FI CH42: The Fifth Client
Meanwhile, Lin Su had just put his phone away and was walking into the house.
Zhu Jianfei’s villa was three stories high, with a lawn in front of the house. Upon entering the house, one side of the living room was a large window facing a glass house on the lawn.
A large flower basket hung in the glass house, with many plants planted in it.
It was said to be for viewing, but such a glass house built in the center of the lawn was really a bit abrupt.
Lin Su turned his head and glanced at it: “To neutralize the negative energy.”
Xuenima looked around: [The layout of this house is quite good, where is the negative energy coming from?]
Lin Su didn’t speak.
Just as he was about to continue looking, Zhu Jianfei came over with a glass of water. A smile was plastered on his face, and his other hand was raised, as if preparing to put it on him:
“Here, have some water first.”
Lin Su glanced at it, and said pointedly, “My hands are often unsteady with water, you know.”
Zhu Jianfei’s movement stiffened, and a sticky, damp feeling instantly welled up. His smile almost failed to stay on. After a pause, he embarrassedly placed the water to the side.
Lin Su walked past him and continued to walk around the room.
After a few seconds, the voice from behind seemed unable to hold back anymore:
“Aren’t you a student, how are you also doing this kind of work? At such a young age, can you see things like magnetic fields…”
Without turning his head, Lin Su said, “As long as I’m not disturbed by dirty things.”
“What dirty things?”
Zhu Jianfei looked around for a couple of rounds, then suddenly reacted, his face changing. “…You son of a—” With no outsiders around, he rushed forward a few steps, about to reach out.
A voice suddenly came from the top of the stairs:
“What’s going on here?”
Zhu Jianfei stopped abruptly.
Lin Su looked up, following the voice, and saw a woman in her thirties or forties standing at the top of the stairs. Her hair was tied back, and she wore a plain linen dress, her temperament light and gentle.
Fang Shuyu looked at Zhu Jianfei, somewhat mockingly, “Started looking for people outside again?”
A trace of unnaturalness flashed across Zhu Jianfei’s face, and he gave an embarrassed smile, “How could I? This is a feng shui master I invited to look at the feng shui.”
As soon as he finished speaking, Fang Shuyu, who had been relatively calm, suddenly clenched her hand. The knuckles on the back of her thin hand protruded, but only for a moment, before she忍耐地 unclasped her hand.
Fang Shuyu’s voice was very soft, “Is that so? I came out and saw you were about to grab someone’s shoulder.”
Zhu Jianfei gave a dry laugh twice. “No, I wasn’t.”
Having been interrupted, his attempt to get physical was also cut off, and he could only retreat to the side and endure it.
Lin Su looked up at Fang Shuyu above.
Their eyes met, but he saw the other person give him a slight nod, with no ill will.
He paused slightly, and nodded back.
Retracting his gaze, Lin Su didn’t miss the fleeting expression on Fang Shuyu’s face just now. Xuenima landed on his shoulder, contemplating:
[Was she deliberately interrupting to help you?]
Lin Su’s fingertips tapped lightly on his arm. “Yes.”
Xuenima pondered: [I feel like the atmosphere in this house is a bit subtle, like…]
He nodded. “An undercurrent of turmoil.”
Without the interference of dirty things.
Lin Su walked around the entire villa. He could tell that Zhu Jianfei had put a lot of effort into the feng shui. Not only were there various objects for generating wealth, but the scrolls hanging on the walls were also very expensive.
The feng shui of the entire house had been repeatedly adjusted.
It was just…
Lin Su returned to the living room and said to Zhu Jianfei, who was sitting on the sofa, “Is there something unclean in your house?”
He added meticulously, “Besides you.”
“You—”
Just as Zhu Jianfei was about to flare up, he suddenly remembered something, and his words stopped abruptly. The look in his eyes towards Lin Su changed from frivolous to somewhat grave. “…What nonsense are you talking about.”
Lin Su’s eyebrows raised slightly, a smile that wasn’t quite a smile on his face.
He was standing right in the center of the living room, half a step behind the coffee table.
Zhu Jianfei looked at where he was standing, his heart in his throat, and a cold sweat inexplicably broke out. Then, with a hint of a threat, he said:
“You just do the changing, don’t mind anything else, understand?”
Lin Su paused for two seconds. “Alright.”
Seeing him compromise so easily, Zhu Jianfei couldn’t help but feel secretly pleased: He’s still just a student, only tough with his words. Now that he’s the contractor, he’ll do whatever I say.
After Lin Su finished speaking, his robes fluttered, and a bamboo brush appeared in his hand. He turned his head.
His attitude said it all.
The things he needed to confirm were seventy to eighty percent confirmed. He could now go all out without any worries.
His figure gracefully left the living room.
Xuenima hummed: [You didn’t even retort just now?]
“The client’s request, of course, must be fulfilled to the best of my ability.”
As Lin Su spoke, he made a stroke with his brush at every spot in the house where the feng shui had been altered. He was diligent and conscientious, not missing a single one. “He said to change the feng shui, but he didn’t say in which direction to change it—”
“So I’ll just use my creative freedom.”
Xuenima was enlightened and said happily: [Heh heh heh heh heh…]
…
The three-story detached villa had many alterations inside and out. Including the various additions, there were fifty to sixty spots in total.
Lin Su made a stroke at each one.
He admired, “Look at this area, is it enough for me to start a tsunami?”
Xuenima: [It’s enough for you to trigger a geomagnetic storm.]
Lin Su satisfactorily retracted his brush.
He turned and went back to the living room. Zhu Jianfei was still sitting on the sofa with his legs crossed, looking at his phone. Seeing him return, he sized him up and asked:
“All changed?”
Lin Su smiled slightly. “All changed.”
As he spoke, he suddenly pulled out a small wooden box from behind him, with half of it hanging over the edge of the coffee table.
Zhu Jianfei sat up at once. “What is this for?”
“I told you, your house is not clean.”
Lin Su stood up and looked at him. “The negative energy is too heavy, it’s useless no matter how you change it. Unless you kowtow towards this place. You must kowtow until you hear a sound from inside the box. Only when the box falls from the edge will the negative energy be resolved.”
Zhu Jianfei shot up to his feet. “How can you kowtow a sound out of a box! And how long would that take?”
Lin Su sighed, “If you don’t want to resolve it, I can’t do anything about it.”
“…”
The living room was quiet for several seconds.
Zhu Jianfei’s expression was uncertain, as if he had been deliberating for a long time. He glanced under the coffee table again. Finally, he walked over, knelt down with a “thud,” and tentatively kowtowed once.
A sound suddenly came from the box above, dong.
It was a very light sound, as if something had sprung.
Zhu Jianfei’s face instantly turned pale. He was completely convinced and hurriedly kowtowed towards it with a series of dong dong dong.
Behind the staircase, a figure swayed slightly.
After a long moment, it turned and disappeared behind the stairs.
…
While Zhu Jianfei was kowtowing here.
Lin Su only watched for a few moments, then, not wanting to watch any longer, turned and went to the side hall.
Xuenima said in a small voice: [Am I being crude? How come I didn’t know this could resolve negative energy.]
“…The word you’re looking for should be ‘shallow’.”
Lin Su debugged it, then said, “Of course it can’t. I just said it casually.”
[…Huh?]
He lowered his eyelashes, a hint of coldness in his eyes. “As for the kowtowing, he deserves it.”
His shoulder was silent for two seconds: […Can the box fall on its own?]
“The wooden floor is quite loose. The vibrations from the movement… it probably can.” Lin Su shifted his gaze slightly. “If it can’t, I can’t do anything about it either.”
Xuenima let out another string of happy “heh heh heh”…
…
The side hall they were standing in was connected to a corridor.
On the side were large glass windows. Sunlight streamed in from outside, casting a cut of light at the corner.
As Lin Su was looking out the window, a slightly trembling voice came from behind him, “Little Mister.”
He turned and saw Fang Shuyu walking out of the corridor entrance. The shadow was behind her, and light fell into her eyes. Her hands were clenched tightly, tears welling in her eyes.
“I saw everything, in the living room… is it? Do you know something?”
Lin Su paused for a moment. “Yes.”
Fang Shuyu seemed to let out a breath of relief.
She looked at him steadily, her previously meek mask shed, revealing a touch of resilience from beneath her fragile appearance, her teary eyes containing a firm and intense hatred:
“I know you are a very powerful master. Can I commission you?”
“I must get my revenge on him.”
Leaving the villa, it was already past 4 PM.
As Lin Su was leaving, Zhu Jianfei, with a bruised forehead, still wanted to ask for his contact information.
He, “Burn paper if you have business, court is dismissed if not. For after-sales service, find the Association; there are no private channels.”
“…” Zhu Jianfei.
After speaking, Lin Su left the villa.
The door closed behind him. After leaving the courtyard, he took out his phone and glanced at it. The lock screen was the WeiXin interface, the conversation still where it was hours ago.
“Why didn’t Xiao He reply to me?”
Lin Su lamented, “He’s not being proactive again.”
Xuenima looked askance: [Heh, how long has it been since he replied. You’re not so composed anymore either.]
“…”
“What nonsense. Time to get to business.”
As he spoke, he exited WeiXin and opened the order-taking page, where the top displayed:
[Client: Fang Shuyu]
[Identity: General Manager of Linshi Jianda Group, 37 years old]
[Status: Accepted]
Xuenima leaned closer: [You accepted it just like that? You haven’t even listened to her revenge plan.]
“Because it feels like paid content.”
The one in front choked for a moment.
Lin Su said softly, “Just kidding, silly.” He turned off his phone. “After all, plans can’t keep up with changes. And Zhu Jianren’s changes are coming soon.”
After he finished speaking, he raised his hand and took off the tassel earring.
The surging psychic power was instantly unshackled—
And circulated within his body.
All the altered feng shui, the enchanted talismans, the gathered luck, were all pulled by a force at this moment. In the huge villa behind him, silently, yet cataclysmically.
Lin Su’s black robe fluttered, the gold threads seemingly alive.
If psychic power had substance, at this moment one could see thousands of golden lights pulling and shuttling, slowly diminishing amidst the tremors…
After a moment, Lin Su finally stopped.
He hung the tassel on his collar and took a moment to recover.
Having used too much psychic power at once, he now felt like he had low blood sugar, suddenly standing up after lying down for a long time. He was a bit dizzy and weak. But there was also a feeling of exhilarating release.
Xuenima held him by the back of his collar: […How do you feel?]
“Happy.”
[…]
Heh heh, it should have known.
This was a villa area, so it was hard to get a taxi.
Lin Su simply let the Xuenima carry him, slowly moving down the slope towards the outside.
The bright sun fell from above.
Xuenima reminded: [Do you still remember that Xiao He might have a strong reaction?]
Lin Su’s eyes sparkled. “Of course, that’s why I tried changing one per second, one per second…”
Its claws loosened, almost failing to hold him steady.
Xuenima’s face paled: [You… have big guts!]
Lin Su closed his eyes peacefully. “It’s just a ‘possibility’, what’s the panic. We’ll deal with later things later. At least for now it’s very fa…”
Halfway through his words, a “screech!” suddenly came from behind.
Then its claws loosened in shock.
Before Lin Su could react, he fell forward. The moment he opened his eyes, he fell into a shadow, and at the same time, he leaned against a shoulder with a “thud”.
A hand supported his waist from behind.
He looked up and met He Zhenling’s lowered eyes.
His features were deep and handsome, his eyelashes lowered. His chest suddenly pressed against a hard object, and a faint cluster of undispersed electricity shot through.
Lin Su went numb. “He…”
Just as he opened his mouth, a hand took the tassel earring from his collar. Then, the pad of a finger pressed against his cool earlobe and pierced it in.
He let out a muffled groan. “…Mmph.”
A sentence fell from above, “What waves are you making.” (浪什麽)
Author’s Note:
Su: Ah, I’m numb from the electricity (burying myself—
He Zhenling: …Heh.
