FIMA Ch150: Company
Gu Siyuan was momentarily stunned, then couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
He usually kept a cold face and rarely laughed, let alone so heartily. It was like ice melting and plum blossoms blooming.
For a moment, everyone, including the driver and assistant in the car, as well as Qi Yue, who was approaching, were slightly stunned.
Xie Fengqing realized his words had been too straightforward, and his pale face flushed from anger to embarrassment.
Gu Siyuan’s heart softened further.
He extended his long arm and pulled Xie Fengqing into his embrace, placing a light kiss on his fair forehead, “Who else could it be besides you? I can’t get through a day without your bed, let alone punish myself with such a cruel sentence.”
Only then did a smile appear on Xie Fengqing’s face, and he feigned modesty, “What are you saying in public?”
Gu Siyuan’s lips curved slightly, but he said no more.
The atmosphere between them was impenetrable.
Qi Yue couldn’t hear their conversation but, seeing this scene, squinted his eyes, “Siyuan… you two…”
He had seen the recent rumors online, suggesting the two had reconciled, and it seemed to be true?
Xie Fengqing turned to him, looking cold and mocking, “Isn’t this the famous Young Master Qi, untainted by flowers? Why are you calling my boyfriend’s name?”
Qi Yue frowned, “Boyfriend? Are you two really back together?”
Xie Fengqing smiled indifferently, “What do you mean by ‘back together’? Do you mean spending the weekend together, sleeping together these past few days, or coming to school together early in the morning?”
Sleeping together?
Qi Yue immediately caught the key words.
These two…
At this moment, Xie Fengqing supported his slim waist and complained to Gu Siyuan, “It’s all your fault. I’m still sore. Next time, don’t be such a beast!”
His voice was lazy yet alluring, with an indescribable charm.
Gu Siyuan saw through his intention immediately.
He naturally placed his large hand on Xie Fengqing’s slender waist and back, gently rubbing, “It was my fault, but it’s also yours.”
Xie Fengqing’s eyes sparkled, “How is it my fault?”
Gu Siyuan said calmly, “Because my boyfriend is so irresistible.”
Xie Fengqing blushed again.
His boyfriend was truly a closet romantic.
When they weren’t together, he was cold and frightening, nothing like this.
Meanwhile, Qi Yue’s face turned extremely sour.
He had initially approached Gu Siyuan to spite Xie Fengqing.
The Qi and Xie families were both prominent families in N City, and they had known each other since childhood. But Xie Fengqing, despite neglecting his studies, was still better at video games than him.
So, whenever he saw something that belonged to Xie Fengqing, he instinctively wanted to snatch it.
But after getting Gu Siyuan, he found him incredibly vulgar and quickly lost interest.
However, when he saw Gu Siyuan for the second time at N University, it was as if he had transformed. That cold and aloof demeanor, the eyes that looked down on everything, were truly intriguing.
Qi Yue, who initially approached Gu Siyuan just for fun, found himself unable to let go. After several attempts, he specifically came to find Gu Siyuan today.
But who would have thought that these two had actually gotten back together?
And they were putting on such a show in front of him?
This was really fu*ked up…
Gu Siyuan released Xie Fengqing and said calmly, “I’m going to work now. Study well.”
Xie Fengqing nodded, “Hmm.”
Gu Siyuan turned around and got into the car.
Qi Yue suddenly snapped out of it and shouted, “Hey, Siyuan…”
But Gu Siyuan acted as if he didn’t hear him, just as he seemingly hadn’t seen him earlier, with no trace of Qi Yue in his eyes or ears.
With a muffled thud, the black sedan drove away, leaving only dust behind.
Qi Yue’s face was extremely ugly.
Xie Fengqing put away his coquettish demeanor, crossed his arms, and looked cold and unapproachable.
His gaze swept over Qi Yue coldly, “Young Master Qi, it’s quite unsightly to keep pestering my boyfriend.”
“You…” Qi Yue kicked the nearby flower bed in frustration, feeling utterly humiliated today.
Even more so than when he was cuckolded by Xie Fengqing.
He glared at Xie Fengqing and then walked to his sports car, started it, and left N University’s gate.
Xie Fengqing smiled triumphantly and walked into the school.
As soon as he entered the professional course classroom, he felt goosebumps.
Probably because the girls in the class were all looking at him with meaningful glances.
Qiu Yu immediately pounced on him, “You and Gu Siyuan got back together, right?”
Xie Fengqing nodded.
Qiu Yu angrily slapped him, “Who was it that said last week that a good horse doesn’t turn back to graze on old grass?”
Xie Fengqing’s expression remained unchanged as he feigned modesty, “Definitely not me. My grass grew legs and jumped in front of me, so I didn’t have to turn back to graze.”
“…Qiu Yu.”
“You’re quite the sharp-tongued, stubborn guy, Xie Fengqing.”
Thinking of something, Qiu Yu changed the topic, “I heard our Young Master Xie gave out a million in red envelopes during a live broadcast. Is there nothing for an old friend who has supported you all the way? Maybe take your boyfriend and treat your old friend to a meal or something?”
Upon hearing this, Xie Fengqing burst into laughter, “Of course. But you got one thing wrong.”
Qiu Yu frowned, “What?”
Xie Fengqing said, “Those red envelopes weren’t from me; they were from Gu Siyuan.”
Qiu Yu glanced at him, “Isn’t that still your money? I admit I’ve changed my opinion of the handsome Gu, but he still lives off you financially…”
“It’s really not. It’s his own money.” Xie Fengqing shook his head seriously, “You know the saying, ‘judge a man by the company he keeps.’ What do you think Gu Siyuan has been doing for the past few months when he wasn’t even at school? He started a company, and I heard he’s been preparing for it since last year.”
Qiu Yu’s eyes widened, “Even if he started a company last year, it’s only been a short time. Giving out a million in red envelopes so casually—what kind of big business is he in? Besides selling drugs, what could make that much money?”
Xie Fengqing pouted disapprovingly, “Watch your words. He’s into the internet business.”
Qiu Yu was still somewhat shocked and looked at him, “You… you’re serious?”
Xie Fengqing spread his hands, his eyes and brows filled with pride, “Why would I lie to you?”
Qiu Yu sat down in his chair, clicking his tongue, “Damn, Gu Siyuan, the former soft rice guy, has suddenly become a rapidly growing potential stock. You really have a good eye.”
Xie Fengqing chuckled, “Absolutely.”
Suddenly thinking of something, Qiu Yu smacked his head, “Had I known, I’d have had more confidence when I was cursing people online today.”
Xie Fengqing frowned, his gaze turning cold, “Cursing? What happened, someone badmouthing our Old Gu again?”
Qiu Yu, who had been angry, couldn’t help but laugh, “Look at you being so protective. They weren’t just cursing Gu Siyuan; they were cursing you too.”
“Nowadays, there are so many people online, and therefore more nonsense. Those people can’t even live their own lives properly but still find time to curse others. Since you two have many CP fans, some haters have also appeared. They dug into your and Gu Siyuan’s family backgrounds and said he’s squandering your money, living off you. As for you, they call you a foolish love-brained idiot, a moron for falling for a poor guy… anyway, they said some pretty nasty things.”
Xie Fengqing couldn’t help but roll his eyes, “People nowadays are just too well-fed by the state. I thought that after duo-queuing with Gu Siyuan, those comments would stop, but after giving out red envelopes, there’s new gossip.”
Qiu Yu laughed loudly, “It’s because you two are so popular. With your looks, you’ve carved out a path among many real-life CPs in the entertainment industry, with more traffic than celebrities…”
The morning’s professional courses ended.
Xie Fengqing was going to treat Qiu Yu to lunch but received a phone call.
He said helplessly, “Old Man Xie wants me to go home.”
Qiu Yu didn’t mind and laughed, “Go ahead. Since your Gu Siyuan is rich now, the nearby restaurants don’t satisfy me anymore. Next time, let him treat me to a Michelin three-star meal.”
“No problem.”
…
On the way home in a taxi, Xie Fengqing thought briefly about Old Man Xie’s purpose.
It was nothing more than two things: either to settle accounts for the event the other day or to inquire about Gu Siyuan. The latter was more likely.
Though the old man was an out-and-out fool, he was frighteningly sharp in some areas.
Moreover, due to the scandal at the event that day, the Xie family’s media company hasn’t been doing well recently. It’s in chaos internally and has been sued by several sponsors.
After entering the Xie family villa.
As expected, the old man was uncharacteristically kind to him. Even when he mocked that idiot Liao Haoran several times at the dinner table, the old man didn’t blow his top like before, scolding him harshly.
Tsk, money really is a good thing.
It’s great that his husband is rich.
But soon, thanks to his efforts, the old man still changed his attitude towards him, getting so angry that his eyes rolled back.
After dinner.
Xie Fengqing sat cross-legged on the sofa, a fruit in his mouth, lazily saying, “You ask me these things, how would I know? Just like you used to scold me, I’m such a good-for-nothing, except for looking good and playing some crappy games, I know nothing. You want me to understand those profound things about Gu Siyuan, you’re really overestimating me?”
“Dad was just angry and joking with you.”
Xie Xu naturally detected the sarcasm in his words and restrained his anger.
He smiled and said, “It’s okay if you don’t understand the matters in President Gu’s company, just do as I say. We’re family, would Dad harm you?”
“Family?” Xie Fengqing chuckled, his gaze fleetingly sweeping over Liao Haoran’s face: “It’s a pity that in this family, it’s not just you.”
Xie Xu’s eyes flickered, trying hard to change the topic: “Ahaha, since you’re with President Gu, when will you bring him home for a meal?”
Xie Fengqing looked up and laughed softly: “Oh my, our Chairman Xie really has a bad memory. I remember when I brought Gu Siyuan back last year, you swore at the sky and earth telling us to get out. A while ago at the banquet hall, you also mocked us in every possible way. How can I dare bring him back to flaunt him in front of you?”
“…” Xie Xu.
This infuriating brat.
Liao Haoran immediately said, “Xie Fengqing, how can you speak to Dad like that?”
Xie Fengqing gave him a cold glance: “Mind your own business, don’t put on an act in front of me.”
“You…” Liao Haoran’s face turned ugly.
Xie Xu gritted his teeth, staring at Xie Fengqing: “Your surname is Xie, if something big happens to Xie Company now, you will suffer significant losses too. Can’t you understand even this?”
Xie Fengqing laughed: “So, Dad, are you planning to give me all the company’s shares? That’s great, I’ll call a lawyer right away to draft a contract. Once it takes effect, I’ll definitely persuade Gu Siyuan to save our company from distress, and even help elevate it to greater heights.”
Hearing this, Liao Haoran’s face darkened immediately, anxiously looking at Xie Xu: “Dad!”
Xie Xu was also furious.
This cunning kid is really hard to deal with.
Still, he stiffly explained to Xie Fengqing: “Fengqing, you’re still young, managing a company is very complicated, the shares issue is not as simple as you think…”
“Am I still very young?” Xie Fengqing immediately smiled: “Dad, if that’s the case, how can you dare let me discuss such significant matters with Gu Siyuan? It’s stressing me out!”
Xie Xu gritted his teeth: “Fengqing, do you have to talk like this?”
Xie Fengqing sneered: “Talking how? I only have one thing to say, unless Xie Company is entirely mine, whether it lives or dies has nothing to do with me. I’d love for it to collapse early, so some cheap people’s plans fall through. Anyway, my husband is rich, I’ll still live comfortably.”
“You…” Xie Xu couldn’t hold back his anger: “Are you deliberately opposing me? The company also has your mother’s efforts, do you not care about that? How will you face your mother in the future?”
Xie Fengqing sneered: “Why wouldn’t I have the face? If you have the ability, you can let my mom jump out of the grave to beat me up. If not, stop trying to threaten or entice me. I’m telling you, it won’t work.”
Saying this, he stood up and said to the old man: “If there’s nothing serious, I’ll leave first. In the future, try to avoid talking to me about these pointless matters.”
The two on the sofa looked at his departing back, fuming but helpless.
Successfully driving them mad.
Xie Fengqing was in a good mood. After leaving the villa, he leisurely walked out of the community.
But just as he turned a corner, he saw two figures hugging and kissing.
He paused, planning to step back a few steps and wait for them to leave before going over.
At that moment, the two seemed to have had enough kissing and released each other, revealing their faces to Xie Fengqing.
It was Ning Ying and Zhuo Yaoxuan.
He knew Zhuo Yaoxuan, after all, they had been neighbors for many years, and the old man often used Zhuo Yaoxuan as an example to lecture him;
Ning Ying had moved here last winter. When they met during the move, Ning Ying said he was Zhuo Yaoxuan’s cousin. Unexpectedly, they were in such a relationship.
Xie Fengqing couldn’t help but laugh, remembering how Gu Siyuan seemed particularly wary of Ning Ying.
Whenever he saw them together, Gu Siyuan would be unhappy and repeatedly asked him to stay away from Ning Ying.
Thinking of this, he suddenly missed Gu Siyuan a lot, even though they had only been apart for a few hours.
Spring, such a season for love.
Xie Fengqing looked at his phone, it was almost three o’clock.
So now, perhaps he could go to Gu Siyuan’s company, pick up his boyfriend from work, and familiarize himself with the place where he would soon intern.
Gu Siyuan had told him the company’s name and address before.
After entering the building, he was about to ask the receptionist where Gu Siyuan’s office was or make an appointment.
Before he could say a word.
The female staff members looked at him as if they were seeing some rare creature, their eyes shining: “It’s you!”
“…” Xie Fengqing.
Has he really become this famous now?
“You’re here to see President Gu, right? President Gu is in a meeting right now. I’ll take you to his office to wait.” A female staff member with a ponytail said enthusiastically.
“…” Xie Fengqing nodded: “Okay.”
Gu Siyuan came out of the meeting room and heard that Xie Fengqing had come to the company.
He quickened his pace towards his office.
When he opened the door, he saw Xie Fengqing standing by the desk, his head lowered, doing something.
Gu Siyuan was about to call out to him when he saw Xie Fengqing turn around holding something furry in his hand, looking at him as if he were a pervert.
It’s a bit weird that the protagonists from the original story have barely appeared or threatened the GuXie couple in this arc. Not sure if this is connected to the overall plot of the novel or the author decided to change things up before the end. Not complaining btw, the protagonists are usually the most self-righteous and hypocritical ones, I usually can’t stand them.
+1 hate self-righteous inflate ego green tea protagonist
Gu Siyuan is right in this one. Xie’s unfortunate fate start with his feeling to Ning Ying. When his feeling is nothing wrong, the protagonist couple take it wrongly. One do not explain clearly and the other is blind jealousy with power 😅 I could see the original story want to spice the relationship with Xie’s interference, so is his death serving the emotional impact to original story reader even though clearly it’s not fair, usual sml treatment in most love triangle story.. It’s nice to see author choose that the protagonist doesn’t care with whatever our Xie doing because he is not bothering their romance journey. Everyone brain seems turn offline when it’s comes to love here 🤣
