WAM CH19
by LazyPandaLi Guangzong immediately sat up from bed. He glanced at his phone screen and confirmed it was indeed his Daddy Shao.
He scratched his hair, thinking hard: “What time is it, and you’re not sleeping? Chen Yang? Chen Yang, right… Let me think. But why are you looking for him?”
Shao Si didn’t know how to explain and was too lazy to try. Leaning against the car door, he glanced at the person inside.
Gu Yanzhou had his long legs half-curled, lying in a very awkward position in the back seat.
The wind was picking up. Shao Si sat in the car and casually answered while closing the door: “He left something with me.”
“…”
Li Guangzong didn’t quite understand: “When did you two get together behind my back?”
“What do you mean ‘get together’?” Shao Si said. “Am I your dad or are you my dad? Send it to me when you find it. That’s it, be good, goodnight.”
Li Guangzong was caught off guard, hit with a hammer and then fed a piece of candy.
Shao Si hung up after speaking, leaving Li Guangzong sitting on his bed, puzzled as he began flipping through his contacts.
When Shao Si called Chen Yang, it was extremely noisy on Chen Yang’s end. However, after picking up the phone, he deliberately walked outside to avoid the noise, and his voice became increasingly clear: “…Hello, may I ask who is calling?”
“Hello Brother Chen, this is Shao Si, sorry to bother you. It’s like this: Senior Brother Gu got dead drunk and is now in my car. Do you have time to come pick him up? My car is parked right in front of Longyue KTV.”
Something had happened in Chen Yang’s family, with all his aunts crowding into a small room arguing.
After dropping Gu Yanzhou home in the afternoon, he had rushed over. Who would have thought that in the blink of an eye, something would happen on this end too.
“This… what’s going on?” Chen Yang walked outside. “Who was he drinking with? And he got dead drunk?”
This didn’t seem like Gu Yanzhou’s style at all. Whether it was self-control or his ability to manage situations, he always had a good sense of propriety. Sometimes Chen Yang even felt that Gu Yanzhou didn’t need a manager at all; he could handle everything perfectly well on his own.
Shao Si replied concisely: “I don’t know the exact details either. You can ask him yourself after you pick him up.”
“…”
It was quiet on Chen Yang’s end for a moment. Then Shao Si clearly heard a woman with a strong rural accent rush out of the house, shouting: “I will absolutely not give you this money, and this house cannot be divided either!”
“You’ve heard the situation on my end, I’m afraid I won’t be able to make it back anytime soon,” Chen Yang said helplessly. “Could I please ask you to take care of Yanzhou for a bit?”
Shao Si: “No other options?”
Chen Yang: “…”
“Fine.”
Shao Si comforted himself: Just treat him as a corpse. Carry him home, throw him on the sofa, and ignore him. Actually, it’s quite convenient.
Gu Yanzhou was very quiet after getting drunk, just sleeping with his eyes closed. He didn’t snore, nor did he suddenly talk in his sleep and affectionately call out someone’s name.
By the time Shao Si drove the car all the way back to the underground garage, it was already 1:00 AM.
He killed the engine, got out of the car, and walked around to open the back door.
Then he hesitated again.
He really didn’t want to carry him up; it looked tiring just thinking about it.
So Shao Si leaned against the door, brewing for a long time before undauntedly asking Gu Yanzhou: “We’re here. Can you walk on your own?”
“…”
Silence.
Utter silence.
“Forget it.” Resigning himself to his fate, Shao Si rolled up his sleeves, bent down, and climbed in.
Gu Yanzhou was quite heavy, and Shao Si struggled a bit to carry him.
Taking a quick glance in the midst of his labor, Shao Si discovered that the collar of Gu Yanzhou’s shirt had fallen wider and wider open. Perhaps his carrying posture was wrong, but anyone who didn’t know better would think something unspeakable had happened between them.
Peering down from the collar, besides the large expanse of exposed chest, one could vaguely see the faint outlines of his abs.
…No wonder he doesn’t look fat, yet is so strenuous to carry.
Shao Si had also trained his abs before, but his abs looked like a joke. Sometimes, to look good on camera, the makeup artist even had to use contour and highlighter to deepen them.
Now, they had become even more faint, almost non-existent abs.
Back then, Li Guangzong would make a fitness plan for him every week, but all Shao Si knew to do all day was slack off.
The moment Li Guangzong stepped out to answer a call or something, he would immediately jump off the treadmill and curl up on the sofa to play games.
Shao Si carried the man to the door, freeing up one hand to scan his fingerprint and enter the passcode.
Then, true to his word, he tossed Gu Yanzhou onto the sofa and didn’t bother with him anymore.
[Isn’t it a bit unkind of us to act like this?]
Shao Si was a slight neat freak. Feeling uncomfortable smelling the alcohol on himself, he walked into the bedroom to grab some fresh clothes: [What’s unkind about it? I’ve done everything humanly possible. What about you? Last time I looked for you, the auto-reply said the system was under maintenance. How many times a month do you need maintenance? I’m really afraid you’ll just break down completely one day.]
System: [You don’t need to tell me, I’m scared too.]
Shao Si started taking off his clothes, and the system sighed lamentably again: [I am truly a pitiful system plagued by ill fate.]
[…Stop whining,] Shao Si said. [Now that the police are involved in this mission, how does it count?]
His previous missions had all been completed independently. Now, he didn’t know if this counted as a tragic mutation of the situation.
Moreover, even if the police ultimately solved the case, no matter how you looked at it, the credit wouldn’t have much to do with him.
The system admitted frankly: [To be honest, if you could take down this drug trafficking syndicate all by yourself, our dream of living to a hundred would no longer be a dream.]
[Oh, is that so.]
So the mission rewards were originally based on the level of participation in the case.
After taking a shower, Shao Si went to the guest room to fetch a blanket for Gu Yanzhou.
As a result, just as he bent down and was about to toss the blanket indiscriminately over him, his left hand was suddenly grabbed by someone.
He was momentarily stunned.
He saw Gu Yanzhou slowly open his eyes. His gaze was deep, a mixture of sobriety and drunkenness.
The grip on his hand wasn’t light. The finger joints were distinct, the nails trimmed very cleanly.
Shao Si hadn’t washed his hair, but the ends had gotten slightly wet during his shower. Since he was currently leaning forward, two or three water droplets fell directly onto Gu Yanzhou’s neck.
Furthermore, those few water droplets showed a tendency to keep sliding down, trickling diagonally into Gu Yanzhou’s chest, eventually disappearing and leaving only a trail of moisture.
Shao Si struggled with his wrist. Just as he broke free, Gu Yanzhou directly wrapped his arms around his waist and pulled him down onto himself.
…
Fuck.
Using his arms to support himself on either side of the man, Shao Si barely managed to avoid disaster, preventing his face from plastering against the other’s chest.
“Senior Brother Gu, let go.” Shao Si sighed inwardly, deeply regretting not just leaving him at the entrance of Longyue.
Unexpectedly, Gu Yanzhou kept his eyes closed. It was one thing that he was lying beneath him, disheveled and hugging him, but he even raised his other hand to rub Shao Si’s head a couple of times, coaxing, “Lucy, stop messing around.”
Shao Si instantly snapped. Grabbing Gu Yanzhou’s collar with all five fingers, he cursed: “Lucy your mom.”
Since they were so close, a few strands of Shao Si’s hair draped over his chest. Gu Yanzhou probably felt the coolness. He frowned, slowly opened a slit in his eyelids, and said another sentence: “Is your butt itching for a spanking?”
“…”
Gu Yanzhou just looked at him with half-closed eyes for a while.
Then he used a finger to wipe the trail of water on his chest, raised his hand again, and accurately pressed the wet fingertip against the corner of Shao Si’s mouth.
“Lick it clean.” Gu Yanzhou’s voice carried a hint of command, but it sounded more like he was coaxing someone. “…Lick.”
Fuck, a moment of soft-heartedness and it seems I’ve brought a hooligan home.
“Lick my ass,” Shao Si’s face was cold. “Put your hand down, and the other one too… Are you fucking letting go or not? Watch out, I’ll go to the kitchen, grab a cleaver, and chop them right off. Do you believe me?”
The two remained in a standoff for a while longer. Gu Yanzhou even raised his hand to grab his hair, threading his fingers through the strands, humming ‘Lucy is a good baby’.
“This Lucy must have suffered eight lifetimes of bad luck,” Shao Si muttered to himself. “Don’t know if it’s a pet dog or a kept little lover.”
A few minutes later, Shao Si finally managed to climb off of him.
Rolling down his sleeves, Shao Si stood barefoot on the floor. Before leaving, he didn’t forget to kick Gu Yanzhou: “…Be quiet, old hooligan.”
If he disturbed his sleep again, he really would throw him out the door, true to his word.
Shao Si had to get up early the next day; he only had four hours of sleep in total.
When Li Guangzong came knocking on the door, Shao Si was brushing his teeth, slowly shuffling over in his slippers to open it for him.
“Hurry up, hurry up,” Li Guangzong changed into slippers at the entryway and walked in, urging, “Only ten minutes left. Whatever you can do in the car, do in the car. Change your clothes in the car too… Which outfit are you wearing today, I’ll go get it for you. Skip those with collars that are too wide, it’s pretty cold today and…”
…And it’s easy to accidentally expose yourself.
However, these last few words got stuck in Li Guangzong’s throat and he couldn’t say them.
He stood in the living room, staring almost dumbfounded at the man sleeping on the sofa.
“Gu, Gu, Gu…” Li Guangzong’s finger trembled in the air, bobbing up and down. “Why is Best Actor Gu here?!”
Having finished brushing, Shao Si turned back into the bathroom to rinse his mouth, answering indistinctly: “Picked him up on the road.”
When Shao Si came out after rinsing his mouth, he saw his manager crouching next to the sofa, completely useless and looking like a total creep.
Shao Si walked over: “What are you doing? Where are my clothes?”
Li Guangzong waved his hand, reluctant to move his gaze away from his male god’s face for even a second: “What do your clothes have to do with me? Go get them yourself.”
When Shao Si came back out after changing, Li Guangzong was still maintaining that posture without having moved an inch, looking extremely persistent and extremely perverted.
He glanced up at the wall clock and reminded, “Little Son, the ten minutes are almost up.”
“No rush, take your time,” Li Guangzong said. “Why don’t you go to the kitchen, fry yourself an egg, and eat breakfast?”
“Oh,” looking sleepy, Shao Si scratched his hair. “I finally see you clearly. One of you is an old hooligan and the other is a little pervert. You two are a perfect match.”
