FIMA Ch150: Company
Gu Siyuan froze for a moment, and then immediately couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
He usually kept a cold face and rarely smiled, let alone letting out such a hearty, unrestrained laugh. It was like the melting of ice and snow, or the first bloom of winter plum blossoms.
For a moment, everyone—including the driver and assistant in the car, as well as Qi Yue who was running over—couldn’t help but stare blankly.
Xie Fengqing also realized his words just now had been too explicit. His pale, clean face flushed a deep crimson, transitioning from anger to bashfulness.
Gu Siyuan’s heart softened even more.
Extending his long arm, he pulled Xie Fengqing into his embrace, dropped a light kiss on his pale forehead, and said with complete seriousness: “Who else could it be but you? If I went a single day without getting into your bed, I wouldn’t be able to survive. Why would I punish myself with such cruel torture?”
Only then did a trace of a smile appear on Xie Fengqing’s face. He feigned reserve and scolded playfully, “In broad daylight, in front of everyone, what are you saying?”
The corners of Gu Siyuan’s lips curled up, and he didn’t say anything more.
But the atmosphere between the two of them was so thick that absolutely no one could insert themselves into it.
Qi Yue hadn’t heard their conversation, but seeing this scene, he couldn’t help but narrow his eyes: “Siyuan… you two…”
He had seen the recent rumors online saying that these two had gotten back together. Looking at them now, could it actually be true?
Xie Fengqing turned around, looked at him coldly, and mocked: “If it isn’t Young Master Qi, the man who walks through flowers without a single leaf touching him. What are you doing calling my boyfriend’s name?”
Qi Yue frowned: “Boyfriend? Are you two really back together?”
Xie Fengqing smiled, seemingly entirely nonchalant: “What do you mean ‘together’? Do you mean together as in we spent the weekend together, together as in we slept in the same bed these past two days, or together as in coming to school together this early in the morning?”
Slept in the same bed? Hearing this, Qi Yue immediately caught the most crucial words. These two were…
Right at that moment, Xie Fengqing raised a hand to support his slender waist and complained to Gu Siyuan: “It’s all your fault. My body still hurts right now. Next time, you aren’t allowed to act like a starving wolf!”
His voice was lazy yet seductive, carrying an indescribable, alluring charm.
How could Gu Siyuan not see through his motives?
Immediately, he naturally placed his large palm on Xie Fengqing’s slender waist and back, rubbing it gently: “It’s my fault, and also your fault.”
Xie Fengqing’s eyes arched up: “How is it my fault?”
Gu Siyuan said flatly: “Who asked my boyfriend to be so charming.”
Xie Fengqing’s cheeks flushed red again.
His boyfriend was truly a closet romantic. When they weren’t together, he was terrifyingly cold; completely unlike this.
Meanwhile, Qi Yue, standing to the side, had an expression that was ugly to the extreme.
Initially, he had purposely approached Gu Siyuan because he couldn’t stand Xie Fengqing. Both the Qi and Xie families were prominent households in N City, and the two had known each other since childhood. But no matter what—whether it was studying or playing games—Xie Fengqing was always better than him.
So, whenever he saw something belonging to Xie Fengqing, he subconsciously wanted to snatch it.
But after getting his hands on Gu Siyuan, he felt the man was exceptionally vulgar and quickly lost interest.
But who could have known that the second time he saw Gu Siyuan at N University, it was as if he had become a completely different person? That cold, aloof demeanor, and that gaze that looked down on everything in the world, truly made one’s heart itch.
Young Master Qi’s original intention to just play around had instead turned into an inability to let go. He had actively sought him out several times, and today he had come specifically to find Gu Siyuan.
But who knew these two would actually get back together?
And put on such a show right in front of him?!
It was truly fcking ridiculous…*
Gu Siyuan let go of Xie Fengqing and said flatly: “I’m going to work. Study hard.”
Xie Fengqing nodded: “Mm.”
Gu Siyuan turned around and got into the car.
Qi Yue suddenly snapped back to reality and shouted, “Hey, Siyuan…”
But Gu Siyuan acted as if he hadn’t heard him, just as he had acted as if he hadn’t seen him earlier. In his eyes and ears, the person Qi Yue simply did not exist.
With a muffled thud, the car door closed, and the black sedan sped off, leaving nothing but dust in its wake.
Qi Yue’s expression was incredibly ugly.
Xie Fengqing dropped his coquettish demeanor from moments ago. Crossing his arms, his face turned utterly cold, taking on an awe-inspiring, untouchable appearance.
His gaze swept coldly over Qi Yue: “Young Master Qi, repeatedly pestering my boyfriend is truly an ugly look on you.”
“You…” Qi Yue irritably kicked the flowerbed next to him, feeling he had completely lost all face today.
Even more face than Xie Fengqing had lost that day he gave him a green hat.
He glared viciously at Xie Fengqing, turned around, walked to his sports car, started the engine, and drove straight out of N University’s gates.
Xie Fengqing smiled smugly and walked into the school.
As soon as he entered the major course classroom, he felt goosebumps rise all over his body. It was probably because the female classmates in the room were all staring at him with highly meaningful gazes.
The moment Qiu Yu saw him, he practically pounced: “You and Gu Siyuan got back together, right?!”
Xie Fengqing nodded.
Qiu Yu smacked him angrily: “Who was it that told me right here last week that ‘a good horse doesn’t eat old grass’?!”
Xie Fengqing’s expression remained unchanged as he feigned reserve: “Definitely not me. My grass grew legs and jumped right in front of me. I could eat it directly without having to turn my head.”
“…” Qiu Yu.
Good for you, Xie Fengqing, sharp-tongued and as stubborn as a dead duck.
Thinking of something, he changed the topic: “I heard our Young Master Xie gave out massive perks in his live stream—giving away a million RMB in celebration money just like that. Well, don’t you have anything to show your old friend who supported you all the way? Like bringing your boyfriend along to treat your old friend to a meal or something?”
Hearing this, Xie Fengqing burst out laughing: “I definitely have to treat you. However, you’re wrong about one thing.”
Qiu Yu frowned: “What?”
Xie Fengqing said: “I didn’t send out those red envelopes. Gu Siyuan did.”
Qiu Yu shot him a look: “Isn’t he still spending your money? I admit my opinion of Handsome Gu has changed, but financially, he can still only be a sugar baby relying on you…”
“It really wasn’t. That was his own money.” Xie Fengqing shook his head, speaking entirely seriously: “You know the saying ‘treat someone with newfound respect after three days of separation’, right? What do you think Gu Siyuan was doing not coming to school for months? He started a company. I heard he began preparing for it last year.”
Qiu Yu’s eyes widened: “Even if he started it last year, how long has it been? Casually throwing around a million in red envelopes… what kind of massive business is he running? Besides selling drugs, what makes that kind of money?!”
Xie Fengqing pouted in dissatisfaction: “Watch your words, comrade. He’s in the internet tech industry.”
Qiu Yu was still somewhat in shock. He looked at him: “Are… are you serious?”
Xie Fengqing spread his hands, unable to hide the smugness on his face: “Why would I lie to you?”
Qiu Yu sat in his chair, smacking his lips: “Holy crap. Gu Siyuan, the former sugar baby, actually turned into a rapidly growing blue-chip stock overnight? You really do have a good eye, man.”
Xie Fengqing chuckled: “Of course.”
As if recalling something, Qiu Yu suddenly smacked his head: “If I had known that, I would have had a lot more confidence when I was cursing people out online today!”
Xie Fengqing frowned, his gaze turning cold: “Cursing people? What happened? Are people hating on my Old Gu again?”
Qiu Yu was originally angry, but seeing him like this, he couldn’t help but laugh out loud: “Look at how protective you are! They aren’t just insulting Gu Siyuan, they’re insulting you too.”
“There are so many people on the internet now, so there’s bound to be a lot of bullshit. Those people can’t even manage their own lives, yet they spend all day cursing others. You two have a lot of CP shippers, so naturally, some anti-fans popped up. Who knows what those idiots do, but they dug up your and Gu Siyuan’s family backgrounds. They’re saying he’s acting generous with your money while being a sugar baby, and that you are a dizzy, love-struck idiot throwing yourself at a poor boy… Anyway, things like that. They’re saying some pretty nasty stuff.”
Xie Fengqing couldn’t help but roll his eyes: “These people nowadays just have too much free time because the country feeds them too well. I originally thought after duo-queuing with Gu Siyuan once, those rumors would disappear. Who would have thought that sending red envelopes would just spawn a new narrative.”
Qiu Yu laughed loudly: “Who told you two to be so popular? You guys literally carved out a bloody path among all those real entertainment industry CPs relying purely on your faces! Your traffic is even higher than actual celebrities…”
The morning major courses ended.
Xie Fengqing had planned to treat Qiu Yu to lunch, but he received a sudden phone call. He said helplessly, “Old Man Xie told me to go home.”
Qiu Yu didn’t mind and just smiled: “Go on then. Since your Gu Siyuan has struck it rich, the restaurants around the school won’t satisfy me anymore. Have him treat me to a three-star Michelin restaurant later.”
“No problem.”
In the taxi ride home, Xie Fengqing roughly considered Old Man Xie’s motives.
It couldn’t be anything other than two reasons: either to settle the score regarding the incident at the event the other day, or to fish for information about Gu Siyuan. The latter possibility was much higher.
Although the old man was an absolute idiot, he was terrifyingly sharp in certain aspects.
Furthermore, because of the scandal at the event that day, the Xie family’s media company hadn’t been doing so well recently. The interior was a mess, and they were being sued by several sponsors.
After entering the Xie family villa, things went exactly as expected. The old man was rarely amiable toward him. Even when Xie Fengqing verbally attacked that idiot Liao Haoran several times at the dinner table, the old man didn’t blindly show favoritism like he usually did, merely glaring and blowing his beard at him.
Tsk, what else is there to say? Money really is a good thing.
It was so good that his hubby had money.
However, very quickly, thanks to his deliberate “efforts”, Old Man Xie’s attitude changed once again, completely infuriated to the point of rolling his eyes.
After dinner.
Xie Fengqing sat cross-legged on the sofa, a piece of fruit dangling from his mouth, and said lazily: “You’re asking me all this, but how would I know? Just like how you used to scold me: a useless person like me, besides having good looks and knowing how to play some stupid game, knows absolutely nothing else. And you expect me to understand Gu Siyuan’s profound and unfathomable business matters? You really think too highly of me.”
“Dad was just angry at the time, I was just joking with you.” Xie Xu naturally heard the sarcasm in his words. He wanted to lose his temper but forcefully held it back.
Smiling, he continued: “It doesn’t matter if you don’t understand the matters of President Gu’s company. You just need to do as I say. We are father and son, a family. Would Dad ever harm you?”
“A family?” Xie Fengqing smiled, his gaze casually sweeping over Liao Haoran’s face nearby. “Unfortunately, there’s more than just you in this family, isn’t there?”
Xie Xu’s eyes flickered, and he tried hard to change the subject: “Ah haha, since you and President Gu are already together, when will you bring President Gu home for a meal?”
Xie Fengqing looked up and let out a light laugh: “Oh my, Chairman Xie truly is a busy man with a bad memory. I remember last year, when I brought Gu Siyuan back, you were cursing at the heavens and the earth, telling me and him to get the hell out. At the banquet hall a while ago, you also ridiculed him in every possible way. With all that, how could I possibly have the nerve to bring him back to parade in front of you?”
“…” Xie Xu.
This wretched little bastard.
Liao Haoran immediately interjected: “Xie Fengqing, how can you speak to Dad like that?”
Xie Fengqing shot him a cold look: “None of your f*cking business. Stop putting on an act in front of me.”
“You…” Liao Haoran’s expression turned ugly.
Xie Xu also gritted his teeth. Staring at Xie Fengqing, he said: “Your surname is Xie. The Xie family company is having a hard time right now. If something major happens, you will also suffer a huge loss. Can you really not understand even this much?”
Xie Fengqing smiled: “So, Dad, you’re planning to give me all the company’s shares? That’s great! I’ll immediately hire a lawyer to draft the contract. Once it takes effect, I promise I will properly persuade Gu Siyuan to save our company from the fire and water, and even have him help our company grow and reach the next level.”
Hearing this, Liao Haoran’s face instantly sank, and he urgently looked at Xie Xu: “Dad!”
Xie Xu felt a wave of irritation in his heart.
This wretched brat is truly hard to deal with.
However, he still stiffly explained to Xie Fengqing: “Fengqing, you are still young. Managing a company is very complex, and the matter of shares isn’t as simple as you think…”
“Am I still very young?” Xie Fengqing immediately smiled: “Dad, since that’s the case, how dare you ask me to talk to Gu Siyuan about such a major issue? You’re putting so much pressure on me!”
Xie Xu ground his teeth: “Fengqing, do you have to speak like this?”
Xie Fengqing sneered: “How am I speaking? I only have one thing to say. Unless the Xie family company is completely mine, whether it lives or dies has absolutely nothing to do with me! I wish it would go bankrupt sooner, so certain b*tches’ schemes will come to nothing. Anyway, my hubby has money; I’ll still live a very comfortable life.”
“You…” Xie Xu really couldn’t hold it back anymore, raging: “Are you intentionally trying to go against me?! The company also contains your mother’s blood, sweat, and tears! Are you just going to disregard that too? What face will you have to see your mother in the future?!”
Xie Fengqing scoffed coldly: “Why would I have no face? If you have the ability, go right ahead and have my mom jump out of her grave to beat me up. If you don’t have that ability, then stop playing these games of threats and bribery with me. Let me tell you, it won’t work.”
With that, he stood straight up and said to Old Man Xie: “If there’s no real business, I’m leaving. Try not to look for me to talk about these ridiculous things in the future.”
The two people on the sofa in the room watched his retreating back, furious enough to spit fire, yet entirely helpless to do anything about it.
He had successfully angered them half to death.
Xie Fengqing was in a very good mood. After leaving the villa, he strolled leisurely toward the residential complex exit.
Just as he turned the corner by the eaves, he saw two figures hugging and kissing.
He froze for a moment, planning to take a few steps back and wait until they left before passing by.
Just then, the two seemed to have kissed enough and released each other. Because of this, Xie Fengqing got a clear look at their faces.
It was exactly Ying Ning and Zhuo Yaoxuan.
He recognized Zhuo Yaoxuan; after all, they had been the Xie family’s neighbors for years. Moreover, Old Man Xie used to frequently use Zhuo Yaoxuan as an example to lecture him.
Ying Ning had just moved in last winter. They had happened to run into each other on moving day, and Ying Ning had claimed to be Zhuo Yaoxuan’s younger cousin. He didn’t expect the two of them to actually have that kind of relationship.
Xie Fengqing couldn’t help but smile, recalling how Gu Siyuan seemed particularly wary of Ying Ning. Whenever Gu Siyuan saw him walking with Ying Ning, he would get unhappy, repeatedly telling him to stay away.
Thinking this, he suddenly missed Gu Siyuan incredibly, even though they had only been separated for a few hours.
Spring… truly was a season suited for falling in love.
Xie Fengqing looked down at the time on his phone. It was almost 3:00 PM.
In that case, perhaps he could make a trip to Gu Siyuan’s company, pick his boyfriend up from work, and conveniently familiarize himself with his upcoming internship location in advance.
Gu Siyuan had previously told him the company’s name and address.
After walking into the skyscraper, Xie Fengqing was just about to ask the front desk where Gu Siyuan’s office was or if he needed an appointment.
As a result, before he could even utter a single word…
The female receptionists stared at him with shining eyes, as if they had just spotted a rare animal: “It’s you!”
“…” Xie Fengqing.
Is he really that famous now?
“You’re here for President Gu, right? President Gu is currently in a meeting. I’ll take you to his office to wait for a bit,” a receptionist with a ponytail offered enthusiastically.
“…” Xie Fengqing nodded: “Alright.”
As soon as Gu Siyuan walked out of the conference room, he heard that Xie Fengqing had come to the company.
He quickened his pace toward his office.
Upon pushing open the door, he immediately saw Xie Fengqing standing in front of the desk, head bowed, doing who knows what.
Gu Siyuan was just about to call out to him when he saw Xie Fengqing turn around holding a furry object in his hand. The look in his eyes as he stared at Gu Siyuan was no different from looking at a pervert.

It’s a bit weird that the protagonists from the original story have barely appeared or threatened the GuXie couple in this arc. Not sure if this is connected to the overall plot of the novel or the author decided to change things up before the end. Not complaining btw, the protagonists are usually the most self-righteous and hypocritical ones, I usually can’t stand them.
+1 hate self-righteous inflate ego green tea protagonist
Gu Siyuan is right in this one. Xie’s unfortunate fate start with his feeling to Ning Ying. When his feeling is nothing wrong, the protagonist couple take it wrongly. One do not explain clearly and the other is blind jealousy with power 😅 I could see the original story want to spice the relationship with Xie’s interference, so is his death serving the emotional impact to original story reader even though clearly it’s not fair, usual sml treatment in most love triangle story.. It’s nice to see author choose that the protagonist doesn’t care with whatever our Xie doing because he is not bothering their romance journey. Everyone brain seems turn offline when it’s comes to love here 🤣
