FIMA Ch149: In Love
“…” Xie Fengqing.
Xie Fengqing pressed a hand over his heart, which was beating like a drum.
Right now, I just want to crumple Gu Siyuan into a ball and swallow him whole. Is that allowed?
Meeting his shining eyes, Gu Siyuan raised an eyebrow slightly: “What kind of nonsense are you thinking about?”
Xie Fengqing licked his lips and raised his chin: “Hmph, President Gu is so domineering, you even want to control what I’m thinking?”
Gu Siyuan cast a deep look at him, raised his hand, and turned off the live stream camera.
“…Why did you turn it off? I still wanted to bicker with them a bit more!” Xie Fengqing frowned.
His husband had spent money today. If he didn’t get to scold these annoying fans a bit, it felt like a huge loss.
Gu Siyuan’s expression was indifferent: “I was afraid you wouldn’t be able to control your feelings for me and would do something inappropriate in front of the camera.”
Xie Fengqing: “…”
His cheeks flushed bright red.
What nonsense are you spouting?! My public image has always been very aloof and noble, okay?!
“I suppose I’ll just have to satisfy you,” Gu Siyuan said, looking at his flushed cheeks and eyes brimming with spring desire. He reached out, swept the person up into a bridal carry, and walked toward the bedroom.
Xie Fengqing leaned over his shoulder, his arms wrapped around his neck: “Satisfy me with what?”
Gu Siyuan tossed him onto the bed, kneeling over him with one leg, and leaned in close to his ear: “Didn’t you want to do that?”
“Ah…” Xie Fengqing’s eyes widened. “I… I really didn’t!”
Gu Siyuan’s large hand pressed lightly against his spine: “Be an honest, good boy.”
As soon as he finished speaking, Xie Fengqing felt a sudden coolness against his skin.
“Mmph…”
A short while later, Xie Fengqing clutched the quilt tightly with both hands, the corners of his eyes flushed red, tears shimmering.
Heaven forgive me, I truly didn’t mean that.
We just did it yesterday! I feel like I’m going to break!
While the two of them were being sickeningly sweet over here…
The fans in the live stream—who had just received massive red envelopes but were abruptly abandoned halfway through—could no longer bear the loneliness. Especially their CP shippers.
What is the first thing you do when shipping a CP? Open a ‘Super Topic’ (fan forum) for them on Weibo, of course!
[Holy crap, celebration money! Handsome Gu said this was celebration money! I can’t believe there came a day when I actually received wedding money from the actual couple!]
[Other people spend money to ship CPs and chase stars. I actually GET paid!]
[Even shipping real couples in the entertainment industry has never been this satisfying. The perks and fan-spoiling are absolutely insane!]
Meanwhile, certain major marketing accounts on Weibo couldn’t sit still either.
The day before yesterday, the ‘Hero Saving the Beauty’ video with millions of likes had already sparked a small wave of popularity. The very next day, a million RMB in red envelopes was casually tossed out in a live stream. Add to that the fact that both parties involved had absolute top-tier looks… this naturally constituted a highly buzzing, traffic-generating event.
Very quickly, those marketing accounts that usually only re-posted celebrity gossip seized the opportunity to join the fun.
Due to this widespread reach, the CP Super Topic attracted even more fans.
Real couples in the entertainment industry were bound by countless restrictions and never dared to be too open. But this Handsome Gu and Beauty Xie had looks surpassing those in the entertainment circle, yet they flirted and flexed however they pleased. It was beyond blissful.
And so, overnight, the two of them unexpectedly became the platform’s new traffic code.
But as the saying goes, ‘extreme popularity breeds extreme hate.’
There are many people in this world who can’t stand seeing others do well. Consequently, quite a few anti-fans emerged. At first, they just cynically mocked it as a publicity stunt by ordinary people trying to grab attention, or criticized their appearances, claiming they actually looked quite average.
Eventually, after getting into a massive argument with the CP shippers…
Someone took the lead and actually opened an Anti-Fan Super Topic, gathering a group to dig up dirt and analyze the two of them.
Monday morning, 8:30 AM.
Gu Siyuan stood by the bed, reminding the lump curled up under the quilt: “I have to go to the company today. You happen to have a class at 10 AM. Do you want to catch a ride with me to school?”
The person under the quilt wiggled like a caterpillar, and the top of a messy, dark head slowly poked out.
Xie Fengqing opened his bleary, sleepy eyes: “No… let me sleep a little longer…”
These past two days had truly been a burden of happiness. The problem was that his entire body was wrecked.
Gu Siyuan nodded: “Then make sure you don’t oversleep.”
“Okay…” Xie Fengqing hummed softly.
Gu Siyuan walked out of the bedroom. An assistant was already waiting outside.
“President Gu…”
Xie Fengqing was dozing in bed when he suddenly heard an unfamiliar voice coming from the living room. It belonged to a young man, and it actually sounded quite nice.
More importantly, it carried a faint, almost imperceptible trace of affection.
His eyes snapped open. He threw off the quilt and bounded out of bed.
In the living room.
Gu Siyuan was speaking with his assistant.
He had three assistants in total, and this one was the youngest, having graduated from college just over a year ago. Therefore, trivial tasks that required coming to the apartment were usually handled by him.
The young assistant stared unblinkingly at Gu Siyuan the entire time, his eyes filled with adoration and admiration.
This young man, who is even younger than me, is so powerful it’s impossible not to be moved by him.
However, halfway through his sentence, a slight sound came from behind.
The assistant couldn’t help but blink.
Gu Siyuan turned around, only to see Xie Fengqing, sporting a messy bedhead and standing barefoot in the bedroom doorway.
He raised a hand, signaling the assistant: “Wait a moment.”
The assistant nodded slightly: “Understood…”
Gu Siyuan took long strides over to Xie Fengqing’s side, his voice cold: “Why did you get up again? And why aren’t you wearing shoes?”
Xie Fengqing cast a glance at the assistant. He does actually look quite delicate and pretty.
He looked up at Gu Siyuan, spread his arms wide, and said softly, “I forgot.”
“How can you forget to wear shoes?” Gu Siyuan frowned and scolded him.
However, his hands naturally swept the person up into his arms, taking large strides to deposit him onto the sofa.
Xie Fengqing puffed his cheeks, gave him a light kiss, and acted spoiled: “Well, I just forgot!”
Gu Siyuan pinched his cheek, went back into the bedroom to retrieve his slippers, and tossed them at his feet: “Since you’re already up, go wash up and eat breakfast. You can leave with me, it’ll save you from having to call a cab later.”
Xie Fengqing nodded sweetly: “Okay, I’ll listen to whatever hubby says.”
Hearing this form of address, Gu Siyuan froze for a second.
In the next instant, he reached out, scooped the person back up into his arms, and said with a cold face: “To save time, I’ll carry you to the bathroom.”
“Okay, hubby is so good to me,” Xie Fengqing said with a beaming smile.
Gu Siyuan shot him a look, then turned back to the assistant: “Sit for a moment. Push my start time back by twenty minutes, and notify the driver.”
“Understood.” The young assistant stared at their retreating backs, feeling slightly petrified.
Who would have thought that the ruthless, dominating President Gu actually preferred this kind of delicate little wife? And that he was actually this pampering?!
His young, eager heart couldn’t help but feel a surge of competitiveness, yet simultaneously, a deep sense of sour bitterness.
Although Xie Fengqing was refined, he was a man after all, so his movements were quite fast. In less than ten minutes, he had finished washing up, changed his clothes, and walked out to sit at the dining table.
On the table sat warm milk, sandwiches, soup dumplings (xiaolongbao), and pan-fried dumplings—a mix of Chinese and Western cuisine, providing everything one could want.
Xie Fengqing looked at the person sitting opposite him drinking tea, intentionally asking: “Hubby, did you make this?”
Gu Siyuan was gradually getting used to being called ‘hubby’. He set down his cup: “I made the sandwiches. I bought the soup dumplings and pan-fried dumplings downstairs after my morning run.”
Xie Fengqing immediately picked up a sandwich and took a bite.
Then, he genuinely gave a thumbs up: “Hubby, you are truly a man of many talents. Even your sandwiches are so delicious.”
Gu Siyuan cast a glance at him, didn’t say anything, and lowered his head to read the news on his phone.
Not discouraged in the slightest, Xie Fengqing continued enthusiastically: “Hubby, the fried egg in this sandwich is so good. It’s so tender and sweet. Will you make it for me again in the future?”
Gu Siyuan didn’t even look up: “I can.”
Xie Fengqing immediately said loudly: “Thank you hubby, you’re the best!”
Sitting on the sidelines waiting, the assistant couldn’t help but glance at the sandwich.
So President Gu’s cooking skills are this good too?
At that exact moment, his eyes met Xie Fengqing’s. Xie Fengqing flashed him a bright, brilliant smile, and then blinked.
The assistant froze.
President Gu’s partner… truly is exceptionally beautiful.
In the next second, Xie Fengqing had already turned his head back, continuing to act spoiled toward Gu Siyuan: “Hubby, darling, next time you wake up, wake me up too! I can make breakfast with you…”
Gu Siyuan finally looked up at him, a hidden depth in his eyes: “You are too tired at night. You won’t be able to get up.”
“…” Xie Fengqing.
His cheeks instantly flushed crimson. I didn’t expect my hubby to be so smooth!
He deliberately made his voice sickly-sweet: “Oh my, hubby, there’s someone else here. What kind of things are you saying?”
Gu Siyuan’s eyes narrowed slightly. He didn’t speak again, returning to his news.
Xie Fengqing finished the sandwich and started on the soup dumplings, popping them into his mouth one by one.
He licked his red lips: “Hubby, you picked these soup dumplings perfectly. The size is just right…”
Gu Siyuan glanced at him and reached out to pour himself another cup of tea.
For some reason, the assistant sitting nearby felt his own face burning red.
Xie Fengqing popped a pan-fried dumpling into his mouth next, mumbling: “Hubby, the pan-fried dumplings are good too. They’re so crispy.”
Gu Siyuan nodded: “If you like them, I’ll buy them again next time.”
Xie Fengqing agreed with a cheeky grin, then looked at the person opposite him and suddenly said, “Hubby, your tie looks really nice today. I absolutely love this shade of blue. I actually have a hoodie in this exact color. I’ll change into it before I go to school later. That way, anyone who sees us will instantly know we’re a couple.”
Gu Siyuan was thoroughly amused by him and completely gave up on reading the news.
Looking at his glossy, oily lips, he reached out, grabbed a tissue, and gently wiped the soft cheeks, saying flatly: “Alright. Eat properly for now. From now on, all my ties will be coordinated to match the color of your clothes.”
“…Mm.” Xie Fengqing nodded heavily, feeling completely satisfied.
Hmph, otherwise, with my boyfriend and this assistant both wearing suits, I would be the one looking out of place!
By the time Xie Fengqing finished breakfast and the two of them got into the car, it was already past 9:00 AM.
However, Gu Siyuan was the boss; no one dared reprimand him for being late.
The apartment wasn’t far from N University, only about a fifteen-minute drive.
As they neared the campus gates, Xie Fengqing was still lounging against Gu Siyuan in the backseat, acting spoiled: “President Gu, how many days has it been since you attended class at school?”
Gu Siyuan replied: “Forty-seven days.”
Xie Fengqing: “This semester is almost over. Are you planning to transition straight into your graduation internship?”
Gu Siyuan nodded: “That is my exact intention.”
Xie Fengqing looked up at him, asking deliberately: “Hmm. By the way, which company do you think I should intern at?”
Gu Siyuan pinched his chin, saying coldly, “Is that even something you need to consider?”
Xie Fengqing blinked: “Why does President Gu say that?”
Gu Siyuan’s grip tightened slightly, his expression stern: “Guess.”
“Haha…” Xie Fengqing burst into laughter. His pale, slender arms wrapped around Gu Siyuan’s neck: “Of course I have to go to my hubby’s company.”
Gu Siyuan remained silent, his expression as cold as ever.
Xie Fengqing peeked at him secretly, tilted his delicate chin up, leaned close to his ear, and whispered: “Then I’ll have to ask President Gu for a lot of guidance. I wonder if President Gu has any interest in developing an office romance? Is President Gu’s office big enough? Is it soundproof…?”
The arms wrapped around him tightened slightly.
His mission target and boyfriend truly was an enchanting little demon.
However…
Who said that suggestion wasn’t worth considering…?
Sitting in the passenger seat, the assistant couldn’t hear exactly what the two were whispering about. But looking through the rearview mirror at their inseparable, intimate posture, he couldn’t help but feel completely devoid of hope.
From now on, I should just purely admire President Gu as my boss or an idol.
Upon arriving at the school gates, Xie Fengqing hopped out of the car, feeling refreshed and energetic.
Gu Siyuan also got out to see him off.
However, before the two even had time to say their goodbyes, a rather familiar voice called out from nearby: “Siyuan?”
Xie Fengqing looked up. Sure enough, it was that b*tch Qi Yue. Who knows what he was doing at their school this early in the morning. At this very moment, he was taking large strides toward them.
Xie Fengqing pouted unhappily.
Hmph, why do I have so many rivals in love? It’s all because my boyfriend is too attractive.
He immediately turned his head, huffing angrily at Gu Siyuan: “Hubby, you’re already late for work! What are you doing wasting time standing here?”
The corners of Gu Siyuan’s lips curled up, his voice deep and magnetic: “Standing here… dropping my boyfriend off at school, of course.”
A rush of sweetness flooded Xie Fengqing’s heart, though his expression remained reserved and composed: “Alright, dropping me off here is enough. Get in the car and go to the company. A man needs to focus on his work.”
Suppressing a smile, Gu Siyuan nodded: “Classmate Xie makes a very reasonable point.”
However, just as he turned to get back into the car, his trench coat sleeve was yanked again.
Gu Siyuan raised a sword-like eyebrow: “Does Classmate Xie have any further instructions?”
“You’ve blacklisted all of Qi Yue’s contact information, right? You are not allowed to have any contact with him from now on.” Xie Fengqing puffed his cheeks, thought for a moment, and added, “Not just Qi Yue! Anyone else with ulterior motives too! Otherwise I will…”
Pinching his cheek, Gu Siyuan was in a rare mood to tease: “Otherwise you’ll what? Forbid me from getting into bed for ten days?”
Xie Fengqing’s eyes instantly widened. He raged: “What?! You dare go ten days without getting into my bed?! Gu Siyuan, is your old habit acting up again?! Who have you set your sights on now?!”
