Extra 3: Grape & Hawthorn Chat Logs
[Jian Yuheng]: [Head knock.jpg]
[Jian Yuheng]: Don’t rewind when I’m walking down the stairs. I just did an involuntary moonwalk.
[Song Ruochen]: [Head rub.jpg]
[Song Ruochen]: Assistant Gong knocked over your vase. I was fixing it.
[Jian Yuheng]: There’s rose-flavored milk candy in the drawer. I think it’s pretty good—try it. If you like it, I’ll have Assistant Gong stock more.
[Song Ruochen]: [3-second voice message] (munch munch munch)
[Jian Yuheng]: My brother just asked where we’re celebrating New Year’s Eve tonight.
[Song Ruochen]: He wants to celebrate on his husband’s lap. 0.0…
[Jian Yuheng]: …?
[Song Ruochen] has recalled a message.
[Song Ruochen]: 0.0?
[Song Ruochen]: That was Da Zao.
[Song Ruochen]: He picked up my phone when I wasn’t looking.
[Song Ruochen]: But I want to celebrate on the couch while watching TV. It’s too cold outside.
[Song Ruochen]: The A City channel has that alpha boy band performing tonight. The system said it wants to watch.
[Jian Yuheng]: Wait, I’ll have someone deliver some snacks and drinks home. Tonight, we’re celebrating New Year’s Eve on the couch with Grape in my arms!

Extra 4: Grape & Hawthorn’s Annual Work Reports
File Name: Song Ruochen – XX Year Work Summary Report (1)
Submitted by: Song Ruochen
Position: Xiaoshi Group CEO’s Secretary / Xiaoshi Group Advertising Director
Time passes, years fly by, and another year comes to an end.
I will summarize my work this year from the following aspects—
1. Work Content
People need work. Work brings income. Income allows workers to survive. At Xiaoshi Group, the leadership is great, the system is fair, and work can be a joyful thing. I worked hard in the office, focused in meetings, and kept work in mind even in the hallway. That concludes my work this year.
2. Work Reflections
This year, I learned many things.
In the advertising department, I learned video editing.
In the marketing department, I learned business strategy.
Under the CEO’s wife’s guidance, I learned fashion.
And in Jian Yuheng’s office, I learned many… positions.
3. Next Year’s Plans
(1) I saw the documents the second young master just approved—Xiaoshi Group’s building will have a rooftop garden. I bought some sunflower seeds. When spring comes, I’ll plant them with him. He’ll dig the holes, I’ll scatter the seeds. He’ll cover them, I’ll take photos.
(2) Jian Yuheng said he’ll teach me to ski next year. I’m so excited—I can finally use rewinds for dangerous stunts, hehe.
(3) Train Da Zao to become the industry’s top commentator.
(4) Help the CEO become one of the world’s top five richest people. The CEO and his wife still have work to do. Next year, I’ll schedule the CEO’s calendar even tighter.
(5) I want to ride in a hot air balloon. Jian Yuheng said he’ll take me next vacation. Looking forward to it!
My plans for next year are full of excitement!

File Name: Jian Yuheng – XX Year Work Summary Report
Submitted by: Jian Yuheng
Position: Xiaoshi Group CEO’s Secretary’s Alpha / Xiaoshi Group Second CEO
Time doesn’t really pass, years fly by in chaos, and another year comes to an end.
Song Ruochen’s annual work report landed on my desk and made me laugh. I tried to find seriousness in his unseriousness.
Grape did a lot this year—things he doesn’t remember, so I’ll remember for him.
For example:
– Xiaoshi’s talent development program is now in its second phase. The first batch of streamers has a great relationship with Grape and helped recommend many newcomers.
– Haochi has started collaborating with Song Ruochen on multiple short drama projects. Other industry companies have also reached out to him for partnerships.
– He also chased off two omegas who flirted with my brother and dissuaded three alphas who tried to hit on my sister-in-law. My brother and Da Zao’s relationship has gotten even better.
– This year, Song Ruochen also represented Xiaoshi as a spokesperson at an industry development conference.
He’s a grape who can become amazing with a few more tries—just a little exhausting for me.
I don’t mind.
Grape’s plans for next year are all about me. Happy.
Next year, I’ll add a coffee bar to Xiaoshi, stock beans Grape likes, upgrade the office chairs for better back support, and add a crêpe station to the cafeteria.
Grape’s annual report isn’t suitable for submission… so I’m keeping it for myself 🙂

Extra 5: Grape & Hawthorn’s New Year’s Eve
Song Ruochen: “Zzzzz…”
[This year, you rewound a total of 2,024 times—surpassing 0.5% of users.]
Song Ruochen: “?”
What kind of nonsense is this?
Every rewind is a new life experience.
Your favorite time to rewind is in the afternoon, savoring the long daylight hours.
The longest day you experienced this year was August 9th.
On this day, you rewound 18 times.
[Acquired “Barging In” and “Severe Punishment” from the Second Young Master.]
Song Ruochen: “??”
[On December 24th, you stayed up very late, still rewinding at 3:40 AM.]
[Was it something on your mind… or something in your bed? [Yellow Heart]]
Song Ruochen: “……”
Song Ruochen: “The rewind system has an annual report too?”
[Yes, dear.]
[I’m a legitimate system—annual summaries are included.]
Song Ruochen stared blankly at the ceiling, his mind a storm of calm.
Just then, Jian Yuheng walked over with a fruit platter, his gaze flickering over him.
“Awake?” he asked. “I was just about to wake you. We agreed to celebrate New Year’s together.”
Song Ruochen blinked guiltily, his expression twisting for two seconds before he spoke: “Please allow this 0.5-user to receive his annual system usage report.”
Jian Yuheng: “Pfft.”
Living long enough to see Grape cosplay as an System
“Just listen,” Song Ruochen said. “It told me to read it to you.”
Song Ruochen: “Over the past year, you actively requested system rewinds 52 times…”
Jian Yuheng sat down on the sofa, listening with interest.
“You preferred to request system rewinds… after 10 PM…” Song Ruochen turned into a glitchy little radio, stammering through the report. “Each rewind was… a new life experience.”
Song Ruochen: “.”
[0.5-user is still a user!]
[He has the right to know!]
Song Ruochen clenched his fist and continued: “According to system big data, your primary uses for rewinds were concentrated in…”
Song Ruochen’s face went blank: “Work and making money.”
Jian Yuheng: “……”
“Your big data seems… a bit inaccurate,” Jian Yuheng said, his lips twitching.
[I’m accurate. Grape is making things up.]
The system was hopping mad inside Song Ruochen’s head.
“It’s just an annual report—not for reference,” Song Ruochen said. “After all, when people see their yearly spending reports, they always yell, ‘Fake! I couldn’t have spent that much!'”
[Mood ruined.]
“What about the rest?” Jian Yuheng asked. “Is my freeloader rewind report really that short?”
“That’s it, that’s it,” Song Ruochen said.
He lowered his head, catching the amusement in the other’s smile, and suddenly felt mischievous.
“Now broadcasting the annual love report of Jian Yuheng and Song Ruochen,” Song Ruochen announced. “This year, Song Ruochen gave Jian Yuheng a small cake once, flowers fifty times…”
He started counting on his fingers.
Secretary Song had learned to decorate the office this year, picking fresh flowers from the shop downstairs every week to arrange in Jian Yuheng’s vase.
“We went on dates…” Song Ruochen mused.
“Thirty-one times,” Jian Yuheng finished. “Your favorite was the high-altitude revolving restaurant downtown. We traveled nine times—you liked the beds at the island resort best.”
“?? You remember everything so clearly,” Song Ruochen said, stunned.
He didn’t remember exactly how many times they went where, or how many times they held hands. He only knew that whenever he thought of the other, his heart felt like overturned grape juice—sweet and light, bubbling with happiness.
While he was lost in thought, a hand hooked around his neck, pulling him closer.
Somewhere along the way, the potent scent of hawthorn alpha pheromones enveloped him, and when he opened his eyes again, they shimmered with a faint, damp glow.
11:22 PM
His lips were pried open, his soft mouth thoroughly claimed. He instinctively arched back, the nape of his neck pressing into the alpha’s scorching palm. His lashes fluttered as a pretty, breathless whimper escaped him.
After so much time together, the other seemed to know every sensitive spot on his body, able to ignite his entire being with just a few touches.
A button at his collar popped open, the alpha’s hand resting possessively against his throat, as if marking his territory.
He tried to mimic the other’s movements, kissing back—only to accidentally bite Jian Yuheng’s lip.
Song Ruochen: “Uh…”
“Secretary Song,” Jian Yuheng’s voice was laced with amusement, “you don’t have to be good at everything.”
The overachieving Secretary Song, used to perfection, couldn’t stand mistakes. He wrapped his arms around the alpha’s neck and tried again. His hair was gently tugged, forcing his head back.
“Have I improved at kissing?” he asked.
“Do you think you’ve improved?” Jian Yuheng countered.
“I think—?” Halfway through his confusion, he suddenly noticed the shift beneath him.
Pressed so close, every change was keenly felt.
Song Ruochen: “……”
“Little Grape, listen to the countdown,” Jian Yuheng murmured. “The New Year’s coming—let’s cross it first.”
“5, 4…” The TV in the living room began the countdown. “3, 2, 1—”
Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows, fireworks burst across the city skyline, turning night into day.
Their clothes were rumpled from earlier intimacy, Song Ruochen’s pajama collar askew, his neck flushed from rough alpha touches.
Neither cared about the mess. Wrapped in the same blanket (a gift from Da Zao) and hugging the same pillow (courtesy of Fuzzy Monster), they watched the first fireworks of the New Year from the sofa.
“Happy New Year, Xiao Chen,” Jian Yuheng murmured, pressing a kiss to his lover’s neck.
Peace and joy, year after year.
With the one you love most by your side.
