Chapter 101: Intersteller ABO (19, 20)

After a moment, Ying Zhao lowered his head, his eyes reddening as he softly said, “But I don’t have any glands, did you know? Although I’m an Omega, I was born without any glands. They all say I’m a monster who can’t even be defined by a gender.”

Seeing the usually lively boy with reddened eyes, Ernest finally realized how much emotional damage the years of mockery and ridicule had caused him, even though the boy had never shown it due to the deficiency of his glands.

Perhaps the boy had always felt inferior, which was why he didn’t dare to accept his own feelings. Thinking of this, Ernest’s heart ached. He held Ying Zhao tightly, kissing his forehead reassuringly, and firmly said in his ear, “I won’t allow you to say that! You are not a monster; you are my most precious treasure. In this world, in my heart, no one and nothing can compare to you! Stay by my side, and from now on, I will take care of you!”

Ying Zhao felt touched by the man’s confession, but he also knew that if he agreed now and continued to associate with the protagonist, he would meet a tragic end.

Planning to resolve everything before being with his lover, Ying Zhao could only try to hold back his tears, pursing his lips. Then, pretending to be conflicted, he took a deep breath and gently shook his head at Ernest.

Ying Zhao refused, saying, “I’m sorry, Marshal. You should have a better Omega. I don’t have any glands, nor can I bear children, and I don’t even have pheromones. Lord Ernest, you are my idol; you deserve the best. Please don’t say things like this anymore; I have to go!”

As Ying Zhao spoke, he stood up, trying to break free from the man’s embrace, but was tightly restrained by Ernest’s strong arms. A burning kiss fell upon him with an undeniable force.

Ernest couldn’t allow the little one in his arms to feel inferior. His boy was clearly the best and most charming! What did it matter if he didn’t have glands? What did it matter if he couldn’t bear children?

As long as the boy was willing to stay with him, the two of them alone would be the best, and no one would compete for his love.

With selfish thoughts, Ernest noticed Ying Zhao struggling desperately in his arms, but the small effort was completely incapable of pushing him away.

His possessiveness grew, and he didn’t want to let go—he didn’t want to release the boy at all. He wanted him to belong entirely to him.

The frenzy in his mind intensified, and the sturdy sweater in the Marshal’s hands was torn apart with ease. It wasn’t until sobbing cries came from below that Ernest was startled awake, his rationality returning.

Looking at the boy in his arms sobbing softly, Ernest felt as though his heart was breaking. He took a deep breath, calming his body’s agitation.

He lifted his head and saw the boy’s eyes red, like a frightened little rabbit. Only then did he realize how overly impatient he had been, scaring the boy in his arms.

With a furrowed brow full of regret, Ernest gently kissed his cheek, yet still didn’t intend to let him go. He merely said apologetically to Ying Zhao, “I’m sorry, I was too hasty and frightened you. But I can’t bear your rejection. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have glands or can’t have children. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have pheromones either—I can’t smell them or sense them anyway.”

After saying this, he indeed saw the boy in his arms widen his eyes in shock. A trace of a smile flickered in Ernest’s eyes as he held Ying Zhao tighter, letting him feel the change in his own body. He whispered hoarsely in his ear, “Little one, whether or not you have pheromones, just being you is enough to make me lose all reason.”

Seeing his little one blush shyly, Ernest held his chin, forcing him to look directly into his eyes, and domineeringly declared, “Baby, today is our first official meeting, so I’ll give you time. But you need to answer me soon—I’m not very patient, understood?”

After saying this, Ernest finally loosened his arms. But the reluctance and sadness in his eyes were so obvious that Ying Zhao couldn’t help but be moved.

Feeling his man’s emotions and the deep love in his eyes, Ying Zhao suddenly didn’t want to continue rejecting him.

Even though he was worried that dealing with Abner might make Ernest angry, wouldn’t dragging things out only make his lover sadder?

He had come here to make his lover happy, after all. In front of his lover, everything else had to take a back seat. As for Abner, he would explain things to his man properly. Even though it might still end badly for him even after a warning.

With a sigh in his heart, Ying Zhao suddenly threw himself into Ernest’s arms. He wrapped his arms around his neck and kissed his lips. Then, as if shy, he blushed and tried to leave.

But how could Ernest allow Ying Zhao to escape? He grabbed the seductive little one back in an instant. He had thought he would have to spend more time coaxing this insecure boy into accepting him, yet the boy had kissed him so quickly.

The Marshal’s eyes widened in delight, and he said in disbelief, “Baby! You accepted me?”

But the little one in his arms turned his head and pouted, stubbornly saying, “No, I didn’t. I didn’t secretly have a crush on you, and I definitely didn’t fantasize about being with you every day!”

Hearing what was practically a confession from Ying Zhao’s mouth, Ernest’s grin stretched to his ears. He lowered his head and fiercely captured that sweet-talking mouth, his heart surging with joy, feeling as though his life was now complete.

‘What a dishonest little one,’ Ernest thought happily, savoring the sweetness in his arms, only releasing him when the boy was breathless from the kiss.

Ying Zhao, panting and leaning against his man’s chest, curved his lips slightly, sensing his lover’s exuberant mood.

However, thinking about the possible future misery awaiting him, he still tried to negotiate, “Although we’re together now, you’re still in the probationary period! So, you have to behave well, no overthinking, and don’t doubt my feelings for you. If anything comes up, ask me first—you need to trust me, okay?”

Upon hearing this, Ernest immediately nodded vigorously, though his mind was screaming with joy: Baby admitted it! Baby said we’re together now! From now on, the little one is completely mine!

As for the probationary period—what’s that? But since Baby wants me to nod, I’ll just nod for now. →_→

The two of them continued being lovey-dovey for a while. Though Ernest didn’t want Ying Zhao to leave, Ying Zhao insisted. After all, there were still many matters at school that needed to be handled, and he couldn’t let anyone discover their special relationship yet.

Considering the potential dangers surrounding Ying Zhao, the Marshal finally nodded as well. He decided to deal with the royal family matters as soon as possible. If that emperor dared to make another move, he would pull him down from his high perch. With this thought, a ruthless gleam flashed in Ernest’s eyes—he would eliminate any hidden threats.

He walked Ying Zhao to the courtyard, and even then, the two couldn’t bear to part. Looking at Ernest’s tall figure, Ying Zhao couldn’t help but ask, “Marshal, I’ve heard that your pheromones are so strong that no Omega can get close to you. Is that true?”

After speaking, he pursed his lips slightly, somewhat conflicted as he explained, “Because I don’t have glands, I can’t perceive Alpha pheromones. I was just curious…”

Hearing this, Ernest nodded and said helplessly, “Little one, are you still going to call me Marshal now? Just call me by my name! Or you can call me hubby, or even darling if you’d like!”

Ying Zhao was stunned for a moment by Ernest’s words, casting a light glance at the man. The Marshal immediately sensed a subconscious threat and quickly responded obediently, “Indeed. But I don’t care whether or not Omegas can approach me; I’m not interested in them. The only one I like is you.”

Seizing the chance to confess, the shameless Marshal squeezed Ying Zhao’s palm with a rogue smile, “Baby, I don’t care about other Omegas; I only want you. I want to mark you completely!”

Hearing the man switch to flirtatious talk so easily, Ying Zhao’s cheeks flushed bright red, and he glared at Ernest angrily.

Seeing that he had upset his little companion, Ernest was pleased that his partner was becoming more lively around him. Not holding back, he softly admitted, “But it’s indeed inconvenient. Because of the effects it causes, I can hardly go out freely. Sometimes, I also wish I could walk outside at my leisure…”

Sure enough, as the boy listened, his large eyes immediately looked at Ernest, filled with concern.

Looking at Ying Zhao’s moist phoenix-like eyes, Ernest couldn’t resist pulling him into his arms and kissing him hard. Only after sending out his spirit animal to escort Ying Zhao away did he let go.

Once Ying Zhao’s figure had completely disappeared, Ernest’s face turned grim. He recalled how the boy had been missing all afternoon, causing him to nearly go mad with worry.

He didn’t believe Ying Zhao could have done this on his own; rather, he thought that his enemies had noticed his unusual relationship with the boy and might be planning to target him.

But what method had those old bastards used to block even his spirit animal? Over the years, Ernest had never truly desired to compete for power; everything he did was just going with the flow.

His lack of ambition didn’t mean he was weak. He usually found their little schemes annoying and ignored them as they weren’t too serious.

But now, those people had set their sights on the one he loved, touching Ernest’s reverse scale. The man decided he would not show mercy.

Thus, due to Ying Zhao’s minor actions, the royal family soon experienced a major upheaval. It turned out to be quite a beautiful misunderstanding.

In the following days, Ying Zhao continued his life at the Imperial Academy. Perhaps after accepting his lover’s confession, his mindset changed, and he was no longer as close to the male lead. Instead, he acted constantly busy.

Having sensed the power of the potion Ying Zhao made earlier, Abner didn’t want him to distance himself. Taking the opportunity, he asked Ying Zhao with feigned concern, “Xiao Yan, what’s going on lately? You seem so tired.”

Ying Zhao, with fatigue in his eyes, forced a smile and said, “Nothing much, just been researching potions lately, feeling a bit worn out.”

Seeing the concern in Abner’s eyes, Ying Zhao lowered his head to hide his disdain. Then, lifting his head as though troubled, he looked at Abner, sighing, “Maybe it’s just the pressure lately. Instructor Abner, you know, creating a potion above Grade A is extremely difficult. Although the last one was successful, I can’t guarantee I can make another one anytime soon. What’s even more frustrating is that I’m missing a key ingredient—yuteng grass. Yuteng grass I used before was hard to come by, and I used it all up last time. I’ve been trying to find more recently, but I just can’t get my hands on any. I’m really sorry, Instructor Abner…”

As Ying Zhao spoke, his eyes reddened, and he lowered his head in shame. Seeing Ying Zhao’s guilt, Abner felt anxious but knew he couldn’t rush him.

Especially since he hadn’t realized the previous potion contained the rare Yuteng grass. Such a precious material, and Ying Zhao had used it without hesitation. This moved Abner and convinced him that Ying Zhao was sincere toward him.

Yuteng was almost extinct in the current interstellar age. Only a few noble families had any left. Acquiring such a rare potion ingredient would be next to impossible for someone like Ying Zhao or Abner.

Furthermore, extracting a high-level potion consumed immense mental energy. Given how pure the last potion was, it must have taken Ying Zhao a lot of effort.

Thinking this, Abner felt resentment towards the female lead, Bella. At the same time, he couldn’t let go of such a way to enhance his power, so a plan began forming in his mind after hearing Ying Zhao’s words.

Seeing Abner’s reaction, Ying Zhao knew he had taken the bait, so he didn’t linger. He told Abner that he was exhausted from making potions and needed to rest early.

Abner didn’t object and left Ying Zhao with a heavy heart. Through Xiao Bai’s surveillance, Ying Zhao knew that Abner had already started considering Bella for the Yuteng grass.

After all, Bella was backed by the Auston family. A top-tier noble family like the Austons could certainly get their hands on some Yuteng grass.

However, Abner overestimated Bella’s position. Bella was just a young lady in the Auston family and hadn’t yet shown any remarkable talent.

Such a precious resource like Yuteng grass wouldn’t be easily handed over to her, no matter how wealthy the Auston family was.

Compared to them, Ying Zhao’s lover’s garden was filled with Yuteng grass. If he wanted it, his beloved would certainly not hesitate to give him some. With this thought, Ying Zhao hummed happily as he headed to his underground lab.

He had been busy the past two days, but not for Abner’s sake.

Even though he couldn’t perceive his lover’s pheromones, Ying Zhao knew how much Ernest had suffered due to his special constitution over the years.

So, he decided to create a potion specifically for his lover, one that would conceal or eliminate his Alpha pheromones.

Shaking the vial of special potion, the liquid inside was completely jet black, not letting any light through. It didn’t look like a normal energy potion but more like poison.

Even when opened, the liquid emitted a pungent odor. Ying Zhao pursed his lips, a mischievous smile appearing on his face.

He hadn’t done it on purpose, but to mask Ernest’s pheromones, he had to include some rather unpleasant-smelling ingredients. He was sure Ernest would have an unforgettable experience drinking this potion.

Once he confirmed the potion was ready, Ying Zhao waited until the evening, when the sky was completely dark, and eagerly set off for Ernest’s residence.

Since they had confessed their feelings, Ying Zhao hadn’t had time to see him, and after several days apart, his lover’s mood must have hit rock bottom.

Luckily, Ernest, feeling guilty for nearly forcing Ying Zhao before, had sent his spirit animal, the falcon, to check on him, worried that Ying Zhao might be scared after going home.

Ernest didn’t know that his spirit animal’s identity had already been exposed. Seeing Ying Zhao treating the falcon well and explaining he had important things to do, Ernest refrained from losing his temper.

Now that the potion was ready, Ying Zhao naturally appeared. Ernest had sent people around Ying Zhao to inform him as soon as Ying Zhao left in the evening.

The Marshal had been waiting eagerly in the courtyard, extending his spiritual power to sense Ying Zhao’s presence. The falcon was also on its way to meet the boy.

When Ying Zhao jumped over the fence as usual, intending to land on the ground of the courtyard, he unexpectedly fell directly into the arms of a certain man.

Ernest tightly held Ying Zhao and said through gritted teeth, “Little one, I thought you were going to keep avoiding me! Don’t you know that if you hadn’t come, I would really have gone out to capture you!”

Feeling the man’s strong embrace, Ying Zhao realized that his absence had indeed made Ernest anxious. He patted Ernest’s arm to soothe him and said softly, “Marshal, let go of me for a moment; you’re holding me too tightly!”

Hearing Ying Zhao’s words, Ernest reluctantly loosened his grip but still kept his arms around him, just not squeezing as hard.

Ying Zhao looked at Ernest’s nervous expression, blinked, and quickly took out the vial of black liquid from his pocket, handing it to the man. He said, “The reason I haven’t shown up these past few days is because I’ve been making this potion for you. You mentioned before that you were troubled by your pheromones. Since I am now your personal apothecary, it’s natural for me to help you with this. I’ve been doing everything I could to make this potion to suppress your pheromones.”

Hearing Ying Zhao’s explanation, Ernest’s anger immediately dissipated. Looking at the black potion in his hand, he felt a sense of preciousness.

Curiously, he asked Ying Zhao, “So after I drink this potion, it will temporarily conceal my Alpha pheromones? I’ll be able to go out just like an ordinary person?”

To his surprise, Ying Zhao shook his head and said, “No, Marshal. This is what I was going to explain. After you drink this potion, it won’t just conceal the scent of your pheromones; it will completely eliminate them. In other words, no Omega will be affected by your pheromones anymore.”

At this point, Ying Zhao pursed his lips, his tone somewhat anxious as he continued, “Of course, there are drawbacks. By removing the pheromone’s level suppression, Alpha will not be affected either. So after drinking this potion, you will become like me.”

After speaking, Ying Zhao’s eyes frequently flicked toward Ernest, not wanting to miss even a hint of his reaction. For an Alpha, pheromones were their natural advantage and source of pride.

Having strong pheromones was something every Alpha was proud of. Even though Ernest’s pheromones were strong to the point of being a nuisance, many Alphas still envied and admired him.

Some even believed that an Alpha without pheromones was almost like a castrated person. And now, Ying Zhao wanted Ernest to actively remove his pheromones, which was equivalent to an Omega removing their glands.

If it were any other Alpha, they would definitely be furious upon hearing this. However, this was Ernest, the one who was willing to give up everything for Ying Zhao no matter how many worlds they went through.

Sure enough, after hearing Ying Zhao’s words, the Marshal’s face showed a gentle smile. Without hesitation, he opened the potion bottle and drank the black liquid in one go.

Ying Zhao stared in surprise at Ernest’s decisive action. Even though he knew this would be the result, he couldn’t help but feel warmth flowing through his heart. His lover would never let him down.

Ernest certainly understood what Ying Zhao had been worried about. But even if others looked at him strangely, what did it matter? Not having pheromones was no big deal.

It only showed that they were the perfect match, just like his beloved.

Ernest was only delighted that he would no longer be bothered by uncontrolled Omega disturbances.
