ASPWL Ch68: Love-Hate Relationship
Zhang Qiran’s words were simply earth-shattering, loud and clear.
For a long period, the restaurant was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
But the live stream was like cold water poured into a pot of hot oil—it exploded.
The screen was filled with question marks and exclamation points, along with meaningless “ah” sounds everywhere.
—“Wait, what’s going on here?”
—“Did Zhang Qiran just say he won’t like Song Zhehan anymore? He said that, right? I didn’t hear wrong, did I?”
—“Yes… you didn’t hear wrong.”
—“But aren’t they rivals?”
—“Don’t they frequently release negative news about each other?”
—“Could Zhang Qiran really fall for Song Zhehan?”
—“I don’t understand my native language anymore.”
—“Feels like someone’s stolen my brain, babbling nonsense…”
—“So Song Zhehan and Zhang Qiran are secretly playing a love-hate relationship behind their fans’ backs and everyone else?”
Zhang Qiran’s fans were instantly unsettled:
—“No way, right?”
—“If they’re in a love-hate relationship, what are we?”
—“Hahahahahahaha, are you going to tell me Batman found a group of Jokers here? Hahaha, get out!”
Compared to the intense reactions from Zhang Qiran’s fans, Song Zhehan’s fans were notably silent.
A nosy viewer couldn’t hold back and asked aloud: “Aren’t you guys from Song Zhehan’s fanbase going to say anything?”
Song Zhehan’s fans:
—“What should we say?”
—“What’s there to say?”
—“Haven’t we told you already? If Teacher Gou Shi gets into trouble, he should deal with it himself, right?”
—“Yes, yes, the main person involved should handle this mess.”
—“Exactly! We trust that Teacher Gou Shi has the ability to clean up this mess.”
—”Leave it to Teacher Gou Shi!”
Anyway, their fans weren’t going to get involved, nor could they, so this matter was left entirely for Song Zhehan to handle himself!
The fans would just sit back and enjoy the drama!
Heh heh.
Zhang Qiran’s fans were almost laughing out of frustration at Song Zhehan’s fans, but no matter what they said, Song Zhehan’s fans remained silent.
Other viewers couldn’t help but join in, and the discussion grew more and more heated.
In the restaurant, Zhang Qiran, overwhelmed with emotion, suddenly lost his footing and stumbled backward.
Zhou Zijian quickly stood up and supported him: “Are you okay?”
As soon as he spoke, the tense atmosphere in the restaurant loosened for a moment.
Ye Leyao had been watching Song Zhehan the whole time. Seeing the change in Song Zhehan’s expression, he couldn’t help but smile.
[Who would’ve thought, really didn’t expect that I’d one day see such a shocked expression on Song Zhehan’s face.]
Of course, Ye Leyao wasn’t the only one watching Song Zhehan; all the other guests couldn’t resist turning their eyes to him.
They glanced at Song Zhehan, then quickly shifted their gaze to Zhang Qiran.
Zhang Qiran looked like nothing more than a drunkard.
All his emotions were written plainly on his face. His eyes were as red as a rabbit’s, tears streaming down uncontrollably. Anyone could see that he was heartbroken.
Even Xia Yang and Qian Yue, who had just broken up, didn’t react as dramatically as Zhang Qiran.
As for Song Zhehan, he still sat upright in his seat, but the hand he had placed on the table first clenched and then quickly relaxed. His normally composed brows were tightly furrowed, and for once, he forgot to hide his expression. His fox-like eyes were full of shock as he looked across the table at Zhang Qiran, puzzled.
It took nearly half a minute after Zhou Zijian spoke for Song Zhehan to finally frown and say, “Zhang Qiran, did you drink so much you lost your mind?”
Zhang Qiran, who had been helped back into his chair by Zhou Zijian, immediately turned his head at those words, reacting fiercely. His voice was filled with anger, though it couldn’t hide the sobs: “You’re the one who’s lost your mind! I have a brain!”
That was obviously drunken nonsense.
Song Zhehan’s tightly furrowed brows finally relaxed a bit. He slowly leaned back, his previously straight posture loosening slightly, and a faint smile tugged at his lips: “If you had a brain, how could you say something like this? We didn’t even know each other before. Did you mistake me for someone else…?”
“I’d recognize you even if you turned to ashes!” Zhang Qiran interrupted without thinking, his swollen, rabbit-red eyes glaring at him, though he quickly averted his gaze as soon as Song Zhehan looked back.
Li Siyuan’s lips slowly curled upward. He suddenly turned his head to Song Zhehan and said, “Even though Xiao Zhang is drunk, it doesn’t seem like he’s mistaking the person.”
Song Zhehan’s expression instantly turned cold, and his eyes, sharp as ice, swept toward Li Siyuan as he spoke in a chilling tone: “What do you mean? Are you suggesting that I started something with him and then abandoned him?”
Li Siyuan quickly waved his hand: “Hey, hey, hey, I never said that. You said it yourself.”
After saying this, he chuckled as if enjoying the spectacle.
Song Zhehan’s entire demeanor turned icy.
But Li Siyuan acted as if nothing was wrong. He casually poured himself a glass of wine, happily drinking half of it, and then, still smiling, turned to Ye Leyao and said, “Look at him. Doesn’t he seem like someone who just got a lung punctured? I’ve never seen him this angry before!”
Ye Leyao coughed twice and lowered his voice: “You should stop talking.”
[Song Zhehan is clearly furious.]
[Provoking him—what good does that do for us?]
[Besides, I genuinely want to know what happened between him and Zhang Qiran, but… judging by Song Zhehan’s expression, does he really not remember Zhang Qiran?]
[Could there be some clichéd amnesia plotline in the middle of all this?]
Huo Yan glanced at Zhang Qiran, who was sitting beside him, still glaring angrily at Song Zhehan. But Song Zhehan, feeling irritated, had long since averted his gaze.
Receiving no response for a long time, Zhang Qiran’s eyes grew even redder.
After a moment, he suddenly lowered his head.
As he did so, Huo Yan, sitting next to him, clearly saw two teardrops fall from his eyes.
Huo Yan: “…”
This heartbroken expression—anyone who saw it couldn’t help but wonder what was going on!
So, what was the deal?
Huo Yan glanced over at Ye Leyao.
Ye Leyao was still staring at Song Zhehan.
After thinking for a moment, Ye Leyao found a way to break the silence and asked: “I heard Zhang Qiran say earlier that he sent you a cake. Do you like cake?”
Song Zhehan was in a terrible mood at this point, looking as though anyone who spoke would be on the receiving end of his wrath.
But seeing that it was Ye Leyao speaking, despite his sour mood, Song Zhehan didn’t lash out. Instead, in an irritated tone, he replied: “No, don’t you love gossip? You should know I’m allergic to milk. I’ve only had cake twice in my life, and the last time was in middle school when a junior sent me a goat milk cake…”
Song Zhehan’s words suddenly trailed off.
Ye Leyao’s eyes widened.
[There it is!]
[The clue has appeared!]
Song Zhehan slightly tilted his head and happened to meet Ye Leyao’s wide-eyed gaze.
Qin Yao and Huo Yan simultaneously turned their attention to the two of them.
A clue?
Did Song Zhehan remember something, or had Ye Leyao figured something out?
After a brief moment of eye contact, Song Zhehan suddenly looked up at the other side of the table.
Zhang Qiran was genuinely feeling aggrieved; his head bowed, crying so hard that his shoulders trembled. As he cried, he mumbled, “Song Zhehan is such a jerk… he’s really too much!”
“I… sob… he’s just a bastard sob sob…”
Zhou Zijian and Wen Xiangyue stood on either side of him, both looking completely at a loss.
“How about we contact his agent?” Qian Yue couldn’t help but suggest.
Upon hearing this, Zhang Qiran immediately lifted his head: “No need! I’ll just cry… I’ll just cry for a bit, and I’ll be fine, no need to bother the agent. If I contact him again, he’ll get mad… sob sob sob.”
Even while drunk, he still knew not to upset his agent.
But even if they didn’t contact Zhang Qiran’s agent, it’s likely that before long, his agent would reach out on their own, maybe even rush straight to the filming location.
Taking advantage of the moment when Song Zhehan’s attention was elsewhere, Ye Leyao quickly took out his phone.
[Middle school… middle school, Song Zhehan’s middle school storyline…]
[Ah, found it!]
Huo Yan’s eyes lit up instantly.
Hurry, hurry!
He was already too eager to know!
Ye Leyao skimmed through the plot quickly, feeling more and more amazed the more he read.
[So that’s it. No wonder Song Zhehan said he didn’t recognize Zhang Qiran!]
[Back in middle school, although Zhang Qiran was friends with Song Zhehan, he looked completely different from how he does now! Zhang Qiran was a chubby kid with big eyes back then, but now… he’s a tall, handsome guy in the entertainment industry, standing at 1.8 meters. More importantly, he didn’t even go by the name Zhang Qiran back then—he was called Xiang Yang.]
[Two big differences… So it’s not surprising that Song Zhehan didn’t recognize him.]
So how exactly did they meet?
Ye Leyao continued scrolling through the story, and suddenly a smile crept onto his face.
[Haha, no wonder Zhang Qiran has been holding onto memories of Song Zhehan for so many years. Turns out, back in middle school, Song Zhehan played the hero, saving the damsel in distress.]
[In middle school, Zhang Qiran’s parents had just divorced. With his health issues, medications, and emotional stress, his weight shot up. Because of his weight, Zhang Qiran became sensitive and self-conscious, and was bullied by many of his classmates.]
[One time, when he was cornered in the restroom by some classmates, Song Zhehan happened to come in. From then on, Song Zhehan had a little chubby follower trailing behind him.]
Upon hearing this, Huo Yan suddenly understood.
A middle school junior from the same school who changed his name and appearance over the years—no wonder Song Zhehan didn’t recognize him right away. Huo Yan probably wouldn’t either.
But—
Even if Song Zhehan didn’t recognize Zhang Qiran at first, why didn’t Zhang Qiran explain?
Qin Yao had the same question and couldn’t help but glance at Song Zhehan.
Song Zhehan’s brow was furrowed, and his gaze was still on Zhang Qiran, as if he were deep in thought.
Ye Leyao continued reading.
[Back then, Zhang Qiran was sensitive, and because of that, he had a sharp sense of others’ emotions. Once he realized that Song Zhehan was a cold-faced but warm-hearted person, he started sticking to him constantly. Soon, they became good friends. But it didn’t last long…]
[Not long after, Zhang Qiran’s father passed away from an illness, and he was taken back to live with his mother. Naturally, he transferred schools, and lost contact with Song Zhehan.]
[Until a year ago, when Song Zhehan made his debut…]
[So Zhang Qiran has been quietly harboring feelings for all these years?!]
The story ended there.
Ye Leyao put away his phone and looked up at Song Zhehan, just in time to see him push his chair back and stand up.
As soon as he stood, all eyes in the room were on him.
They watched as Song Zhehan picked up his glass of wine and slowly walked toward Zhang Qiran.
Li Siyuan was stunned and quickly leaned over to Ye Leyao: “What’s he trying to do? Is he about to go over and punch him?”
Thinking of the sentence Song Zhehan hadn’t finished earlier, Ye Leyao shook his head: “No, I think he’s recognized an old friend.”
Li Siyuan’s eyes brightened: “So they really knew each other before? Come on, tell me the story!”
Ye Leyao: “…How would I know? I just thought that unfinished sentence from Song Zhehan was interesting.”
Li Siyuan didn’t believe him: “Just whisper it to me.”
Ye Leyao patted his shoulder and put a finger to his lips: “Shh, don’t talk anymore. ‘Teacher Gou Shi’ has reached Zhang Qiran.”
Now not only did Li Siyuan go quiet, but everyone in the room fell silent. All eyes were on Zhang Qiran and Song Zhehan, patiently waiting.
Song Zhehan seemed to have regained his usual calm and relaxed demeanor, his posture and expression easygoing. He smiled lightly at Zhou Zijian: “Zhou-ge, mind swapping seats with me for a bit?”
Zhou Zijian was easygoing and obligingly gave up his seat, quickly sitting down next to Ye Leyao.
This seat was also a good spot to watch the drama unfold!
The restaurant was so quiet you could only hear Zhang Qiran occasionally sniffling.
After sitting down, Song Zhehan didn’t say anything right away. Instead, he placed his wine glass on the table, picked up a bottle of wine, poured himself a glass, and took a small sip.
Zhang Qiran had been crying for a while with his head down, and perhaps feeling a bit stifled, he finally lifted his head.
As soon as he did, he noticed that the person next to him had changed.
Startled, Zhang Qiran’s body trembled slightly, but he quickly reacted and glared at Song Zhehan with his red, swollen eyes, pretending to be fierce: “Why are you here? Get away from me! I don’t want to see you right now!”
Song Zhehan’s lips curved slightly into a smile, and not only did he not move away, he even leaned forward a bit, resting his chin on his hand: “Weren’t you the one who said you wanted to drink with me? Now you’re backing out as soon as I come over?”
Zhang Qiran opened his mouth: “But… I… you…”
“What ‘but’?” Song Zhehan picked up Zhang Qiran’s wine glass and brought it to his lips, “Drink.”
Ye Leyao blinked.
[He’s really going to let him drink?]
[Zhang Qiran’s already drunk!]
Zhang Qiran lowered his head to look at the wine glass by his mouth, his lips moving slightly.
After a moment, he opened his lips.
A noticeable smile flickered in Song Zhehan’s eyes, but just then, he suddenly withdrew his hand and placed the wine glass back on the table.
Zhang Qiran froze.
It took him several seconds to snap out of it: “Song Zhehan, you—”
“You say you like me, yet your way of showing it is by going against me?” Song Zhehan suddenly interrupted Zhang Qiran coldly. He lifted his own wine glass again, took a sip, and all the humor disappeared from his face, leaving only a cold, frosty profile.
Zhang Qiran couldn’t stand it when Song Zhehan brought up this topic, and every time it was mentioned, his anger flared up uncontrollably: “When did I ever go against you? Wasn’t it you who threw away the medicine I gave you?!”
Ye Leyao’s expression shifted slightly.
[Medicine?]
Song Zhehan furrowed his brow and turned to look at him: “Medicine?”
Zhang Qiran’s eyes reddened again, looking as if he had suffered a great grievance. His voice was choked with sobs: “It was… during the first variety show we did together… We weren’t on the same team at the time. We were splashing water at each other on the stage. I didn’t mean to splash you. I was aiming for Lu Cheng behind you…”
Song Zhehan thought for a moment.
Ye Leyao had already found it:
[Got it, this was from a variety show eight months ago, Zhang Qiran’s debut appearance.]
Song Zhehan also remembered: “Something from eight months ago, and you still remember who was behind me?”
Zhang Qiran huffed: “Of course I remember. After all, Lu Cheng at that time…”
“What about him?” Song Zhehan raised an eyebrow.
Zhang Qiran pursed his lips and stopped talking.
But Ye Leyao had already found the edited cuts from the variety show, and his eyes lit up as he quickly handed his phone to Li Siyuan next to him.
Li Siyuan burst out laughing: “So Lu Cheng accidentally hugged Song Zhehan at that time?”
Song Zhehan’s expression changed slightly, and he looked at Zhang Qiran.
Zhang Qiran sat there, tears streaming down his face as he explained, “I didn’t want to splash you, but he was always behind you, and he… he even hugged you! I just wanted to splash his hand to make him let go of you… but I didn’t expect…”
[In the end, another guest bumped into Zhang Qiran’s hand, and that whole basin of ice water drenched Song Zhehan from head to toe.]
[So that’s where their grudge started!]
Zhang Qiran was still crying, turning his head away to avoid looking at Song Zhehan: “I didn’t mean it. After the show ended, I went out to buy you medicine. I ran all over the place and finally found a pharmacy far away. I didn’t dare give it to you myself, so I asked my assistant to bring it over… Afterward, I secretly went to check on you, but…”
At this point, Zhang Qiran got emotional again and turned back with reddened eyes, glaring at Song Zhehan: “But not only did you throw the medicine away, you even said out of all the guests, the one you disliked the most was me… I…”
Zhang Qiran couldn’t continue. He tried hard to suppress his emotions, but he couldn’t manage it.
Ye Leyao understood.
[In matters of love, unrequited feelings are always chaotic. Zhang Qiran’s sensitive nature only made it worse.]
[He finally mustered the courage to approach Song Zhehan, full of joy, but before he could properly introduce himself, he overheard that Song Zhehan disliked him the most.]
[Anyone would struggle to accept that. No wonder Zhang Qiran’s feelings turned into resentment!]
The restaurant fell into silence again.
Ye Leyao glanced at Song Zhehan, feeling anxious inside.
[So, “Teacher Gou Shi,” are you really not going to say anything?]
Just as Ye Leyao was debating whether to remind Song Zhehan, Huo Yan, who was sitting next to Zhang Qiran, suddenly pulled out a tissue and passed it around to Song Zhehan.
Song Zhehan glanced down, accepted it, and softly thanked him before handing the tissue to Zhang Qiran: “Stop crying.”
Zhang Qiran didn’t reach out and turned his head away again.
Song Zhehan, surprisingly patient, explained: “At the time, I didn’t recognize you. To me, you were just a stranger. Think about it—meeting a stranger for the first time, and they splash water all over you without any courtesy. Do you think I’d be nice to them?”
“And besides,” Song Zhehan dragged out his words, “because of you, I ended up sick after that show.”
Upon hearing this, Zhang Qiran suddenly paused his crying.
After a couple of seconds, he slowly turned his head: “Then… are you okay now?”
Ye Leyao couldn’t help but smile.
[Zhang Qiran, don’t fall for it too easily! Are you really pacified this quickly?]
Song Zhehan sighed: “Are you stupid? How long ago was that?”
Zhang Qiran hung his head: “Oh.”
“When did you recognize me?” Zhang Qiran asked.
Song Zhehan answered without a change in expression: “Just now.”
Zhang Qiran was shocked, his voice rising with excitement: “So all this time, you didn’t recognize me?”
Song Zhehan chuckled: “You changed your name, your surname, and even your face is much thinner than it used to be. How was I supposed to recognize you?”
Zhang Qiran sat there in a daze.
His alcohol-addled brain slowly began processing this information.
After thinking for a while, Zhang Qiran finally seemed to realize: “Oh, right… I guess I should’ve explained it to you at the time…”
Song Zhehan laughed in exasperation: “You’re still as dumb as you were in middle school.”
He handed the tissue over again, and this time Zhang Qiran took it, though carefully, gripping one end between two fingers and quickly pulling it into his hand.
“I’m not dumb,” Zhang Qiran muttered in a small voice.
Song Zhehan pretended not to hear, continuing, “Let’s keep talking.”
Zhang Qiran wiped the tears from his face. The alcohol had dulled his thinking, so he asked in confusion, “Talk about what?”
“Why did you follow the same public persona as me, stealing my endorsements and roles?” Song Zhehan picked up his wine glass, watching the bubbles inside disappear one by one. “Even though I didn’t recognize you, you knew who I was. So why did you still do it?”
Ye Leyao inhaled softly.
[It looks like Song Zhehan’s ready to settle accounts, one by one, with Zhang Qiran?]
Li Siyuan couldn’t help but click his tongue a few times, “He sure holds grudges.”
Zhang Qiran stared blankly at Song Zhehan.
Song Zhehan’s face showed no extra emotion, but Zhang Qiran could sharply sense that he was angry.
Unable to help it, Zhang Qiran shifted his chair, moving slightly away.
Just as he moved, Song Zhehan reached out, pressing down on the back of his chair, “Why are you avoiding me? Don’t you want to explain yourself?”
Zhang Qiran pursed his lips, his voice rough, “I… I want to explain, but I did steal your endorsements and roles, so there’s nothing more to say.”
Ye Leyao was left full of questions.
[Huh? You really did it on purpose?]
[Could it be you were trying to get Song Zhehan’s attention that way?]
[Probably not, Zhang Qiran doesn’t seem that immature.]
Song Zhehan was also infuriated by Zhang Qiran’s admission, his voice turning a bit cold, “Of course I know you took my roles and endorsements. I’m asking for the reason. We haven’t been in touch for years, but even back in middle school, you told me about your family situation. With your family background, there’s no need for you to compete with me for roles and endorsements in the entertainment industry, is there?”
Zhang Qiran hummed in response, hesitating for a moment before speaking, “I… I only took one of your roles. As for the endorsements, yes, there were two, but I didn’t really take the second one. We both competed for it, but you lost… And you haven’t lost every time! Recently, I couldn’t compete with you.”
“So what’s the reason for taking my roles and endorsements?” Song Zhehan pressed. “You still haven’t explained why. Or is it, as you said, you just wanted to take them? Because I didn’t recognize you, you bore a grudge? Or was it because I threw away your medicine and called you a copycat—”
“No!” Zhang Qiran hurriedly interrupted Song Zhehan. Something in those words seemed to have triggered him, and his eyes reddened again, tears welling up. “I didn’t want to steal your roles. It’s just… the female lead in that drama… I can’t talk about it… because our show hasn’t aired yet, and I don’t even know if it will. But since nothing’s happened yet, I…”
Ye Leyao couldn’t help but guess, “Could it be that the female lead in your upcoming drama has some kind of scandal, which is why you stepped in?”
Zhang Qiran, as if finding a savior, turned his head, tears streaming down as he nodded vigorously, “Yes, yes, yes… That’s it. I didn’t enter the industry for the money. Even if I waste some time, it doesn’t matter, so I stepped in.”
As he spoke, Zhang Qiran quickly glanced at Song Zhehan and quietly added, “And it’s not like I didn’t make it up to you. Didn’t you quickly land another role afterward? I asked the director to contact you!”
Ye Leyao covered his mouth.
[Zhang Qiran, what can I even say? You’re the ultimate love-struck fool! You’re even more infatuated than my second brother, and at least he never gave Su Rui any roles!]
Huo Yan: “…”
[Ye Leyao, will you ever stop with these constant interruptions?]
Ye Leyao had no idea what Huo Yan was thinking; his attention never left Song Zhehan.
Song Zhehan’s expression seemed unchanged, but his grip on the wine glass tightened slightly.
After a long pause, Song Zhehan finally spoke, “That endorsement you took—didn’t it soon get exposed for having food safety issues?”
Zhang Qiran let his tears fall silently, nodding, “Yeah, that’s why I didn’t sign with them in the end.”
“One last question,” Song Zhehan continued, “What’s the deal with the public persona and the smear campaign?”
Zhang Qiran had been silently crying, but at this question, he suddenly turned his head, and his tears flowed even harder. “So, in your heart, I’m still a copycat? You think my public persona is just a replica of yours, don’t you?”
Song Zhehan’s gaze briefly met Zhang Qiran’s eyes before shifting away. “At least, that’s how it seems to me.”
Zhang Qiran couldn’t hold it in anymore. He suddenly stood up, knocking over the bowls and chopsticks in front of him, which clattered to the floor.
Zhou Zijian quickly interjected, “Hey, Xiao Song, maybe we should just—”
“I didn’t copy you!” Zhang Qiran’s voice was loud, completely drowning out Zhou Zijian’s words. He was shaking slightly from anger, tears streaming down like an unstoppable faucet. “I didn’t copy you! I didn’t! I didn’t! And as for the smear campaign, my team did send some out, but didn’t your team start it first?”
“You have no idea how nasty the things your team said were. They called me a copycat and said I was like an idiot trying to imitate you. But…”
Zhang Qiran choked up, full of grievance. “But isn’t that what you told me before? You said I should smile more, learn to help my classmates, and if I did, I’d make lots of friends…”
“You said those who face the sun should grow toward the sun…”
“I listened to you, did as you said, and in the end, you called me a copycat…”
“Sob, sob, sob… Song Zhehan, you’re a big liar! You forgot everything, and I’m the only one who remembers!”
The more Zhang Qiran cried, the louder he became, and then he pushed his chair aside, ready to run out.
[Hey, hey, hey!]
Ye Leyao stood up in a panic, but Song Zhehan was faster, grabbing Zhang Qiran’s arm in one swift motion. “Where do you think you’re going?”
“You don’t need to care where I’m going!” Zhang Qiran’s voice was hoarse as he struggled hard. “Let go of me! Let me go! I knew it—I really hate Song Zhehan the most…”
“You have no idea how annoying Song Zhehan is. He clearly doesn’t even remember me, but he said he hates me the most. And yet, this guy still had the nerve to invite me to the variety show…”
“And I, being such a spineless person, actually came. And then this jerk said he wanted to see me embarrass myself on the show… He’s really too much!”
“Sob sob sob… I’ll never like him again!”
Song Zhehan was holding Zhang Qiran’s hand, and Zhang just stood there, crying loudly toward the sky.
As he cried, he couldn’t keep his balance, his body falling straight toward Song Zhehan.
Song Zhehan had no choice but to catch him, and Zhang Qiran clung to half of Song Zhehan’s body, continuing to cry.
The other guests exchanged glances.
Qian Yue was the first to speak, “He says he doesn’t like him…”
Xia Yang nodded in agreement, “If that’s not liking someone, then I might as well quit filming idol dramas.”
Ye Leyao said, “It’s obvious he’s deeply in love, just in denial.”
Ye Leyao couldn’t resist looking at Song Zhehan’s expression again, and after just one glance, he covered his mouth and turned away.
Li Siyuan also took a look and couldn’t help but laugh, “Tsk tsk tsk, look how he’s giving Teacher Gou Shi a headache—he’s even talking less tonight.”
Who could argue with that?
The time was about right, and everyone had finished the gossip, leaving the guests with satisfied expressions.
Zhang Qiran, exhausted from crying, now drooped his head against Song Zhehan’s shoulder, eyes closed.
“Maybe we should help him back to his room?” Xia Yang suggested.
Zhou Zijian walked over, “I’ll help you with that.”
The three of them helped the now-blackout drunk Zhang Qiran toward the elevator.
Suddenly, Zhou Zijian remembered something and looked at Song Zhehan, “By the way, isn’t Zhang Qiran sharing a room with you?”
Ye Leyao couldn’t hold back any longer, bursting into exaggerated laughter.
[Yes! Not only sharing a room, but it was personally arranged by our Teacher Gou Shi!]
The other guests, realizing this, couldn’t hold back either and burst out laughing.
Song Zhehan’s expression instantly became quite colorful.
Qin Yao chuckled a few times before stopping, “I’ve already contacted his assistant and manager. They’ll take care of him tonight.”
Song Zhehan closed his eyes in resignation and nodded, “Thank you.”
Then Qin Yao added, “But before his assistant and manager get here, you’ll still have to take care of him a bit, since you’re sharing a room.”
Li Siyuan burst into uncontrollable laughter, “Hahahahahaha—”
Song Zhehan shot him a sharp glare, but Li Siyuan’s laughter didn’t stop.
The elevator quickly arrived, and the four of them disappeared from the livestream.
Ye Leyao and the other guests began tidying up the aftermath. By the time they were done, it was already midnight.
Today’s filming had been a bit exhausting, and after hearing such juicy gossip in the evening, Ye Leyao should’ve gone straight to bed. But he just couldn’t fall asleep, so as soon as he got back to his room, he opened Weibo.
The top trending topic had a lot of characters, but it was particularly wicked and amusing—
#Will Zhang Qiran escape Earth when he sobers up?#
Ye Leyao’s grin reached the sky.
Of course, he will!
Not only did he get drunk, but he also “confessed his love” to Song Zhehan in front of so many people…
And today wasn’t even the last day of filming—there was still a whole day of recording tomorrow.
Oh my!
I find ZQ quite cute since he first crying and found out by YLY…
A cute crybaby…
Love all the gossip… Wish ZQ could end up with SZH… I would be a cute dynamic couple … A sharp-tongued and a crybaby….
