Xing Jun was busy at work. Just as the last meeting was about to start, his eyelid twitched wildly.

His assistant brought him his phone: “President Xing, there’s a call for you.”

“Who is it?” With the meeting imminent, he wouldn’t take it unless it was urgent.

The assistant said, “The caller is named Neil Ni.”

Xing Jun: “…Ignore him.”

At noon, Ni Youwen still hadn’t given up on the dinner for four and was still trying to egg Xing Jun on in various ways. Xing Jun’s phone beeped incessantly, annoying him to no end, and he asked Ni what exactly he wanted.

Ni Youwen: “Sigh, just want to see what the person who took your virginity looks like.”

Receiving this kind of message during work, Xing Jun really wanted to stuff his head into the toilet. He only replied coldly: “My project is very important. This weekend, I’m having dinner with Gorsuch.”

Gorsuch was Xing Jun’s partner on this project. Ni Youwen asked again: “What about the other meal?”

“With Aspen.” Aspen was an investor.

Ni Youwen was temporarily speechless. Through the phone, Xing Jun could sense him shrugging: “Sigh—actually, introducing him to me isn’t on your priority list, is it?”

Xing Jun: “Mmn, you guessed right. There’s no need for him to come out and meet people.”

Xing Jun hung up the phone to deal with official business. Unexpectedly, just before the meeting, Ni Youwen called again. Xing Jun thought Ni Youwen probably hadn’t given up yet.

Is it necessary to come out for a meal? During the meeting, Xing Jun thought, he was just keeping Shi Xueqing as a sugar baby. So why bring Shi Xueqing out to satisfy Ni Youwen’s curiosity?

As for “introducing a boyfriend,” that was even more impossible. Xing Jun thought that with Ni Youwen’s frivolous attitude towards romantic relationships, he definitely wouldn’t have that idea.

Besides, he and Shi Xueqing weren’t in that kind of relationship.

Xing Jun went up steadily to do his presentation. Unexpectedly, just as the meeting was about to end, the assistant came over again.

“Another call for you.”

The meeting had reached the final summary stage. Xing Jun asked the assistant: “Who is it?”

“Uh… you have him saved as Cyan,” the assistant said.

It was actually Shi Xueqing calling. Xing Jun thought about the consumption text messages popping up all afternoon, and then realized it was already 7 PM—Shi Xueqing probably wanted to ask when he would be back.

Xing Jun took the phone, quickly replied “In a meeting,” and planned to call back after the meeting ended.

The meeting finally ended. Xing Jun went to the balcony to make the call; the busy tone rang for a long time.

He frowned. Just when the call time was about to reach the limit, Shi Xueqing finally picked up.

“I’m getting off work soon,” Xing Jun said.

“Oh… Brother Xing, that’s not what I wanted to ask.” On the other end of the phone, Shi Xueqing’s voice was a bit hesitant. “There’s someone at the villa door.”

“Who?” Many fraud and robbery cases suddenly popped into Xing Jun’s head. “Don’t open the door randomly. Call the police and wait for me to come back.”

“That person says he’s your friend and has a photo with you,” Shi Xueqing said. “Named Ni Youwen.”

Xing Jun: “…………”

He paused and said with forbearance: “I’ll be back very soon.”

During rush hour in Los Angeles, the crowded road conditions became even more unbearable than usual. While Xing Jun was driving his Bentley, Ni Youwen said with a smile: “See, didn’t I say I’m Xing Jun’s friend? We even graduated from the same American high school.”

Shi Xueqing glanced at his outfit, then glanced at his Aston Martin. Immediately, Shi Xueqing said: “Then park your car over there and come in.”

While opening the door, Shi Xueqing thought, Xing Jun’s friend, dressed in Brunello Cucinelli and driving an Aston Martin, indeed looked rich enough to be in the same circle as Xing Jun.

But Shi Xueqing behaved with perfect composure. He entered the house, put away the big bags of things he bought, washed a few cups by the way, and placed them neatly in the cupboard.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Ni Youwen enter the living room and looking at him too.

Ni Youwen sat on the sofa. Shi Xueqing couldn’t bring out the things he bought to decorate the villa, so he simply went to wash some blueberries to eat. While Shi Xueqing was washing, Ni Youwen’s voice came from behind.

“Have you been living here these past few days?”

“Yes.”

Shi Xueqing felt there was nothing to hide. But Ni Youwen’s expression became a bit thoughtful as he looked at him.

Shi Xueqing was outwardly eating blueberries, but his back had tightened slightly—this person isn’t here to cause trouble, right?

Fortunately, the front door opened again. Shi Xueqing peeked out and found Xing Jun was back.

“You’re back.”

Shi Xueqing rarely walked up to Xing Jun. Xing Jun gave an “Mmn” and took all the blueberries from his hand.

…Hey, I just washed those.

“Yo, back, Old Xing.” Ni Youwen also walked over.

“This is my high school classmate and partner. I’m going to the study with him to discuss something,” Xing Jun said to Shi Xueqing.

Shi Xueqing nodded. He stood at the door looking obedient as he watched the two go upstairs. Before going up, Ni Youwen even gave him an ambiguous smile.

“…”

What does that mean?

Shi Xueqing wondered if he should eavesdrop. Inside the study, Xing Jun had already spoken to Ni Youwen with annoyance: “What are you doing here?”

“Mia has plans with friends tonight. I came to pay you a visit,” Ni Youwen said plausibly.

Xing Jun: “Visit?”

“And to see what your girlfriend looks like by the way,” Ni Youwen grinned. “Didn’t expect that, Xing Jun—it’s actually a guy.”

Ni Youwen himself was bisexual (“ate both men and women”), yet he was talking about him. Xing Jun was speechless for a moment, then heard Ni Youwen say: “He’s quite pretty. A solid nine, could catch up to celebrities. The key is his temperament is quite unique too. No wonder you’re bewitched like this.”

What bewitched, I’m not. Xing Jun was annoyed: “Done talking yet?”

“Hey hey, why so impatient? In a hurry to spend your night time? Then let me give you some emotional value. You’ve got good taste, kid. This sugar baby is definitely worth it. He looks young, just legal? In a few years when he matures, he’ll be even better looking.”

On one hand, Xing Jun disliked Ni Youwen coming uninvited; on the other hand, hearing Ni Youwen praise Shi Xueqing, he felt a bit gratified. Ni Youwen added: “I saw him come back with big and small bags. Went shopping in the afternoon?”

“I guess,” Xing Jun thought, deciding to see what Shi Xueqing bought later.

Ni Youwen, however, took a call. As soon as the call connected, his voice sounded like it was coated in honey, calling “baby” and “sweetheart” non-stop. After a while, he came back with the phone: “Mia got stood up; asked me to pick her up. Hey, let’s go have dinner, the four of us?”

“No time.”

“You can’t be fucking him in the villa every day, right? Consequences of twenty-four years of sexual repression? Should give him a break too,” Ni Youwen egged him on. “Besides, when you went to work, he went shopping alone? He doesn’t know anyone in LA, right? How lonely to shop alone.”

Xing Jun’s heart suddenly moved, as if some awareness had been knocked awake. Ni Youwen continued: “Let him meet Mia; someone can take him out to play.”

Shi Xueqing ate a few blueberries and finally decided to continue pretending to read on the sofa to show his tranquility. Not long after, he heard Xing Jun call out: “Cyan.”

Mmn.
Mmn??

Why did Xing Jun call his English name for no reason? Shi Xueqing looked up and saw Xing Jun standing by the stairs. Xing Jun said: “Let’s go out for dinner together.”

Ni Youwen smiled and waved goodbye to Shi Xueqing, leaving first to pick up Mia. Xing Jun took Shi Xueqing to the car. While starting the car, he added: “By the way, have you told Ni Youwen your name?”

“No.”

“Don’t tell them your real name later; just say your name is Cyan,” Xing Jun said.

Is this a special play for rich guys keeping canaries? Shi Xueqing didn’t ask, only nodding obediently: “Okay.”

Unexpectedly, while driving, Xing Jun added a sentence: “I haven’t met Ni Youwen’s girlfriend. I don’t know what kind of person she is.”

Huh?

Didn’t understand what he meant. Did the rich guy’s paranoia explode? Afraid someone would use his name to apply for credit cards?

Shi Xueqing only nodded on the surface. While waiting for a red light, Xing Jun looked at Shi Xueqing, thinking about Ni Youwen saying Shi Xueqing would grow even prettier in a few years.

So seductive at such a young age; what will he grow into in a few years?

Where two rich guys went was indeed a high-end ocean-view restaurant. The prices were also extremely high-end; a meal could cost four figures. Shi Xueqing followed Xing Jun inside and saw a young girl dressed in Miu Miu sitting next to Ni Youwen. The young girl was very pretty, a sweet type, and her lips perked up when she smiled.

Shi Xueqing felt she looked a bit familiar. But the girl recognized him first. She smiled and said: “It’s you?”

?

“Don’t remember me? We met at the brunch place this afternoon. Sophia even hit on you, asking if you were going to the observatory, and you said you had plans tonight.” Mia covered her mouth and laughed, seeming very enthusiastic. “Didn’t expect it to be so coincidental; we know each other again.”

“Truly, ‘where in life do we not meet’ (it’s a small world). Don’t you think?” Ni Youwen immediately started supporting his girlfriend’s words, speaking to Xing Jun and Shi Xueqing.

“Jensen,” Xing Jun introduced himself.

But before Shi Xueqing could speak, Xing Jun added: “He is Cyan.”

“Hello Cyan, I’m Mia.” Mia extended a hand with pink nail polish towards Shi Xueqing.

Mia only shook hands with him, not with Xing Jun. Shi Xueqing was puzzled at first, then realized this might be a tacit understanding between “escorts.” In Mia’s mind, Xing Jun was probably his sugar daddy.

Ni Youwen and Mia flirted while ordering. Xing Jun also asked Shi Xueqing: “What do you want to eat?”

Shi Xueqing ordered something random, then found that despite Mia and Ni Youwen playing around for ages, Mia barely ate anything in the end. Mia said coquettishly: “I eat very little at night…”

“Keeping your figure, right?” Ni Youwen pinched her.

Mia hit Ni Youwen lightly, and finally ordered an expensive set meal. When the food arrived, Shi Xueqing watched her taking photos of various foods, then heard her say: “Cyan, your plate looks nice too; aren’t you taking a photo?”

“Oh…”

For some reason, in such a scene, Shi Xueqing suddenly became very reserved. Even though he usually took photos freely in front of Xing Jun.

If he were a bit older, he might understand that this was the helplessness of being thrown into the adult world, where the body sensed the atmosphere of adulthood before the intellect did.

“Can you Airdrop it to me after you take it? Let’s add each other on Insta,” Mia said.

Shi Xueqing was good-looking; as a “friend” appearing in Insta food photos, he would be eye-catching. Moreover, Mia had over a hundred thousand followers on Insta; maybe she could help Shi Xueqing build his account.

Shi Xueqing fumbled for his phone for a long time, feeling his hands were slippery. Xing Jun spoke up then: “No need. He doesn’t use Insta much usually.”

“Oh… sorry.”

Shi Xueqing suddenly felt a sense of relief. Soon, he noticed that Mia looked lively, but after Xing Jun’s somewhat cold refusal just now, her apology was a bit too solemn.

Or rather, it was “cowering.”

It was like, superficially there were four people at the table, but actually, it was 2+2 people. Mia clearly knew she wasn’t in the same class as Xing Jun or Ni Youwen.

Shi Xueqing felt this feeling was a bit wonderful. He listened to the conversations on both sides. One “side” was Mia talking, talking about eating, drinking, and playing in LA, or mentioning the brand she wanted to start. Ni Youwen seemed to listen very seriously, nodding constantly. The other “side” was when Ni Youwen talked to Xing Jun.

Once they started chatting about work matters, Mia stopped talking completely, consciously withdrawing from the world on the dining table.

And Shi Xueqing barely spoke from beginning to end either.

Dining came to a pause. The influencer’s taste was really good; Shi Xueqing got unprecedentedly beautiful photos. Xing Jun went to the restroom, and Ni Youwen found an acquaintance in the restaurant and went over to chat.

Only Shi Xueqing and Mia were left at the table. Once the two sugar daddies left, Mia started twirling her hair boredly with her fingers. Shi Xueqing looked at her exquisite makeup, thought for a moment, and said: “Did those friends of yours go to the observatory to play?”

“What observatory? Sophia only acts like that in front of boys she’s interested in. She should be playing cards in some club right now.” Mia played with her nails. “Do you want to go play together?”

Shi Xueqing was stunned. He said: “I might…”

“Oh right, it’s night. But some clubs are open in the afternoon too. Does your boyfriend work during the day?” Mia grinned. “Anyway, you know my Insta. Sometime I’ll take you out to play.”

“Would that be…”

“Hey, so timid. It’s fine, just a sugar daddy; they can’t make us accompany them 24 hours a day, right?” Mia pouted. “We need time to go out and play too, don’t we? I know a place where a certain wine is especially good, and there are strip teases…”

“What are you chatting about?” Ni Youwen came back.

Mia said: “Talking about fun places in LA.”

“Don’t believe it; definitely corrupting the kid. Don’t mess around; Cyan is only nineteen,” Ni Youwen hooked her nose.

“What. When you don’t accompany me, of course I have to go out and play…”

“Go out and play what?”

Xing Jun came back at this time. Mia stopped talking. As a result, Ni Youwen spoke first, smiling: “Adults going to bars and such to play. Jensen, don’t look so serious; you scared my Mia.”

Saying that, he suggested: “Go to a bar for the second round later?”

Xing Jun didn’t say yes or no, just glanced at Shi Xueqing. Shi Xueqing was daydreaming; being looked at like this, he felt it was strange.

What is Xing Jun looking at me for?

Right, Xing Jun brought me, Ni Youwen brought Mia; does this meal count as sugar daddy socializing?

Sugar daddy socializing sounded like quite an upper-class gameplay. Shi Xueqing wondered if he counted as experiencing something others hadn’t. Leaving the restaurant, Ni Youwen and Mia chatted in front; their chat even started getting a bit dirty. Shi Xueqing walked beside Xing Jun, pretending not to hear.

But the chat was getting a bit too stimulating. Even SM clubs came up. Don’t tell me Xing Jun has fetishes in this area.

“I remember you’re quite interested in bondage?” Ni Youwen poked his head back. “Want to go see it?”

A car happened to pass by. Shi Xueqing didn’t hear Xing Jun’s reply. He was stunned, thinking No way, no way, no way.

Getting into the car, Shi Xueqing peeked quietly and was horrified to find Xing Jun setting the navigation.

Navigation… Shi Xueqing felt his tongue was tied. He asked: “Brother Xing… where are we going?”

He asked a bit cautiously. Mainly because Shi Xueqing knew what SM was about. Xing Jun was already unbearable enough now; if he picked up some fetishes…

Xing Jun finally finished setting the navigation.

“The observatory.”

He said.
