Chapter 27: The Disabled Brother of the Wealthy Male Lead (3)
The other person looked to be around seventeen or eighteen years old, somewhere between a teenager and a young adult. However, he completely lacked the sunshine and vitality that someone of his age should have.
His expression was gloomy with a hint of hidden violence, which would likely make anyone unfamiliar with him keep their distance. But Ying Zhao didn’t feel any fear towards the person opposite him.
He just thought that the other person must be deeply repressed to treat those around him this way. Thinking of his true purpose in coming to this small world, Ying Zhao didn’t hesitate to push the door open.
He believed that no matter what his lover looked like in this lifetime, he would always be different to him.
However, as soon as he stepped into the room, he heard the young man in the wheelchair clutching his forehead and impatiently yelling, “Didn’t I already tell you to get out? Why are you back again!”
Saying this, Lin Yiting looked up, but the moment he saw Ying Zhao, he was stunned. Because he hadn’t expected that the one entering the room wasn’t Butler Lin but a child who looked like a porcelain doll.
The child’s face was expressionless, but his eyes were especially bright. When facing him, there was none of the pity or fear that others usually showed.
Lin Yiting paused, frowned, and asked Ying Zhao, “Who are you?”
Hearing the question, Ying Zhao blinked. He straightened his chest, stood in front of Lin Yiting, and said in a measured manner, “Shouldn’t you introduce yourself before asking who someone else is?”
Lin Yiting hadn’t expected that the child in front of him would say such a thing. It seemed like he wasn’t afraid of him at all and even dared to approach him.
Moreover, not only did he not answer his question, but he also had the audacity to ask for his name first. Normally, Lin Yiting would have yelled at him to get out.
But for some reason, the moment he saw this child, his mood seemed to calm down a lot. So Lin Yiting pursed his lips, hesitated for a moment, and then said somewhat coldly, “Lin Yiting.”
The other person seemed a bit reluctant to turn his face away. Ying Zhao looked at the boy’s awkward expression and smiled slightly. This kind of lover was quite new to him.
After all, in his previous life, Wenren Ming was always gentle and refined, no matter how dark he was inside. But now, the boy in front of him gave him a completely different experience.
Thinking of this, a fleeting smile appeared in Ying Zhao’s eyes. He suddenly leaned closer to Lin Yiting, as if carefully observing him.
Lin Yiting hadn’t expected the child to suddenly get so close, causing him to instinctively lean back.
But then he felt that he couldn’t lose to a child and make him think he was afraid, so he straightened his body again.
Deliberately glaring at Ying Zhao, he said angrily, “Hey! Kid, what are you doing getting so close? Aren’t you afraid of me?”
To his surprise, the child in front of him looked puzzled after hearing his question.
Ying Zhao raised an eyebrow, frowned, and blinked at Lin Yiting, saying, “Why should I be afraid of you? You’re so good-looking!”
If Lin Yiting’s appearance was about sixty percent similar to Zhuque’s, it could definitely be considered top-tier. But now, being young, he still looked quite immature.
Due to his gloomy and violent nature, he usually wore a sullen expression, causing others to overlook his striking looks.
It was the first time Lin Yiting had been called good-looking. Although it was just a child saying it, the serious tone made him blush involuntarily.
He still tried to maintain his composure and retorted to Ying Zhao, “What nonsense are you spouting, kid! Hey! You haven’t told me your name yet!”
Hearing this, Ying Zhao showed a look of sudden realization. He nodded at Lin Yiting and said,
“Right! Since you told me your name is Lin Yiting, as a return, I should tell you my name too.”
After finishing, Ying Zhao coughed twice, straightened up, and solemnly said to Lin Yiting, “Hello, my name is Ying Zhou, and I am your future—husband!”
As he said this, Ying Zhao felt a faint urge to laugh, thinking it was payback for having to introduce himself as his lover’s future wife in his past life.
But since this was a new world, maybe he could take charge?
Although he didn’t care much about being on top or bottom, he still enjoyed taking the upper hand verbally.
Hearing Ying Zhao’s words, Lin Yiting widened his eyes in disbelief and said, “Do you know what you’re saying? Are you messing with me?”
Ying Zhao seriously shook his head, stepped forward, and held Lin Yiting’s hand, saying solemnly,
“No! Don’t dismiss my words just because I’m a child. You are the most good-looking person I’ve ever seen, so I must marry you! When Ying Zhou says something, he means it. In the future, I will definitely be your husband!”
After saying this, Ying Zhao patted Lin Yiting’s hand and reminded him, “So, darling, you must wait for me to grow up!”
Lin Yiting, hearing this, immediately contorted his face, wanting to get angry. But after a moment of fury, he couldn’t help but laugh.
Clearly, he should be angry, but the thought of this adorable child saying he would marry him and be his husband seemed so funny.
Lin Yiting’s initially angry expression twisted awkwardly, and finally, he couldn’t hold back and burst into laughter. But after laughing, he froze.
How many years had it been since he laughed like this? All because of this child. Thinking of this, Lin Yiting leaned forward and poked Ying Zhao’s chubby cheek.
Ying Zhao didn’t move, allowing Lin Yiting to poke him, while still staring at Lin Yiting with a serious expression.
The moment Ying Zhao met his lover seemed to trigger a hidden plot, and new information about Lin Yiting flooded into his mind.
When Lin Yiting was born, his legs were disabled. The Lin family had sought the best doctors but couldn’t cure his legs.
Since the family couldn’t let a disabled person inherit, when Lin Yiting was ten, the Lin couple found a way to have another child, Lin Ze.
With Lin Ze around, Lin Yiting naturally faced some neglect. From then on, Lin Yiting’s emotions became even more unstable. He had always felt inferior because of his legs, and he began to withdraw from people.
At some point, an uncontrollable rage grew inside him. The Lin family took him to the best doctors, and the diagnosis was bipolar disorder.
So, the Lin couple had Butler Lin give Lin Yiting medication every day, hoping to improve his condition. But Lin Yiting himself was unwilling to accept treatment.
He felt that he was nothing but a cripple, and living in this world would only be a burden to others, so why live such a miserable life?
So, he moved to the room at the end of the corridor on his own. Every day, he stayed there, living a self-imposed imprisonment, wishing the whole world would forget him.
Ying Zhao understood the bitterness in Lin Yiting’s heart. Moreover, when he held the other’s hand, he felt a familiar warmth that only his lover’s soul could bring.
Recalling the plot he had read, Ying Zhao remembered the news of Lin Ze’s brother’s early death. Just thinking about his lover dying in such a dark room made Ying Zhao’s heart ache uncontrollably.
While Ying Zhao was trying hard to create a good atmosphere with his lover, the entire Lin Mansion was already in chaos looking for him.
Lin Ze waited for a long time without seeing Ying Zhao return, so he went to the restroom to look for him.
After searching several restrooms without finding any trace of Ying Zhao, Lin Ze had no choice but to seek help from the adults chatting in the living room.
When Lin Ze’s parents heard that Ying Zhao was missing, they immediately called all the servants in a panic. They searched everywhere for Ying Zhao, practically turning the entire Lin Mansion upside down, but still couldn’t find him.
Just when everyone was at a loss, Lin Ze suddenly remembered that Ying Zhao had once told him he wanted to check out the end of the corridor.
He thought of his terrifying older brother. Could it be that Xiao Zhou didn’t listen to him and went to play in the room at the end of the corridor?
As the image of his brother’s gloomy and violent face flashed through his mind, Lin Ze couldn’t help but feel terrified. He wondered if Xiao Zhou had already been killed by his terrifying brother!
At this point, Lin Ze was just a seven-year-old child. As he thought about this, he immediately burst into tears.
Seeing him like this, the Lin couple quickly and nervously asked, “Xiao Ze, what’s wrong? Why are you suddenly crying?”
Choking with sobs, Lin Ze told them what Ying Zhao had once said to him. Naturally, the Lin couple and Ying Zhao’s parents also remembered Lin Yiting’s bipolar disorder.
Hearing Lin Ze say this, they immediately rushed anxiously to Lin Yiting’s room. However, when they opened the door, they saw their gloomy and scary eldest son with an unexpectedly gentle look in his eyes.
Ying Zhao was sitting on Lin Yiting’s lap, leaning on him somewhat dependently. In his hand, he was playing with a broken rabbit doll that was missing a leg.
Seeing Ying Zhao’s posture and the rabbit doll in his hand, the Lin couple’s faces showed a look of shock.
Because that doll was Lin Yiting’s only toy from childhood, one he never allowed anyone to touch. He had found it in the yard when he was very young.
When Lady Lin saw the doll’s broken state, she had intended to throw it away. However, Lin Yiting had thrown a huge tantrum, saying that if the doll with a missing leg should be thrown away, then he, whose legs were useless, should be thrown away too.
Since then, the doll had become Lin Yiting’s only companion. It seemed that on that day, he had completely shut off his heart.
