Xing Jun didn’t know why he came back so early either.

When he lived alone, Xing Jun usually left the company at seven o’clock. He would go to a boxing studio to box for two hours, work out for an hour, then go home into the study to communicate with overseas collaborators for a while. Finally, at eleven or one o’clock, he would go to bed.

Sometimes, he worked overtime at the company until ten before going home. At ten o’clock at night, the house was empty; apart from the voice assistant, there was nothing. Xing Jun occasionally turned on the TV to watch games or news to prevent the house from being too quiet.

But today, as soon as the meeting ended at five-thirty, Xing Jun suddenly realized there was nothing to do in the company—this realization was rare because Xing Jun generally believed that all projects had parts that could be perfected.

If you think there’s nothing to do on a project, it only shows you are neither hardworking nor attentive.

But today there really seemed to be nothing to do. So Xing Jun drove home. On the way, he thought, Shi Xueqing seemed to have said today that he was going to some installation art museum. He estimated that when he got home, Shi Xueqing wouldn’t be back yet.

It would turn into him waiting for Shi Xueqing to come home. But it was good that Shi Xueqing was willing to go out and have fun.

Unexpectedly, Shi Xueqing was actually at home.

Shi Xueqing wasn’t wearing a beautiful bathrobe, but a set of beige loungewear, standing at the door panting and looking at him.

The Leica camera he bought for Shi Xueqing was casually placed on the coffee table—even though when he received the delivery at noon, Shi Xueqing had secretly sent a few WeChat messages and acted “tea-like” (pretentiously innocent/coy) for quite a while before confirming the camera was in hand.

“Didn’t go to the museum this afternoon?”

Xing Jun looked at Shi Xueqing in confusion.

Then he discovered the villa was a little different.

There were a few more throw pillows on the sofa, a few small storage racks on the shoe cabinet, a wooden ornament holding vinyl records, and a fawn sculpture with a serious expression.

There was also an added fragrance of fresh flowers in the room. Xing Jun turned his head and saw a bouquet of fresh flowers blooming in a Baccarat glass vase on the coffee table.

“Did some housework at home this afternoon,” Shi Xueqing said.

“Housework?”

What act is Shi Xueqing putting on?

“Originally I was going out… but I saw the gift you bought me.” Shi Xueqing brushed his hair, thinking this gesture should be quite pure and seductive. “Suddenly didn’t want to go out.”

“…”

Shi Xueqing’s way of tidying his hair was a bit too affected. Not even as fresh and good-looking as usual.

Xing Jun paused, suddenly not knowing what to say. He said: “You… were arranging these decorations in the villa all afternoon?”

Fine, this doesn’t count as housework. Shi Xueqing looked up and then down, seeming very shy: “Brother Xing, I also made dinner.”

“…”

Shi Xueqing can make dinner?

Xing Jun even forgot to take off his coat. With a strange mood, he followed Shi Xueqing into the dining room. He looked at Shi Xueqing’s back, looking exactly like a pet cat suddenly turned into a hardworking snail maiden with hands.

Fortunately, after seeing the food on the plate, Xing Jun calmed down immediately. He listened to Shi Xueqing say obediently in his ear: “Brother Xing, this is pickled cabbage fish, this is stir-fried asparagus.”

Sentence by sentence, gentle and moving.

“…”

This one is seventy dollars, this one is forty dollars, right?

Xing Jun was definitely more familiar than Shi Xueqing with which Chinese takeout places were near the villa. He recognized at a glance that this was the place he had ordered from.

Only after introducing his “fruitful results” did Shi Xueqing realize he forgot to buy rice. Managed to pretend to be virtuous with great difficulty, why mistakes everywhere?

He was in a flurry, about to rummage for rice in the cabinet, when he heard Xing Jun say: “It’s okay, buy a box on DoorDash.”

“Oh, then I…”

“I’ll do it,” Xing Jun said, flashing his phone screen at Shi Xueqing.

Shi Xueqing glanced at Xing Jun’s DoorDash page and instantly saw the takeout place he ordered from in Xing Jun’s “Past Orders.”

Intentionally or unintentionally.

It was even the top one.

“…”

…The rich guy seems to be showing the interface to him on purpose. Shi Xueqing was instantly embarrassed.

Shi Xueqing’s fake dinner making was too fake. The trash can lid was propped up high by takeout packaging, and there were two carved radish flowers next to the black pepper beef willow. Xing Jun thought, but said: “Ice jelly or pumpkin pancake?”

“Hmm?” Shi Xueqing looked up blankly.

“Can’t reach the minimum delivery fee,” Xing Jun said.

“Pump… Ice jelly,” Shi Xueqing said. He actually wanted to eat pumpkin pancakes more.

But things like pumpkin pancakes had too much sugar and oil; Shi Xueqing felt eating them lacked class.

As a result, Xing Jun ordered both. Shi Xueqing watched Xing Jun place the order, thinking of Mia’s “generous” remark in his heart, and stole glances to see how Xing Jun reacted to his home decor.

Regrettably, Xing Jun seemed to lack interest in this. Xing Jun didn’t look at the flowers, nor did he touch the pillows. He just sat there, processing messages on his phone without a word.

Feels like this pile of decorations is useless. Thinking this, Shi Xueqing also sat aside playing on his phone.

Mia went out to play with Ni Youwen again. In her Instagram stories, the nightclub dance floor scene was fiery. The two posed together intimately; both were party animals.

And he and Xing Jun were just sitting opposite each other at home playing on phones… The doorbell rang again. Shi Xueqing hurriedly said: “I’ll get it.”

He trotted all the way. Appearing at the door was actually the same delivery guy.

“Forgot to buy rice?” The delivery guy speaking Chinese was quite familiar.

Shi Xueqing took the rice and closed the door quickly, thinking “Amitabha, I’m starving to death,” but was startled as soon as he turned around.

Xing Jun had followed him at some point, crossing his arms and watching him in the hallway.

Seeing Shi Xueqing startle, Xing Jun laughed with a “pff”: “You’re quite memorable.”

Shi Xueqing: “…”

“Looking sneaky, who are you putting on a show for—alright, knew long ago the rice wasn’t made by you.”

“Brother Xing, I plated it too.” Shi Xueqing simply stopped being coy, only muttering, “Plating is also housework.”

This unreasonable arguing appearance was actually quite seductive.

“After eating later, you just need to plate yourself well.” Xing Jun touched Shi Xueqing’s waist, flicking Shi Xueqing’s lumbar dimple suggestively with his finger.

…Suddenly body went a bit soft again. Shi Xueqing returned to the dining table resentfully, feeling the afternoon’s affectation was wasted.

Why doesn’t Xing Jun buy this act? Don’t they say domineering CEOs all like the warmth of home? Or is it that in Xing Jun’s heart, he is not the pure and homey type at all?

“Next time I’ll take you to eat at the restaurant. Takeout doesn’t taste as fresh as in the store.”

“Mmn.”

“Why so few words?”

“…Brother Xing, you exposing that I didn’t cook makes me so embarrassed.” Shi Xueqing casually acted “tea” again, “After all, it was my good intention.”

“Tch.” Xing Jun laughed. “Embarrassed over this? Didn’t spend money raising you to cook. If I wanted a chef, I would spend money to poach one from a restaurant.”

True. Shi Xueqing heard Xing Jun say again: “Besides, you didn’t study cooking either. There is specialization in professions.”

Shi Xueqing said hypocritically: “Brother Xing, but I see you working too hard. I want to learn too.”

Indeed specialization in professions. Shi Xueqing is acting ‘tea’ again. Xing Jun’s chopsticks paused, very disbelieving: “Really want to learn? I’ll find you a master.”

Shi Xueqing: “…”

“Start tomorrow, I happen to know one…” Xing Jun made a move to call. Shi Xueqing hurriedly said: “Brother Xing, no need, no need.”

Che. Xing Jun finished teasing the person and glanced at Shi Xueqing. Shi Xueqing quickly pretended it was unintentional and looked in other directions.

…Fine, the explicit sugar daddy style suits them better.

Shi Xueqing stopped talking too, lowering his head to eat. Xing Jun glanced at his fair neck, thinking is Shi Xueqing suddenly wanting to open a new track, starting to take the homey style?

Service awareness suddenly increased? Saw Mia yesterday and got inspired? Don’t know what Shi Xueqing is thinking; restless personality, yet wants to pretend to be a virtuous wife and good mother. Pouring takeout directly onto plates and wanting him to think he made it.

As soon as the meal was finished, just the time it took to throw away trash, Shi Xueqing was picked up by the waist by Xing Jun onto the island counter. Xing Jun pinched his chin to kiss him, hand reaching inside unceremoniously. In a few strokes, Shi Xueqing went soft, crying out mournfully.

“Pretending this and that, looking for a fu*k for yourself.” Xing Jun laughed at him. “Lie down properly, plate yourself for me right here.”

…Who said Xing Jun likes the homey type? What Xing Jun likes is the slutty type, right? Shi Xueqing stopped talking too. He covered his face with his hands but spread his legs.

The island counter height reached exactly Xing Jun’s waist. This was where Shi Xueqing failed at cooking, but doing other things here, Shi Xueqing was outstanding. In no time, Shi Xueqing started screaming and moaning indiscriminately. Lying here really gave him the feeling of being eaten as a dish, and Xing Jun ate like a whirlwind, gnashing teeth and sucking blood.

Resulting in Xing Jun pressing down, grabbing him while gasping heavily, head tilting to the other side: “What are you thinking?”

Shi Xueqing opened his mouth and it came: “Brother Xing… do I taste good…”

Fuck.

The next moment, Shi Xueqing started screaming from the stimulation. While bullying him, Xing Jun asked: “Do I taste good?”

“…”

“Pretending to be a little wife failed quite badly; being a little gluttonous cat suits you better. Even words like ‘do I taste good’ can be said; looks like your butt has been raised well again.”

…Shi Xueqing didn’t gain anything else, instead suffered the consequences of his own actions all night, eating a lot of things. Late at night, Xing Jun held him in the bathtub and asked: “Why did you think of cooking for me?”

“Mmn…” Shi Xueqing couldn’t even lift his eyelids, looking down at the bulging part of his lower abdomen. “I thought… you might like the virtuous homey type.”

Being soaked in hot water, he also remembered not to betray Mia. Xing Jun froze for a moment, grabbing Shi Xueqing’s hand to touch Shi Xueqing’s belly: “What were you thinking, coming up with such a perception? Don’t you know which type I like yet?”

Xing Jun likes whatever proves his virility. Shi Xueqing rolled his eyes in his heart, but his mouth was weak: “Brother Xing, you being alone in a foreign country, there must be times when you miss the feeling of home.”

Only after acting “tea” did Shi Xueqing realize this sentence was wrong. Xing Jun’s movements stopped, leaving him hanging. And suddenly, Shi Xueqing remembered Xing Jun had been busy fighting for family property in the past few years.

Fighting for family property… wealthy family struggles. Even sent his own father to a mental hospital. Shi Xueqing’s back suddenly felt a chill, wondering if moving by himself at this time could distract Xing Jun.

Just as he was about to get up, he heard Xing Jun say: “I’ve never had that feeling. My mom only had her brother in her heart, my dad… heh.”

A single sentence was actually a bit chilling. The terror and pressure Shi Xueqing hadn’t felt for a long time came back, and it was scarier than any moment felt before.

That was a genuine murderous intent towards people.

And Xing Jun suddenly added: “What are you dodging for?”

As if because memories were implicated, he suddenly couldn’t tolerate even the slightest movement from Shi Xueqing that would make him misunderstand he was leaving.

Holy sht.*

Too much water in the bathtub; Shi Xueqing was scared and suddenly slipped. Then, he never had to explain everything just now again.

Instant darkness before his eyes, seeing stars. It took a good while for Shi Xueqing to start crying uncontrollably, whining and whimpering. He felt like he had been seriously injured on the battlefield.

That slip made Xing Jun’s scalp tingle. Shi Xueqing’s movement had some impact force, and very quickly Shi Xueqing’s physical reaction was alarming.

He simply stopped thinking about the earlier matter. Just as he was about to pinch Shi Xueqing’s waist to continue, he suddenly found Shi Xueqing’s reaction was wrong.

Shaking terribly all over. The whole body’s reaction and expression were unlike usual.

He immediately stopped moving too, lifting Shi Xueqing out of the bathtub: “What’s wrong?”

He knew corpus luteum rupture could happen between men and women, but didn’t know what could happen between men and men. Xing Jun lowered his head wanting to check the situation, reaching out to call an ambulance at the same time.

Sending a kept same-sex bed partner to the hospital was too explosive. Even among the many PDFs (scandals/files) in Los Angeles, it could rank in the front row. But Xing Jun had no time to think about this, only wanting to send Shi Xueqing to the hospital quickly.

Unexpectedly, Shi Xueqing said dazedly: “Why aren’t you continuing…”

Xing Jun: “…”

“What’s going on,” he said.

Shi Xueqing cried: “I don’t know either… too comfortable…”

Could it be that just now, that spot was hit again?

Xing Jun, however, dared not continue. Shi Xueqing’s violent reaction just now left him with lingering fear. In the short term, he only touched him very gently. As a result, Shi Xueqing became unsatisfied instead, thinking what’s wrong with Xing Jun, is he still a man?

They ended hastily in the bathtub with their own thoughts. When going back to bed to sleep, Xing Jun held Shi Xueqing and asked worriedly: “Belly is okay, right?”

Shi Xueqing shook his head.

Xing Jun was slightly relieved. Just as he was about to close his eyes, he heard Shi Xueqing say: “Brother Xing, is your impression of your family not very good?”
