”
Although Xie Yuanxing knew Shen Bianye wouldn’t bite him to death, his whole body tensed up the moment Shen Bianye came closer, and he instinctively reached out to push him away.
“No, you can’t bite… Mmm…”
His resisting hands were firmly grasped by Shen Bianye, and he was half-pressed against the wall, exposing his vulnerable neck.
The next second, Shen Bianye bit down.
It hurt a little, but very slightly. Rather than a bite, his Adam’s apple felt like it was entirely encompassed.
Shen Bianye held the small Adam’s apple in his mouth, gently nibbling and licking. The Adam’s apple moved, and his lips shifted with it, slowly imbuing that fragile windpipe with his scent.
He thought of the muzzle.
Or maybe, no muzzle was needed.
As long as Xie Yuanxing trembled and offered his Adam’s apple to his mouth, his restless fangs would be shackled.
He didn’t dare to use force, didn’t dare to bite, could only lick to satisfy his craving, holding the Adam’s apple, his mouth unable to close, saliva would drip from the corners of his lips, wetting Xie Yuanxing, staining him with his scent.
Xie Yuanxing didn’t know what thoughts were swirling in his mind. His eyes trembled, and he struggled uncontrollably.
The sensation of his Adam’s apple being held in someone’s mouth was too strange; he felt as if he had been electrocuted, even his waist felt numb. “No… Shen Bianye, let go… let go.”
Both of his hands were held above his head, pressed against the wall, and his shoulders were pinned by Shen Bianye’s shoulders, making his struggles seem weak.
When his body and hands could no longer move, he instinctively kicked out his legs.
Shen Bianye dodged just in time. The residual force of that kick brushed past without pain. Instead, Xie Yuanxing’s struggle sent a thrilling shiver up his spine.
His eyes immediately darkened. One hand seized both of Xie Yuanxing’s hands, and the other reached for Xie Yuanxing’s leg, intending to pull it onto his body.
This posture was too bizarre and dangerous. Even if Xie Yuanxing had never eaten pork, he knew something was wrong. He didn’t care about anything else, extending his legs and beginning to kick, “Shen Bianye! Put me down!”
“Your pheromones aren’t strong, don’t act crazy here!”
Shen Bianye released him, breathing heavily, and looked at him deeply, saying, “This weekend, come with me to the hospital for a check-up to see how my treatment is progressing.”
“Later, when my pheromone disorder is better, you’ll move out of the dorm.”
His situation was getting more and more out of control.
If it weren’t for Xie Yuanxing’s words about pheromones reminding him, Xie Yuanxing’s leg, which he had grabbed, would have been brought up to his waist.
What kind of posture that was, an adult would understand.
Xie Yuanxing rubbed his wrist, which already had a red mark, and casually agreed, “Okay, Saturday or Sunday?”
“When your pheromone disorder is better, you don’t need to tell me, I’ll move out.”
His initial application to change dorms was directly rejected by the counselor. Thinking about the contract, Xie Yuanxing didn’t insist further.
If Shen Bianye’s pheromone disorder was better and the counselor still procrastinated on letting him change, he would just have to find a way to chase after the counselor.
And if it was already sophomore year by then, he could also move off-campus. There were still many courses in sophomore year, but there weren’t as many random activities like weekend sign-ins and check-ins, so he could find a part-time job as a tutor or something similar.
Not only would it cover his rent, but he could also earn extra income.
Xie Yuanxing’s plans had already stretched far into the future when he suddenly heard Shen Bianye ask, “How can you be happy, Xie Yuanxing?”
?
Huh?
The topic changed too quickly, leaving Xie Yuanxing’s mind blank for a moment, unable to react.
Shen Bianye: “You taste like old lemonade.”
So is my Adam’s apple a lemon?
This thought quietly popped into Xie Yuanxing’s mind. He resisted saying it.
He knew Shen Bianye could taste his emotions, a strange ability that was hard to explain. He could only understand it as an anomaly of an SSS-level Alpha physique, being unique even in illness.
Shen Bianye had just tormented him, and now…
Xie Yuanxing’s lips curled up secretly, then his expression immediately darkened as he said, “Before, I used to feel good whenever I ate snowflake crisps from Daoxiang Village.”
Shen Bianye picked up his phone from the table, dropped a single sentence, and walked out the door, “Okay, wait for me.”
He was so fast that Xie Yuanxing didn’t even have time to say another word.
A University of Technology was in the new city. Xie Yuanxing hadn’t explored A City much, but he hadn’t seen a Daoxiang Village, a pastry shop more popular with older people, in the new city, although he didn’t know if A City had one at all.
He’d tell Shen Bianye after he’d been gone for ten minutes.
Xie Yuanxing’s lips curved slightly, his eyes bright, as he turned and went to his seat to do his homework for the day.
He watched the time, and when it was about right, he sent a message to Shen Bianye on his phone: “You don’t need to buy it, there isn’t one here in New City.”
Then, rather insincerely, he added a quick apology, “Sorry, I forgot earlier.”
He wouldn’t feel happy just because of a pastry; the reason he gave was just something he made up casually. Shen Bianye going to buy it was destined to be a futile effort.
The silver-blue Bugatti drove out of the university town lane, the supercar hugging the speed limit as it traversed the empty road, heading straight towards the edge of the new city.
The Daoxiang Village set on the navigation, a distance of one hundred and eighty-two kilometers, slowly shrunk with the ticking of the fuel gauge.
It was 7:20 PM. Shen Bianye had checked and seen that Daoxiang Village closed at 9:30 PM. With good luck, he might make it.
His long, well-defined fingers gripped the steering wheel, his index finger tapping continuously against the rim of the steering wheel as the traffic light counted down second by second. Shen Bianye’s face showed no expression. He stepped on the accelerator at the last second before the time ran out.
Time passed by. Xie Yuanxing finished one exam paper before realizing Shen Bianye hadn’t replied to him. He glanced at their empty chat interface and then removed him from his contacts list.
The young master probably knew he had been tricked and was too angry to return to the dorm.
He didn’t plan to ask more, stood up, and went to get a glass of water.
At 9 PM, Xie Yuanxing put on his headphones to listen to English, head down, writing and drawing in his workbook.
Shen Bianye, pressing down his annoyance, continuously honked his horn with undignified impatience, urging the pedestrians who were running a red light to move.
At 9:25 PM, Xie Yuanxing finished a long listening comprehension exercise, corrected his mistakes, and began writing an essay, biting the tip of his pen.
Shen Bianye parked the car by the roadside and hurriedly got out, running towards the pinned location.
At 9:40 PM, Xie Yuanxing was finishing his English essay: “…It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important.”
Shen Bianye called out to the sales assistant who was tidying up the shop, “Can I get a box of snowflake crisps, please?”
The sales assistant smiled and said, “There’s only one snowflake crisp left. Would you like anything else?”
Shen Bianye looked at the few remaining pastries in the glass counter, “Please pack all of them for me.”
The sales assistant’s eyes lit up, and she quickly started packing the boxes for Shen Bianye. “That’s eight hundred ninety-seven yuan in total. After the discount, will eight hundred ninety be alright?”
Shen Bianye scanned the code and paid, then carried five boxes back to the car. His mechanical wristwatch showed the time: 10:17 PM.
It would take over two more hours to drive back. By the time he reached the school, it would probably be twelve or one in the morning.
Four to five hours round trip, it didn’t seem that long.
However, as the car was almost back at school, Shen Bianye stared at the five large boxes of Daoxiang Village pastries on the passenger seat and slowly realized something was off.
Not to mention whether Xie Yuanxing could finish eating all of it by himself.
Just putting these five boxes in front of him, with Xie Yuanxing’s personality of easily misunderstanding if he’s treated well, wouldn’t Xie Yuanxing be incredibly touched?
What if he got touched and fell in love with him?
Shen Bianye reached out and took out the box with the snowflake crisp, placing it separately. He then called Zhou Chao, “Where are you? I’m bringing you food.”
Zhou Chao was pleasantly surprised, “That good? I’m at my school, come on over.”
Zhou Chao’s school was very close to A University of Technology, both in the university town area. This was why they often hung out together.
“Wait for me at the school gate.”
Shen Bianye hung up after a curt remark, turned the car around, and headed towards the College of Business where Zhou Chao was.
The car stopped at the gate of the College of Business. It was past midnight, and the school entrance was deserted with only a few night lights and Zhou Chao waiting in the cold wind.
“Finally, you’re here. Do you know how cold it is outside?” Zhou Chao opened the passenger door, ready to get in, but was startled by the pile of gift boxes.
“What’s all this?”
Shen Bianye: “Pastries, they’re all yours.”
Zhou Chao was utterly confused, “Why are you carrying four boxes of pastries in the middle of the night?”
He saw a box behind Shen Bianye and corrected himself, “Five boxes.”
Seeing that one box, Zhou Chao, sharp as he was, immediately understood the problem lay with the box next to Shen Bianye. “Who’s that one for?”
Shen Bianye fell silent.
The car door was open, and the cold wind howled into the car. He spoke coldly, “Xie Yuanxing wanted to eat it.”
Zhou Chao dragged out his voice and said, “Oh~ Xie Yuanxing wanted it.”
“Where did you buy it?”
Shen Bianye said coldly, “None of your business.”
“Take your pastries and close my car door.”
Zhou Chao didn’t move anymore, nor did he mind the cold wind. He just stood by the door, took out his phone, and fiddled with it.
Suddenly, under the streetlights in the dark night, by the school gate, next to the car, a loud voice rang out: “Ready to depart. The entire journey is one hundred and eighty kilometers, approximately two hours and twenty minutes.”
Shen Bianye: “……”
Zhou Chao: “……”
The latter was shocked, “You ran a hundred and eighty kilometers just to buy Xie Yuanxing a pastry?!”
Zhou Chao thought for a moment, then stammered, “No, no, there’s the return trip too, damn it, over three hundred kilometers, are you crazy?”
Shen Bianye clicked his tongue, “He was unhappy, and it really affects my pheromones.”
Shen Bianye paused, “Forgot.”
Zhou Chao: “Then you bought it for him, what are you giving it to me for?”
Shen Bianye furrowed his brows again, “If I give him too much, what if he thinks I value him a lot?”
Zhou Chao remembered that emoji, it perfectly matched his mood: subway, old man, looking at phone.jpg
After being friends for over a decade, it was the first time he felt he didn’t quite understand Shen Bianye’s thought process.
Oh, it wasn’t the first time. Shen Bianye had done such bizarre things more than once or twice, but each time it still managed to shock Zhou Chao anew.
Leading him to always feel it was the first time.
He didn’t understand, so he simply didn’t meddle, only saying, “Actually… you could also share the extra with your dear classmates.”
Shen Bianye: “…Forgot.”
He was just too focused on not letting Xie Yuanxing see.
He waved his hand, “Take it away, give it to your dear classmates.”
Zhou Chao: “Where are you going now? Back to school to get Xie Yuanxing to eat pastries?”
He glanced at the time, “In the middle of the night, one in the morning, eating pastries?”
Shen Bianye gave him a cold look: “I’m not an idiot.”
Zhou Chao was skeptical of this question, but wisely didn’t ask.
Instead, he said, “Then come with me. Drop me off at my place, and you can crash there for the night.”
“Don’t tell me, I was kept by the teacher until now, and I’m too tired to drive back, planning to make do with the school dorm for the night, and then you show up.”
As he spoke, he moved the items from the seat to the back, clicking his tongue, “Supercars are such a hassle, only two seats, it’s hard to make space.”
“Didn’t you stop driving this car? Why are you driving it around showing off again?”
Shen Bianye couldn’t be bothered with him, watching him fuss, acting like a lord and not lifting a finger to help.
After Zhou Chao got in, he tried to restrain himself, but couldn’t suppress his curiosity and asked:
“I say, you went to all that trouble just to buy Xie Yuanxing a pastry, was it really because of pheromones?”
Shen Bianye: “Spit it out if you have something to say.”
Zhou Chao: “…”
He paused, “You haven’t fallen for Xie Yuanxing, have you?”
“Male Betas can’t have children, your dad won’t approve.”
Shen Bianye turned to look at him, sneering; “Who I like has nothing to do with that old man.”
Zhou Chao was startled, then heard Shen Bianye continue, “But Xie Yuanxing?”
Shen Bianye looked out into the distant, dark night sky, scoffing, “I’d rather die than like Xie Yuanxing.”
“I just feel sorry for him.”
His lips curled slightly, as if smiling, yet not quite: “During the brief contract period, he can cure my illness, and I should be a little nicer to him.”
“Xie Yuanxing is actually not bad. He has good grades, a resilient spirit, he’s handsome, and he can play the piano. If it weren’t for the fact that I bit him and there’s this contract, we might have even become friends.”
Zhou Chao processed this logic, then became confused again, “Having a contract doesn’t mean you can’t be friends, does it?”
Shen Bianye: “Wouldn’t it be awkward to repeatedly bite a Beta you don’t like?”
“And Xie Yuanxing is easily swayed. What if he falls for me?”
Zhou Chao thought Shen Bianye was overly confident, but then he considered Shen Bianye’s wealth and that handsome, flawless face next to him, and realized it wasn’t impossible.
Moreover, Shen Bianye repeatedly emphasized that Xie Yuanxing was easily moved, so he must know something.
Shen Bianye: “I’m not like you, stringing this one along, hooking that one.”
“If it’s impossible, don’t give people hope.”
Taking a jab? Zhou Chao chuckled, “Arrogant.”
The car drove off into the distance, its silver-blue tail fin failing to enter the dreams of those sleeping soundly in the dorm.
The next morning when Xie Yuanxing woke up, there was a box of Daoxiang Village pastries on his desk.
He was a little surprised. He reached out and opened the box, and right in the center was the only snowflake crisp.
The dorm door was pushed open. Shen Bianye’s expression was calm, and he casually said, “The Daoxiang Village you mentioned was too far away. I had someone go buy it last night, and it just arrived this morning.”
An Alpha’s physique meant he showed no trace of having slept only at 3 AM the previous night. His black coat made his figure appear tall and upright, and the faint scent of cologne on him, instead of a dusty travel-worn smell, suggested a good night’s rest.
Xie Yuanxing hadn’t brushed his teeth yet. He reached out and closed the lid again. “Tell Uncle Gao thank you for me.”
Uncle Gao was the person who often brought them nutritious meals.
Xie Yuanxing was still a little drowsy. He slowly went to the balcony to brush his teeth, walking and saying:
“I’ll eat it later, but let’s be clear, I don’t have the same mood as last night anymore, so eating it might not bring out a happy taste.”
Shen Bianye leaned lazily against the doorframe, watching him wash up.
Hearing this, he clicked his tongue, also realizing.
It was impossible not to be angry after driving for four hours only to find out he’d been tricked, so Shen Bianye spoke without reservation.
His voice was lazy as he said, “Tsk, little liar.”
“If you lie again next time, I’ll put a ball gag in your mouth.”
“Pfft!” Xie Yuanxing was so shocked that he spat out his mouthwash directly, turning to look at Shen Bianye with wide, fearful eyes, muttering, “I won’t dare again.”
Too perverted, truly not to be provoked.
